I bought this recently just to try as I alread like Sung by Alfred Sung. What prompted me to try it was the super low price at a local discount store. At first I thought it was a nice light floral and would be nice to wear on weekends just to run errands. Well the more I wore it the more I fell in love and now it's my new fave! I wear it all the time. The bottle is a work of art. Shi will quietly seduce you!

I can't believe these positive reviews.This stuff is like spraying on lightly scented water.

At first I liked the way it smelled from sniffing the bottle, but when you spray it, it smells too much of incense....not my taste

I LOVE this fragrance!!, I think it's my favorite of the Alfred Sung scents. If is very soft, but somehow developes into a warm sexy almost magical fragrance, yes I actually said magical, can't believe it myself. I first bought a sample and travel size of lotion to try it out, although knew I would love it, and I did!!!! Can't stop smelling my arm, it's absolutely elegant, lovely, sexy, without being overpowering, it does have a medium staying power, but have a solution, first as we all know, layer, layer, I even layer with Oscar body powder, believe or not, and it's great, I don't like oscar by itself, but mixed with something else, it can be lovely. Now Oscar Bamboo, is the absolute BOMB!! Different by far from Shi, but you have to have a bottle, it's so wonderful I personally think everyone should try it. As far as SHI, also believe it's fab., as well as Paradise by Alfred Sung, and my all time favorite Inspire by Ellen Tracy, you have to search for the shower gel and lotion, but can be found, is worth it, lovely fragrance, sweeter than SHI, but I get so many compliments on these fragrances, they have become my wardrobe. Inspire (Ellen Tracy), Oscar Bamboo (Oscar de la Renta), Paradise and SHI (Alfred Sung). I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!, Have also heard Halloween, and Purple Orchid by Eternity are also great, maybe try them next. My teenage daughter wears Red Delicious, it's great, very fruity! Smells great on her, but does float down the stairs before she does, but it's a good smell. My mother-in-law loves Samsara, she recently received Samsara Shine and she loves it. Thought I would share some of these wonderful scents with you, in case you're looking for a great one, these are all great for different reasons, check them out. As for Shi, I plan to purchase a gift set, go to a website that sells perfume oils, purchase a 1 oz bottle of oil to layer, that will make any fragrance last all day, BELIEVE ME!, Did it with Amor Amor, it lasted all day, into the evening, got more comments wearing the oil from a beautiful glass bottle with a dabber, a few dabs of oil on the wrists and it lasts all day. Definitely look in to that option.

I bought Sung -AS.Very rich floral but not long lasting.First very heavy.Later no smell.

If you like light, soft, transparent smells, you would probably like this one, but unfortunately, it doesn't last long enough at all. The first whiff is very pleasant, but it waters down after you wear it, and doesn't linger at all ... so, if you wear it to work and don't reapply it, it simply disappears after an hour or so ! Personally, i like all elegant fragrances, which is why i bought this initially (after reading the reviews here) but i think i made a mistake. There are plenty of much better classy fragrances out there which are light, airy and longer lasting. This one is neither distinctive in its smell, nor is it lasting. It's quite forgettable, and there is simply no uniqueness about it. It's quite weak in character actually. I shall wear it only occasionally for very hot stifling days where i don't have to spend my entire day there. And wear it liberally too! Considering the price, it's really not worth it. I'd rather pay much more and buy a quality perfume...

You know...my friends like the fact that I usually give perfumes as gifts. I travel alot and it fits in the suitcase. So my friend told me that she had tried Sha once and liked it soooooo Sacher buys Shi by mistake ...Whoops! Anyway ladies...happy ending here. She liked Shi better. ( Wow! For a while there I thought I was in deep Shi....! Whew! ) I like it better also. Goes well with silks and light cottons.

If you like this one try "Bai". It lasts longer IMO. It also has gardenia notes for all of you floral lovers.

staying power. smells like marine florals and baby powder, BUT the dry down does NOT last long on me @ all. guess I have dry skin.....

I don't see the appeal of this scent at all. It's very light, transparent and there's a note in the middle or base, that reminds me of human urine. Hope that doesn't offend those that do enjoy it, because everybody's olfactory is a little different than the next person's. It just doesn't seem special enough for the price, regardless.

