This fragrance doesn't suggest licorice but it reminds me of licorice candy. The drydown is soft but has staying power. It is a very sensual womanly fragrance and even if you don't like the taste of licorice candy, which I don't, you will love the fragrance.

Too powdery-sweet for me - reminds me of Angel and Euphoria which definitely aren't in my 'Favourites' category, I'm not a powdery-sweet fan. Much prefer her newer scent Ame Coquine which is much more subtle and pretty, slightly reminiscent of Baby Doll, without the over-powering sweetness.

i was extremeley disappointed that this is no longer carried at the only store in my state, which happened to be victoria's secret!!!! i am having a difficult time locating the EDP, body lotion, and body creme online, but i search very diligently!! i have so many men under my spell when i wear this. it is really funny what a scent can do to a man!!

  • SERENITY02/19/2007

I bought a bottle of the EDT, and although I LOVE this scent, the EDT seems to disappear within 30 minutes. I mean gone, without a trace of scent left. It's too bad because the scent is beautiful. It's ultra-feminine and sweet without being too girly. If I buy again, which I likely will, it will have to be the EDP for lasting power.

  • BRANDY07/25/2006

Gave it to my sister though. I was so sad! The bottle is sexy and sophisticated like the scent. Flirty floral!

With the image of its linen room, the Perfume spray Chantal Thomass embellishes the women of her more beautiful emanations. True asset of invisible seduction. It charms, envoûte and ensorcèle with bright of modernity and semi-sparkling raspberry of joy. Then it enivre the entire body of a "cosmetic" savour more, cordial and sensual. Obvious desire of femininity... Note head: red fruits, apple of love, raspberry, bilberry juice Note heart: pink, violet, heliotrope Basic note: whitewood, amber crystal, muscs powdered glass dusting

This smells exactly how a princess should smell...simply DELICIOUSLY sweet!! I have had soo many people; friends and often even strangers, comment on this fragrance and wanting to find out what it is! It is absolutely gorgeous. When I wear this fragrance, I feel so feminine and sweet; yet feeling invincible because I know I am going to get my way with people from hypnotising them with this scent. CHANTAL THOMASS should be the ultimate secret weapon of a sexy women who knows how to get her way... ;)

Just from reading the composition of this fragrance I was getting visuals of pies and cakes... LOL I mean opining with Blueberries, Raspberry, Love Apple, Raspberry... what do you get when you read that? And true to it's description this was a gourmand type of a fragrance... Sticky sweet, lick your fingers when your done, type of scent... But there is also some Heliotrope, Red Rose, Black Violet, Orange Blossom, to 'tone it down a bit', ;) --- I think they only make it a even more dramatic and intense, however. And of course the base is mischievously robed in Musks, Amber, Patchouli, Sandalwood. Ohhh and someone remarked that this reminded her of Lolita... I agree.. slightly different but not that different

Chantal Thomass Parfum Extract Spray is best best..... USA don't have it, but you can check in England or Paris. My husband got me one in Paris 2 years ago while on vacation and I still have it is just perfect. His and my favorite. $120.00 but is worth it.

Casually tried this in a perfumery in Luxembourg as us women do and then carried on to the next shop. Did I like it or hate it - it was Potent! 10 minutes later I was back for the biggest bottle on sale and has been my absolute favourite since about 2001. I live in the UK and it is hard to find.

  • J07/17/2005

I did the same, buying EDT by mistake--I've used the EDP of Chantal Thomas before and it is HIGHLY superior, lasts longer and is well worth the price difference. I just adore those "almost edible scents"... I found the EDT's lack-luster performance borderline insulting... ; ) I'll be SURE to watch my "P's and T's" next time I induldge in Ms. Thomas!

  • REESE06/03/2005

Havent heard much of this one, but it turns out to be very good, fruity & fresh. I don't like warm and woody notes, so this is just perfect. Nice bottle too.

  • MODERNFLAPPER05/14/2005

This message is to the person who thinks this smells like Shalimar:This is nothing like Shalimar!it is gorgeous!it has fruit top notes and a warmer somewhat green dry down.I love it and the edp will last all day and night!gorgeous!!

  • LUNA05/04/2005

I just purchased this perfume in the EDT, Could anybody tell me if the EDP is stronger? I really like this but find it somewhat weak, of course being an EDT I thought it would be right for the summer. Just wondering if perhaps the EDP would have been much better. Hoping the EDP would be more complex. Thanks!

  • KRISTIN09/30/2004

I LOVE this scent but I have the EDT and it seems a bit too faint, don't know if it would be better in EDP form or if it is just the nature of this fragrance.

  • TESS09/24/2004

YOU ARE COMPLETELY RIGHT MINNIE- I HAVE BEEN USING LEMPICKNA FOR SOME TIME - BUT RECENTLY FELL HEAD OVER HEELS FOR CHANTAL THOMASS PERFUME & BODY LOTION

  • MINNIE MOUSE09/10/2004

This, in my opinion, is incredibly similiar to lolita lempicka. However, I only tested it out on the card because lolita is not my favorite. Anyways, I smelled licorice and powder and maybe a little patchouli. I can see how others would appreciate it, so I'll rate it good since the smell was soft, round, and pretty feminine.

  • HISAKO02/16/2004

If you like Lolita Lumpika, my spell may be incorrect, you will like this also. Imagine first note of L.L. lasts long and same type of undertone. I like this better as L.L. becomes something too flowerly in the end for me.

  • RITA09/10/2003

I think this fragrance smells a lot like Thierry Mugler's "Angel." Although alot softer. It's like a cross between these three: Lolilta Lempicka, Angel & Molinard's Les Feminines Nirmala. IT's too soft and powdery to smell like Shalimar, although the dry down is quite similar but stronger with Shalimar. I tried Chantal Thomass once, walked around the store and had to get it. Once it wears on your skin it really surprises you as it is quite elegant.

  • CORNELIA07/24/2003

Hai, C.Thomass is different from Shalimar, but (to me) the same category of scents:warm, powdery, amber like. Of course this is all personal. Thomass has a bit of anise, which Shalimar has not. To me also Shalimar is too overwhelming, where this one is not. Try it!

  • SPOTTEDHAWK06/07/2003

Hello, I see a post about this smelling like the old shalimar. Is it similar? To me, although Shalimar is beautiful, for me, it is a bit too powdery on my skin. I gave mine to my mother and it smells beautiful on her. :) But is Chantal Thomas different or simalar to shalimar? thankyou

  • ANN WORRELL12/31/2002

Excellent Fragrance. I can't wait to get the body products.

  • JENNI12/23/2002

    Great stuff

  • JENNIFER WERNER12/23/2002

I received it as a sample at a Perfumie in Paris. I simply love it now. I wish I would have bought some there.

  • ANN WORRELL12/01/2002

Very best fragrance I have ever experienced. Purchased my first bottle in San Francisco in Sept. 2002. Excellent.

  • DEE JOH.11/08/2002

Does anyone else have an opinion on this scent? I'm very intrigued, but I'm not a big fan of Shalimar-type fragrances

  • CORNELIA11/02/2002

Absolutely gordious! Something completely different, after all those water-notes. This perfume is like the good old Shalimar: classic, feminine, warm. I love the ambergris notes.
