Hello. I am so unhappy that I cannot buy WRAPPINGS perfume by Clinique. Can anyone explain why Clinique stopped making this? I have tried many perfumes and have not found any that appeal to me the way WRAPPINGS did. Thank you.

I have been searching for years to find this ,my favourite perfume. I used to wear it as soon as it came out and alternated between wrappings and elixir aromatics. maybe i am hoping it will give me the confidence i used to have 20 yrs ago? i always felt it was just me! Hope i can get hold of some very soon.

It is the most exquisite perfume I have ever used. Why dont Clinique bring it out with their regular perfumes, or maybe not, so it is just our secret, when we can get it. Its just the best

Wear Clinique's Wrappings and Clinique's Aromatics together at any strength of either. You can wear one heavier that the other and have multiple scents. Careful as you are wearing two perfumes. I have been stopped in the middle of a hallway over the beautiful scent. It is outstanding.

I have been using this perfume for many years , first in South Africa and now in UK, everyone always comments on how lovely I smell, check on ebay to see if any are for sale. You can get this as a box set from Harrods (London). I agree when is Clinqiue going to reproduce this perfume again!!

I wear Aromatics Elixir in the Fall/Winter, and Wrappings in the Spring/Summer. I think Wrappings smells somewhere between a floral and a green scent. And I like that it STAYS with you. I don't understand why Clinique discontinued this fragrance.

THIS A SEXY SMELL WHICH WORKS FOR ME

Several people indicated that this fragrance smells like an old lady. Would you be more specific when stating that a certain fragrance reminds you of an old lady or it smells like an old lady. Mature women wear mature fragrances that are very classy and not too flowery or fruity. This is a very pleasant fragrance to me and they are always selling out of the gift sets around the holidays.

I purchased this around X-mas time 07'. Wanting something that smelled like pine trees I stumbled across this little gem. It's so fresh and has a real zing to it. It almost smells like new makeup or like if Clinique packaging had a scent this is what it would smell like. I love that I don't smell any florals in this at all, maybe a little vanilla or a berry somewhere, but no rose, peony, carnation or any other expected floral that would tag along a scent like this.

I have been waiting so very long for this perfume. I put it on today and two people asked me, "what is that fragrance you have on." Thanks a bunch. I need a larger bottle.

This cologne has the most unique smell. I just love it and each time I go out with it on I have so many compliments on it. I wish they would bring it back for all the time and not just the Holidays.

This is one of the most beautiful, unique fragrances around. I'm relieved that it will continue to be available during the November-January holiday season, because it's got a haunting quality that I would miss deeply if I couldn't purchase it anymore!

I think Wrappings is an unusual androgynous scent. I wore it for the first time last winter and enjoyed it very much. As other people have stated, very green and i think it has a very cold feel to it. I remember wearing this last winter when it was bitterly, freezing cold and it smelled awesome on me!!!!! I'll be doing the same this year too.

Pleeeease... if you love Wrappings like I do and hate the fact that you can only buy tiny little bottles at huge prices, go to clinique.com and mail them to tell them that you'd like them to mainstream it again. Girl power rules!! :)

also meant to say that a major uk broadsheet newspaper (the times, i think) conducted a review of scents/perfumes that men found particularly attractive on women. this was before wrappings was withdrawn from the uk, so was a while ago. the range of men covered young, funky, uber-cool across to sophisticated older men. Guess which perfume won? Yep, wrappings was described as having an alluring, mysterious quality that men found incredibly sexy. we scent lovers know the territority, i.e. same perfume doesn't smell the same on different people etc, and for those of you who have tried wrappings and don't like it, it's great that we are all different (& more importantly all the more wrappings for us gals who love it) I was always advised to spray just above me and 'walk' into the mist, so that scent wouldn't be overpowering (same with aromatics elixer). So for wrappings novices, spraying direct onto skin is bound to smell overpowering. .... as for me, i too would bathe in the stuff, if i 1) had that kind of money 2) could source enough of the stuff......

hello! Here is yet another sophia eager to see 'wrappings' mainstreamed again. I have been known to order 5 christmas gift boxes at a time from selfridges etc, london, to see me through the year. gorgeous, timeless, vibrant.

Clinique Wrappings has been coming out each Christmas season at Hecht's. Now that Macy's has taken over, let's see if the seasonal Wrappings is included in their perfume section.