Shi is a good "fresh" scent, but I can't give it a super high rating because it turns sour on me. It is worth a try if you like sporty, fresh fragrances, and those types agree with your chemistry. I really love Sha, however, and wish it was on here. I honestly can't understand why it is not more popular. To me it smells like lilacs and the outdoors. It is slightly powdery, and not overwhelmingly floral in a harsh way. It is soft, and clean and just pleasant! My good friend does not like it though, and thinks it smells like glue! This just shows how differently people perceive fragrances. Other people like it that I know, and it is my #2 fragrance, behind BLV by Bulgari. They are very different. Overall, Shi is a good fragrance, but i suggest the Sha over this one anyday.

My roomate had this and I tried it and was so suprised. It's light and fresh. I absolutely love this fragrance and so does my boyfriend.

For me, Shi is too watery blue, and as I do not gravitate towards this type of scent, it is not one I would rate highly for me personally. However, as far as this type of scent goes, it is a very clean, fresh scent, that clearly lingers which is ideal. I can smell it on myself for hours after applying it, but the scent doesn't overwhelm me. Someone gave Shi to me as a gift, and for that I do appreciate it, however, this is not a fragrance I would have purchased for myself. As it is wintery cold weather here now, I will give this one another try come Spring, and see if my impression of it changes.

This is just an average perfume. Watery, cool, sweet with fruity and leafy notes. Not bad but not extraordinary either.

To me it just smells like a cheap drug store perfume,very common,nothing unique about this fragrance,it does not smell bad,just don't pay the high price when you can go to the drug store and get the same smelling perfume for a lot less.

I'm not a real nut about "clean," fresh, crisp, green-blue marine/aquatic/water fragrances as a general rule -- but, that said, I'm quite NUTS about this one!! I think it's exactly BECAUSE I have so many fruity, sweet fragrances that Shi just comes in from left field in the most compelling way. I think of it as a morning scent; you know when you hop the bus to work and want to smell fresh from the shower, but still more sophisticated than soap and water clean? This is your bottle! And while it's not especially strong right out of the starting gate and it seems to disappear into my skin so I wonder if it's still detectable, I still get compliments on it several hours later. But it's not too sharp and green, the way some of these fragrances can be, and the drydown is soft and woody. Another plug, too, for my home country, since Alfred, our hero, is Canadian! Anyway, worth a try, Perfum Emporiumers, even if you decide you're not crazy about it; you won't hurt our feelings TOO much!

This perfume smells clear, fresh, sporty, but with some added flowers. It's not a sweet perfume at all, it's more decent, lily smell. This actually reminds me about the men perfume from issey miake. My bf has it, loves it. This is more feminine though. Of course.. i don't want to smell male:)

This is a "nice" scent, but it doesn't blow my mind the way others have (armani mania, burberry, stella mccartney, pure poison, ellen tracy to name a few). I agree with an earlier comment that the top note is too strong. I would apply it at least 15 minutes or so before going out. I also think it smells similar to Alfred Sung Pure...but again, overall a nice fragrance.

Hello Alfred Sung lovers! There is a new Alfred Sung fragrance launched and it's really pretty nice... I think it's also very different from all his previous fragrances as well. It's called Jewel and it's just gorgeous!! I've sen it described as a 'white floral with a creamy luxurious depth. It opens with radiant top notes of neroli and fruits. The luminous and sensual heart unveils notes of frangipani flower and night jasmine. The drydown is warm and luxurious with coconut milk and acacia wood." Coconut milk!!! That sounds really enticing! Notes are: Top note: Neroli Flower, Pear, Black currant Middle note: Orange Flower, Night Jasmine, Frangipani Flower Base note: Coconut Milk, Plum, Acacia Wood ... oh and yes the fragrance is just delicious!

I was given "SHI" for a Christmas gift four years ago from a male friend. I gave away alot of other perfumes in the past because I could smell them on me, but since my first bottle of "SHI" I have worn no other................ I am always receiving compliments on it from both men an women. Thank you Alfred !!!!!!!!!!!

This became one of my favourites and I definitely will buy another bottle. You can smell different notes of the parfume throught the day, so the smell is not boring. It lasts long for me, but it might not work for those who don't like strong perfumes. Proud of our Canadian designer :).

I've tried Shi, Sha, Forever, Spa, and Paradise and none of them have staying power. They all smell great for an hour or two and then the fragrance fades. The original Sung seems to last longer, but it's not my favorite.

