If any chance for GLORIA EDT from Cacharell to come back on market, i will by very happy. No other perfume can replace GLORIA!

  • GLORYBE02/27/2009

If you love and miss Gloria, try Liberte, it is beautiful and almost as good but nothing will replace Gloria

  • CELESTE12/30/2008

From Brazil, Hi Valerie, I am sympathetic with your search. I could buy two mini Glorias with this seller. If I had a safer I locked it...No other fragrance can be put in place of Gloria. I began to use because my mother noted that was a good perfume in me, so...

  • VALERIE12/10/2008

From Northern Ireland and this perfume has been discontinued, however my daughter just loves it and it loves her. Hoping to find a bottle somewhere. If anyone has any idea just emial me [email protected] Happy christmas everyone

  • PAZZO01/26/2007

There's a new one out by lancome called - Miracle forever.Notes r Top note : Star Anise, Black Currant Bud, Peony Middle note : Lily-of-the-Valley, Heliotrope, Almond, Mimosa Absolute Base note : Vanilla, Virginia Cedar, Patchouli, Amber, Frankincense. Yum yum.Try it.I fell in love with it on the very first sniff.Definitely going to be my next purchase.

  • LAURINHA01/18/2007

Last weekend I was introduced to a fragrance that looked similar to Gloria - Cinéma, from YSL. I didn't put it in my skin, but I liked it so much, I think I'll buy it in the winter...

  • ALICE01/07/2007

Anyone think that this could be a good smell in place of Gloria. Looking for a vanilla, almond and musky perfume then this is it.

  • DEINNORRA10/20/2006

there is something about this new fragrance that evokes our beloved gloria, i think you should give it a try.

  • S.10/18/2006

thanx sweetie well, the problem is cause these perfumes arent available in europe i take it you're from US right anyways, Gloria rules my heart; sadly...

  • GREEKGIRL08/14/2006

Hi there, found another one with almond , its Castelbajac form Jean Charles Castelbajac, its on this site in a red bottle, it has almond vanilla and musk, give it a go and let me know how you go.

  • S.07/20/2006

yes i've tried it. i've tried every perfume i can that has almond in it but like i said. quality is quality nothing beats Gloria or Flower by Kenzo. so i'm not buying any perfume... Max Mara is cute but you can't forget about what you like best.

  • GREEKGIRL07/18/2006

Hello again, Barbara i have not been able to get hold of Jungle unfortunately, ill have to try and get someone to get it from overseas, whats Hanae Mori like? sounds like a nice one, but ive never seen that one here in Australia either, S. have you tried Burberry Brit, its also a nice almond one, but different from Gloria, See ya, Helen.

  • S.07/09/2006

Oilily perfume (dont know which one) also has almond in it but of course the scent is not something as amazing you'll find in Cacharel or Kenzo

  • BARBARA W07/07/2006

I'm not sure if a previous poster mentioned Hanae Mori, but it also has lovely almond notes in the drydown (the original one, not Haute Couture...they are easy to confuse, as they are packaged in the same bottle).

  • S.06/20/2006

Hi Helen i'm afraid there will never be a perfume like Gloria it has to be love at first sight not a substitue

  • GREEKGIRL06/18/2006

Hi there, i share your sadness in losing Goria, such a unique fragrance but unfortunately ive never tried another like Gloria (and i have a lot of perfumes) i hate it when i fall in love with a perfume and it is discontinued, but if i ever come across one that it similar i will post here and let you know, see you later. P.S. if you find one let me know bye for now, Helen.

  • S.06/15/2006

i've tried every every possible perfume there is and nothing can ever beat Gloria. Not a chance. It's so sad, I've searched for every single perfume there is with almond and so on and nothing compares to Gloria.

  • S.06/15/2006

you're absolutely correct. what's the deal with these guys? they discontinue that most adorable fragrance ever. It proves the majority of people lack the taste in fine things anyway...

  • S.06/13/2006

Hi darlin' what's the deal with Bulgarian rose how is it different from the ordinary rose i agree with u

  • GREEKGIRL06/12/2006

I recently fell in love with this fragrance after purchasing a mini on sale, but am very saddened after reading here that it is discontinued, why do they discontinue the best fragrances, im just so very sad that im not going to enjoy this beautiful scent for much longer, i have never smelt another like it, it is unique, ive only seen it in one pharmacy here where i am, so ill have to stock up on their remaining bottles. im still so very sad to lose such a beautiful fragrance, Id give it 10* if i could.

  • YORDANKA06/10/2006

yay for the Bulgarian Rose :) All the perfumes with it are good :) Plus the Bulgarian Rose Oil by itself is awesome.

