GUCCI POUR HOMME Original is my favorite, I found it again at "the fragrance factory" I think its the best for men. thank you

  • JAKE05/24/2010

I really liked the Original Old Gucci Pour Homme, After looking for a long time I found some at "the fragrance factory" thank you

  • JUDI W*05/15/2010

I have always loved this scent. I bought it for my son, and he loved it. Haven't bought any in about a year, so I decided to, and oh, my gosh, they seemed to replace the natural oils with chemicals. He puts it on outside my house, because I get literally sick from it. It's SO strong, but not in a good way at all. It smells similar in the dry down, but until then, it could knock you unconscious. The perfume companies, are ruining their classic scents!!

  • BARBARA W06/12/2009

A true masculine scent in the "old school" tradition, this is a fragrance that will probably only be appreciated by those who appreciate a classic structure. Very well done!

  • JUDI W*11/09/2008

I wanted to change my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. My son has bought quite a few different colognes in the past year, and this one is the very best! He has Valentino V. (good) Lolita Lempicka Masculin (different) Michael for Men (not bad) Armani Emporio (used to like, but not as much anymore, but nice) Gucci, is so far my favorite. Love the incense smell it has, very masculine, but not typical. He gets ALOT of compliments from men & women.

  • BARBARA W07/13/2008

Hi - in response to your question about a ginger scent, Bvlgari Blv pour homme has lots of ginger. They make an "absolute" and "notte" version of it, too, which are all slightly different. Also, Jo Malone makes a very nice unisex fragrance called Nutmeg & Ginger. Notes are: nutmeg, ginger, sandalwood and cedar. Good luck!

  • BARBARA W07/13/2008

Fabulously sexy! Has a depth and richness that I love. Classic and masculine. Love it.

  • BARBARA W04/20/2008

If you're looking for a ginger note, Bvlgari Blv pour homme has it in spades!

  • PIERRE12/16/2007

wow. i smelled this and fell in love with this. smells like christmas eve at church, when they burn that smokey stuff.

  • JUDI W*08/05/2007

I bought this for my son who is 22, and at first he sort of liked it, now he wears it often. As soon as he puts it on, the aroma is intense & beautiful. I love it, and find it very sexy. He says he gets compliments on it, no doubt. It's manly & smells incensy, just the way I like it. I don't like fruity or flowery scents on men too much.

  • ALFIE06/25/2007

This fragrance is almost the same as Rush but compared with Gucci pour homme, rush is fresher. This fragrance is so masculine, luxurious, and so Gucci!!! I prefer this one than Gucci pour Homme II.

  • JUDE C05/10/2007

Not really worth the price. It is good, but not all that interesting of a scent. Mambo is better and way cheaper. Gucci is nowhere near, Third Man, Ungaro III, Antaeus, Joop, and some of the bigger names out there. This stuff is like Trussardi for me. Very high quality and nothing to complain about, just not all that passionate about it. It is ok, but I would never buy again. Not top shelf like the others I mentioned. But not too bad either. Kinda boring if u ask me.

  • JOE12/29/2006

YOUR FRIEND WAS DEFINATELY WRONG IN STATING THAT GUCCI SMELLS LIKE BODY ODOR. AS A MATTER OF FACT, IT IS A VERY PUNGENT AND CLASSICAL FRAGRANCE, REMINSENCE OF INCENSE AND A HEAVY SCENT THAT WILL STATE THAT WE ARE MEN AND THAT WE CAN WEAR A FULL BODIED FRAGANCE WITH EASE.

  • GREENTEA12/17/2006

Best cologne of the 00's so far. Finnaly a good classy style of cologne that's been lacking after the overuse of clean and lavender scents from the 90's into this decade comes something that resembles from the 80's that actully packs a punch and is luxurious. I really liked the last 2 this company made and this one is the best yet. Very dark and woody, seductive, powerful and addictive. Longevity is fantastic. No weak watered down colonge here, this one lasts a long, long time till the next day. Doing this without a flat drydown, and creates a steady scent for hours. I can't even express really how good this stuff is as it's been a long, long time since I've tried all these new colognes out and I either didn't like the smell or didn't like it cause it didn't last. This one smells terrific and lasts.

