Beautiful fragrance with floral notes of Honey, cinnamon, and vanilla!!! Blends nicely with coco butter lotions!

I've searched high and low the French perfumes and this one is on the top of my list. It doesn't over power you once on. Light, delicate, elegant, sweet scents. I've recieved only good comments when I wear it to the office, in the elevator or on dates.

That just plain hurt my head and my sinuses. I felt like someone drove a spike up my nose... Sorry ladies but I could not appreciate this one ever! It was JUST horrible.

If you are still reading, I would like to respond. Amarige D'Amour doesn't smell at all like vanilla. There isn't any vanilla in it, either, if the description is accurate. It is just as sweet as the sweetest vanilla-based scent, though. Sweet in a floral way. I appreciate this scent, but find it too sweet for my tastes. It reminds me, in a way, of Champs Elysees, but much sweeter. This one you must try before you buy.

Thank god that I had an opportunity to smell this before buying. The notes sound so beautiful but in actuality to me it smells like fruit that's been soaking in nail polish remover. Nothing soft and delicate about this one.

I have been wearing Amarige de Givenchy which I thought was too strong at first, but I instantly loved Amarige D'amour.

  • NICOLE11/26/2004

This is a nice perfume and used as a wedding perfume choice. It seems very similar to estee lauder pleasures to me though...maybe they have some of the same notes.

I also found this one somewhat strong and headache inducing at first. Very nice after about 15 minutes. I smelled it first on a scent strip in a magazine and loved it. Bought the mini and was almost dissappointed. Make sure to give scents a try. They can change considerably once they dry down. Very elegant smell all in all. Try it!!!

  • DENISE10/18/2004

reading the comments I would like to try this one,can anyone one tell me what it may smell a little similar to,and does it last, also do you smell any vanilla in it?(i am totally sick of everything smelling like vanilla)

  • EMI06/28/2004

It makes me very romantic and feminine in lifestyle. Although I don't smell it I would like to wear it all time. Good job! I've found it! It's mine.

For those of you wondering about the meaning of the name "Amarige"...It´s derived from the french word for marriage! And Amarige is some wedding, exotic and tenacious. A woman will either fall completely in love with it, or avoid it´s compromizing demands. A daring adventure!

I smelled this on a card in the store and I liked it so much. It stayed on the card for about 3 days. I'm going to buy this one ASAP. If you love a beautiful springtime fragrance, then I'd recommend this one.

  • YUAN04/15/2004

sweet~ i like it so much.

  • KEAHI01/21/2004

Does anyone if this is a limited edition or not? I love the original amarige, and I loved this one too when I smelled on a test strip--very refreshing-- but I think I read on oneweb site that it was a limited edition. I'd like to find out before I buy because there's nothing worse than finding a new favorite that is soon to become obsolete!

If you know someone that is hard to please, but likes light scents, turn them on to this. I work in a fragrance dept. and this item goes over well to anyone that wants something SPECIAL. I've found that men love this light scent more so if their women wear White Diamonds or Jadore. It's a very fresh clean scent. You can't go wrong. It's for the Elite!!!!

  • ANA12/05/2003

A friend gave me sample of this in June and I wore it for my wedding, and it was perfect.

  • CHORT10/27/2003

great scent! Smells icky at first, but then it's real soft almost light musk-like.

  • NEW PERFUMEJUNKIE10/16/2003

I tested it the other month and remember it smelling like nail polish remover. Yuck!

  • RO09/23/2003

I bought this fragrance without being fully convinced and I ended up loving it.

  • AG 200309/13/2003

The best limited edition fragrance of the last summer. I wish they continue to produce it. It is delicate, not too fruity, not too flowery, nothing too much...but alluring, soft and conforting. Elegant. I don't like original Amarige but this one is very nice.

  • LOCACOOKIE08/26/2003

The scent is at first is strong but then settles nice, flowery but delicate

  • NANO07/22/2003