  • DESDEKID05/24/2006

try champs elysees by guerlain. itts not similar but it has almond wood notes and its a very classy feminine perfume

  • S.04/14/2006

ok i just want to know...does anyone know why they have discontinued it, it's so sad what's the reason

  • S.04/02/2006

thanks but the problem is i can't try it, so if i buy it, i may not like it, right... anyways, do you know why they have even discontinued such a brilliant fragrance it makes me so sad, i don't like any other

  • PAZZO04/01/2006

They r not american perfumes. But they r available online at this site or any other perfume site if they r not available in europe.Hope this helps.

  • S.03/25/2006

Hi girls! Where do you get all these perfumes? Are they an American brand? I see none of them in Europe, unforunately.

  • LAURA03/24/2006

This fragrance is AMAZING!!!!!!!! right know I have about 20 ragrances at home, but I have never loved any of them the way I love GLORIA!!!!! I feel so feminine and sexy when wering it, it is just fabulous and I highly recomend it! :))) but I have heard it will be discontinued soon, do you know anything about this rumor?

  • LAURINHA03/10/2006

Does anyone know the new fragrance from Loewe, Esencia Femme? It's not similar to Gloria, but it's excellent in its own way. I think that who likes different and sweet - but not too strong - fragrances will love this one. Any comments?

  • PAZZO02/28/2006

Another almond fragrance which is hard to find and relatively unknown is castelbajac which u will find here.

  • MAYA02/23/2006

Hi there and thank you so so so much for writing back on this topic that's always a hot one for me! Just love that almond in my fragrances... Unfortunately, still have not added Innocent to my collection... but soon... Ohhhh but MY QUEEN well you must be reading my mind! I am so intrigued by that one I just know I will love it. That is going to be my next one, I just know it. Don't you just love that bottle? Have you tried it yet? I look forward to it so much... by the way thank you for the tip to Kenzo Flower as well... Thank you Pazzo!!!

  • PAZZO02/14/2006

There's another scent with almond notes in it called -My Queen, by alexander mcqueen. It's not yet offered on P.E.,but u can find it elsewhere. The notes r - Sweet Almond, Violet, Orange Blossom Absolute, Heliotrope, White Musk, Cedar, Patchouli, Iris, Vanilla.I'm thinking this will be loved by hypnotic poison's fans as well as it has almond and vanilla in it.

  • PAZZO02/12/2006

Also try flower by kenzo le perfume. That has almond in it's notes, it is a soft floriental. It gets good reviews.

  • PAZZO02/12/2006

Thanks for u'r comparison between Bvlgari black and black cashmere. I'm going to get Bvlgari black for my next perfume based on u'r suggestion. I know i will love it just as much as i love black cashmere, but since i also love the very powdery sensi and musky emporio armani, i'm sure i won't be disappointed at all.Thanx again. Always try to read u'r posting on any perfume first.Hope u get the angel innocent.Happy sniffings.

  • MAYA02/07/2006

Hi there :) Thank you so much for your suggestions. You know, I really wasn't too crazy about the original Angel that much either, but Angel Innocent is fantastic!!! I went out and sampled it again since your recommendation, and was simply enamored by it - I think that perhaps I'll have to splurge on it VERY SOON! Hypnotic Poison however, is already one of my favorites too... so you've got me pretty much figured out :) I also saw that you were inquiring about the comparison between one of your favorite: Donna Karen's Black Cashmere and one of my favorites (I have to admit to having many many many LOL) Bvlgari Black... I'm actually wearing Black right not and find it a lot smoother and less spicy then Black Cashmere. And to quote NOSE: it's really "not as smoky as black cashmere...(and it actually is) more musky (and more powdery too)... (It is pretty) subtle (in comparison with Black Cashmere as well but it most certainly is very...) sexy! Happy sniffing to you too darling!

  • PAZZO02/03/2006

I haven't used gloria ever , but i love hypnotic poison and one scent with almond note in it that i absolutely love is angel innocent. Give it a try if possible.I was surprised as i expected it to be something like angel, but it was much better, angel i don't like at all.But this one was heavenly specially the dry down.I cld really smell the nutty almond notes in the drydown. So, try it and may be u will be surprised too.Happy sniffings from US.

  • MAYA01/16/2006

Hello there! I was wondering since you too love the almond... which Salvatore Ferragamo scent is it that you are reffering to? And in fact does it at all remind you of Gloria? I am really trying to get Gloria but it's getting to be just about impossible... Many thanks, Maya

  • KRISTIN M.01/09/2006

Oh there is also hypnotic poison by Christian Dior it has a very nice almondy note in it. I like it a lot.

  • KRISTIN M.01/09/2006

I got Gloria about 2 months ago and I love it! Delicious! I also love almond scents in general. Another perfume that I like with almond is Salvatore Ferragamo.

  • S.11/17/2005

Hi, Maya, thank you for suggesting. It does have the almond scent but I don't like it. I guess I'll just have to go for Flower. Also, I thought Bvlgari's Mamas and Petits or something like that is cute. However, the scent is again extremely gentle. Well, it's meant for babies, so...but it's beautiful, kind of sweet, powdery and warm. Not aggressive at all.