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD12/04/2006

Im not sure if Im crazy about this one, but I love the ginger. Give me more! What else has a strong ginger note?

  • EUROSTAR12/03/2006

I have this for formal occasions and armani mania for casual. This one always attracts the ladies.

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD11/27/2006

I love the ginger in this. Can anyone tell me of another fragrance with a strong ginger note in it?

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD11/21/2006

Recently, this is probably the one fragrance I have been wanting to sample the most. Unexpectedly, I ran across a 1.0 oz travel size at Marshals. Here goes... People always seem to think a particular fragrance smells like pine sol, fabric softener or in this case pencil shavings. More so than others, in this case I agree. Thats not necessarily a bad thing. I really, really wanted to like this one and I still do. I smell the ginger, which Ive recently discovered is a favorable note for me. There is a subtle sweetness to me. Not too sweet. I dont get tons of incense as in a Catholic mass as others have suggested. Incense is not a note I look for. There is something very different about this one. Maybe I just dont get it yet. I definitely will have to do more testing.

  • MIRANDA10/26/2006

One day, walking thru a shopping mall, something was telling me to stop here. I smelled this perfume and I did not hesitate to buy it. My man has been wearing it since. When we go out, women of all ages ask him what kind of perfume he's wearing.... I believe that you have to be unique in what you are wearing, it either suites you or it doesn't, so follow your instinct and not that what women like to smell in general. I'm a woman, I know. Love, Mir

  • JAKE09/10/2006

This one is really up to the individual. I've had comments from either end of spectrum and really nothing in between. "Amazing" and "sickening" both come to mind. I've made the mistake of wearing it to the office and (on me) it's just too serious for such a casual setting. I'm not really sure where to wear it. Moral of the story: try before you buy.

  • EXPERT09/09/2006

I really liked Envy despite the overbearing of cedar in it. I think this homme version is the peak of Gucci's colonges. They have created a masterpiece. Very lively, complex wood scent. Perfect balanced scent that is addicting to smell. The longevity of this colonge? Lasts hours and hours on me. In fact I sprayed some on my hand last night and the next morning I can still smell it. Very attractive scent and cool looking bottle. I just got the mini of this cause of all the reviews on this. Definitly going to buy a bottle of this stuff.

  • COLOGNE_CRAZY09/08/2006

    1) Only for older men 2) Decayed leaves and flowers 3) Gucci trying hard to be different gets it all wrong 4) Do not buy if you are * below 50 * trying to attract women * dont want a cologne that hits everyone in the face.

  • ROB H.09/03/2006

Also to preserve longevity, ensure that the caps are on all of the colognes you use. Once you've pumped any "spray" colognes, that's when they slowly start going bad so keep the caps (if they're the type that can be capped) as much as possible. Take care

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR09/02/2006

People say they last 3-5 years because that is what we all heard before, not sure there is a reliable source and scientific method to prove this. But i can only judge things based on my own experience. You said you had a fragrance for 10 years and it hasn't changed. Well i'm with you on that, in my large collection, i have over at least 20 that are over 7 or 8 years old, and none of them has changed much, not even the colors of the liquid. I guess on the end, it all goes down to how you store them, i always keep mine in cool dark places, away from sunlight and heat, and i also have all the original boxes, so when i use one i put it back into its original box. So i think the method you store your fragrances definitely plays a crucial role. As long as you take care of them like treasures i'm sure they will last you enough time to enjoy.

  • FARNO08/26/2006

I have heared that perfumes have a shelf life of about 3 to 5 years and from what I understand you have an extensive collection. aren't you concerned about that since you don't get to use them completely before they go bad, or you think that is just a myth. I have a small collection and some of my colognes are as old as 10 years, and I don't see a change, but that could be just me. Please let me know if you have any information about that, I want to add a few more to my collection and I want to be sure. Thanks.

