  • SYNERGY02/24/2011

This manly water is a great all-around frag, in fact it's phenomenal. Love the spice n woodiness and one full spray across the neck is all you need and lasts all day. Kudos to Rochas!!

  • RX-810/22/2007

A different approach to the aquatic genre with its spicy-woodiness and quite good. Great longevity and unknown to many out there.

  • SCENTMAN09/15/2007

This one smellls very similar to Issey Miyake Blue almost similar but less refined. Overpowering so a little will do a lot to much will intoxicate you and the ones near you. Heavy note of eucalyptus. Not a common aquatic fragrance. Somehow smell like medicinal.

  • LEBM08/21/2007

But its a bit to heavy for me to call an aqua scent - I would not buy this - I was expecting somthing cooler smelling based on the name

  • SIMPLY C08/15/2007

I bought this based on the reviews and I'm very happy I did so. It wasn't appealing at first, but it really grows on you after you start wearing it. I don't test a lot of colognes but I can tell this is a unique scent that has great longevity and a unique scent. It's a great all around cologne that is versatile, while staying masculine.

  • TONYGIO07/05/2007

...minus one star. I came across Axe Boost shower gel the other day and remembered prior post comparing it to aquaman so decided to try it and.....I actually like the shower gel better. It has that little touch of fruity sweetness that I always felt aquaman was in need of to really shine. Oh well, minus one star for that I guess is fair...

  • KEVINB.05/09/2007

hey you got that right about the top heavy bottle, i just about knock it over anytime i touch anything near it,lol.

  • TONYGIO04/29/2007

Just topped 80 degrees here in the suburbs of Chicagoland for the first time this year, which makes thoughts turn to warm weather scents, and this is a darn good one, with incredible longevity as an added bonus- not to worry about sweating it off in the heat! Only complaint is the shape of the bottle, which is topheavy and easily tipped over...careful where you keep it!

  • ROB H.12/05/2006

No headache but it is some fairly strong but masculine stuff among aquatic scents for men. It also delivers a long spray when you fully pump the sprayer so one full spray across the neck and maybe once on the shirt and you're good to go. Take care

  • J12/03/2006

Have been considering buying this one. Never try it throughout a day. Just wonder if anybody did wear it during a day and found it to be headache ? Any comments would be appreciated, please! Cheers,

  • ONG-BAK10/23/2006

Probably the most masculine of any aquatic I've ever smelled. This spicy/woodsy aqua hit lasts a good while and is perfect for casual/sportin' use.

  • JASON1308/21/2006

The best "True" aquatic/marine scent available with its combo of water and spice! Highly unique and tops Del Mar in originality imo. Described as "blue ice cubes" by female co-worker says it all!

  • CAIUS08/01/2006

Surprising and unique. Furthermore, spicy and very sporty. I love the bottle. Very attractive. I have to bump off one of my top ten to put this one in. Thank you Rochas for making such a fine fragrance.

  • MAJ. GEN. J.G. TOMECKI06/27/2006

Bold and masculine spicy-woody aquatic scent is perfect for outdoors especially during spring/summer days and even better.............at the beach.

  • J. YORK05/10/2006

Definitely one of the greatest aquatic fragrances ever created for us guys. This spicy/grapefruity aqua has earned me plenty enough compliments from all around, has good lasting power, is a great alternative to Cool Water as well as one of the best sleepers out there right next to St. Dupont's Signature and Cristobal.

  • LEPRECHAUN2804/13/2006

so, if you were looking for the edt of this stuff, this is it. good stuff

  • EMRE04/07/2006

guys i wanna buy one of these two. but i didnt smell any of them and need commet. Which one better ?

  • WES CLEMENS03/07/2006

Great sporty and spicy aquatic scent is the best among this category right next to Baldessarini del Mar and (sigh) Acqua di Gio.

  • QUANTUM FIRE02/12/2006

Not your usual aquatic but great and unique in every sense. Spices and woods make this a great outdoorsy and sporty hit.