  • MAYA11/16/2005

Actually, Burberry Brit has a very distinct almond scent in it... S try that one and perhaps it might work well enough :) Best wishes, Maya

  • S.11/15/2005

Hi! Thank you. Maybe I'll like it. I love almond scents. Can you think of any other perfumes with almond blossom scents? Thanks.

  • MAYA11/15/2005

Hi there, I truly appreciate you having taken the time to write about Gloria. What an amazing scent! But I do agree about 'Just Cavalli', I do like that one too. However, just to let you know that one has already been discontinued too! I have no idea why they insist on discontinuing all my favorites... Just Cavalli is not Gloria, but is still a great scent, as for Sensi, that one I'm a bit confused about. There was a fire alarm drill at work a few months back, and there was a girl who works in a different department walking down the stairs in front of me. Oh she smelled so good, then when I asked her what she was wearing she thought about it and said Sensi. But when I sampled Sensi that same day, of course I had too ;), it smelled nothing like what she was wearing. Perhaps I'll give it another try and this time spray on my skin as opposed to the card. Once again, thanks LAURINHA, and complements on your good taste :)

  • DESDEKID11/13/2005

Try Les Belles de Nina Ricci - Almond Amour (it's has a blue bottle with a green cap). It's sweet, young and sexy. I am a Gloria fan too, but I like this one even better ;)

  • S.11/11/2005

Hi, Laurinha, thank you for suggesting...I just don't like any other scent. I've been trying so hard to find a replacement but I can't. I miss Gloria so much I feel like I'm telling a love story. No other perfume beats it for me. I just want Gloria back. I only like Flower by Kenzo but it's a too gentle fragrance like I said. Thank you, though... S.

  • LAURINHA11/10/2005

I love Gloria too, and I'm so sad because I can't find it anywhere. I went to France and didn't find, in my country, it's very expensive. I've got 2 suggestions, 2 good fragrances that are in the same olfative family of Gloria: Sensi (Armani) and the new Just Cavalli (Roberto Cavalli). I think they both are similar to Gloria, what do you think? Do you have any other suggestion?

  • S.11/06/2005

Yes, I will, I promise. But there is nothing like it. I've tried the new Valentino and Hypnose. They do smell sweet, like vanilla, but not like almonds in Gloria. Flower by Kenzo is the only one with the beautiful almond scent but it's a way too gentle. Hypnose is too sweet, no almond fragrance and the same goes for Valentino. I don't like too much vanilla. So...there is no replacement, I fear...I wish I could just ask them why they're doing this. I don't get it. It's the most beautiful fragrance they've got. What's the logic behind it??

  • MAYA11/04/2005

I know what you mean. Nothing compares I have to agree. I've tried so many fragrances out there and there really is nothing like it on the market. I too like Flower, but there is just something missing for me. Of course you can order Gloria still here on Emporium or try e-Bay, but that is all I can suggest for now. I will continue to search and hopefully find a replacement, that is more readily available, although I sincerely doubt that would happen... In case I find one that smells and wears anything like Gloria, I will post it here for you. Please do the same in case you run into anything worthy ;) Maya

  • S.11/03/2005

Maya, thanks for the answer... I am so sad, I can't believe one fragrance can affect me like this. I went to the store today, looking for something I would like as much as I like Gloria. I've found absolutely nothing. I love Flower by Kenzo but that's a poor consolation 'cause it has a poor staying power. Gloria would last for hours. What about the net? Will we be able to buy it online in the future? This is so depressing, why are they even doing this? This is the best perfume ever. No other Cacharel fragrance comes anywhere close to it. Why is this even happening?

  • MAYA11/02/2005

From what I hear, and this is the case both here in Canada and while on a trip to Portugal last summer, Gloria has already been discontinued. It was just about impossible to find it and when I did the price was outrageous. The scent is so beautiful however, that it was so hard to resist spending a lot of cash for it, (and that I did), but I have to say that it was totally worth it. Especially since now more and more it is getting harder and harder to find...But like you say, in the near future our beloved Gloria will be most likely gone for good, much like Boudoir and Venezia now are... Sad, sad, sad.... Also to add to that, Chacarel's Amor Amor too is a limited thing so if you like that one, do stock up, since it is in abundance now... But not for much longer of course :(

  • S.10/31/2005

Hi girls! I am desperate. I love Gloria but I worry they might discontinue it at some point in the future? 'Cause I can't find it in the stores in Europe no more. What do you think? This should never happen but I worry it may. Any ideas?

  • DEE10/11/2005

This is the nicest perfume i've ever owned. I get comments all the time and because not a lot of people have heard of it it makes it even more special.

