I have been using this perfume since it came out, its my all time fave but alas! It is no longer available, was told it is no longer being produced. The search for it led me here, and i can see its the same story, sigh.........

  • MARGUERITE 12/12/2010

I have been using this scent since it came out. Originally, you could find it in stores like Macys. Then it went to the internet. I love it so much. It's all I wear. Very frustrated that the company lets their stock go so low that its unavailable--again. Happened aboput 2 yrs ago. Hello--its Xmas time . Cannot email the company, cannot call. Very poor Public relations. Not sure how it stays above water. If anyone knows whats going, on, please post that message.

  • NOEL04/30/2010

Boudoir has become my signature scent. It doesn't work with everyone's chemistry but that is good because it remains more unique to me. I get compliments daily. A wonderful scent sexy and spicy. Brava!

  • MARY K. 12/09/2009

I think this is a very sexy scent, but very potent! Be careful in applying...don't overdo it, and it will reward you with it's sultry scent!

  • AUDE09/09/2008

I recently tested a sample of Boudoir and despite being worried about how it would smell (due to some of the reviews I read on this board) I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if it is my chemistry, but this perfume smells quite lovely on me. I've been trying it over several days and allowing it to fully develop and fade through the day and it smells very beautiful. I didn't notice any offensive notes upon the drydown. Just a soft, powdery confection. I went ahead and purchased a 1.7 EDP and I feel it has been worth the try. It's very strong and really lasts so, all you need is a light spritz. I'm very happy with my Boudoir.

  • SUSANNA05/03/2008

Boudoir is the worst smelling stuff ever. Smells like two sweaty bodies that need showers... clean clothes and breath mints. Awful stench. Pass....

  • GREEKGIRL02/26/2008

I also find on drydown this frag is very similar to Escada (red box) and Red by Giorgio, sort of in between the two, so if you like this you might like those as well, and also has some similarities to Gucci edp.

  • KATE09/25/2007

This is the worst fragrance I have ever encountered. Truly horrific and headache inducing. It gave my gag reflex a high five.

  • GREEKGIRL07/31/2007

Very sexy potion indeed, love it, also fans of this might also like Sicily by D&G as they are in the same frag family love them both, so does hubby!

  • LIANI04/27/2007

This is such a LOVELY fragrance !!! but I cannot wear it on my skin because it goes on too strong, lasting very long and heavy all the while, instead of drying down. So I "wear" it by spritzing on my clothes. My husband commented that the closet always smells so great so I used it to scent the bed linens and room. We both think it is a relaxing, spicy-sexy type of fragrance and I have come to enjoy it very much without actually wearing it on me. Now I use it almost exclusively as a home scent. Since it's so heavy it lasts even better than the products I bought that were designed for that. Now my boudoir actually has its own signature fragrance: Boudoir!

  • GLORY03/30/2007

The last time I wore Boudoir was to an Xmas party and I drank way to much (I was thirsty) and ended up quite... ahem... ill. For a year whenever I got a whiff of Boudoir it brought back such sick memories. I let it sit on my vanity for ages and have only been able to again wear it. It's such a cool, funky scent and one of the best bottles in the business. Waving to Viv.

  • MARIA01/22/2007

I can't seem to find this anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • TAMMY11/09/2005

There's a perfume board I frequent & we were discussing Boudoir yesterday. One of the members emailed VivienneWestwood.com and she posted the company's answer as to whether or not Boudoir has been discontinued. The email stated that the Boudoir fragrance is still in production, however, the side products such as lotion, dusting powder, etc. are no longer being produced. It was also mentioned that Boudoir is no longer being carried in department stores, but could be found online. I've had a hard time finding it in-stock online and when an e-tailer does carry it, it's outrageously expensive. FYI for the Libertine fans out there, the email did state that Libertine has definitely been discontinued. Sorry guys.