  • SYLVIE01/22/2006

Aquaman (Men) 2001 Rochas, France. Olfactive family: Woody Spicy. Olfactive description: Aromatic Citrus Green Chypre Spicy Woody(Cedarwood). Perfumer: Very popular & successful (!) Jacques Cavallier!!! - I totally agree with all these "excellent - 5 stars" reviews here. Aquaman smells expensive and classy! A modern masterpiece. I don't like Cool Water type of fragrances: Too synthetic, harsh and watery. Aquaman smells refined and elegant. Harmonious and excellent-balanced. Clean, masculine with a wonderful, warm-woody-spicy drydown. Yummy. Amazing long-lasting scent! A must try. Happy sniffing ;-).

  • DUC01/12/2006

Right after Acqua di Gio, Geir and Baldessarini del Mar...........the best aquatic-type fragrance for men out there. Sporty, sexy and sophisticated with its spices and woods.

  • N2DBLU12/11/2005

Different than most aquatics out there with cool hints of spice and refreshing woody notes. Next to Baldessarini del Mar and Givenchy Blue Label, the best modern aquatic out there.

  • JEFF11/18/2005

If I want to smell like water, I'll go swimming. I purchased Aquaman because it smells great and doesn't really remind me of an aquatic adventure at all. It does have a kind of ozonic, spicy hint to it. Very unique and not overly exposed as some water scents previously mentioned. Plus the blue liquid in the cool bottle looks really sharp on my shelf. Its a keeper.

  • GRAMMATON CLERIC11/07/2005

..........but overall as an aquatic and a cologne in general, it's rather outstanding and a change of pace.

  • SPACE PILGRIM10/25/2005

Absolutely THE BEST aquatic mens' fragrance out there right next to the new Givenchy Blue Label and Baldessarini del Mar.

  • STEVE YOUNG09/30/2005

To hell with Cool Water Deep and the CW Frozen Fragrance, I'm going with this bad boy! Meet the new generation of Aquatic!

  • MARCO TESTAVERDE09/08/2005

A far different approach for being an aquatic. The addition of grapefruit and cardamom give this a nice spicy kick and separate it from the overly worn Cool Water and Acqua di Gio. ROCK ON, ROCHAS!!

  • M.R.08/01/2005

Finally, a break from Cool Water and Acqua di Gio! Keep it coming Rochas!

  • TONY T07/29/2005

great true aquatic/marine scents.. ok i might be exaggarating a bit but, give pierre cardin a try.. i know it is old school (1971) but hey you asked for it and there it is

  • TONY T07/22/2005

all you oriental fragrance lovers don't like this one.. i must say this is a hot fragrance while sweet it is still masculine unlike some oriental scents (allure) just to name one. this is a keeper guys and the longevity of this scent is great also.. eventual purchase for this guy

  • EXPERT07/03/2005

This can be a difficult one to find in some stores, but an all fragrance store had it and after smelling 50 some odd colognes this one was the most addicting. Nice ingrediants, which makes a spicy, oceanic scent. It's one of the best I've ever used and I can't get enough of it.

  • WATER FLOWER06/29/2005

Yeah, is not an aquatic fragance... but its really great ! go for "Z" E. Zegna... an amazing, fresh, a masculine complex and sensual smell

  • ADRIAN06/25/2005

it is not aqua, smells like a piece of and old tree simmered in whisky!, not bad but not great.

  • TONY T06/11/2005

also carolina herrera has a new aqua fragrance and also check out the kenneth cole reaction board

  • TONY T06/11/2005

try 360 red while not quite a marine people say it smells like acqua but i beg to differ. also cerruti image isn't bad even though more fresh than aqua.