Well I like it and I don't... When I put it on I can't get enough but at the same time it's a little funny/odd... I have to say it's an intriguing fragrance for sure :)

Although this perfume is light it strikes a lasting impression. I'll remember the scent vividly, and more importantly I'll remember the person wearing it forever!

i bought it via internet. i was kind of disapointed in the beginning coz the topnote of water lily was too strong for me, but about 3 hours later, i just felt wow it was not that bad. the middle note and base note are really good.

There is something good and bad about this perfume! I like the soft side and feminity of this perfume but there is some kind of smell in it which i don't know what it is that makes it alittle disturbing to my nose! I applied it once and thought ummmm but when I started applying it more often I figured out that it didn't meet my expectation! I was alittle sad cuz i got me more than 3 bottles and now I have to give them away to someone who would be happy to use them! I learnt to never purchase a perfume only after i tried it more than once!

I wear Light Blue all the time and have literally received hundreds of compliments.....Shi has been repeatedly noted as having a clean, crisp scent...that's the way everyone has described Light Blue's scent on me. Do the two smell anything alike?

Overpoweringly sharp - way too strong - and pretty much burns my nose hairs and makes my eyes water. Not for me.

I know it sounds weird, but I have to change my mind yet again! haha, I am back to my original decision of giving this perfume away to someone. It is not bad, but honestly I think I will just stick with scents which do not emphasize florals quite so blatantly. It is nice if you like florals, and it does smell expensive.

Something in this fragrance is strong and biting. Nasty and bad. I don't like this at all.

I know it sounds funny, but I just changed my mind about this fragrance since my last posting below. I have decided to keep the bottle. I sprayed it on again, waited for the dry down... and THIS time I thought "hmm, really not bad". Like I said before, I am not crazy about ones which are too flowery, but for a change, it really is nice. Also, it smells "expensive" you can tell it is made with quality.

I purchased this scent because I had a really good salesperson! I was looking for a new perfume and she persuaded me how beautiful it was. I wore it for a while, but now I think it is just ok. I think I will give it away to someone. It is not bad, just a little too powdery and flowery for my liking.

This is a wonderful, airy, beautiful fragrance; just divine! I recommend it to anyone who likes light, crisp, clean scents. One of the absolute best! You cannot go wrong with SHI!!

This is not a bad scent, it just did not work for me. I found it to be too floral for me; from the first spray to the dry down. It is though a light water fresh floral smell for those of you that like that. I did however find Alfred Sungs new perfume Paradise to be much more to my liking. It is so unique. I can't stop smelling my wrist when i wear it and my hubby loves it. A nice one to try.

I love Shi! It's ultra-feminine and smells really fresh. I love that it's not too overpowering and you don't have to wear a lot. Great perfume.

My boyfriend bought this to me. he likes it very much. i think the first note is a little bit strong, but after that, it become better and better. it's a nice floral fragrance. when i wore it to go out with my boyfriend, evrybody said that i smell good and askd me what fragrance i wore. i like it~!

In my opinion, this fragrance is too plain. The first whiff was dominated by jasmine, and then just withered away into a mix of obscure scents.

My cousin had introduced me to Shi last summer when I saw her spray herself with it as we were getting ready for a night out. I felt compelled to try some, but I had already put on one of my perfumes. From all the people around us, her scent was the most distinct, and she smelled so great! Well yesterday, I just got my very first bottle. I just love it! For some reason though, it smells like watermelon on me. But I have no problem with that!

Comestible, lovely but I am afraid not very original. There are others in the market with similar scent. Good staying power. I still prefer my Sung by Sung!

This perfume is a mystery to me. I just got it as a gift and after reading the notes in it I figured I would not like it (I tend to like spicy fragrances) the initial smell was of the watery notes however after a few minutes it smelled like incense, which I loved. It almost seems to melt into the character of your skin. LOVED IT

I was surprised to find that I liked Shi. I usually go for orientals or chypres and more classic type fragrances, I am not too into the light and flowery trendy type girly-girly fragrances. But when I spayed the tester of Shi I couldn't stop smelling my wrist all day, especially after the drydown. This fragrance really melds with you and, like China posted previously, forms a kind of second skin type scent that smells just so fresh and clean, reminds me of how I would imagine a fairy to smell...very nice scent that is good for when you don't want to smell to perfumey.