  • LEEDIA09/08/2005

TO MARGUERITE; YES BOUDOIR IS BE DISCONTINUED HERE IN THE USA. SOME OF THE LITTLE PERFUME STORES ON THE MALLS CARRY THE EDP BUT I'VE BEEN BUYING IT ON E-BAY, SINCE JULY I'VE GOTTEN THE PURE PERFUME AND A BODY CREAM AT GREAT PRICES. THERE IS ALSO A PURE PERFUME ROLL-ON PEN, IT'S GREAT FOR TRAVEL (I HAVE 5 OF THEM SO FAR). AND I CAN TELL YOU WHERE TO GET THEM IF YOU WANT. GOT TO E-BAY AND STOCK UP ON ANYTHING YOU CAN FIND BECAUSE THE PRICE IS REALLY GOING UP. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO GET THE ROLL-ON PENS.

  • DIANE08/08/2005

If you love this, you might also love Eau de Parfum from Gucci. They are both in a similar direction for me. Both totally sexy.

  • TOY 08/06/2005

" In my own private place, my 'boudoir', I leave the world behind-and find myself. In that intimate moment, there is no-one else but me-the woman I am and the woman I choose to be."

  • MARGUERITE 08/02/2005

I love this product--and yes I cannot no longer get it. I have written to Westwood in the UK but no answer--so I wrote again. Is this anyway to run a business?? Sadly, it appears all internet sites are out of it of Boudiour--and when you ask them what's going on they claim the product is discontinued. Westwood--please say it ain't so--

  • TARA07/30/2005

This is the sexiest perfume I have ever tried. Really! I have tons of perfumes, but none of them are so sexy as this. There is something sort of woody or earthy in it which smells totally sexy. This is surely not a light, fresh scent. It is base elemental, sensuality. Wow.

  • REGINA07/27/2005

Is anyone else having a hard time finding this perfume, including lotion, bath balm, dusting powder? I hope this perfume is not being discontinued? any news - please share...

  • LYNDA07/14/2005

Vivienne Westwood knew exactly why she put the name "Boudoir" on this bottle. The layering effect is eminently suited for that particular room. Most definitely a secret weapon. This is not cookie-cutter perfume; this is art-Bette Davis material. Strong, feminine and uniquely beautiful. You are not "wearing perfume" with this fragrance. You are an artisan. I salute you, Vivienne Westwood.

  • SHARA03/22/2005

I've got to say this one is a male head turner, compliment getter and very sexy. I choose not to wear it to work. Thats because I work in a male prison and the sound of one of them saying "oh god that perfume" made me think my safety might be in question. Men do seem to like it and I love it. Not for the timid or girly its a fragrance for a woman who is pleased to be a woman and not afraid to show it.

  • SONJA02/13/2005

Ladies, if there is a man's attention you are trying to catch, wear boudoir! I have women following me around to ask what I am wearing. Men love it! It's very sensual and sexy. If you dont have the body powder you have to get that too.

  • MAX01/20/2005

I would suggest don't overdo it or maybe sweet is,nt everbodies thing. I love this absolutley gorgeous. :)

  • LIZZY01/06/2005

Ever since I smelled this fragance the first time, I was hooked. It is sooooo feminine and I have never received as many compliments as I do when I wear Boudoir. I am so glad I found it here. I think it gets better and better as the day goes on...excellent scent!

  • KAREN S.11/05/2004

I can't ignore the honey notes that are overpowering and cloying otherwise this might be a nice scent -Perhaps it reacts differently on other people?

  • WANDA JACKSON09/22/2004

I love this fragrance in all forms (perfume, lotion and body cream). I have been looking for the body lotion for a long time. Very happy to find it on Perfume Emporium. thank you.

  • PAULETTE09/13/2004

Am looking for the body cream not the velvet lotion can you tell me if I can get it again. I love it with the fragrance. I was told all the time I smell good and what do I have on

  • PIA07/11/2004

Here we go again t is almost time for me to wear this fragrance again. I promised my husband to wear this for him once a year onour anniversary in august. He loves it, wish I could too. I do take the occasional sniff from the bottle out of curiosity as i am drawn to it occasionally. I have this big beautiful bottle of it hopefully someday i will grow to enjoy it as much as he does!