  • PAOLO08/25/2006

I just bought a bottle a while ago, and i am very satisfied so far... I used envy before this, and gph smells somewhat spicier yet a bit lighter. I mean It may be more versatile to wear compared to envy. I think envy is an exceptional fragrance (I miss mine badly) but IMHO is best suited either during evenings or in cooler days. I agree with other posts. Gph's scent reminds me of rich leather with good quality incense at the top. Definitely luxurious. Now, comparing this to M7, I think i prefer this one because it smells like nature (incense and leather) while the M7 smelled like alcohol and leather on my skin when i tested it.

  • SEAN08/15/2006

This is, by far, one of my all-time favorite colognes. It is unlike anything else currently on the market, and not many people where it or know about it... which is great -- it means I don't smell like every other guy in my office. The "white pepper" is most noticable when you first spray it on. It's a little bit odd, and it might be the thing that vaguely reminds some people of sweat... but honestly, this cologne does *not* smell like sweat or B.O., and the white pepper note quickly goes away as the cologne dries. What's left is a very warm, seductive, masculine-yet-sensitive, worldly, almost magical smell. Also, I would agree that this is more of a fall/winter cologne than a spring/summer cologne -- but I find it very difficult to resist the urge to wear it every day of the year!

  • CHRISTOBELLE08/05/2006

I was reading comments on this, because I love Gucci Pour Homme, and wood scents that dont smell like everything else out there and saw your comments about M7. I tried it and love it. Perhaps more wearable than Gucci, which is a definite winter time one. thanks for the tip!! My man already wears Gucci and Lui by Rocha, which is another wood, altogether different scent. But he doesnt know yet that I just got him some M7.....yummm

  • JULIAN C. STRATUSON06/23/2006

This unique spicy/very woody hit from Gucci is just as equally good as RL's Romances and Basi Homme. A more positive note is that this stuff doesn't seem to be worn by hardly anyone out there which is a good thing anyways.

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR06/15/2006

Chris, i dont blame you that you want to get noticed since you are a DJ, it must be awesome to be a DJ, you must be quite popular i'd bet, so when you do your thing in parties and clubs, you wanna make sure the ladies not only get your beats, but your smell of seduction as well, i'm sure it makes a DJ that much more appealing. Now, unlike Rob H, i am not much of a fan of Vera Wang, citrus start with tobacco finish, there are much better such fragrances. But it certainly is classy, understated elegance. Even if you dont smell it, it doesn't mean other people cant. The Gucci PH is a classy fragrance as well, i dont think i've gotten too many compliments on this one, mostly mature women commented on it, it's a bit of an acquired taste. The Hanae Mori you can buy on various websties, even on emporium, the EDP is much better, a lot more richer and woodier than the EDT. If you live in a big city, you might find stores that carry it. The D&G By is no doubt a very good fragrance, but it's often a bit too sweet on me, and has a strong perfumey quality to it, not my style at all, i prefer the original DG PH, however, both are killer club frags. The Burberry Brit is definitely very long lasting, Armani Code is very similar in nature, where the Code has loads of tonka, the Brit has loads of Vanilla, both are quite popular with the ladies regardless of age, Brit is also one of my most complimented fragrances, but it's more suitable in cooler weather as it can get quite cloying. Now, the Creed fragrances are definitely something, it is a niche fragrance house, departure from a designer. Their fragrances have much natural ingredients rather than synthetics. There are many good Creeds which get you noticed, notably the GIT, MI, Himalaya and SMW, the 4 popular ones. You can get them for fairly cheap at some websites, you have to search for them, and again, if you live in a big city, some stores might carry this line, like Neimans or whatever. And since you said you like top of the line fragrances, Creed is a good place to start for a niche, there are many other niche fragrance houses that have unique and outrageous creations. Lastly, the Romance Silver lasts very decent on me, about 3 to 4 hours, again this is one that really gets attention from all the ladies, if that's what you're after, then it's a sure bet. I hope these answered your questions somewhat, and i'd be glad to answer any other questions anytime. Best!

