Slightly let down on this one. It does smell good, very sweet. Similar to Givenchy Rouge and similar to Diesel Zero Plus. Not a bad scent, but nowhere near Jacomo de Jacomo - the original. That stuff is way more potent and sexy. Rouge is pretty good not a waste of money - because you can find it cheap - but I am a little disappointed here. I was expecting a more much sexy scent. However, it is definitely solid, just not as good as I was hoping. Givenchy Rouge is probably better. If you are going to buy Jacomo, buy the original - that is how a real man is supposed to smell.

The opening scent confuses a bit, but the dry down is great, semi sweet and spicy. I would say it's more of a cold weather scent.

Not a fan of Jacomo at all particularly because all the scents are cheap smelling and the low prices tell you that. None of them really last and seem (at least this one) too synthetic. Oh yeah, W.B. = R.J. - if you come across the Francesco Smalto page then you'll see what I mean with their reviews a minute apart on the same date.

Hi Pru, thanks for your kind message. Sorry, but I never smelled Paradox green by Jacomo. It comes in a green plastic box and that's what I found for you via the internet: YEAR INTRODUCED - 2003. FRAGRANCE NOTES - exotic, aromatic woods, romantic. Good luck to find this new fragrance. Greetings from Germany, Sylvie.

Totally agree with you. Your description is perferct, this fragance is excellent . In my opinion has got the best of Givenchy and Rochas. Do you know anything about paradox green . If Jacomo keeps this level in fragances will be number one.

I'm a perfume addict & collector since over 25 years and I know every Jacomo fragrances for men. Jacomo (French perfume house/not Italian) is not very popular, so their fragrances are more "insider-tips". The black bottle JACOMO de JACOMO (their first fragrance and the classic) is a very unique, wonderful balanced and outstanding scent. There is no similarity to any other men's cologne!!! See my comment under JdJ black. - Jacomo Ambro (discontinued) is similar to Jean-P. Gaultier for men. Very good, with a hint of mint and a nice masculine, musky drydown. Now the brandnew *JACOMO ROUGE* smells very trendy and sharp! Breathtaking! I like it from the first sniff!!!! It reminds me of the discontinued Jacomo Ambro (but not so musky), A*men/Angel by Thierry Mugler, Lolita Lempicka for men (without the anise), and Rochas Man (fougère/oriental with a chocolate/coffee note). All these fragrances are special and not for everybody. More love or hate scents, because they are so extreme, very trendy and foody. ROUGES's drydown smells sweet, gourmand and vanillic. Yummy!!! Excellent & long-lasting! Thank you, Jacomo! Well-done!

I'm P.O.'d. Jacomo discontinued Ambro, which is fantastic oriental with mint and woody tones, and brought out this drivel that is too sweet and powdery. What were you thinking, Jacomo?????????

  • R.J.04/14/2004

I LIKE THIS SCENT. IT KIND OF REMINDS OF ME OF HANAE MORI, BUT THAT'S A GOOD COMPARISON BY FAR. A FUTURE KEEPER.

  • W.B.03/31/2004

I SAMPLED THIS RECENTLY AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. IT DOES REMIND ME OF XERYUS ROUGE IN A WAY, BUT IN A GOOD WAY AT THAT. THIS COULD A CLASSIC FOR JACOMO IN DUE TIME. JUST WAIT.