  • CYNTHIA E.06/29/2004

I just received my first bottle of Boudoir and I am in love! It is like a drug that has me totally intoxicated. And I thought I was Addicted to Dior Addict ( of course I am) but there is something very spell binding about Boudoir. Sweet, spicy, soft and magical. But that's just me!

  • JILL06/27/2004

I happen to love VW's fashions and while in Paris decided to bring home the Boudoir fragrance to the US and try it on some of the unsophisticated Americans I know. Seems they loved it - a large surprise to me cause I am a smoker and am surprised it was detectable on me which is a great plus for me. Most fragrances don't linger on me -even fragrance oils - but this one does. I would recommend should you want to feel even sexier than usual. Just a real yummy scent!!!!!

  • TALULA06/20/2004

Perfect balance between sweet and sexy! You will not smell like a bowl of peonies, like most woman. This scent is different. It is cotton candy melting over a FLAME!!!!!!! Men like candy!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BARB06/05/2004

Oh my God! This is just wonderfull. My Husband just loves it.It is such a quailty perfume. Not like so many out there that last 15 minutes. It softens to such a warm, aromatic scent from body warmth. Just fabulous. I am not a perfume expert so I can't tell you about "notes" or anything. I just know it is wonderfull and everyone around me just floats with the wonderfull scent. I just love it!

  • ROBIN05/11/2004

DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.THIS IS THE BEST! I AM WOMEN HEAR ME ROAR.I GET COMPLIMENTS EVERY DAY. I HAVE TOTAL STRANGERS ASKING ME:WHAT IS THAT YOU ARE WEARING.WHERE CAN I GET IT. MY HUSBAND LOVES IT. HE SAYS I CAN'TSEEM TO FORGET YOU YOUR BOUDOIR STAYS WHEN YOUR GONE.

  • JENNIE05/03/2004

i always get compliments when i wear this scent, everyone asking what it is!

  • CODEBLUE04/10/2004

Boudoir just doesn't click with me. A ho-hum, unremarkable scent that's way too loud. Glad I only got a sample of it. My husband hates it. Me too.

  • MAYRA03/31/2004

The drydown smells like one of those fragrances whose trend started in the 70s like Scoundrel, Ivoire, Lauren, Valentino and especially the more recent Envy. It's got that minty green thing going which bores me. It's also way too sweet.

  • PIA03/30/2004

I have a love hate relatioship with this fragrance. Once a year I yearn to wear it because my husband gave it to me for our 20th wedding anniversary . I can only wear it at home because it is just too much for anyone to smell, a tad offensive. Love the bottle though.

  • LAJUAN03/12/2004

This fascinating scent has been my signature fragrance for three years. I discovered it in Boston. Not for the timid or faint of heart. I wear it evening and day. People are always asking me what it is and where they can get it. It's fabulous.

  • JENNIFER03/01/2004

Boudoir is a beautiful, ultra feminine fragrance. The trick is not to douse yourself in it! One small spray on my wrist and cleveage, and I will be set for the next 12+ hours- I'm not kidding! I also only wear this in the evening, it is too heavy for me during the day, just my personal opinion. I have never regretted purchasing this! :^)

  • ~TIGER02/22/2004

Absolutely wonderful fragrance. This one will forvever remain in my top 5 list, but I do not believe it is a scent for every female out there. It is a powerful scent that requires the right sort of woman to pull it off. A fragrance for a woman who is self-confident, self-assured, and very, very aware of who she is - and what she wants from life. The timid need not apply. ~Tiger

  • COUSCOUS02/16/2004

This one separates the women from the girls. It is not a scent that children can appreciate. Intense, floral, seductive, ripe, steamy, juicy with an undercurrent of sex. One drop of the eau de parfum will scent you and intrigue others. Too much of it could possibly clear a room.

  • ZELJKA01/26/2004

I usualy like this kind of unusual perfumes, but boudoir is too heavy and it stays on for hours and hours.

  • ANNIE01/13/2004

I just received my bottle and it is wonderful. I think this scent can be worn during the day if not overdone. It is different from everything else out there! I'm very happy that I ordered this one. Highly recommended!