  • MARIO JUSTINIANI05/23/2005

Very Good and unsual scent. Excellent by ordinary standards, so I guess it's just average for a Rochas :) There is one problem: What aqua? If you're expecting a marine scent, you'll have to look elsewhere. Hmm... er middle of a forest by a pond? Well if there's a tiger nearby I guess that would be eau savage by C. Dior-make it a calm pond. Yes this does bear an 'ozonic' touch like Lanvin's Oxygen, which is quite good as well, provided you can pull off the lavender/ gardenia combo. You probably can. Neither of these are effeminate by any standard. Rochas is less flowery and not, repeat NOT overly sweet. Go for it. And if you can reccomend a marine (other than acqua de gio--which is worn by everyone and his cousin ) would you be so kind as to suggest one? Please?

  • ALLURE03/31/2005

I RECENTLY PURCHASED AQUAMAN IN COZUMEL. IT IS AN EXCELLENT SCENT, VERY UNIQUE, BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO LAST AS LONG AS I WOULD LIKE...IF IT LASTS, BUY IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT.

  • CHRIS COLOGNE03/11/2005

This is a mch more subdued aquatic fragrance. Just a touch of some kind of fruit. No sourness found in acqua di dio. Great for the summer. The bottle is really cool as well. But of course thats 3xpected from a ROCHAS fragrance. ;)

  • ICEPACK02/02/2005

There are alot of aquatic colognes out there that could be great but are very weak. Issey Misayke is extremly nice and this colonge is just as good. I have a mini of this I got off ebay and want to get the bottle. It's amazing.

  • A.J.10/08/2004

This is a fresh scent that reaches perfection. I'm getting tired of those called aquatic, fresh, and sporty fragrances that lack of a true backbone. Auqaman breaks such trend. It has a fresh scent with a twist of spices. I'd never thought that an aquatic fragrance could blend well with spiciness. Just to let you all know, all Rochas fragrances are developed by Cosmopolitan Cosmetics. The same designer house of Gucci, Dunhill, and Mont Blanc.

  • TIM08/15/2004

great refreshing colonge. Tough to find so just purchase it here or somewhere else on the net. It's nicest scent you can possibly smell. Last pretty long too.

  • ROB H.05/06/2004

Been looking for an aquatic scent that's not too commonly worn (Cool Water) that I won't have to drop (Samourai by Alain Delon) from my collection. With a dash of spice, Rochas knows how to do it. Good job!

  • RONCO04/21/2004

Skippy, "It's discontinued" is the last refuge of unknowledgable vendors. Aquaman is still very much in production. In fact, in its long and impressive history Rochas has never discontinued any of their men's perfumes.

  • SKIPPY04/10/2004

After hearing so many good things about this cologne, I tried searching for it. One place finally said, "it's been discontinued." The man went in the back and GAVE me a tester bottle. He said they can't sell them because they are discontinued and they will be throwing them in the garbage. It's not my favorite but is good.

  • TONI FINISH01/28/2004

Maybe this one keeps walking in the shadow of a Man, but it´s not bad scent at all. And of course it´s different from Man also...Fresh, quite well balanced spicy uplifter, yet not very sensual or special. Good- Nothing more or less.

  • JERRY01/05/2004

mabey very nice isn't good enough to describe this great cologne. It's been a long time since I've smelled something so powerful and yet so good. I remember there was a time years ago when colognes were better quality and this reminds me of that. Try it to belive it.

  • RAY12/13/2003

Aquaman is my favorite colonge. It's so refreshing and spicy. It's super great quality unlike alot of colognes that wear off quickly, this seems to last a very very long time. I have to go to a certian store to find this cause it's hard to get unless you get it online. Look no further if you want a great freakin colonge.

  • SVEN11/28/2003

I loved this scent when I first got it, but recently I've noticed that it can become too sickly.. smells a bit like l'eau d'issey but not as fresh

  • MARIUSZ-K09/23/2003

Don`t miss this scent! Veeery good... Bottle also beautifull. No risk!

