I've been purchasing Pheromone perfume from Perfume Emporium for a decade or more. They seem to be the one constant source for this product that is difficult to find just anywhere. It's my wife's favorite fragrance and I am partial to it also. I hope it never goes out of business. It's the one gift I can buy my wife that I can be absolutely sure she is going to appreciate; OK she likes diamonds a lot also, the gemstone, not the fragrance. I trust the Emporium to get my purchase to me when I want it and I always feel secure making my purchase with them on-line. I've never had a problem doing so. It has been a pleasure doing business with them.

  • TERESA02/05/2010

I've only tried the eau de parfum, but it is quite overpowering when you first spray it on. Then it does a drydown that is rather nice. It smells a lot different once it has dried down. I like spraying a little in my hair when it's wet, as it smells very nice once it is dry. It does have a strong "green" herbal scent to me, and I thought it would be spicier from the way it looked in the bottle. I think it would be a good scent to try and layer with something else.

  • VICKI12/22/2009

I have worn Pheromone since it has been on the market ('78). To this day I am still stopped and asked what I'm wearing by men & women. I tell them "A lady never tells her fragrance." I actually had to buy a friend the Men's version he loved mine so much. Due to my allergies, it is one of only three fragrances I wear. Glad I made the right choice.

  • TOM01/25/2009

My lovely wife has used this for years. I love it on her because it smells like no other fragrance on the market.......sexy, too !!

  • KELLY08/06/2008

This smells heavenly on my mom. Men stop her and ask about what she is wearing. It depends on your chemistry. When I wear it it smells ok but not at all like the sexy alluring scent she wears. If I had not tried hers I would not have believed it was the same scent. It just depends on who wears it - that is why it is always a gamble to buy an unfamiliar scent online or from TV.

  • SUZIE07/18/2008

    IT IS ONLY MEANT FOR US SPECIAL PEOPLE WITH THE PERFECT BODY CHEMISTRY.:}

  • SUSAN HAIR07/18/2008

DOESN'T SMELL AT ALL LIKE GRANDMA'S HOUSE GOOF! IT HAS A DIFFERENT FRAGRANCE ON EVERYONE AND IT IS NOT FLOWERY BY ANY MEANS. IT IS PROBABLY THE FINEST SCENT THERE IS.

  • MO05/08/2008

Very heavy flowery-musky, and not at all green as it has been described. Made us think of grandmother's house when all the flowers are blooming in her garden -- a nice memory but not how I want to smell.

  • SIDNEY04/06/2008

A dreary rainy sunday afternoon in comfortable sweatpants and shirt a spritz of Pheromone. Lounging on the sofa watching dvd movies.

  • SUSAN POOLE12/23/2007

This cologne is truly amazing!!! Josephine, if you sell it ,please e-mail me. Thank You Susan

  • JOSEPHINE10/28/2007

I like too much... When the person are negative and have many problems do not like the perfume. When the situation change will like the perfume

  • VAL10/21/2007

Wow I feel a little stupid and silly -I just had a change in heart over this fragrance. I was a little too fast in saying this scent smells like a dusty old drawer - whether in the bottle or on the skin. I wore a sample for two day and received nothing but complements...complements. The scent is almost like aromatherapy all my stress I have been under lately that has me snapping at others and being rude disappeared with the scent. Please I urge you give it a try this might work for you like it did for me.

  • PHEROMONE09/08/2007

Wore this years ago, as did my sister, always smelled good on us. I guess it's just unfortunate if it doesn't work for you, as well as if you happen to smell it on someone who it doesn't work for either. Works for me!

  • BORN4MD05/12/2007

hi, my sister brought over a trial size 112 today. i sprayed it on my hand and i haven't been able to stop smelling it. it's wonderful. i can't find it anywhere either but i just started looking...I WILL FIND IT...hope you like yours....i wonder if pheromone smells anything like 112...anyone know?

  • ANGIE03/30/2007

I'm sorry to some of you who like this, really. I don't like to insult you, and I won't. Honestly, I put this one on, in great anticipation of it's hype & advertising, and it was so bitter, and unwearable to me. My ex-boyfriend, who loved perfume, and my son both smelled it on me, and they both said, NO WAY, IT'S AWFUL! I don't remember smelling too many scents out there that gave me that same negative reaction as this one, but I'm sure there are. For those who enjoy it, good for you.

  • ~SEXXYREDD~02/01/2007

Hello ladies Marilyn was on the hsn today advertising her special edition on 112 and i orderd it because they made it sound so good ... I never even heard of this Marilyn lady before so now I'am on the net trying to check for reviews and i can't find this fragrance anywhere... Maybe i should have did my research first ...Oh well when i get it i'll post about about...wish me luck :)

  • ALISON01/05/2007

Absolutely fabulous. I've been wearing Pheremone for 28 years and get panicky if I even run low. I've had thousands of compliments over the years, but wear it mainly for myself. I just love the warm soft fragrance after it's been on for hours. The oil applied in 4 dots to neck and wrists last even to the next day. The trick with this scent is apply sparingly and NEVER apply more than once a day. You may not smell it on yourself any more, but others can. If you go too heavy, it's tres Grandmere and trails unpleasantly behind you.

  • ANNIE12/01/2006

I have been using pheromone for at least the last 12 years. I love it and I have had many compliments when I wear it (especially from men). When I first ordered it, I loaned my bottle to a friend of mine because she loved the scent on me. She tried it and her sister tried it and both of them were repulsed by the scent on each other. She said that it didn't smell anything like it did on me. As with any fragrance, some will not work with your personal body chemisty as well as others. This works on me and I rarely wear anything else. I suggest to anyone purchasing any fragrance that they buy it with the assumption that they may not be happy with it and get it from a site/store where returns are welcome.