  • WOMAN12/25/2003

it might sound arrogant, but i believe i have the bottom line on boudoir ;) first the disclaimer: it is not for everyone. yes, some people hate it (wearers not by-standers) and the worst comments about boudoir are that it smells "old lady" and "like body odor." if you like light scents, it's not for you. if you like simple & fresh, it's not for you. if you like standard, definitely not for you. i think boudoir is perfect for the woman who is all of these - elegant, sensual, smoky, enigmatic, classy, cultured, soft, feminine. is this you??

  • CARA12/25/2003

one reviewer claimed design by paul sebastian and boudoir are similar. i know both very well; my mother wore design for a decade and i've used boudoir for 4 years. i really see no connection except they both smell great!

  • SARAH12/09/2003

The intrigue of perfume is that what we smell is a mixture of product and body chemistry. Boudoir worked perfectly with my chemistry, which is somewhat cool and doesn't hold fragrance that well. Never more compliments on any fragrance - from men of all ages - I'm 55 - and a lot of them wanted to know what the name of the scent was so they could purchase it for their woman. Ultra feminine, sensuous, soft, warm florals. Boudoir is 1, Carolina Herarra 212 is 2nd and Jones New York 3rd...because they work for me.

  • REGINA11/25/2003

This scent is me! sexy, classy, confident and a tad more expensive. I hesitate sharing the name with anyone who asks what I'm wearing - I like being the only one in the room who doesn't smell like the department store sale that week. and MEN even ask what I'm wearing. I've worn this now for 2years and can't imagine not having it available for years to come. Kudos to Vivianne Westwood!

  • FRANCESCA11/08/2003

I have worn this fragrance for the past three years, and am inclined to agree that it is not suitable for everyone. Those ladies who have such a strong dislike of it should perhaps stick to the far safer Diors and Kleins etc, personally I like to stand apart from the crowd. A scent is merely an extention of a womans personality, not a replacement for it. Yes, men have dropped to their knees when I've worn this fragrance, and I have jokingly referred to Boudoir as my lethal weapon, refusing to let other women into the secret of my candy store scent. But I'd like to think my popularity was for something other than a few dollars worth of perfume!

  • DENISE10/11/2003

Design by Paul Sebastian. VERY VERY VERY identical. Only Design is was invented much earlier - and although they smell so alike, Boudoir is much more expensive than Design. I also posted this on the Design page. I dont understand why no one else has noticed this as well.

  • LENA09/27/2003

I bought this parfum in july, I had it on a couples of times and I didnt like it very much. It was something about it it was clouing perhaps.Well ladies, I put it on again in september and wow what a fragance, perhaps it must be a little colder too enjou this pafum,I had many complemnts of this beatyful extra ordinary parfum.I say try it!

  • JULIA09/10/2003

This is the most perfect perfume i have ever had, but the problem is that i can't find it anywhere. I looked in all the perfume stores, in airports but i have never seen any of Vivienne Westwood's perfumes.

  • LISA08/20/2003

This oh so feminine scent,is Stunning.Men have actually followed me around to ask what perfume I have on.It is very unique. It is complex so if you like simple fragrances this is not for you.I am not a floral fan ,but adore this very unique, sweet, smokey, sexy, sophticated, scent. One of the most feminine scents I have seen in years. It's not something for the workplace, but great for nightime. will never be without it in my scent wardrobe.

  • SHEILA07/29/2003

I love Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir. It has a lasting scent and a little goes a long ways. It is a heavy, sexy scent. I always make sure I wear on romantic dinner dates with my husband. He loves the smell of it as well...

  • SHANNON07/29/2003

I am a 23 year old single lady in a very big city. I fell in love with Boudoir the first time I encountered it. But I was reluctant to buy it because if the perfume doesn't work with your body chemistry you will get the "old lady smell" or any of the other comments I read. This is the only perfume I have worn for almost 3 years and I hope the only one I will EVER wear. It fits my personality & lifestyle perfectly. I do not walk out the door without it. "Sexy" "Mysterious" "Beautiful" are just some of the always positive comments I get on it.

