  • THERESA 05/24/2014

    My go-to perfume. Love it!

  • JANE 03/07/2013

I have loved this perfume from the fist time I smelt it on a holiday in Como I cannot by it in the UK and have never found anything I like as much thank goodness for the internet!!!

  • LOIS BROWN10/06/2012

My daughter bought this fragrance for me about 6 yrs. ago. I have so many compliments on how great it smells, and how light it is (not heavy or overpowering). I guess I feel that this is my signature.

  • BROWNIE06/15/2011

This fragrance is the absolute best I have ever had. I have many compliments on it. Next time I order it I want to get the lotion, too.

  • RAJUL07/28/2010

absolutely lovely fragrance..........fresh n lingering.....changes the air around you !

  • PAOLA10/13/2009

I absolutely Love this fragrance. I'm on my 5th bottle, i get so many great compliments from everyone all the time. men in particular. my boyfriend goes crazy everytime i wear it. great scent on me!!!! Is also long lasting.

  • BELLEDINE10/10/2008

I am supposing something in this potion did not agree with me - it made me nauseous and if I had not washed it off fast enough, I would have vomited. I'll say this too - it was nothing to write home about scentwise either. I wonder if the PE people will post this one - after all, they have so much of this stuff to unload. Can they afford to take a chance on a non-favorable remark? This is the second time I've tried to post a message.

  • ANNA MARIE09/27/2008

I got a sample and tried it out - became almost immediately nauseated and couldn't wash it off fast enough. I have read here that many love this, so there must be something in it that does not agree with me. Even the thought of it now makes my stomch turn a little. So sorry ....

  • BEAUTIFUL09/10/2008

I really enjoy this scent. It is a very nice floral scent. It lasts all day when you layer it with the bath gel and the lotion. This will probably be in my collection forever!

  • BRIGITTE12/23/2007

Couldn't find this one in town or at the airport. Glad that your web carries it! I love the smell and i receive a lot of good comments on that one.

  • TOVAH10/15/2007

Truly a lovely, fragrance. It's fresh, bright, and happy, and would be perfect for a wedding day. The bottle is absolutely beautiful, with its depiction of a mother and daughter; and the story behind the original Arpege (a perfume created by a mother for her daughter) is inherited by this inspired scent. If you love D & G Light Blue, this is very similar, but sweeter and fresher, with no cedar notes. It's a fragrance for energy, happiness, and joy - perfect for any season or weather. The lasting power, for me, is incredible. If you enjoy sparkling citrus-florals, don't miss giving this one a try!

  • JESICA10/03/2007

I just got it and to my surprise. DOLCE GABBANA LIGHT BLUE CLONE FROM ECLAT. ECLAT IS 10XX FEMENINE THAN LB SAME SCENT BUT SWEETER , FEMENINE AND SOFTER . I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE AGREES WITH ME LIGHT BLUE HAS SOME SORT OF MASCULINE SCENT BUT REFRESHING MAYBE THE BERGAMONT-LEMON CITRUS BASE. I LOVE LB, BUT LANVIN ITS SO FAR THE BEST. ECLAT IS VERY INEXPENSIVE AROUND $30-40.00 (LB-$60.00). NO BRAINER.......HA-HA.!!!!!

  • SHARON09/28/2007

Amazing fragrance.. I love the wisteria. I could drink this stuff! It doesn't last long on me though, even with layering. I wish it had more staying power on me!

  • NADIA08/02/2007

I'm deciding whether or not to buy this perfume or versace bright crystal. i could barely smell this scent on the paper strip minutes after it was sprayed. is it long-lasting on the body??

  • KALINA05/20/2007

this perfume smells so beautiful..i bout this on a whim and am so greatfull...love this stuff

  • CARMEN P04/30/2007

I wore this perfume on my weeding day last year. So it is and will always be unique. I like it because it is fresh and floral but also sophisticated at the same time. Also it seems to stay on my skin all day long. I don't wear it all the time, in fact I don't wear any perfume for much time, I seem to always be looking for that special one, the signature perfume. So far, Eclat D'Arpege seems to be closest to perfection for me. It's really unique.

  • GNURSEU203/13/2007

I had this fragrance sitting in my closet for about 1&1/2 years before I finally took it out. I wore it about 5 times before I finally decided it smells fabulous. I get so many compliments on it too. Dont try this one once, the dry down and after effects of this perfume are lovley.

