This 1980s signature still pleases my fussy nose. Yes, this is very floral almost too much so. Lily of the valley, and jasmine make this very androgynous to say the least. It works well on me, as I like darker heavier notes. This really doesnt happen until the drydown several hours later. It does last 8-10 hours and the bottle looks great on my vanity!

Not nearly as sexy as I thought it would be from the reviews here and at basenotes.net. This stuff smells dark, but so does gasoline. I would stay away from it. I am absolutely the biggest fan of dark mysterious scents, but this stuff falls short. It is average power and not mysterious or sexy. Not very good in my opinion. It is dark scent, but nothing at all above average.

First of all I have no problem with feminine smelling fragrances. This initially reminded me of 273 with the oak note. Then there seemed to be tons of rose. I dont see oak or rose in the pyramid, but that doesnt necessarily mean they are not there. Bottom line for me is this is a feminine smelling fragrance which is not for me. On a more positive note, it seemed to last forever.

I've got a bottle of Salvador Dali, but haven't brought myself to wearing it; have only mustered the courage to spray it on a hand to test again. There's nothing sparkling or fresh here - just darkness - like black roses at a satanist ritual. It's interesting, and I'll still bring myself to wearing it - one day... Oh, the bottle is cheeky enough, but the box looks ever so recycled and cheap.

This is like a smoky version of Jacomo de Jacomo. Both are top colognes and both are very pungent--so do NOT overdo! Especially in daytime or summer. If you're a fan of dry, spicy woods you've found a winner.

This is a very androgynous scent...a very femme fatale scent. Similiar to Bandit by Robert Piguet. This scent is listed for men but could definitely be worn by a woman. For a woman that likes Kingdom by alexander mcqueen and Agent Provocateur. Good for guys too though. I think its one of the best scents for men ever.

This scent is way too strong for me. I was put off by its powdery "after-smell" too. Not very masculine smelling in my opinion. Maybe that was the intention since the artist myself was very eccentric. Try "Salvador" instead. It's a much better scent than "Salvador Dali".

Imagine standing next to a hugh bon fire with the black smoke billowing up, embers burning, ashes floating in the air. That is what this smells like to me. This scent is A 1 AWESOME!!!! Very cool bottle too.

On me, the eau de toilette was a bit too strong and sharp, but the after shave was quite nice!.

  • MARIUSZ04/04/2003

One of my top five! Don`t think - buy it now!

  • JOE06/04/2002

Very masculine and assertive. Chicks compliment me constantly when I wear this one. Along with Gentleman by Givenchy, this is an absolute must-have in any collection.

  • RINKEY02/02/2002