Could only find Wrappings at Christmas, so I tried Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (NOT their other one!) It was fabulous!! and will be my new constant (though I'll still do the little xmas gift sets of Wrappings)

i read reviews on this product, and decided to buy. I just want to say, I'm one of those sensitive people that find just about any perfume too strong, and annoying. I can't even use dryer sheets! This perfume on the other hand rocks. It's not so light other people can't smell it, and when I wear it, I don't get a headache. It's a clean, kind of sensuous, smell, and it's not grandmotherish at all. I love it.

Wrappings was great bu not available for a long time now. I could'nt believe it was discontinued. BUT: Agent Provocateur is a very good second best. I undestand Agent Provocateur has three perfumes now and their first (naam=brandname) is terrific. It's warm, sensuous and strong. Just like Wrappings was. It's available in Belium where I spent last weekend. Elly

i was a huge fan of wrappings,and very sad to see it go. i am a fragrance manager and i have made a refreshing discovery. new launch by lacoste,TOUCH OF SPRING it has a very familiar smell to wrappings, that green element is very noticeable. i loved it from the first spray it is meant to be a ltd edition, i do hope not, its a lovely refreshing change and so much more grown up than the dreadful touch of pink! so wrapping lovers give it a try, it would be very interesting to see what you all think, personally i love it!!!

I love this perfume SO much. I've worn it for years, and really couldn't believe when they dropped it to "holiday purchase only" status. Sometimes I'm able to find it on eBay. My husband attacks me like a wild animal whenever I wear this fragrance, but I digress..... Two other scents that I know that are herbally, exotic and green (like our beloved Wrappings) are Caleche and Bulgari Eau de The Extreme.

This scent was purchased back in the early 90's, when they made the 1.7oz. bottle. Now they "dangle the carrot" in front of you only around the holiday time at some of the high-end stores. Now it's this tiny .85oz. bottle which, if you really love it will last only....umm...maybe a month? Ha! All I know is that I only have a quarter of this lovely fierce green scent left! I have posted on this before. I did get compliments on this every single time I wore it! Very, Very unsual garden scent with a touch of ocean marine stirred end. I love the juice and I try not using it as much and now it has seem to have gotten a little more concentrated.

I'm not trying to be rude or insult anybody, but I really don't know how this can be worn without burning your sinuses out. It probably smells nice on others, but I couldn't stand it on me. It is very herby & green & harsh. I'm glad others can enjoy it, but...

I never like to criticize a scent, because they are really so subjective. I usually like stronger scents, but this one is too strong. It's so intense, & to me, has a very green smell, maybe that's why I don't like it. I would have to spray one spritz & that's all, or I would chase people away...lol...

I know a certain store (who sponsers the big Thanksgiving Day parade) stocks it for Christmas. So as long as you hoard it and keep it under lock you should be able to make it through! haha

I can't understand why an excellent product that was selling so well was discontinued!!! I'm a perfume "collector", I have many, but this one is at the top of my list!Puzzling! Don't they,at Clinique, like to make profits??

I too am very disappointed that Clinique has stopped offering this fabulous product all year round. And then at Christmas time, only offer a very small size. I want to wear it all the time! Please Clinique, bring back this top shelf perfume. It will sell and sell and sell...(think profits).

I had problems finding it too, but apparently the high end stores still stock it as an exclusive line to them. I got it online, but I think it's instore too if you're in London. Hope that helps!

I was heart-broken when they took WRAPPINGS off the market. I actually called the main Headquarters in NYC and requested that they bring it back! Like other women I have been stopped on the street and in stores by men and asked what the scent was I was wearing. I seldom wear any scents now because I CANNOT find anything that even comes close to WRAPPINGS.

This perfume is the best perfume I have ever worn, it has the most beautiful scent for a woman. I've had men stop me and ask what I was wearing. This product should not have ever been replaced with Happy, which can not compare to Wrappings. Clinique really should bring this prefume into the Department Stores. It's like giving a child candy and then take it away forever. Please bring Wrappings by to us ladies.

Going on a trip the New York recently the only thing I really wanted to buy was Wrappings perfume. I checked with the major stores - Saks, Bloomingdales etc - only to be told that it is only available at Christmas! Why? I think it is a beautiful summer fragance and when it was discontinued I have still been unable to find anything to replace it. Any suggestions? Why on earth was this lovely, unique fragance discontinued?