  • TERRI11/29/2006

Brainwashing. That's the only way you'd wear this awful perfume. Brainwashing by all the hype that Marilyn Miglin puts out about this and all her fragrances. This isn't alluring at all. It actually brought tears to my eyes when I put it on. One thing I will say is that it lingers, on and on and on. It stayed on even after several showers. Ugh.

  • RUTH10/20/2006

I have worn this perfume since 1988 and will wear nothing else. Men abd woman alike stop me on the street to ask what I'm wearing. Pheromone is one of the special things I do for me, and my partner reaps the benefits.

  • ANGELINA10/20/2006

I read. Now I know I am an African American woman who NEVER ware "fragrances" unless it was a fruit smell. I favorite is strawberry.. i like smelling eitable. LOL. I heard the Hype over and over gain. I have to agree if you first spary it is is WOW overwhelming. However, once you body mixes with it you have a signature smell. I boyfriend is 26 and he likes it. So to each it own. The scent has been around longer than MOST. So enjoy your sexuality!!!

HAVE BEEN USING THE OIL, LOTION,EDP SINCE 1978 AND ACTUALLY HAVE PEOPLE STOP AND ASK WHAT AND WHERE. MOSTLY MEN WANTING TO BUY FOR THEIR GALS. I WEAR NOTHING ELSE AND USE MOSTLY MM'S PRODUCTS. BEEN TO CHICAGO STORE AND HAD MAKEOVER..WHAT A TREAT.

  • SUHA09/29/2006

I hardly felt dizzy from a perfume... this one made me dizzy. I put a dab on my wrest at night after the shower, it stayed on me until the following day. Dunno, it smelled like a cheap perfume on me. Not my type at all!

  • DANI10/24/2005

Found this scent not very appealing and mostly stinky. As a matter of fact I was told by my husband to please wash it off immediately.

  • TANYA10/23/2005

i just received the sample for this.reminds me of a stronger version of charlie from the 80s.my neighbor(70ish) used to wear that. so needless to say that's what i associate this smell with.i'm a big tribu by benetton fan so this smell is way off my preference.i've smelled perfumes much worse so i'm rating this as so-so.

  • DEDE10/15/2005

Tried this perfume and almost immediately washed it off. One of the all time worst perfumes ever made. This fragrance is not floral, oriental, woodsy or powdery. It just plain "STINKS"..

  • KITTIESMOM10/11/2005

Love this perfume!! Have used it for 10 years now and the hubby still growls when I wear it. Not bad for being married 32 years LOL. Rich, warm scent. Start light handed. Doesn't take a lot to get the impact.

  • CARRIE10/05/2005

I tried pheromone on the wrong day; my ex came by and may I add I damn near had to run for my life! I now only wear it for someone really special and when I want to be CAUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TEAWEED09/13/2005

It starts out nasty, bitter and green, but give it 10 seconds and the nasty bitterness evaporates with the alcohol. It is a dry woody scent, a bit oily smelling, a bit green, slightly floral, and not at all sweet. There's a faint whiff cat-piss--which sounds awful, but actually smells good, and enhances the floral quality. This is not a girlish or yummy aroma; instead it is very beautiful, something Nefertiti might wear. It reminds me of deep pile velvet: darkly sumptuous and sensuously commanding. The scent is intense and long lasting. If you like woody with a bit of green, but Pheromone doesn't do it for you, or is just too heavy, check out Aliage by Estee Lauder. Like Pheromone, it starts out bitter and green, but quickly changes into a lovely woody fragrance with hints of green and spice. It is a bright or energetic perfume, while Pheromone is dark. Unfortunately, it gives me a headache sometimes.

  • ANGELA09/09/2005

this stuff smelled like bug spray when I sprayed it on me its probaly just my skin chemistry.

  • LINDA GUTIERREZ09/02/2005

Absolutely love it, it's addicting, definitely made for the woman that wants to make love. Super sexy. Buying lots more.

  • VICTORIA08/04/2005

This is truly awful. I wear all kinds of perfumes-fresh, flowery, oriental, you name it. Even if I don't like some fragrances for myself, I may still able to appreciate it. This...I don't even know where to start. Sharp, old, musty. Luckily i got a sample before buying so I'm not out any money. this is one of those perfumes that you MUST try before buying or you are gonna be dissapointed. P.S. My husband who normally likes all kinds of perfume said it made him gag.

  • PAULA06/17/2005

I HAD to try this because of all the hype. I think it smells absolutely horrible! It made me nauseaus and gave me a headache. I got it yesterday, and still can't get the smell off me. I'm bummed---really wanted it to smell wonderful! Chemistry, I guess.

  • MYSUNSHINERN06/06/2005

I was introduced to Pheromone by one of my best friends who didn't like it. But after 19+ years of wearing it, I can truly say that it is my most favorite fragrance. I get compliments from men and women, friends and strangers. My husband used to carry the little gold gift bag with the sample parfum on his rearview mirror. If you like this Pheromone, then try the Pheromone Musk too.

  • CONNIE05/03/2005

I love this product, walk in a room and you are the center of attention.

  • BELLE05/01/2005

Really wanted to like this perfume, spent 71 dollars to get the worst smelling perfume I've ever used.I thought it might just be me,but my husband hated it too.

  • JUDI02/16/2005

When I first heard about it, I ran out to smell it and was very disappointed. Heard testimonials on tv (shopping channel) the women were raving, so I went with the ex-boyfriend and teenage son and put it on me and had them tell me what they thought...they gagged and said it was awful. I tried...Most fragrances smell good to me even if they aren't my type but this one reeks to me...but if you like it great!!

  • JOYCE LICATA02/10/2005

My all time favorite. Never fails, whenever i wear it someone will stop and ask, what are u wearing.

  • SHARON WILLIAMS02/09/2005

This perfume stinks. I wasted $35.00 on this terrible scent. I will never order any of her fragances again.

  • EMMA BOVARY01/15/2005

When wearing Pheromone..this is very long lasting. Definately a love it or hate it fragrance. This is one that gets noticed alot when I wear it. I don't detect the "green" notes at all..warm, powdery, incensey...a cold weather fragrance. One thing I must stress here, my experience with ordering Marilyn's fragrances from the TV has not been satisfactory..the quality is not the same.