I agree with DEB1. This smelled really lovely when I first put it on, but the dry down is very odd. I think I'll stick to Ferregamo. I've been looking for a new fragrance, but nothing beats their original women's fragrance.

alfred sung has kind of a sister scent to Shi. it's called Sha and it is very powdery, floral and very fresh. i wonder why perfume emporium hasn't put it on their site for purchase? if anyone has smelled this wonderful scent please post a message!! thanks

wonderful scent, and love the whole display potential! (it is residing on the middle of my wooden dresser, there is nothing else on it). i got this the other day because i am about to run out of my favourite summer 'fume (davidoff cool water, also fabulous) but they didn't have any left so i picked up this as a wildcard. i figured it would be nice and light due to the description and reviews, and i love sung. so, being the wild canadian girl i am (alfred sung is canadian, eh) i went for it, and was pleasantly surprised! on me it starts off kind of 'just got out of the shower and my hair smells glorious' fresh almost soapy smell, middle notes are refreshing like fresh cut flowers or how flowers smell when you step out into a still-cool-morning-but-it's-going-to-be-a-corker kind of day, and the dry down is mellow, woody-musky but still fresh. totally feminine and really unique. i refuse to tell everyone what i am wearing, as it is nice to have a unique scent. i guess i have found a replacement for my lovely but oh so common and overused cool water! plus my hubby loves the fragrance, and he actually said 'wow, what a neat perfume bottle'. has great lasting power yet is soft.

I had to buy this fragrance. was looking for a light summer scent with a hint of floral, this was perfect. Smelled it at a dept. store and fell in love.

Shi is a light, casual scent and nice if you don't care much for sickeningly sweet scents or heavy florals. I wear this when I'm out shopping or running errands in warmer weather.

I'm back again to comment on this fabulous fragrance! I have been complemented time and time again on the "fragrance that I'm wearing". Simoly spectacular! I'm glad that it's still as exclusive, although people are beginning to come around. If this continues, Mr. Sung will have an even greated hit on his hands, and I will have about another season to sport this scent without searching out something unique! :) Thanks, Al!

I do enjoy this scent; however, it doesn't last.

I love the bottle but the fragrance is so grosss it is very strong but it has a very gross icky smell to it like rotten oranges in a bowl of water!

This is by far my absolute favorite scent. It totally uplifts my mood, is never overpowering and always garners compliments. When I first started wearing it was hard to find now it is popping up everywhere. I don't like wearing scents that "everyone" wears so I may have to branch out but for now it is still my favorite.

It's absolutely wonderful! I love this fragrance! I don't know why, but it reminds me of a nice refreshing walk near a crystal clear river on a valley surrounded by mountains. Ha ha ha. But it's true it does! GRRREEAAT!!!

I really like how the smell is just sweet and nice, but I don't like how the bottle is almost identicle to J'Adore.

This scent is so nice. It might be well described as a light, feminine, sweet bath. You don't have to really worry about putting to much on because the scent isn't overpowering or invading. I also agree with the earlier post who said that overtime the smell becomes much like a creamy second skin. It is a favorite for a daytime or weekend scent.

I have been looking for a good perfume and Shi is the one.But it is more than good, it is great! It has an awsome smell and I just would like find one person that thinks it is not great, or at the very least, not good. I have found the perfect perfume. Everybody, please give it a try and you will see what I mean!!!

I am a real perfume freak, I wear scents constantly to make myself feel good. At first when I smelled Shi it seemed too light. After trying it again months later, I decided I like it quite a bit. I'm the person who doesn't like florals very much, and this scent is the most floral I can handle. I also love the bottle. Now I wear Shi when I want a softer, sweeter scent for a change from my other perfumes.

The baby oil must be unscented :-)

Shi smells wonderful. it's a wonderful after bath scent.very refreshing. it seemed to fade fast on me the first time I wore it, so I was a little disappointed. Then i remembered that perfume lasts longer on oily/moist skin so I applied baby oil and then perfume and it worked out just great.

This is one of the most beautiful scents I've come across and I am very particular about the kind of fragrances I like. It has a transparent, watery floralcy in the beginning and dries down to a creamy, second-skin type of scent. Very easy to wear and it never overwhelms.

smells great/very light fragrance

I have never worn a perfume for which I have recieved so many compliments. Every time I wear it people in stores and restaurants and everywhere I go tell me how good I smell!

This was suggested by a saleslady after I tried all the Escada and Carolina Herrera perfume and I loved it...it is sooo feminine and it smells expensive.

this perfume does what it says it will do. very calming on a different level than other perfumes.

What a wonderful fragrance! I can't decide which I like better, Pure or Shi. Pure tends to be a bit more woodsy, and I smell a hint of coconut in Shi. Both are faboo!