Clinique is a brand of Estee Lauder Companies inc. Wrappings was introduced in the U.S.A. in 1990. Giftsets of Wrappings are being sold around Christmastime in Harrod's in London, Douglas in Germany (Chain of perfumestores) and Macy's in the United States. The giftsets differ. Sometimes they contain two different products, sometimes three. Every giftset contains perfume. Are the readers of this messageboard able to confirm that these shops sell Wrappings? I hope to find out more soon. I'll keep you posted.

I'm not being rude here, but I just don't get the attraction. It is so potent, and herby and maybe the drydown isn't so bad, but who can wait that long? I smelled this on someone many years ago & she smelled really nice, but when I bought a bottle, I couldn't get passed the initial spray...phew! (It wasn't a matter of chemistry, I couldn't stand it right out of the bottle) I'm not surprised though, I usually don't agree with most of the reviews on this site, but that's okay, I've never really followed the crowd. I do can not understand why clinique took wrappings of the market. I know that you can buy it in the USA at christmas but I went to las vegas in December and they were all sold out. The only place you can buy it in the UK is Harrods in London. No other perfume can match it Margaret

I have started a correspondence with the Clinique company about Wrappings. I am asking them how we (the customers) can convince them to get it sold all year round and why it was discontinued. I will post usefull news or information I get on this board.

I usually love "stronger" scents, but this one was the exception. It was maybe because it smelled too "green" to me. (pine sol smell) I mailed it to my friend, she didn't like it either. I smelled it on some lady years ago, and it smelled really nice on her. So, the story goes...

My mother LOVEs this perfume and every year at Christmas my dad and my sister by her several of the small gift sets Clinique has for sale. They only seem to be at this time of the year and you often have to ask about it. I also think that Clinique has an e-mail list to apply to so that you can be notified when it is available.

how could they! I saw sniffed outby a guy in a crowded pub because of this perfume. That was when i realised what this perfume did for me. Its a wonderful scent. Clinique are crazy to give it up!

I love Wrappings, and I don't think it's possible to get anything else that's VERY close, but Robert Piguet's Bandit and Creed's Irisia both share some of the same bracing notes that Wrappings has. Bandit actualy reminded me of Wrappings when I first smelled it; it's a much older scent than Wrappings. I believe Bandit was created in the 30's. Try it! Just a suggestion.

It's my favorite of all time. I suspect the reason Clinique discontinued is that it turned out to be a bit unstable, which propably caused problems over time... The thing is, there really is nothing else like it--and there are obviously a bunch of wreal wrappings fanatics out here!

This is one of my all-time favorites ... it is one of the most unique and inspiring fragrances I have ever worn. A little goes a long way and even the body smoother smells fantastic! This is truly a heavenly scent ... :)

I'd wear this scent only if I wore a huge sweater, a jacket, and a scarf so nobody would have to smell this perfume. Maybe that's why they call it wrappings...

It seems totally bizarre that a cosmetic company should remove its only asset from the market. "Wrappijngs" was the only perfume I ever wore and each time I wore it, I felt relaxed, confident and good about life. That is the sort of effect it had. When I discovered they removed it from the market I was total dumbfounded - What on earth for? Clinique - I really feel you should seriously rethink your strategy on this one. Bring "Wrappings" back to us - we need it!!!

I hate that they discontinued it except at Christmas and if you don't get there before everyone that likes it buys it all up.. then you miss out.. I lucked up last year and bought it online. It is ashamed that I have to limited my daily use of it. I get many compliments on this fragrance and it is one that does not give me allergy headaches from wearing it.. Someone told me it was designed for the owners wife so they limit the product.. that is so selfish.. when you have a good thing I think it should be shared...

This is an awesome perfume that smells best when used sparingly. Just one spray or two is plenty. I always get compliments when I wear it. You just can't bathe in it.

I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, looking for this fragrance and finally I found it here. I am so happy, there is only one product. It costs EUR 50, but fine, acceptable. I cannot understadn why clinique stopped producing this fragrance...the best in the world.

Why have Clinique discontinued this wonderful perfume? Unlike Aromatics Elixir (which I also love) its suitable for daywear. I find their new perfumes as just as nondescript as most of the other fragrances on the market. Wrappings was a genuinely orignal product, lets have it back!