  • EMMA BOVARY12/31/2004

Pheromone is a different frag...I think that it is a sensual scent..but I just cannot wear it..I get a headache everytime and it is not worth it...absolutely loved this frag at first...very long-lasting.

  • STEVE10/23/2004

I think Pheromone is a great fragrance. I wear Pheromone For Men. I love the men's verson and I'm never without it. I wear it especially during cold weather. The women's version is...I think...very much like the men's version. The women's Pheromone has more of a floral edge to it...like ylang-ylang. The men's pheromone is greener, right out of the bottle, but then, warming to the same "earthiness" that the ladie's version has. When I bought the men's grooming kit (with cologne, soap and an assortment of clippers and such, in a nice black bag.)...I also received a free sample of Pheromone perfume, bath/body oil and a little bag of potpourri. I have never smelled it right out of the bottle, so I opened it and took a whiff. I like it! very sexy, earthy and warm. It sounds strange, but the differences between the two versions is not great...but yet...light years away for each other. They both have the same "base" to the scent. Does it make sense? I've tried a little test with the two versions. I put Pheromone "male" on one arm and Pheromone "Le Femme" on the other arm. I smell the "fem" arm...nice and floral. I smell the "masc" arm...greener. After a while, I smell and compare some more. My hypothisis is...that they both smell... ALMOST... the same ...just a little different! There's something in the two that is exactly the same. It might be patchouli, frankincense, myrrh or some some other smokey, earthy, warm smelling ingredient. I really think the bath oil smells more like the men's version. I think I will give the samples to my lady friend. She use to love Windsong (which I love too!...sexy!...same kind of "earthiness" but Pheromone is MUCH better than Windsong). So...ladies, if you love (or don't love) the female version of the scent, try the men's..you may love/like it more than the original. Who knows...it may even be better with a woman's chemistry. I knew a woman who wore Preferred Stock (yuk!...by Coty). It smelled a hell'uva lot better on her than it did on any man! Try a sample of the men's Pheromone..and compare. You may be very...and perhaps...pleasantly surprised!

  • SC10/22/2004

I have worn nothing but Pheromone for 20+ years. This is not your grandmother's fragrance. I may be considered and older woman but I get frequent compliments from 20 and 30something men.

  • INDERIKA10/17/2004

Pheromone is so different from anything else I have ever smelled before. It's rich, deep, and sensuous. I would agree with other posters that say that it's not really a "green" scent. It's not floral either. I has more of a spicy, amber, woody feel to it. It's very potent, so one or two sprays will do for all day. I would classify it as more of an autumn/winter fragrance. I wouldn't dare spray it on in the summer. It's far to rich and deep. It smells great in the crisp autumn air though. I would recommend this one for special occaisions. It's way too sexy for everyday!

  • YM08/24/2004

Is this the same Pheromone that originally came in a pyramid shaped bottle and was designed based on an Egyptian antiquity formula?

  • MSKRYS08/18/2004

Well I thought it was unusual (in a good way) but my husband could not even stand the smell of it. He said it reminded him of the way his dog smelled after she had been groomed.

  • C PETERSON06/08/2004

Please amend your description on Pheromone--as there are no human nor animal pheromones in Marilyn Miglins Pheromone perfume. I love this perfume and have been using it for 15 years, it is the world's most precious perfume. Very sexy, sensual and very classy. It always evokes a compliment when I wear it.

  • JENNIFER04/25/2004

I like Pheromone, but my husband seems unimpressed, which is strange, given all the ladies who have had so many positive comments from the opposite sex when wearing this scent. I was really hoping that he would like it. I bought a set off of HSN and my husband seems to like Magic and Provoke a lot more than Pheromone.

  • JAYDEE04/18/2004

Lovely scent. Has a similar Channel no. 5 aspect to it.

  • VAL04/18/2004

These boards are a place to receive frank opinions, favorable or unfavorable. This perfume is so repugnant that unsuspecting consumers should know it before they spend their money on it. The marketing tricks people into believing it must be special. And if it smells "expensive," well, it IS expensive. So is lobster but I wouldn't dab it behind my ears.

  • HELLOFOOFEE04/07/2004

It is interesting to see how rude everyone can be to each other on these message boards. Not everyone likes the same fragrance; and those of you who like Pheromone shouldn't say rude things to those people who don't like it--you should be happy. Who wants to go around smelling just like everyone else, anyway? I just bought this fragrance. I tried it at an outlet mall and have been thinking about it ever since. I finally bought a set on Home Shopping Network (they have really good deals on sets of this stuff) and tried out the shower gel and lotion. My husband said that I smelled expensive and my 8 1/2 month old son seems to like it, he's been wanting to nurse and snuggle more often since I've had it on. The lotion lasts a really long time and has warmed to this nice soft powdery fragrance on me. So far I like it, but have yet to try it out in public on others.

  • ANDREA03/16/2004

    Did not like it!

  • NANCY CASSADY03/09/2004

The first time I ever smelled it was on my sister-in-law. I fell in love with it right away and have been using it ever since!

  • PIA02/05/2004

I tried this fragrance again(so as not to throw it out) over the holidays, my dad said it was killing him it is that bad! I only wore the dusting powder that I had received as a bonus when I had received as a bonus when I purchased Marilyn Miglin skin care kit for my mom as a mother's day gift. She did not like the Pheromone either so I kept it. Don't know what the big hype is with this one, like Val said "brilliant marketing" sell anything if people will buy it!

  • VAL01/17/2004

This smells like a dusty old drawer - whether in the bottle or on the skin. The emporer has no clothes - and this stuff stinks. The marketing geniuses who persuaded women of a "scientific" link between this substance and male attraction - BRAVO!! You could sell anything to anyone.

