The most perfect perfume I ever wore, brought back from France by mother's friend in the 50's. The aroma brings back haunting memories. Crossing my fingers I won't be on the waiting list for too long.

  • PAT10/23/2009

My Grandmother wore the original Replique in the 1950's. I am ordering today's version to see how close it comes to the absolutely most wonder perfume I ever wore when I was young!

  • LINDA03/10/2009

I have my mother's Replique Perfume and although it is a tad dense, it smells just as I always remembered. A jewel of a fragrance. Not sure if this is the same formula though :( On waiting list.

Replique lovers, the original, which was made in France, no longer exists. I wore it for 20 years, starting in the 60's. I understand that the factory in France burned down and the original formula was lost. Have never been able to verify. More likely the cost of making it became too prohibitive. However, I would pay ANYTHING to have that lovely scent once again.

To Judy, that was my best friend's name. I'm so glad they still make Replique, too. I'm glad it brings back good memories for you. I just hope it still smells the same since I haven't bought it in ten years and want to buy more. Where do you buy yours????

  • MARGARET12/07/2006

I found Replique many years ago and I love it. It is hard to find now as far as I can tell. My last spray bottle which is only and ounce and I am using very sparingly, I bought about ten years ago. It smells the same to me. I really, really hope they didn't change the formula. I believe mine was made in the US under license (I guess by Raphael). Was Replique originally made in France.

I feel in love with Replique back in the 1970's. I've been looking for the original ever since. Can anyone help with where to find it?

  • BARBRA07/21/2004

Until I read this message board, I thought I was the only person who thought the smell had changed. At first you couldn't find it in the stores and then my daughter found some and gave it to me. After a bit I threw it out as a fake perfume.

The only frangrance I have ever worn which prompted people, both men and women, to ask: What is that wonderful fragrance? It's NICE!

  • JUDY03/19/2004

I've never purchased a bottle, but I have a bottle that was my mothers. I wear it only when I get dressed up because that is the only time she wore it. It brings back memories of her, good memories. I'm glad to know it is still made.

Cologne is always the lightest concentration of a scent, perfume the heaviest and least diluted with alchohol. With perfume you can enjoy the top, middle and base notes completely, colognes are watered-down versions of the original scent formulation.

  • KELLEY03/09/2004

I have not really smelled it, but a lady wanted to know how it was pronounced. It's pronounced 'rayPLEEK.'

  • RAINFAERIE11/19/2003

My reaction is to the 1970's version, the only 'Replique' I know. The perfume was a gift given to me as a young teen in boarding school, and I reserved it for special occasions. When I wanted to feel elegant and sophisticated, I would don 'Replique' with a stylish blazer and a single strand of pearls. As I recall, it smelled clean and fresh, with hints of herbs (opal basil?) and freshly cut flowers (roses and freesia?). I would LOVE to wear it again, but if you say they changed it, perhaps my memories of the original are better left undisturbed.

  • AIKO11/07/2003

what have they done, doesn't smell the same

  • CHRIS08/14/2003

I wore this fragrance years ago. Finding it again is like finding an old friend. It always reminds of fall, collecting apples and watching the leaves turn colors. It has a clean crisp smell I really like.

  • MARY06/29/2003

I don't agree with Laurel -- that the fragrance is not unique enough to be a signature scent. Perhaps she has not experienced the original perfume. The new formula doesn't cut it -- I won't order it on line because I need to run it past my orlfactory senses to be sure it is the orginal.

  • LAUREL02/27/2003

I'm not sure I used the perfume when I first enjoyed Replique (in the eighties), but my EDT is still the same wonderful scent I remember. Sporty, clean and casual with no men's sports cologne notes. Smells like a brisk, leafy walk on an Autumn afternoon. Not personal enough to be a signature scent, but a refreshing choice for occasional use. And sweet memories ;-) ...

I Used Replique "Perfume" in the late sixties early seventies and can not find it since then. I am not sure the Colonge has the same fragrance. Does anyone know the answer?

  • PAMELA01/11/2003

What is the proper prononciation? Is it "reply?" Have not seen it for years, but for sentimental reasons am inquiring. I am 52 years old and it was given to be on my 16th birthday by a very special boy. Just learned of his passing today and for sentimental reasons am inquiring.

  • JEANIE01/03/2003

The Replique on the present day market is not the same scent as the original. I read where it became too expensive to keep the original formula. Well, they should have kept the original as the new formula is only a hint of that mysterious sensual scent. I would rate the new one so-so!

  • BARBRE08/13/2002

I found Replique many years ago. The word was that is was the only one worn by Jacquie Kennedy. I adored it. They they seemed to change the formula. Could someone wearing it please describe it?

  • HELENE MANLEY07/03/2002

I've been using Replique for many many years and still love to wear it. Delicious......
