I absolutely love this fragrance. To me it smells a little like fresh pears.
Purchased this fragrance unsniffed based on description and Ann's and Annmarie's comments on this board. I'm more into gourmand and floriental fragrances but wanted something different and rare.I expected a transparent floral, something like "Pleasures" by Estee Lauder. This one is not similar at all to a transparent floral. To my nose it's a carnation floral with a hint of musk. A bit like "Narcisse" by Chloe (one of my faves) minus the spices and less sweet. I also detect a grassy note in it. The smell reminds me of a hand cream my granny used to wear in the seventies and brings back wonderful memories from my childhood. And yes, I think of fresh shower when I sniff it, and so did my husband when he first sniffed it.. Very intense and long-lasting like Joy, which is too rosy for me, and in my opinion easier to wear than Joy. As with any fragrance- try it first!
I don't know what the exact notes are for PanAme, but this reminds me of grapefruit on the top, and then dries down to a very pleasant, fresh fragrance. Pretty and inoffensive, a nice summer scent. Patou does nice fragrances.