  • GYPSY01/11/2004

I was lucky enough to get this as a gift. Did you ever consider that perhaps the chemical reaction to your own body scent may cause you to dislike it?I, and everyone around me say they love it!

  • DORY01/08/2004

The first time I tried it I hated it,decided to send it back so tried it one more time and.....wow...I couldn't believe how wonderful it smelled. Totally blew me away..please give it a chance it seems to work with your body chemistry...I love it!!

  • VERNITA12/31/2003

I loved the scent so much that I made Pheromone immediately my signature scent. I love this fragrance! I have also found that men REALLY like this smell on me. This fragrance is a fabulous magnet for me. I have a strong self confidence when I wear this fabulous Pheromone. I use all the other Pheromone products like the bath gel, lotion and powder. When you first put Pheromone on you have to give this fragrance about 60 seconds before the real you come out, because it work with your chemistry in your own body to form your own smell JUST FOR YOU AND YOU ALONE. And no other woman will smell like you wirh your chemistry. Pheromone is absolutely the best, sexiest, most womanly fragrance I've ever worn or ever will. Don't let the first spray fool you. THE FRAGRANCE WILL FORM TO YOUR CHEMISTRY. I LOVE PHEROMONE AND WILL NEVER CHANGE!!

  • : )12/19/2003

I'm 22 and I've been wearing it since I was about 18. I feel in love with it when I smelled it on one of my mothers' friend. She told me what it was so I bought a bottle...I though it smelled very bad but I still tried it on..and it smells nothing like it on. I've been in love with it ever since. People always say how great I smell.

  • MANDY12/17/2003

ONITACY is right. The body oil is best. Also fab is the Liquid Gold lotion. I love this one, but it doesn't really suit me. Her new fragrance Provoke is fantastic.

  • STEVE D.12/10/2003

Whenever I smell this my eyes glaze over. I kind of lose my senses. I feel like I'm being taken captive, only I want to be. My wife says she caught me wearing this.

  • ONITACY11/23/2003

can't be wrong...for me. Men complement me on this all the time, wxcept my boyfriend who thinks its too strong. It starts strong then warms to an exotic scent. The body oil is the best, especially when you put it on your sheets and pillows!

  • LISA10/23/2003

It smells old, out-dated, and heavy. There's nothing "light" about it. Yuck! If a woman has to suffer with that fragrance to get a man....help us!

  • PIA09/15/2003

this scent is awful at first and then about 15to 20 min later it does smell rather good and sexy too, but I still don't like it for myself. I want a fragrance to smell good right away not 20 minutes later!

  • RD IN MARYLAND09/11/2003

I have been wearing this scent over 10 years, the men love it I love it. It will blend in wit your body chemistry even women ask What is that you're wearing. It's my signature!

  • JACKIE07/29/2003

For those of you who don't like Pheromone, you have to give it at least 15 minutes for the real fragrance to come through. I hated it when I first sprayed it on my wrist. About 15 minutes later, I noticed this delicious, sexy scent. If you really want a sexy, unique fragrance, try layering Pheromone with the Destiny. Drove my husband wild!! He told me to buy it and buy it now!

  • ELONA07/15/2003

I love this and have had many compliments from men while wearing it. It lasts all day and is ever changing. It goes from sharp and green to warm and mellow by day's end. Its the closest I come to something I would consider a signature fragrance.

  • AUSTINMOM07/05/2003

I'm in my 30's. I just bought the small size and couldn't be happier. When I first pulled it out of the little gold bag it comes in I was like, "ugh...this is so early 80's...you know that "charlie" or "enjolie" scent from mom's room growing up..." but give it a few minutes to blend with your skin... it's been about 15 minutes now. Much softer and more loose. My husband should be home from work any minute. We'll see! I like it. I think he will too.

  • SUSAN07/05/2003

When I first put this on, I thought...ugh...this smells like my mom's bathroom growing up (I'm 32). Give it a few minutes to blend with your skin. Don't spray on your clothing! Only wrists, neck, etc. After about 5-10 minutes the "baby powder" and "old lady" scent will greatly subside and there is this relaxing, soft, yet a little sexy scent that is really wonderful.

  • GOLDENLADY05/07/2003

I liked this fragrance 20 or more years ago and whenever MM talks about men following women around with this perfume, I can vouch for that. A male horse followed me around once with his nose to my neck, men liked it on me back then, too. Now I think it smells dated and I like newer, fresher scents just like many younger women do. I think it has more to do with the times than anyone's age. I agree with Jeanne, the description is all wrong. It is heavy, not a light green floral.

  • PATRICIA CRAIG04/16/2003

I love it and am back for more...There is nothing like it if you want to be the sensual woman

  • AURELIE03/25/2003

Whoever posted that this fragrance smells like clean sweat: That's exactly it! Sexy...

  • TEXAS GAL03/21/2003

I finally got to smell Pheromone and boy was I disappointed! I wanted so much to like it too. I don't wish to offend anyone, but it smells like a mature womans fragrance. Being thirty, I'm not quite ready to smell like a Grandmother. Initially, it was pretty strong, but did eventually slightly mellow. However, I still felt as if I should be at my weekly beauty shop appointment for a shampoo and set. Maybe I'll experience an epiphany and realize what a truly remarkable fragrance this is and regret that I shunned it. Until then I'll wait about thirty or fourty years and give it another go. Maybe by then I will be able to tolerate it due to my aging olfactory cells.

  • MIYA03/19/2003

I bought this one because I heard about this perfume and its pheromone effect. It smells nice somewhat like "Beautiful" from Estee Lauder. However, neither "Pheromone" nor "Beautiful" are my smell. Not sexy enough for me. I like "Dolce & Gabbana" more or "Gucci Rush"

  • LANNISA03/14/2003

This is the best most exquisite fragrance in the worl. I absolutle love it. Perfect strangers come up to me and say how nice I smell. I have the cologne, theoil, the lotion, the powder and the velvet. This is fit for royalty.