  • CHRIS06/13/2006

What do you think about romance silver dus it last long? do you get alot of compulment?

  • CHRIS06/13/2006

Message to Cologne Collector Hello Cologne collector I’m very grateful for that lists Thank You. But I have one question, what do you think about Vera Wang pore home? I just received it in the mail yesterday, but there is one problem, it doesn't seem to last very long on me. I don’t know if it is me or I’m just looking for too much from cologne. I like very top class colognes, but for some reason I just can’t fine my segnecha. But I read a lot of your reviews on different colognes and they seem to be very good I only look at some people's reviews like yours and also any reviews from Rob H. I don’t know what is wrong with some of these people that post reviews on this website. Some time you might find a nice perfume, that you like, but looking at their reviews, would turn you off. That was the problem I had with the Gucci PH. With the Gucci PH, dose it take along time for you to be noticed by the ladies? And also can you still get Hanae Mori to buy? What do you think about BY from dolce & gabbana? Is Burberry brit long lasting? I noticed that the creed line of colognes are very expensive, is it worth buying? I know this is a lot of questions, but I’m a DJ, and wherever I go to play, I like to be noticed. Thanks Hope to Here from you soon.

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR06/11/2006

M7 is one of my personal favorites, and one in my top 3 of all time. But, that doesn't mean everybody else likes it, and you might not even like it. I mean, taste is a very subjective matter. And because of that, it is often hard to tell which ones the ladies like the best because different people like different things. Tell you the truth, i get compliments on most fragrances i wear as long as i dont overdo it, subtlety is the key when wearing cologne, it is absolutely the most important factor. I am just like you, i have a massive collection, so it is almost impossible to tell which ones are best to attract the ladies, i mean i wear pretty much a different scent everyday. But i can make you a list of what were universally liked by the ladies, from what i can remember: Armani Night He, Geir, Yang by Jacques Fath, Body Kouros, Romance Silver, Hanae Mori EDP, Rochas Man, Creed Millesime Imperial, Dior Bois d'Argent(exlusive), Cuiron by Helmut Lang, Passage d'Enfer by L'Artisan parfumer, Bvlgari PH, Mat Male, Terre d'Hermes by Hermes, Pi, Burberry Brit, Boss #6, Bigarade Concentree by Frederic Malle, Cartier Declaration.........These are some of the ones i can remember, i tried not to name any popular ones like Acqua Di Gio, Cool Water, D&G PH, Le Male or Polo Blue, while those get attentions, they are just overly worn these days by the masses, so they certainly make you smell good, but they dont make you unique. The last thing we need to do when picking up ladies is to remind them of their previous boyfriends or anyone else for that matter, you gotta be different in your own ways, you gotta create a sense of mystery around yourself, and this is the same with colognes. Thus, something that smells good and is also unique is the best thing to wear, i named lots of them above. Hope those are helpful, and shoot with any further questions. All the best my friend.

  • CHRIS06/10/2006

Thanks a lot. Know I will where this fragrance a lot more. 1 more question, is M 7 a lot better than Gucci pore home? I have about 75, bottles of cologne, but when some of them runs out, I will not by any more. So my question to you, what is the Bess men’s cologne that will get all the ladies attention? I will be very grate full. Thanks in advance, and I hope to here from you soon.

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR06/07/2006

Now, on the topic of Tom Ford, the man sure knows how to make his talents shine. He has a unique style, a style that brings the classic and the modern together, the end result is totally stunning, thus this unique style might not be accepted by everyone in this world. This sense of style is clearly present in his creations such as M7, Rive Gauche and Gucci Pour Homme. All three fragrances are not for the faint of heart, they are not something typical to aim to persuade youngsters. They are rather gems to catch the attentions of serious scentophiles and collectors. These are simply genius creations. Not only do they represent uniquess in design and quality, but they also carry with them the trail of mystery and seduction. Of course, i absolutely love Gucci Pour Homme, but M7 is just simply unbeatable, it is the epitome of class, originality and seduction. GPH and Rive Gauche are not far behind, but M7 just set the bar so high it is almost impossible to overcome.