  • BARBARA07/08/2003

I still can't make up my mind about Boudoir. The scent kept changing on me for the first couple of hours, and then it just clung. And it's definitely NOT something for a hot, humid day. Still, there are things I kind of like about it. I think I'll put it away until around Christmas, and try again.

  • KAT07/02/2003

makes me feel comfy in my skin... my favorite evening scent

  • MARY06/15/2003

After wearing this really terrible scent that lasted through 3 showers, I had a migraine that lasted for 3 days (no joke)!

  • LP06/13/2003

If you are planning to seduce someone wear this !!!!! Very provocative and alluring while being soft and sensual

  • PL06/12/2003

I know there is an animal scent in it so maybe that's why men like it

  • MISSKATE05/27/2003

This is the most gorgeous fragrance in the world. It's a warm, sensual, lingering fragrance; very sexy. It's deep and velvety. It's strong, but not at all acrid or cloying. I am madly in love with this scent! Men do go crazy for this stuff, they positively SWOON. I've never gotten more compliments in my life.

  • LEEDIA05/22/2003

Boudoir is wonderful and very sexy, I get more compliments from men than women when I wear it which is almost all the time. Just today I was told 5 times how nice I smell by 5 different men. I'm the receptionist at a car dealership so I'm right up front and with people coming and going all day around my desk when the wind shifts it picks up my scent and the comment usually aren't far behind. Many times I've walked into the shop where my Sig. Other works and by the time I walk halfway through the store the guys in the back room came out saying "Leedia's here, I smell her good smelling perfume. And you're right, you won't find everybody wearing it because most women don't feel their worth it but you and I know better. In fact Most people choke when they find out what it cost Because you know about layering, treat yourself to the body cream and the prefume. The body cream is concentrated so you only use a little, use it from the waist up because the more you perspire the more you can smell the boudoir. Put a dab of perfume on the wrist and behind the ears then finish with a light spritz of eau da perfume. I use the lotion from the waist down unless it's a special night then it's the bodycream all over. Don't waste your money on the eau du toliett, it mostly alcohol and it don't last. Pass it on. Leedia

  • LEEDIA05/22/2003

I have found Boudoir to be my calling card. I have been wearing it for almost 3 years now and all I get are compliments about how good it smells, never once an old lady remark. You have to remember that all of our body chemical make up is different and everbody can't wear this scent. I honesty wear this just about everyday and still get nothing but praises from it. It wears very long and quiet. I don't smell it after I've put it on but 4-8 hours later other people do and comment how nice it is. Of all my prefumes it is my favorite. My 2nd choice is a scent call Jivago 24K, again nothing but compliments.

  • JIM05/06/2003

I have to agree with the few who said this perfume reminds you of older women. My girlfriend has this perfume, and I think its good for certain occasions but not a every day perfume. ----Thats my 2 cents, Thanks

  • KATHY G.04/15/2003

If Boudoir is an "old lady" smell to you, I'm curious as to what are your favorite fragrances. We all have different tastes, so when posting a negative review of a scent, it is helpful to also state what perfumes you *do* like so readers will know where you're coming from. :)

  • KAREN04/10/2003

I was expecting ALOT, but just ended up with "old lady smell."

  • PEB03/24/2003

I tried it yesterday, wore it all day and out to dinner with my husband and I swear all the guys were looking, I think they were attracted to the sexy smell. Now I have to see if my husband notices!!!

  • KATHY G.03/20/2003

Yes, you really should try it on your own skin. You may or may not like it on you, but at least you'll know for sure. I absolutely love Boudoir, but I can see how some people might not. It's a very different fragrance, imo.

  • PEB 03/20/2003

I tried this scent again last night and it really lasted thru the night!!!I just sprayed one spritz on my wrist and then I went to the gym , came home and it was still on!!!

  • PEB03/19/2003

Does this scent last all day or has to be reapplied?

  • PEB03/17/2003

Im thinking of trying this one again on my skin. I tried it in the store on paper and it was not appealing.