  • LORRAINE03/09/2003

Everywhere I go someone has something positive to say about this fragrance!

  • ROBIN LARSON03/05/2003

I have been using this fragrance for years. People come up to me and say "You smell great, What are you wearing" It is easy for me to tell them since this is all I wear!

  • JEANNE03/01/2003

I have most of marilyn's fragrances. I wouldn't describe this as a floral at all, nor a green fresh type scent. This is a deep scent, almost masculine. People bought it because of the hype about the pheromone attracting men, blah, blah, blah, Maybe its for some of you out there but I definitely wouldn't call it a floral or fresh scent.

  • MAYA02/28/2003

DO try the parfum. It's obcenely expensive, and worth every penny. Put it on,wait a bit, smell yourself and...blush!

  • MICHELE02/24/2003

The first time I smelled this fragrance, it was on a woman I absolutely could not stand. But I found myself strangely drawn to her. It was a very conflicting situation - I thought I was becoming a lesbian, and I like to consider myself a flaming heterosexual! About a year later, I was seeking a new fragrance for myself, and discovered Pheromone in Neiman-Marcus in downtown Dallas. It totally changed my "smell universe"! I wore it for a day, and realized it was the scent on the woman I didn't like. I loved the scent so much that it immediately became my signature scent, and I forgave her for everything I didn'tlike about her, simply she had the good taste to wear this fragrance! I have also found that men REALLY like this one on me, (men I know and men I'd never have met, were it not for this fabulous magnet) and have had no shortage whatsoever of dates or self confidence when I wear it. I like to layer it with as many products as I can, including the bath gel, lotion, powder, and deodorant before the final eau de parfum spritz. It's not too heavy this way, even tho' it seems like a lot; it lasts all day, and even makes your clothing carry the faint suggestion of the aroma. Absolutely the best, sexiest, most womanly fragrance I've ever worn. [I just re-read this: I should be in marketing!!]

  • SCARLETT02/14/2003

It would appear from these reviews that people feel strongly about Pheromone scent. It's one extreme or the other. I love it and the response it provokes from men.

  • MARYMAGS02/05/2003

    possitively the sexiest scent ever.

  • BARBARA02/03/2003

i don't care for this one. it's too strong for me, and has some undernotes that i don't care for. i like destiny and goddess much better.

  • MAYA01/30/2003

My sisters and I certainly wouldn't LET men fall at our feet, because all 3 of us are happily married. As teenagers,we were very unlucky, with boyfriends,we were treated very badly. One day I just got totally fed up and stopped being nice,I had decided I prefered being alone to being treated like a door mat.I watched Aphrael struggle to at least stay on friendly terms with the men in her life, but the worst was watching Lola go through hell because of an especially callous young man.We were 19 years old, back then, and decided to leave France and come to the U.S.It was a fresh start,of sorts, and all 3 of us were perfectly happy to adjust to life in a different country, learn the language and heal from the past.As the old cliche goes, when you least expect it...is when things happen! One by one,we met the men that would turn out to become our husbands. We did try to litterally chase them off,at first, but for example in my case,he became the first thing I thought of waking up, and the last thing I thought of, going to sleep. When it was obvious that things were getting very serious indeed,I even tried to break up with him, saying that I would sooner beat up and dump a guy that would try to hurt me,than take a chance at getting hurt again. So he pulled out a ring and said:"Well, then, get on with it,because the quicker you beat me up,the quicker we can get married."I'll spare you the nauseating details, but I will tell you that it had nothing to do with perfume, although he does love my scent, and the last time I heard, my sisters are doing fine in that department as well.Do men seem attracted to us?Yes.But I think it's an attitude thing. It's very hard to resist Lola when she decides she WILL make you laugh,no matter what,or Aphrael who really seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to understanding the core of human emotions. But, to many,we are sort of a freak show.We really do look identical.Right now our hairstyles are different, and life experiences such as injuries, childbirth experiences and such have left telltale marks on us that can differentiate us from each other, but we are physically the same.Men have always reacted strangely,to this.At this time in our lives, thankfully we are all very happy, and that's a hugely powerful feeling.Maybe that's what strangers find attractive.Aphrael's theory is that the comments on perfume are just an excuse to break the ice and start a dialogue. It would be really interesting to see what would happen if we stopped wearing it! Many people on this board are quick to dismiss the stories as fictional, and some even react in anger. But don't anyone expect any of us to apologize for being vocal about our life experiences,or even try to explain, justify our words in a pathetic attempt to appease the crowd...It was Lola who first dicovered this perfume site,Aphrael and I came on later. It's a fun way to share a common passion with a world of people, and since perfume is so personal, it seems that one would have to get personal in order to really bring out the experiences that scent creates. And by the way, there is no magic scent. It really is all about chemistry. Some scents I can't wear during certain times in my cycle, other scents are best during those times in my cycle.Hormonal drops and build up affect chemistry,as well as pheromones and in turn natural body scent. That will affect perfume. Aphrael swears that during ovulation time, fragrances with strong, animalic notes are best,if you want to smell sexually attractive. But unless you are identical siblings spawned from the same egg, each person is different and unique in chemistry and will react to perfumes in their own way.One more tip : PLEASE,do NOT drink too much alcohol if you wear Pheromone!!! It is a beautiful, erotic, sensuous blend, but it will turn evil on a person who has had too much to drink. As luck would have it,I learned that the hard way!Peace to all...

  • SARAJEVO01/21/2003

I know that all of you prefer pure perfume juice as a fragrance form ( there is so many reasons for that), so I wonder what form of Pheromone you use. I also have two big, big questions for you. Im am 28 years old, had one great love that did not finish as my heart wanted, I am not bad looking, but I am really shy and never had success in male-female relations. I know that is all in hands of God, luck and ourselves, but I always think that fragrances might be of some help. So, as I while reading your wonderful posts started to admire you on any life fild, I just want to ask you: -what female perfume or perfumes you consider as sexiest in all perfume world (according to the your experiences and responses and reacting of your husbands and other males)? -as perfume range in my country is limited if you have to choose between Opium, Coco, Hypnotic poison, D&G, Organza Indecence, Deep Red, which one would you choose as the sexiest? Thank you for all your previous posts.