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR06/07/2006

Though this fragrance does not smell like body odor, i can see where Andy is drawing this comparison from. Sometimes the woodiness of this fragrance becomes really intense, so it might give off a weird wood shaving sort of smell which has some resemblence of body odor, that pepper and wood might give such an impression. Overall though, i get strictly positive comments on this fragrance, i've never heard anyone tell me that i smell like BO. The impression is there, but just not loud enough to make a difference.

  • CHRIS05/28/2006

To any body out there I like the reviews on this nice cologne, but I got turnoff when Andy said that it smell like body Odor. I would like to try this cologne, but I would like if some body could let me know if that is true. I would be very grate full if some body could respond to this message ass soon as possible Thank You in advance.

  • TONY T05/05/2006

masculine vs. wussy. kobe vs. radja. really their is no comparison. gucci is spicy to deaf and m7 is as sweet as a 77 year old church going widow. gucci is arid and sharp in a good way. i do smell incense as previously mentioned but combined with rare spices, leather and the other great notes make gucci a keeper. over 30 scent (i'm 26) but gotta 1.7 oz bottle for 10 bucks so i could not pass that up.over 50 bottles of juice now and i think i will stop.

  • SPACE PILGRIM04/11/2006

............another great spicy & woody hit that's not all that commonly worn and a great alternative to RL's Romance hits.

  • X.G.02/17/2006

Very original and very sexy spicy/woody aroma is truly Gucci's best for men and seems to be a bit of a sleeper out there, not that I'm complaining.

  • THE SQUIRE02/17/2006

Probably not what you'd expect from a mainstream brand like Gucci. Some love it. Some hate it. Very woody, very sharp, certain thousand-pound anvils are less heavy than this one. You're def. gonna need to smell it for yourself to decide. Personally I love this one

  • MAIRE01/29/2006

I actually bought this for myself and wear it in the winter sometimes (even though its for men). I love it, very warm, spicey, pipe smoke, fireplace, I dont know what. It is a masculine scent but something about it...mmmmm!

  • ALFIE01/05/2006

This fragrance is really spicey. But I think the scenti s almost similar to GUCCI Rush. Isn't it? Anyway this fragrance is really suitable for evening occasion. Really elegant

  • RN12/09/2005

Really nice fragrance, reminds me of Azzaro Visit. Probably the best Gucci fragrance ou there.

  • ONG-BAK11/07/2005

Finally sampled and was impressed by its spicy, woody and leathery notes. This is definite competition against RL's Romances and Armand Basi's fragrances.

  • NATE10/26/2005

One of the most unique and original men's colognes ever. When I wear it, it makes me want to sit by a cozy fire and sip Manhattans.

  • ADRIAN10/10/2005

I LOVE this cologne. It smells so warm, sexy, inviting, and unique. I get compliments from women AND men when I wear it.

  • ANNE10/04/2005

This smells sooo good! It smells manly, different. The kind of smell that makes a girl want to snuzzle a guys neck.

  • GEORGE KOUREAS09/28/2005

This is a wonderful, vibrant, incredibly beautiful fragrance.I really didn't expect such a nice fragrance from Gucci. A successful combination of woody and pepper notes makes it really good. Probably the best of Gucci. Definitely a classic.

  • GEORGE KOUREAS09/22/2005

This is a wonderful, vibrant, incredibly beautiful fragrance.I really didn't expect such a nice fragrance from Gucci. A successful combination of woody and pepper notes makes it really good. Probably the best of Gucci. Definitely a classic.