  • DOYLE02/17/2007

I have a large, unopened bottle of Arpege Lanvin Paris that has been in my family since World War 2 days. Its measurments are 3 1/2" by 3 1/2" by 7 1/2". I suspect it was meant for display only. Can anyone tell me something about it?

  • CHRISTIAN TANGLAO02/16/2007

wow, this really smells great from the time it is sprayed till the dry down...bought one for my girlfirend and eventually bought another one for her mom...doesnt seem to last that long though

  • TANINHA BRAZIL01/17/2007

someone said that eclat was similar to l. blue ... it is so true ! still, eclat is softer , a bit more floral and (to me ) a lot more feminine ...

  • FERGIE09/24/2006

all i can say is, my husband loves my sweet scent, this is the best.

  • AMY09/15/2006

OK, so I tested it on my skin. And as I said in my previous review, it's not an unpleasant scent... just nothing special to me. I anxiously awaited some kind of magical POP or something to happen at the drydown, but unfortunately nothing. So, to all of you reading these reviews out there... I say give it a try! The majority of people on this site LOVE this scent. Maybe it's just my chemistry...I don't know. But, my opinion remains the same...B-O-R-I-N-G.

  • LOUISE09/08/2006

This is for Amy and for others who depend on scent strips---please, please. Try a fragrance on your skin first and then write a review. The paper strip, while it can give you an idea of what a fragrance will do, is really a poor indicator in the final drydown of whether or not a scent will work with your chemistry or even appeal to your nose. Drive-by reviews do justice neither to the scent itself nor to others who read reviews in order to help them decide whether or not to try a fragrance. It may take more than one wearing, even, to test out a scent and be able to discern what it's doing.

  • AMY09/03/2006

There was nothing special about this scent to me. It was a simple floral. Nothing unique or captivating about it, in my opinion. Based on these reviews though, I'm beginning to think it's just me. I didn't test it on my skin. But, it was just so boring, I didn't want to bother. Could it be b/c I only tested it on paper? I've heard a lot of comparisons to Light Blue, which I love. I didn't notice any similarities. Light Blue, to me, has a musky undertone to it, which I think is what makes it a little sexy and mysterious. This perfume doesn't have that...Does it? Don't get me wrong, this scent is not unpleasant or anything. I just can't see myself spending my money on a scent that doesn't smell any different than a floral body spray you would find at Bath and Body Works (in my opinion.)

  • MARGARET09/02/2006

I first encountered this scent by chance, a tester in the chemist. This sounds 'cheap', but this perfume is anything but cheap. I did not quite notice its name but remembered the slight lilac coloured bottle. Like a glance from a passing lover it stayed in my mind and some years later, I looked him up. Difficult to find and elusive like a mystery should be I found my scent again and loved it just as much as the last time we had 'met' some years before. It was love immediatly and I had to have that little lilac bottle. Since then we have been together everyday, and like a love affair we become familiar, but never as one. Love this scent it is truely beautiful.

  • ALLISON R.08/12/2006

I think if heaven had a scent, this is what it would smell like. While that does sound a little cheesy, I think of clouds and mists of sweet floral fragrances, a little fruity and mysterious. I bought the small bottle, and the original Arpege lotion. They both are finely made, and make me feel the way I want to feel. I still smell hints of them both after the day is done. A+++. Thanks for all of the great comments before me!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL08/11/2006

This is a lovely fragrance. I ordered the smallest bottle just to test it out because I had read all the other comments. It is wonderful! I love it!! I recommend to anyone who likes a soft fruity scent.

  • M08/03/2006

It is pronounced ay-cla(t) as in clatter - the 't' can be dropped- dar-pezh as the 'eas' in pleasure. ay-clat dar-pezh. It means a shard, slice, or sparkle of L'Arpege, Lanvin's original fragrance from I believe the 1920's.

  • RAPT IN RAINBOWS05/24/2006

OMG! I am wowed by this! I'd been looking for the right kind of scent for myself for quite a while - and this is it! It's a flowery fruity mix, with a drop of mystery added. I am simply lost for words. I don't think there's ever been a perfume which has bowled me over quite like this. It smells of sophisitcation. Every now and again I get a waft of it and I just think "Wow ... that smells D-I-V-I-N-E." I'm rapt.

  • ANGELIQUE05/21/2006

I bought this a while ago, and loved it. One drop goes a long way and it smells so beautiful. You can't pigeonhole it. It's feminine without being girly, it's chic, sophisticated, and sexy. It's the kind of scent which makes you feel beautiful without having to try. A MUST. I've just re-ordered some.