  • CHYNA01/15/2003

You and your sisters always seem to get men dropping at your feet no matter what perfume you wear. It is amazing. You must get so much practice fending them off. I get compliments on my perfume and I know other women who do and we have never had anything so out there said to us. Men in the city I think know better than to blatanly ask about hopping in the sack or asking about marital status. Or maybe the perfume doesn't smell as good on us as it does on you. Simply incredible.

  • DECAR12/01/2002

Boucheron smells as if I should be wearing a fur (faux) coat and diamonds (diamonique). So I do and enjoy the compliments from the fellows.

  • DECAR12/01/2002

Ladies please remember...Perfumes do not smell the same on everyone. Our body chemistry determines how the perfume will smell on us. It is possible to take one perfume and spray it on 20 ladies and get 20 different scents. I am single and have never been without a date if I am wearing Pheromone...I wear it well.

  • MAYA11/16/2002

...Well,it didn't take me long to hurry back to Pheromone, that's for sure...After my election night disaster,I went through a major deep cleansing episode: I drank so much water, herbal teas and diluted juices it almost felt like a medieval torture, stopped wearing Pheromone for the duration of my "treatment", and put myself through a rigorous regimen of sadistic, aerobic, sweat inducing exercises to get my system cleansed from inside out. I also increased time spent in the steam room, drank more water, and finally indulged in a lymphatic drainage massage, curtesy of Lola, who felt quite guilty about ratting me out to everyone. And at last, the remnants of my traumatic drunken night disappeared, and I finally feel like myself, again. So this morning,I reached for my Pheromone soap and spray oil.And the magic came right back. The scent is not sweet at all, it is a tad on the herbal side,at least in the top notes, slowly becomes earthy, and in the drydown develops a musky, animalic aura that is most sexy.It is not the sweet, sugary stuff that one might expect from such a long lasting brew, nor is it the vanillic angle that is present in so many so called "sexy" blends.Pheromone is more like a " natural body scent enhancer",if that makes any sense. To me,it is reminiscent of what a woman would normally smell like,if she was healthy, happy, clean and very,very...horny.So,no,Pheromone does not smell like flowers or fruit or anything like that,it smells simply like a charnel, sensuous woman who knows that the best aphrodisiac is her own essence and is about to prove it.Some people have described it as an oriental,(it was, after all, developped in Egypt),to me it's more like very full-bodied chypre with a dash of saltiness to it,it really makes me think of clean sweat.I know I'm probably grossing out a lot of you out there, but you really have to have spent an entire week in bed, doing the most wonderfully naughty things in the world with a very special someone, without coming up for air,to relate to the deeply troubling, unmentionably erotic smell left lingering around afterwards. And that's the scent of Pheromone. It's not for everyone, but those of you who love it know exactly what I'm talking about...

  • ANNIE11/13/2002

Pheromone is the best ever. It is the only thing I wear, and I have worn it for years. I have had many, many people ask for the name and where to buy the perfume I was wearing. I LOVE IT

  • MAYA11/08/2002

Gee,thank you SOOOOO much for respecting my right to make an ass of myself in private.Yes,it is true that, like all perfumes,Pheromone reacts quite badly to an alcohol soaked system. As a matter of fact,it reacts worse than most.I mean,oh, God,it really was awful. But YOU 'd better watch over your shoulder from now on,because I will get you back when you least expect it,and Papa is not there to save your ass this time.(actually,I was even thinking of giving him the P.E email address so he can log on and see for himself) You backstabbing, tattletelling, nosy old thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOLA11/06/2002

...Last night my family and I watched in horror as the news showed the republicans take control of the elections.I'm afraid this was a bit much for Maya to endure, and she decided to...self medicate,a bit, to dull the effect this grotestque circus show was having on her delicate sensitivities...Well,people, just so you know,DO NOT EVER DRINK ALCOHOL IF YOU ARE WEARING PHEROMONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My drop dead gorgeous, ever sweet smelling baby sis turned into a hiccupping, slurring pile of rancid, sour smelling blob, the poor thing was a mess...I am sure this is true of most perfumes, you know,I mean alcohol imbibed skin and alcohol oozing sweat glands just don't agree with fragrance, but in the case of pheromone, you truly need to run for cover! Now I know that after reading this, and once she's regained her footing,Maya is likely to chase me around the house with a bottle of vinaigre laced Pheromone, but she should have known better than to demolish a super jumbo size screwdriver when she hardly ever drinks at all in the first place. At least she could have washed off her fragrance FIRST.I can't wait to see what she will come up with in retaliation...

  • MAYA11/05/2002

This morning ,since I CANNOT resist the opportunity to stick it to the republicans,I went to vote. And I was wearing Pheromone.Since I started wearing it again,by the way, my husband has not been able to keep his hands,nose,lips,and...well, you know, off of me,and we've been having a wickedly good time, together,so I don't think I'm going to switch anytime soon...So anyway, this morning,I was on my way to vote and as I was waiting in line,a middle aged 3 piece suit walked up to me and said:"Young lady,I don't mean to be rude, but this is hardly the place to come, smelling like you are about to jump into bed to make some gentleman the happiest man on earth." So I said :"Sir,You are being rude, and I am about to have a roll in the hay with my husband and wish him the best of mornings." The man's jaw dropped, and then he started laughing. He said:" O.K, I suppose I deserve That. But could you please tell me what on earth you are wearing,it is simply the most enticing thing I have ever smelled on a woman, and my wedding anniversary is this week". When I told him,his jaw dropped one more time, and he said:"Are you kidding?Because My wife tried it a few months back, and it was the worst, most offensive smell to ever hit my nose!" I showed him my purse spray, he confirmed that it was the same Pheromone that his wife had tried, and was truly dumbfounded. So, since the line at the voting poll was still long,I proceeded to educate this man about the horrible and unfair truth of personal body chemistry. Most people who are remotely familiar with fragrance know about this chemistry stuff. But with this particular one,it's extreme.Luckily I have always gotten compliments from both men and women, when I use it.The women describe it as powdery, and the men describe it as musky ,hormonal and animalic. But it is a capricious scent that can at times, refuse to bond with some types of chemistry.