  • R.J.09/21/2005

I REALLY LIKE THIS. IT TOOK A GOOD WHILE TO APPRECIATE IT UNTIL THE DRYDOWN. IT TRULY CLOSED THE DEAL WITH ME, SO IT'S A STAPLE IN MY VAST COLLECTION. KEEP IT UP, MR. FORD.

  • ERIC07/14/2005

So many have commented about the Incense they smell in this frangrance as if evoking memories of Catholic or Lutheran church. I was raised Lutheran and remember the Pastor coming down the aisle swinging the frankincense and myrrh and that familiarity makes me feel at ease and it's comforting. It's not an exact smell but it conjures up good feelings. It makes me think of Constanipole or some other such place and I love that it has the ability to make me feel this way. Bravo Gucci!!!

  • MIKE FROM MANHATTAN04/13/2005

This fantastic fragrance smells like the incense at the Traditional Latin Mass I attend each Sunday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in midtown Manhattan! I can only describe it as a classy gentleman's fragrance.

  • SANTANGELO03/27/2005

I might have to get this. I find myself wearing Gucci Envy more and more, and am looking for another great one. Givenchy makes good ones also.

  • RAMON03/20/2005

It smells very mature and really commands attention when I walk into a room. Classy woman love it.

  • ALLI03/10/2005

I give compliments to a man who wear this perfume. It just smells so incredibly good on men. The best ever!

  • NYCGUY02/25/2005

I feel this new fragrance is dense, ultra-masculine, smoldering, intense, extremely sensual, alluring, and stands out from other scents in a refined way without at all being ostentatious.

  • CHRISTOBELLE02/20/2005

your comments made me smile! I love this scent, was trying it on my husband, but think I will get it for me actually, its soo unusual. I first thought it smelt like pipe tobacco - I am living in Ireland now and asked a few people, my husband included what they thought it smelt like and they all said "the incense in church". Catholic church of course! Although most of them seemed to like it. Very rich and exotic smell to me (not being catholic).

  • CUTEGLADIATOR01/06/2005

actually both fragances were designed by Tom Ford.. so they have the same base.. but both are terrific...not like armani fragances that are to common ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • GIULIA12/20/2004

So sexy! Makes me think of nights curled up in front of a fire filled with pine boughs. Soooo sexy, makes me want to bury my face in my mans neck all nite.

  • CHUCK11/29/2004

This is the absolute best fragrance I have ever owned. I have tried virtually hundreds of scents through the years, and this is the one that simply fit me. The fragrance reminds me of late winter evenings in Santa Fe. I smell hints of burning mesquite and piñon, amber, pepper, ginger and more. A very masculine, refined fragrance that lasts and should be used sparingly.

  • SIN A+COS B11/21/2004

I have many perfumes, but this is....something that you can relly call a perfume.I'm adicted to it!!!!

  • LANNY11/18/2004

Is it possible to make Gucci's original "Pour Homme" again. It was the most perfect scent for men.

  • SAMY11/12/2004

this is the best fragrance i have ever tried.. i can still smell it, after bath..worth the money

  • RUSSELL10/25/2004

As others have commented, there is a burst of incense about "Homme," but all it brings to mind are memories of priest, altars, and Sunday mornings. My wife and daughters have a similar negative reaction and so I'm not going to be using it. Sorry.

  • NICK L10/22/2004

This is a lovely fragrance. I reminded me of M7 as well, only less sweet, more woodsy. I had M7 but I gave it to a friend because I felt it didn't smell masculine enough for my taste. But this is very masculine. It also kind of reminds me of Fahrenheit in as much as they are both woodsy and remind me of a camp fire.

  • OMAR10/18/2004

this is a fantastic scent. I switch between Marc Jacobs, Polo Blue and this to mix it up a bit. The girls love this one.

  • ALEX THE MAN09/12/2004

Very nice, classy, woody, cologne. Almost formal in a way. This cologne attracts ladies, mature ladies, not kids and teenagers. Wear this cologne during rainy days/night, cold weather and you will stand out in the crowd with class and elegance. Wear this cologne at the right time and right place and u will be 'The Man'. Trust me. A must have in any collection for wet, cold, rainy days/nights.