  • MARTHA02/14/2003

This is the best body powder ever! It has a little shimmer and the scent is fantastic. The jar is beautiful, so is the brush. A+++

  • MARYMAGS02/12/2003

I am going to sound a little nuts, but it reminds me of a womans natural musk. I like this very much, its very arousing and intoxicating. I would not wear this in public and if I had a daughter, she would not wear this untill she was married for 30 years with grandchildren. Boudoir indeed. It makes me blush and I am not a woman who blushes.

  • KATHY G.02/07/2003

I've had a chance to wear my Boudoir a few more times, and I am getting addicted to it! I just ordered the body lotion so I can layer the fragrance. I'd love to get the powder, too, but it's pretty expensive, even on line ( $50+). For anyone who isn't familiar with Boudoir, it's *not* a light, breezy, fruity, teen queen floral fragrance. Boudoir is complex and sexy, but not heavy or musty, imo. It stays on well. If you see it somewhere, try some on. I wouldn't recomend buying this fragrance before trying it. It's not for everyone, but I'm glad it's for me. :)

  • KATHY G.01/30/2003

I bought a bottle of Boudoir a couple of days go. I had to exchange something at Nordstrom's, so I decided to get myself another fragrance as my exchange item. I wanted a fragrance that we don't have at Filene's. The Boudoir is different than the ones I usually like ( Angel, Burberry, Herve Leger, Magic). It smells warm and floral on me, but not like most floral scents, because I'm not a fan of florals. My boyfriend likes the Boudoir, too. I don't find it overly sweet. It has a complex, delicious smelling dry down. The saleswoman at Nordstroms said that she wears Boudoir a lot, and it's one of her favorites. That's quite a recommendation when you consider how many fragrances she can choose from! ( I actually bought the Roberto Cavalli before settling on the Boudoir. I sprayed my arm with it, then bought the bottle. However, I didn't like this one after all. The scent was too sharp and strident for me, and the dry down didn't change my mind. I returned the unopened bottle on my break, and then got the Boudoir. Much better choice for me. :) ) Boudoir is definitely a woman's scent, not one of those little girl uncomplicated, light, crisp florals. Boudoir is very sexy, enticing, and feminine. The more I smell it, the more I like it!

  • TIGRUSHKA01/02/2003

Boudoir was not at all what I expected, it has been labeled as something supersexy, but on me it smells fresh and clean and soapy like some Bronnley bath product! The orange flower note (maybe also the viburnum) is the domineering one, but I can smell roses, too. Boudoir makes me feel like I just hopped out of the tub!

  • IANA12/20/2002

Boudoir smells sooooo good. Its sweet but not too sweet. Its provocative but not trashy. Its absolutely delicious on the skin. And it makes me feel confident sexy and beautiful. This really is a masterpiece. Just try it.

  • LYNN12/19/2002

I think what Nahni is trying to say is that on some women this is a fragrance that will really get a man's attention in a provacative sort of way. Married women aren't out on the prowl-they already have someone at home so (hopefully) they aren't trying to get attention from other men.

  • STEPHANIE12/17/2002

I am pleasantly surprised at how Boudoir smells on me. I was glad I took a chance with this one and actually wore it on skin a few times before passing judgment. When sniffed directly from the bottle I found it annoying, but when worn I found it very nice. I especially like the opening viburnum note; this is not very common and was a surprise. This fragrance smelled good on me throughout the day. I would absolutely recommend that anyone considering this fragrance try it on before deciding it's no good. I'm glad I did!

I have never worn this perfume but I have sampled it before. I love perfume and always come to this site for comments on any fragrance I am curious about and to also add my comments from time to time. My question is on the comment you made that someone had referred to this perfume as a "single ladies" fragrance. I have never heard that comment before to describe a fragrance. Explain what that means, what makes a fragrance a "single ladies" fragrance. Give me some examples of other fragrances that might be considered in that category. Anyone else who reads this, please feel free to give your comments as well. Thanks.

    This one is truly horrible!