  • MAYA10/22/2002

Today,as soon as I woke up,I felt cold, tight everywhere, and chilled to the marrow. So I decided to choose a strong, deep, musky fragrance that wouldn't come off as the sweet stuff that people tend to wear when the weather turns cold.So I decided to go with Pheromone, especially since I haven't worn it in ages. The idea, with such a strong blend,is to go EASY.I used the scented soap, the body cream, and the tiniest drop of parfum at the base of my neck.My sister's cat immediately jumped into my lap and started purring like a locomotive. (She also likes Shalimar) Then I had to go run a few errands, and a man stopped me on the street and said the strangest thing:" It's obvious that you are not wearing any perfume, nor should you-you have the loveliest natural body scent I've ever detected on anyone before. Your husband is a very lucky man." Of course, tricky little creature that I am,I thanked him for his nice comment and did not set him straight, after all, where would be the fun in unveiling the mystery... Then feeling slightly warmed up,and not wanting to get cold again,I went to a full service station to refuel my car. When I lowered the window to pay,the man who had just pumped the gas into my tank caught a breath of my fragrance and exclaimed:"Lady, you smell fantastic. Please tell me you're single or you will break my heart." I told him I was sorry to break his heart, but that I am very happily married. He said he would never forget the way I smelled,no matter what. And I left, wondering If I had woke up and entered the twilight zone,on this cold morning...

  • COURTNEY COX10/16/2002

My grandmother gave me a bottle last Christmas and told me I had to tell her how it worked. I did not tell my boyfriend that I had gotten a new perfume, and the very first time I wore the fragrance, he LOVED it! Even if the claims of the perfume are false, it seems to have those affects on him; he tends to fuss at me if I wear it around anyone but him! :D

  • PAISLEY10/07/2002

I've been using this product for about a month. It helped me meet my boyfriend. He said I smelled wonderful and we began talking about frangrance and such and then he invited me out to talk more. We've been going out for months and I always wear Pheremone. He repeatedly tells me how very great I smell. I even get nice gestures from other men. It's great that we (women) have a magnet and that magnet is pheremone. Try it. It works. I'd love to hear your experiences with pheremone!

  • PEGGYM08/31/2002

I think you have to be a "special" person to wear this and pull it off! I must be very special - it is simply divine on me!!

  • JOANNE07/30/2002

I have worn this fragrance for 12 years. Men always tell me I smell wonderful, and women love it. It smells differently on dark haired women (strong), so it is not for everybody. Try before you buy.

  • APHRAEL07/11/2002

It seems to many of you out there that Pheromone does not suit all, and that it is a very extreme scent:either fantastic or dreadful, with nothing in between. So of course, wanting to live dangerously, I decided to try it:VAVAVAVOOM!!!!! This stuff should be advertised as the "no side effect viagra side kick".I think I'll buy a gallon, thank you.

  • GAIL06/12/2002

Your message to Ralph cracked me up!! Thanks for the good laugh!LOL!! As far as the scent goes, you're right, you have to have the right chemistry to pull this one off! I personally do not, and have not met to many who do!

  • CAROLINE06/10/2002

I actually don't mind the way it smells that much. I never bought a bottle because I used to work at a perfume counter. But I asked three separate men (when this fragrance was practically brand spanking new and was bragging that there were attracting pheromones in it) none of them liked it at all. And the wierd thing was men usually liked just about anything I wore. Hmmm...what kind of pheromones were in there I wonder?

  • LOLA06/08/2002

Ralph, where ever you are,one question if you please:ARE YOU FOR REAL???i read your coment about L.Lempika and now about Pheromone.and i honestly "dunno whah i shud make of dis"...

  • RALPH06/08/2002

Ah, tis is how I woem shuld smell!!!

  • MILLIE05/15/2002

Smells just like Wind Song. Why not save money and buy Wind Song instead.

  • LOLA05/12/2002

there are not two women in this whole universe who will react the same way to this scent.on some it stinks,on others it is magical.but it is always different and unique.although in truth, not many women can pull it off.however, when it works,it is divine.

  • KIRA04/19/2002

Overdone. This one still follows you around after you've washed it off. I finally got it washed off my clothes. Terrible!!!!

  • ANIKTRA04/06/2002

Pheromone truly stays with you all day! It is completely awesome!!!!!

  • LAURA T03/10/2002

I LOVE THIS.JUST A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY.I HAVE BEEN WEARING THIS OVER 10 YEARS,AND MEN AND WOMEN WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS THAT YOU ARE WEARING.THAT HOW I GOT MY HUSBAND.(TEE HEE)

  • ROMY03/06/2002

    That about wraps it up.

  • AMY02/21/2002

This should be classified as pollution!!!

  • CYNTHIA AMORESE02/18/2002

I knew a boy in grade school whose hair always smelled as if he'd been standing near a bonfire. Pheromone smells the same way.

  • LINDA02/07/2002

Pheromone is subtle, soft and enticing. It's the only fragrance I'll ever wear, and the one of the only fragrances that doesn't give instant migranes to those who are usually allergic to perfumes. Thank you, Marilyn Miglin!

  • NATHALIA12/30/2001

First, I enjoy the fragrance and have received many compliments while wearing it. Secondly, personal taste is just that - personal. What one woman adores may make another woman wretch. Parfume is an indulgence and something that is to be enjoyed. Surely all who enjoy something as delicate a fine fragrances are above such insults as "you smelled your upper lip" and other playground taunts. Let's all just give our opinions about the fragrances and not have this forum turn into a junior high school chatroom experience. Nathalia Kerney, Ph. D.