  • THIERRY B08/16/2004

One of the best new fragrance for men. Very original made of wood and spices. We can see by this frangrance that Tom Ford knows how to recognise what's best. To compare with M7, this last one smell like chemicals when Gucci smells like nature.

  • J.P.08/13/2004

    I've tried many fragrances Gucci-wise and I must say,they're absolutely the best. Wait a minute,is that wood I'm smelling? Oh,i forgot,it's Gucci.........and me!!

  • TONI RONKONEN07/22/2004

So much wood in here!! Isnt there?! Dry, smoky wood, and perhaps a fine, soft leather bottom...So it is very masculine, and also sensual. And I do like that bottle, although its maybe a little bit too festive. Quite fantastic overall, I must say.

  • STUART07/20/2004

Nothing like M7 or anything else. Smells like incense and exotic spices. Wonderful innovative fragrance.

  • JULIAN COLEMAN07/16/2004

I LOVED THE OLD GUCCI POUR HOMME, I ONLY WISH THAT SOMEONE DECIDES TO RE MARKET IT

  • DAVE07/16/2004

Too thick and strong for me - just like M7

  • MR. POUR HOMME07/10/2004

Spray this on and it's like you just walked into a room full of incense and rich, exotic spices. After a few minutes the incense note becomes more subtle but the aroma of pipe tobacco and warm spices remain rich for hours. This is a luxurious treat for the nose.

  • RYAN07/08/2004

Just got this the other day because of what i read here. great cologne! it's a very unique scent that might not be for everyone. it kind of reminds me of a camp fire smell which makes for a very nice evening scent.

  • W.B.06/28/2004

I LIKE THIS OUT OF THE ORDINARY SCENT. IT TRULY IS A THROWBACK TO THE 70'S AND 80'S. IN A WAY, IT REMINDS ME OF AN UNSWEETENED VERSION OF CACHAREL. OTHERWISE, IT'S ANOTHER WINNER BY GUCCI.

  • TOM06/24/2004

Tom Ford has nailed it on the head. This is perfection in a bottle.I am a huge fan of Gucci Rush but this takes it to another level!

  • JAVIER06/02/2004

I own both Gucci pour homme and Envy, and most days i can't decide which one to wear, they're both soo good!! Both are very masculine and smell awesome, from top notes to the incredible dry-down. Too bad i had to waste my money on lesser scents before discovering this dynamic duo, the only other one in my collection that comes close to the greatness of these two is ralph lauren romance silver.

  • DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU05/12/2004

Now that I own both Gucci Pour Homme and M7, I think that Gucci is a tad more versatile. I definetely get the M7 comparisons at the beginning, but where M7 is heady and projects quite a lot, Gucci is more subtile. I think I could pull off wearing it to work, but I wouldn't be able to do the same with M7. M7 seems best reserved for romantic occasions and cooler weather.

  • SKIPPY05/04/2004

hahaha...I know I've smelled this before. It smells like my friend from high school's house. His father was a pipe smoker and they also used the fireplace. Would be ok for winter. It might be a good one to try for experimental purposes as well. Like the description say's, not like your citrusy, fresh smells. I'll give it a good rating for originality.

  • MAURICIO05/01/2004

At first, this cologne is too strong but the base note is just incredible woody, elegant and long lasting. Like envy this is an elegant and sensual fragance, not for the tommy and ck lovers

  • ALEXANDER04/30/2004

This cologne is unlike anything I'd ever tried. I was really surprised with its burst of complex spices at the first time. Those who are used to sporty, citrusy, and light fragrances will definitely have a hard time to get used to this intense and warm scent. This is a distinct class cologne. Lots of characters and really stand out.

  • ERIC03/19/2004

This girl at my job keeps going on and on about how good I smell until she's getting on my nerves.

  • ERIC03/18/2004

Fragrance couldn't get any better than this. There are things I think that are on par, but it is as unique as it is beautiful to smell.