Wrappings is unique but I have to say that I like Aromatics Elixer better. Both have somewhat similar notes, but Wrappings is definitely more "woody" and herbal smelling.

A very "green" sort of scent. Quite unusual-like nothing at all I own. But I love unusual scents. It smells like Pine, or green grass. Will extend my scent collection to a new realm!

If "green rain" had a scent - this would be it. Very fresh. Although a bit strong at first, it's beautiful when it fades a bit. It has a long lasting quality.

where did it go? I came here to get some after mine ran out, and you don't have any! It is my favorite perfume of all time, and it is really irritating that Clinique plays whatever its game is with it! If you want a perfume that smells sweet and like all the others, this is not for you. Unique. almost androgenous. green, fresh, I agree, something like balsam- not sweet, not floral and ultrafemine. Buy the set off the clinique site from october until they run out in Jan or Feb.

I first smelled this fragrance in an airport. Some woman had this on and it smelled beautiful, but I wasn't comfortable with it on me. This was about 10 yrs ago. I just bought another bottle and to me it smells different than it did but maybe I've just changed. It is very potent and different but again on me, still not impressed but on someone else maybe. Smells very green and herbal with a hint of spice.

i use wrapping and would like to use it year round but i am not able to get enough at christmas to last the year long. please consider producing it all year

How could anybody give this a 4-star rating. On a scale of 1 to 5, it's clearly a 10! I bought this wonderfully different fragrance when it was introduced. I only have a little left. There was and has been no scent like it ever. Why is Clinique so STUPID to dis-continue it? Why can't all of us start a petition to Clinique to get them to re-instate this exquisite scent. I bought this fragrance over ten years ago because, I was waiting in a airport for my flight, and this scent filled my senses like I've never smelt before. I actually "sniffed" about thirty people sitting there (discreetly of course) until I came upon the woman who was wearing it. She told me the name and I bought it. I LOVED it on her but it wasn't doing a thing on me. I just bought another bottle to see how I felt ten years later, and it still doesn't do anything for me but to bring back the memory. Chemistry and time can change one's opinion but I can't say it isn't a nice fragrance... so I won't. Try it and see how you feel, everyone is different!!

I just bought the gift set in this scent--soap, cologne and body lotion. I love that it is unique, and woodsy smelling, not fruity or vanilla or musky like most perfumes out there. I don't know all the notes, but I detect something that is a little bit like balsam. The cologne doesn't last on me. It's hard to describe what this scent is like, I detect the influence of Estee Lauder's Aliage. It also vaguely echoes Irish Spring deoderant soap, I have to say. More sophisticated to be sure. If you want something unique, not sweet, this fits the bill. I've samples a lot of products out there lately and this is in a class of its own. I have found it very "wearable" in that you don't every feel like it is overpowering but it also doesn't fade right out. Still, I wish the cologne lasted longer on me. The body lotion also is very nice on your skin, and the soap is great too

I love Wrappings and I wish Clinique made it available all year long. I don't want to wait for the holidays to replenish my stock.

A second or two after sprayed, smelled lovely. Then it smells too strong something with green tone, which last over 30min. or so. The dry down smelled little resemble to Dior's premeijour or whatever. It is not so excited scent but very wearble -and last long time. As for me, the scent was different from what I was thinking...it would be nice if it has little more sweeter something. I like my Aimez moi by Caron better.

Wrappings, has always run head and head with Aromatics Elixir, as my two favorite fragrances. As a chemically sensitive individual, neither of these fragrances has ever caused me any type of distress. On the contrary, the results of my wearing both of them has stimulated both men and women alike to inquire as to what delightful fragrance I had on. I am greatly dismayed that finding and acquiring Wrappings, particularly the Body Smoother, has become so very difficult. I suggest that Clinique rename and repackage the same recipe, and remarket Wrappings to a new, more select group.

This was the best perfume I've ever used - Clinique must be crazy to have discontinued it - I don't get complimented on perfume anymore since I've had to start wearing other kinds

I love this fragrance. It is so crisp and refreshing! In the age of copycat, smell-alike perfumes (same scent, different bottle), it's nice to wear something so unique. There is NOTHING out there like it. Clinique needs to get on the ball and make Wrappings available year round.

A subtle version of Aromatics Elixer which I do not like, this one is lighter and fresher.