  • MM04/04/2006

this scent makes me feel happy, young and in love with myself! love it sooo much coz it gives me a different feeling everytime i spray it on my skin.

  • BRENDA04/02/2006

Such a lovely and very classy fragrance. Lanvin out did themselves with this one.

  • JAIME03/28/2006

To Kitty How to prounounce name it is pronounced eclat (e claw) like a cat's claw

  • HEATHER03/01/2006

I like this one alot. People have asked me if i'm wearing Light Blue by Dolce. It's powdery & clean smelling and citrus! I use this one almost everyday!

  • LAURINHA03/01/2006

I love this one, it's so different, delicate and feminine. It doesn't last on my skin, so I bought the BL, which is very good too. As others said, fresh fragrances don't last, we have to reaply often - but it's worth :)

  • ROB H.02/23/2006

Bought this for my then girlfriend back around September '04 after she sampled a vial I had received from a previous cologne order. Great longevity and overall a radiant and sexy powdery-floral fragrance that's perfect for spring/summer days.

  • SARAH02/12/2006

Hi Kitty, I'll try to write out the French in English sounds. Eclat is pronounced "ayCLAH," no t, and d'arpege is "darPEZH," the zh sounding like the s in measure. I hope this makes sense!

  • KENDRA01/26/2006

I am an asthmatic, so I have a difficult time finding a fragrance that won't overpower my lungs. This fragrance is the only one I can wear. Light Blue by D&G is a bit stronger and does trigger my asthma.

  • ARLEEN01/25/2006

I was hesitant on getting this perfume because some said it smelled like light blue (which smells light leather on my skin) fortunately eclat smells very light and nice. I hope it lasts long. I will check it out.

  • KITTY12/18/2005

I received this as a gift, and I love it. It smells very fresh and clean, not at all cloying in my opinion. On a side note, could anyone please tell me how to pronounce the name? Thanks

  • PERFUME MANIAC10/26/2005

I never want to say somebody's favourite bad,but I believe the body chemistry is so important, this new one smells liked a lux soap on me, and some perfume smells really bad on me, especially those green one and floral one, I can smell as bad as a fish, sorry,I love musky one which are supposed to be old-fashioned,but I don't care, musky one smells best on me.

  • SHAU10/20/2005

I was so excited when I finally found this perfume. It has a very pretty light scent which makes you feel lovely and feminine. However, the smell does not last to long and fades quite fast. I guess that means a couple extra sprays here and there for me!

  • NATALIA10/19/2005

A friend very dear to my heart gave me this parfume as a gift! When I smelt it, I knew why he chose this pafume. It smells as special, as special we are to each other! This parfume has a gentle message!

  • LAVINIA07/19/2005

Shilpa, Eclat will NOT knock your head off. Maybe your socks, but not your head. Lt Blue can become very heavy with some women's chemistry, but Eclat never, ever gets heavy. It stays light and florally and quite wonderful. It might just what you're looking for.

  • ATTACK OF THE COLOGNES 07/04/2005

Hi Shilpa, I own light blue and I just purchased eclat d'arpege and after comparing them both I did notice that there is a note in both that is similar. But I would have to say that light blue is stronger and has more of a citrusy, fresh smell and eclat is more feminine to me w/ more of a floral scent. The thing is, I don't know if it's the particular bottle of eclat I purchased but it seems to be extremely light that after I spray it, me and my boyfriend only seem to be able to smell it when we put our nose up to my wrist where I sprayed it. I don't know if my bottle is old, but the smell of it is lovely and was the only one in the store I purchased it from that I felt comfortable sniffing which is why I bought it. Hope this helps!

  • SHILPA06/03/2005

i read in couple of reviews here that Eclat D' Arpage is similar to Light Blue. I tried Light Blue. I liked the smell but it knocked my head out. It's too strong for me. Can somebody please tell me whether this one is a lighter version of Light Blue? B'coz if it is then it can be perfect for me.

  • PAM04/14/2005

About a year ago I posted the first review of Eclat and stated that, although it's a nice scent, it's not as unique as I had hoped. Well, I gave this fragrance a real, honest chance and I can say now that I count this fragrance as one of my favorites and do appreciate it as a unique scent. Truly. For years I've not been attracted to the lighter floral fragrances, but after having given it an honest chance, I can say that Eclat is quite wonderful, and I find myself even craving it from time to time. I was able to get the body lotion and it is a plus in keeping the scent of the EDP fresh throughout the day. I've compared Eclat to some of the other fragrances that I THOUGHT it was similar to and can say that while Eclat may have some similarities to other fragrances, it is quite unique and is a joy to wear.