  • STUART03/18/2004

Is a superior fragrance. It makes me think of far off middle eastern bazaars full of rich, sexy spices. Can't get enough and couldn't care any less what anyone with any negative comments about it thinks in the least. They don't matter at all.

  • BRAD MEDLING03/16/2004

Is unique on the start with the smell of burnt wood in a camp fire. The drydown is in the vein of aramis.

  • BADBOY_PLAYA03/15/2004

This is an absolutely fantastic frangrance that gets you noticed. Perfect for evening wear, the responses are great. People don't normally comment on another perfume during a formal event, but not with this, people DO notice it and they DO compliment you on. Great stuff.

  • RAY02/04/2004

Years ago, Gucci's original "Pour Homme" was the most perfect scent for men. They stopped making it and I spend a lot of time tracking it down. Now they've made this new, really nasty fragrance and called it "Pour Homme." The original was wonderful, but THIS stinks! Now I'll never find the old stuff!

  • JSP02/04/2004

This is a great frangrance. Those who think that it smells like body odor should shower before wearing it.

  • ASCHKAEL01/31/2004

Can't go wrong with Gucci...Nobile and especially Envy are also very very good fragrances. This is an extraordinary scent...nothing like those generic unisex or sweet borderline feminine fragrances. This is a very strong and masculine scent. Reminds me of YSL M7, only less sweet.

  • GED01/29/2004

The most intersting and unique fragrance to come out in a long time. You will either love it or hate it, i am glad that i fall into the love it bracket. All the time i wear it it makes me feel warm and alive!

  • EDGAR01/29/2004

this is the most refreshing woodsy smelling, different type of cologne I've smelled in years. I like colognes that dare to be different than all the copycats.

  • SAMMY 01/13/2004

Gucci pour homme is a wonderful fragrance, full of character & class.

  • LLL01/05/2004

I have one word to say here: "YUM".

  • NICK01/05/2004

I feel this fragrance is too classy and sophisticated for Francesco to appreciate. He should go back to using his Swiss Army and Polo Sport stuff !!

  • MINDY12/26/2003

It's so different !! It reminds me of brandy and pipe tobacco. Makes you want to snuggle in the neck of the Gucci man !

  • PAT12/22/2003

Wonderful fragrance. Really finest quality. For me No.1 presently. This can be Gucci's way how to change a common man to a phrenetical fragrances-lover:-)) (...I hope you can understand my English...)

  • MGARIS12/20/2003

I absolutely agree with Andy. Although this scent has lots of body, it COULD remind someone of body ODOR. You are right on, Andy. I'd have to think about purchasing this one . . . that finish at the end, makes me wonder. I think there's some cumin in there.

  • FRANCESCO12/18/2003

    Can you wear it?Noooooooooooooooo

  • FRANCESCO12/18/2003

    Simply horrible!!!!!

  • MIKE12/15/2003

Very nice, smells a bit like burnt sunflowers but very masculine. If you're looking for that masculine scent i feel the Yves Saints are best.

  • FRANCESCO12/11/2003

    I can' really stand it!Horrible....

  • PATTY SIMS12/01/2003

this is my favorite cologne i have ever bought. the girls love it. also try versace blue jeans

  • EMAD12/01/2003

Gucci isn't only a brand it realy is quality this fragrance is so great that i don't think there would be a fragrance to compare to it is very classy and speacial, i am a fragrance lover and love to have and wear most best fragrances my wife is someone who often don't like to comment on alot of my frangrances but when i wear GUCCI for the first time i was surprised that she told me what are you wearing its a very good fragrance. i also had same comment from others... it was a fragrance i was searching for, for a long time

  • ANDY11/30/2003

This is a unique fragrance. Reminds me of a burning fire. Some may feel it's way too musky, and smells a little like body oder. This isn't for every one, but I tip my hat to Gucci for making a cologne that doesn't smell like everything else. Its kind of like an ode to Italian men.