  • BRIAN08/22/2003

I got a mini of this to try it out. I love eucalyptus . Reminds me of when I used to live in California with the eucalyptus trees. This cologne is exactly like it's decription: sparkling and refreshing. It's a nice cross of a "nature" type scent with the green smell along with a slight marine/aquatic yet spicy low note. A very interesting choice of grapefruit to enhance it. This is a total joy to wear and would recomend this easily. One of the best smelling colonges I've ever tried and now I'm eager to try Rochas Man. Unfortunatly there is not a mini avaible of that one but there is of Aquaman.

  • CONNOISSEUR05/21/2003

Aquaman is my new favorite green fragrance. A nice mixture of greens and fresh aqua. I usually don't care for green scents but I love this one.

  • KEV04/27/2003

Nice fragrance. Won't give you a headache. Bit sweet but ladies like that

  • IRUSSIAN03/22/2003

Hi Robin. Here are my two cents: I think Aqaman can be compared to Oxygene for men. They could be cousins if not brothers. They are both fresh, airy ozonic fragrances. Very very contemporary, like it or not. However, the Oxygene is dominated by a lavender note (I think), and maybe a hint of snandlawood or leather while Aquaman has a warmer peppery or maybe eucaliptus tone. And there is a hint of sweetness, just a touch. I am not a expert nose, just a cologne nut with no training in perfume arts so I am speaking of my impressions rather than an exact chemical composiotion. I have a tester and here are the components from the lable: Top notes: grapefruit, eucaliptus, cypress. Heart: coriander seed, geranium leaves, clary sage. Base: cedarwood, cardamon, amber wood. Hope this helps. If you are curios to try I'd look for a tester, they are way cheaper than regular boxed stuff. And I do not think Rochas sells in stores; I've never come across it anywhere. But a 100ml tester would be under $30 online. Good luck

  • MAURICIO03/21/2003

Hello Robin, you are right, everybody wears coolwater(even in Colombia, my coutry). If you like fresh-summer colognes Aquaman is for you. As all Rochas fragances, smell different and people will ask you about what are you wearing. This cologne is a mix between freshness and elegance, and I recomend it for day time and office wear. This is one of my favorytes ( like 212 on ice, Baldessarini, Gucci Envy and Casran ), and I´m sure that you will enjoy this one. Excuse me for my bad english. Bye

  • ROBIN JONES03/13/2003

Hi, after having looked for Rochas Aquaman in several stores I'm a bit disappointed not to have found it... The way it's being advertised and the way the bottle looks it seems to me as if it's a very sporty fragrance. I don't want to order it online without having smelt it really, but if you guys can assure me it's good... To all of you out there: Cool Water is definitely overused by the male population, but (or even that's why) I'm looking for something similar. Is there anything that you could recommend, folks? I'm still hoping that Aquaman is the one. Thanx for replies. Robin

  • MNM01/20/2003

  • GUITBOY01/12/2003

It's been three days for me! that new fragrance is absolutely magic and it works great with women!

  • MAURICIO08/27/2002

As Rochas Man, this is a different but excelent perfume, it's a mix of freshness and elegance.Good for office

  • STEVE08/10/2002

i totally agree w/ josh- rochas is a fragrance house w/ lots of prestige... rochas man is wonderful in my opinion... this one seemed so common and ordinary.. not bad, but not their usual signature either...

  • TRAV04/24/2002

I ordered this online - I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I certainly is not a bad scent. It's slightly aquatic, but it's too "green" for my taste. Doesn't last either. The Rochas web-site hypes this up so much I thought I had to try it. Not bad, but not great.

  • TABOOO04/09/2002

This is an excellent everyday frsh, clean elegant fragrance.

  • MARIUS8204/08/2002

    Excellent for spring summer.Fresh, elegant.

  • JOSH03/21/2002

I was very disappointed with Aquaman. I love Rochas scents, but Acquaman is hard to even FIND a fragrance. I really don't "get" it. Josh

  • MARC01/06/2002

Highly recommended. Farily new, still not that easy to find.