  • AIMEE12/20/2001

1st try: men's shaving cream; hamster's cage; 1 of Chanel's. It may have been a bad batch. My boyfriends comment was that it smelled like piss!..2nd try: hairspray; antiperspirant; cool; spicy. The best comment I can make is that it is kind of a cross between L'Air du Temps and Eau de Camille.

  • COLLEEN12/19/2001

Pheromone is a wonderful fregr. I wish people would be a bit more polite and really try Pheromone. It smells so wonderful and men just love it just as the women.

  • CAROL12/08/2001

By the way, I do not like anything but the pefum in Pheromone...everthing else seems watered down...

  • CAROL12/08/2001

I have been using pheromone for at least l0 years and have gotten more compliments...I am always asked what I'm wearing and how great I smell..Men always love it..funny but I can't wear obsession ..I find that too overpowing, never pheromone....but it does have a "different" feel than other perfumes and it does evoke a strong reaction as Pat said in "either direction".

  • L. 12/05/2001

For me, most perfumes trigger migraines. I also have a problem with most scents just not working with my chemistry. Pheromone is the only one I'll wear - I love it, and no headaches.

  • H11/26/2001

I don't care for this at all. It was stinky!

  • MARY E11/15/2001

bought my first bottle from hsn and also bought the body powder. love it am so glad perfume emporiam carries it .thank you

  • JOSEPHINE VERGNE11/11/2001

If your are negative person, you do not like pheromone. Pheromone is not for all people is for sofisticate person and possitive people.

  • GAIL11/06/2001

    Try bathing before applying fragrance.

  • LONNEKE11/06/2001

Gail, That was probably your upper lip.

  • MICHELLE11/01/2001

I bought this fragance after I could no longer find the pheromone fragance I had a few years back. Horrible

  • AGREE WITH LONNEKE10/17/2001

I agree with Lonneke. I was at my health club yesterday, and could barely stand to be there with this woman. I finaly asked her what perfume she was wearing so that I would never accidently buy it. She thought I was asking because I liked it!!!Too bad she had no clue how strong and stinky it was. It lingered in the air after she was gone for a good half an hour.Yuck!!

  • JANE DOE10/12/2001

if you stink it will smell bad

  • KATHY10/07/2001

I found Pheromone on HSN and have more compliments on how great it smells than any other perfume I have ever worn. I have used it for about 4 years now. Wouldn't want to be without it.

  • LONNEKE09/24/2001

I am a lover of nearly all perfumes. I wear anything from musky to light and fruity, because I have a very tolerably taste of nearly everything. however, this fragrance is overwhelmingly heavy, in a negative way because the dark tnoes overpower all this. if anyone watns to know how this smells, simply imagine a heavy chemical substance most like insect spray, with musk and overdone flowers. this is one fragrance i truly do not like

  • CHERYL08/17/2001

I have worn this fragrance for years. I've more compliments when men smell it, they love it. Each womens body chemistry makes this one either work for you or not. I pay good dollars at Nordstroms for this fragrance.

  • GINNY08/07/2001

STRONG! It took me forever to wash it off me and my clothes. P-U!

  • MARY07/30/2001

This perfume even gets a varied response from me. Just to preface, I love spicy/oriental scents. However, I range from truly hating this perfume to finding it tolerably wearable. The history and ingredients sound marvelous and were what attracted me to trying this fragrance. At this point, I'm just trying to use it up in order not to have wasted the money. This is definitely one that will get a reaction, one way or another.

  • AMY07/22/2001

This stuff absolutely choked me to death. Not to mention, it took forever to wash the scent off. Try before you buy. This one is not for everyone.

  • KARINA07/22/2001

There are some scents that people either love or hate, and Pheromone is one of them-which is probably why there are so many conflicting opinions about it on this site. Generally, the "stronger" a scent is, the stronger the responses to it, both good and bad. I happen to love Pheromone, but if you don't like rich, floral/Oriental s, then it's probably not for you-i.e., if your favorite fragrances are "light", "modern" or "unisex", don't buy it! Interesting tidbit-did you know that this is Jennifer Lopez's favorite perfume? :-)

  • VICKI06/25/2001

HI GIRLFREIND, I NOTICED HOW ON THIS FORUM HOW EXTREMELY PICKY YOU ARE!! LOL! WELL OK I HAPPEN TO LOVE PHERMONE LIKE THESE OTHER LADIES AND I ALSO LOVEE MY BOUDOIR [ TELL CASSIE THIS ONE IS FOR HER SHE MADE HER MOM GET RID OF HER BOUDOIR THE NERVE OF HER! LOL! YOU NOW HOW MUCH BOUDOIR OR PHERMONE COSTS??????} THESE ARE GORGEOUS FRAGRANCES WITH A RICH HISTORY ABOUT THEM LAY OFF THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS TRACEY

  • CAROL05/05/2001

Tastes do vary. I have worn this perfume for over 16 years and still receive many compliments on how nice I smell. It is my signature scent and I would be lost without it.

  • TRACY04/11/2001

This one just didn't set well with me or on me. It made me gag and I thought it smelled like a combination of a men's cheap aftershave and an insect repellant. Tastes sure vary!

  • VICKIE LAUER03/19/2001

This perfume is soo sensuous. It has a deep spicy wood scent.. I love it. It is the only fragrance I wear.

  • PAT02/21/2001

I have gotten more compliments on this cologne & perfume than any other I have worn..This is my all time favorite!

  • PAT LYONS01/20/2001

A very distinct fragrance and one loved by males and females. My signature fragrance

  • RENEE R. SHELTON12/01/2000

this is my favorite perfume and I've worn it for years because I've received more compliments from both men and women as to the smell of my perfume.