  • *MAYA*09/22/2005

A seductively, unforgettable elixir, Gloria is a scent you could truly enjoy... Gloria is so delicious in a combination of warm woody oriental flavors mixed with soft, subtle and seductive white floral scents. A totally provocative fragrance made for a woman like me :) One of a kind and very sadly, very hard to find! The bottle too is very pretty!

  • DEINNORRA05/12/2004

despite not being into sweet fragrances i think i like this one. too much vanilla makes me sick and I even like some green notes. this is the first time i think of buying such a perfume (I've been using CK Truth for a long time) . I hope I won't find it too sweet for me after a while

  • GERRY03/17/2004

I use EDT and it lasts and lasts...

  • AMANDINE03/03/2004

I don't understand the comments about Gloria not lasting long. This stuff is quite a strong and tenacious. It stays on all day and even the next day I can smell some. Are you buying eau de toilette? Eau de parfum is more concentrated. P.S. Never buy a fragrance based on other people's opinions, go to a store and try it on to see if you like it and how it works with your chemistry. Good luck.

  • KARINA01/03/2004

Gloria is a typical Cacharel fragrance. It's sweet and warm. Great for winter! It makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. It's like having a sweet cloud all around you. Try it - you might find you next favorite in this one.

  • MAGDA12/03/2003

warm, sweet - but with a slight touch of bitterness - and sexy. good enough to eat.

  • TONI10/11/2003

I am so happy to have found GLORIA- I've been looking for a scent like this for awhile-tried many high end fragrances but I think I'll settle with Gloria for now--It has the sweet roses-vanilla-cherry-amaretto-floral-almond-smoky scent to it-Hard to describe! As with any fragrance-it all needs to be tested as all fragrances develop differently on your body based on your chemistry-GLoria meshed well with mine--Its awesome- a perfect scent for the fall & winter-my hubby likes it & thinks its "cute smelling"...I want the B/L

  • LIVI09/11/2003

As someone said - pretty flat scent. I used to like Anais Anais when I was very young - that was a huge sucess of Cacharel, but Gloria is a cheap and uninteresting fragrance.

  • VIOLETTA09/07/2003

I love vanilla and almonds but I find this scent too strong for me. The middle notes are somewhat sharp (the amaretto with something else) and the base is very sweet but as I said: too strong. Makes you feel like a sugared almond.

  • PERFUME JUNKIE05/10/2003

I bought this based on the comments I read here, though I don't usually do that. I like it well enough. Unfortunately, it has no staying power on me. None. Pity. It semlls nice. :(

  • HISAKO05/02/2003

I ordered mini after reading what make up this fragrance and people's comments on it. It does not smell at all like what I expected..almond, vanilla and Italian almond liqur. Only I can smell is strong powerly scent and everthing else smells just flat. It was just wasting money.

  • MOLLY04/20/2003

Please tell me where I can find the Gloria lotion or body creams. I think I will need to layer this, as the scent does not seem to last for me, but can't find other products to layer. Kathy, where did you find the lotion? Ideas anyone?

  • KAREN01/23/2003

This parfum is made for people who like the almonds and vanilla. Is great and long lasting.

  • GLORIA01/08/2003

Was in Paris in June, saw the billboards, was drawn by the name, bought it, loved it! Lingers, softly, lots of compliments.

  • SPONGEBOB12/02/2002

At first subtle sexy soft, develops into very sweet annoying persistent scent. Does not wash off or fade. I was nauseous after a couple of hours and wanted to escape this scent. Smells like something the girls would drown in back in the 80'S

  • JULIE12/01/2002

Has to be one of the nicest perfumes, very different. My favourites have been Samsara, Indecence, JPG, Wish and this beats them all. The body lotion is excellent also, stays on for hours.

  • JASMINE10/24/2002

A light oriental, sweet, but not as sweet as many orientals such as Wish. Citrus and cedarwood give it freshness and depth. The drydown is soft, fresh and sexy. Good staying power without being too heavy.

  • ORSI10/09/2002

It's one of the best fragrances out this season - sweet-oriental-exotic-woody and yet fresh-flowery-feminine at the same time. Also, doesn't resemble to any perfume I know which is hardly ever the case nowadays, when new (but already boring) perfumes come and go.

  • LIZZY10/02/2002

One of the best perfumes i've tried for a long time

  • MELH09/15/2002

Nice, very nice! A little bit strong and sweet maybe, but it fades out after a while

  • STELLA09/12/2002

    too sweet for me

  • KIRSTY07/08/2002

An absolutely delightful perfume. Vanilla and ameretto, just lovely.

  • MAI05/19/2002

I instantly took a liking to this scent. I think it came out in just the right time, cause i haven't smelled a good oriental sice Coco Madmoiselle, of which I'm a tired now. Only this is perhaps more lively. And caramely. It's good. It's warm.