  • ANALIZA04/08/2005

I bought this perfume and I am so in love with it. It is a fruity floral and subtle perfume. I just love it and I would so recommend this for everyone to buy.

  • LOVE THIS PERFUME04/03/2005

love this perfume. it is fruity and floral at the same time. most of all, it lasts all day long. will recommend to friends and family...yum!

  • NOELIA12/16/2004

This is a lovely perfume.. Fresh, but in my opinion, much better than Light Blue. It has a subtle, warm milky note.. My favorite, signature perfume. Well, this is simply MY PERFUME!

  • MONETTE12/14/2004

i just love the scent.the packaging is good either.somewhat similar to light blue but i think eclat is better

  • SHANNON11/26/2004

To me this smells as great as Light blue but with a bit of a floral undertone. I have tried light blue a couple of times but it smells like floor cleaner on me - not good. however eclat smells great on me and I love it. I am definitely gonna get the 100ml bottle of this!

  • TANNEDGIRL11/25/2004

i dont know why your eclat doesnt last long but mine does..i bought mine just for 2300 pesos here in manila,,to think its 100ml..i know it cost almost i think 4000 pesos.i found a new store that sellls cheaper perfume..its getting popular here in the philippines,a famous actress/beauty queen-charlene gonzalez muhlach wears it also..highly recommended.nice packaging as well

  • JT11/23/2004

Since my previous post, I have smelled this more, and now that I am used to it, I really love it! It is better than Light Blue... smells more expensive. It was a little pricey, but worth it I think! It does seem to wear off quite fast, but that's ok, that's usual for light scents. I just buy purse sized atomizers to take my fragrances with me for a touch up.

  • EMRA11/17/2004

This is truly a unique fragrance...I have tried many many, but none comes close to the subtle richness of this.

  • MITNY10/27/2004

i love this perfume!! it's my favorite...it's romantic and femme. but it fades away fast. =(

  • HILDA10/26/2004

This newest offering from the house of Lanvin is a beautiful fragrance. I've read the posts which say the scent doesn't last. This may sound strange, but the more I use it, the longer I'm able to smell the fragrance. Also, get the body lotion and layer it with the EDP if you like this scent. Fabulous results!!! I just wish this fragrance were more popular. It's impossible to find where I live but seems easy enough to purchase over the internet, which is what I do.

  • JT10/23/2004

Light Blue. In my opinion, both are good but not excellent enough to buy. If enough Light Blue fans knew about this one, it might be more popular. This one is more expensive though.

  • MICHELLE W.10/18/2004

A great scent particularly for spring/summer that every woman should have in her collection.

  • PILAR09/23/2004

Eclat smells great, beautiful but it doesn't last long. Try D&G light blue, is very similar but stronger and longer lasting.

  • TEREE09/01/2004

i almost make sure im updated to the latest perf. this one is the best perfume i purchased this year! very light and very womanly.

  • LOUISE07/15/2004

This is a fabulous scent. Modern, sweet, and light. While the original Arpege is also wonderful, it's like an alto. Eclat d'Arpege is more of a soprano. If you can get your hands on the body lotion (which is just now becoming available in the U.S.), purchase it. It helps the EDP last longer. And the body lotion is also exquisite by itself.

  • ALEXA07/02/2004

It's the perfume I will always be in love with. It has that kind of mistery every woman and especially man like. It brings you life. It's the best thing with which you can start your day!! Super, super, super...

  • GABRIELA05/04/2004

Very original smell, but it doesn't stay that long.. I can hardly feel it in the second part of the day, and ones around me say, they don't smell a thing too.

  • HOLLY04/28/2004

I like nice perfumes no matter the price, it all depends on the smell, but very expensive perfumes like Creed Spring Flowers is really a step above most perfumes, and this is very similiar in quality and smell to the expensive perfumes like Creed, I prefer this one over Spring Flowers, if you like Creed Spring Flowers you will like this too.

  • AMY04/20/2004

This is the greatest perfume I've worn. I found it on a trip to Bermuda and I haven't seen it in the US anywhere. I'm very excited to find it on this website!

  • PAM04/20/2004

Nice, but not as unique as I had hoped. I prefer the original Arpege. Still, Eclat d'Arpege is quite nice, especially the opening notes. The bottle is beautiful and the wisteria purple of the perfume liquid is pretty.