Wrappings is so unique! I do not want to smell like every other Freesia scented woman around. If I smell another "Happy"-like scent I'll gag. I too, always get compliments with my favorite everyday Wrappings. It's the best! Maybe we should all write to Clinique at once, anyone suggest a date?

Another Clinique unsual scent. I purchased this some years ago. Still get compliments on this one. Very different as to its marine-like scent. It is not your run of the mill perfume. And boy does it stay on you!

you can still get it during the holiday period, from october through Christmas from the Clinique site and some other places. I buy the giftset and put the unwrapped soap in my lingerie drawer. It lightly sents my lingerie wonderfully. I agree this scent is fabulous and truly unique. Fresh, woodsy, marine... I don't know what. Aromatics smells nothing like this fragrance and smells absolutely horrible to me -but Wrappings never has that old smell. One of my all time favorite scents. I can't understand the popularity of Aromatics nor the discontinuance of Wrappings.

I am thrilled to find Wrappings Perfume SOMEWHERE! One day, the box factory opened their doors for some air. A newly-rained forest breeze, reminiscent of the mountains in Colorado lingered by me all day long. I finally realized it was Wrappings! A truly unique & signature scent - Layer with the shower gel, body smoother, & one drop of Wrappings Perfume will do you!

I have not found anything to replace wrappings. I used the body lotion.

I love Wrappings. It smells nice and fresh and unlike anything else I've tried. When I wear it I smell yummy all day!

I love Wrappings. It's absolutely intoxicating! It's a crisp, citrusy, herbal scent that lasts all day. Every time wear it get compliments. I don't know why Clinique only sells it at Christmas. I buy the Christmas giftset every year. I would love to be able to wear it every day. But I'm afraid that i'll run out before it's available again! Wrappings lovers should all petition Clinique to sell it year round.

Wrappings is my addiction ! I feel naked without it . I,m from New Zealand and as far as I know it hasn't been available here for at least a couple of years . Bring it back , I say !!!!

I use my last Wrappings spray very sparingly. I love it and wish they would bring it back.

I too love this perfume. Smells like herbs and rosemary and green things. I found the perfume can be overpowering for me, and prefer the lotion, which is just right, but I tend to like lighter fresher scents. I recently bought the gift set this Christmas as was delighted to find it! But honestly, it will probably last me all year, it is not a scent to pour on, but to dab. Very unique and although in some ways similar to Aromatic Elixir, which smells great on some people (not on me though) but Wrappings has a beautiful base note too. Green, herb-y, if you love rosemary and juniper and wild thyme you will probably love this too. Not like other perfumes at all!

I would like to see this product back in production. It is my all time favorite. i would buy this before your other fragrances

I recently bought a gift set for myself during the holidays, and if I'd known that it was a seasonal product, I would have bought the entire stack! It's that good!

My grandmother gave me a small bottle of this perfume a few years ago. I used it all but kept the bottle because I absolutely LOVE the fragrance! Please bring it back!!!

I used to sell Clinique several years ago. Although I absolutely love Wrappings, I found it very difficult to sell. The same clients who would spray it and say that it was awful would turn around and compliment me on my fragrance. I always wore Wrappings! Clinique only sells pure perfume. My clients were used to smelling eau de toilettes and colognes. When used on the skin sparingly the fragrance is very alluring. I think this is one of the most misunderstood fragrances in the industry. I don't think Clinique does enough education on the proper way to present their fragrances to clients. I absolutely love Wrappings and am very sad about not being able to get it year-round.

Interesting gossip about Wrappings i heard from a salesperson at the Clinique counter. Seems Ester Lauder wants to do away with Wrappings, but can't due to the President of Clinique liking it. So they order very limited supplies to make it look as if people aren't buying it. I sure hope it isn't that political. Figures, that my favorite fragrance is doomed due to office politics!

This is my favorite. I was very sad when it was discontinued. It's back as last year for the holiday. You can get the smoother, soap, 0.85 oz fragrance and a traveling bag for a very reasonable price at the Clinique web site. I bought two again this year. Hurry, they won't be around long. There are those who purchased the set for profit only and are selling each item at outrageous prices!

I think this has to be the best perfume ever made and i cant believe it has sold out. I know so many people who think the same as me and i think clinique should start making this again and fast.

I love this Smoother. I don't know why it is so hard to find anymore.Maybe the companies need to realize not everybody likes the same things.