  • MAXINE11/24/2002

Cloyingingly sweet, heavy, strong. Not for me.

  • JASMINE11/22/2002

It's original, but not to my taste. It's herbal and sweet (two smells not often associated) and also smells like dried flowers. The overall effect is like walking in the scented candle section of a department store where all types of scents mingle.

  • NAHNI10/18/2002

Boudoir is lovely from the start, and mellows to a nice sweet smell. I get compliments from EVERYONE on how ladylike it is. I don't agree that this is an older or single lady's perfume... I'm 23 and married and it suits me fine! I'd also recommend Libertine, it's almost like a more sophisticated version of Boudoir.

  • J. WILL10/17/2002

Don't understand the comments which say it is too heavy. On me it calms down very quickly even if I wear the lotion and bathe in the gel. My husband really likes it and I guess that is what is most important but I too enjoy it and find that after 15 minutes it is not heavy on me at all. I find myself wanting to apply more often. I work at a high end retail store selling fragrances so I have a lot of opportunity to try new scents. This is one of the best I have tried.

An affinity with BOIDOIR reflects the classy and feminine side of a true lady. I've even gotten compliments from both men and women (even while standing on line at the movies). There are more sutle ways of expressing one's dislike to a certain scent but the trashy comments posted here are just a reflection of bad taste and vulgarity. My compliments to Vivienne Westwood.

  • DG09/19/2002

no way, girls!!! it is cloying - can't be worse!!!

  • CLAIRE09/13/2002

I agree with Marie, at first this perfume smells great but wait a minute, then it smells like ... well, I won't say it but it's pretty risque

  • COLEEN08/28/2002

THIS IS THE FIRST PERFUME THAT STAYS ON ALL DAY! THE BODY POWDER IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS PINK LOOSE POWDER WITH GLITTER. IF YOU APPLY THE LOTION AND THEN PUT ON THE POWDER IT GIVES YOU THIS SUBTLE SHEER SHINE THAT GLITTERS AND SMELLS ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG THAT YOU DON'T EVEN NEED THE SPRAY. TRUST ME IF YOU CAN ONLY PURCHASE 1 ITEM ALL YEAR....GET THE POWDER. ALSO, IF YOU CAN FIND THE DEODERANT IT IS UNREAL AS WELL. IT IS NOT LIKE OTHER FRAGRANCE DEODERANTS, IT IS AN ALL OVER BODY DEODERANT. THINK OF IT AS A LIGHTER FRAGRANCE OF THE SPRAY, MAYBE FOR THE DAY.

  • MAGGIE08/06/2002

this is a sophiscated scent with so many undertones...the scent changes as it remains on your skin - seems to start out a little more flowery then becomes subdued and a little musky...totally wonderful...have had many compliments...

  • H.08/02/2002

I understand the differences of opinion regarding Boudoir. I sampled it and it lasted all day. It dried down very soft and pretty on me. I bought it, and I wear it once in a while. Have not gotten a compliment yet, but I will. Someone will like it.

  • APRIL07/24/2002

I have worn this for over a year and wgerever I go people always comment on how wonderful it smells. My husband go nuts when I wear it! I wear it day and a bit more at night. It is NOT sweet at all. In fact I think it smells seductive. I think every scent smells differently on different people. Well on me this works!

  • JACKIE NYC06/24/2002

The name suggests it, and yes this is definitely a perfume for the Girl on the Prowl. It's very suugestive, and while it's sweet, it's not at all innocent. I think this is a Big Girl's perfume, for the 28 and up crowd. It strikes me as very French, even though the maker's not French. Don't wear it the first time you meet your guy's mom and dad. DO wear it on Friday night to your favorite martini bar.

  • SABRINA04/14/2002

I love this perfume and because it keeped me coming to the store again and again i bought it. Now unofrtunately i NEVER wear it. It is just to much, it intoxicates! But still, i love it.

  • MARIE04/13/2002

    Beautiful beginning - skunky drydown

  • TERESITA03/16/2002

I only smelled this scent thru a promo in the mail and it smelled good. But, after smelling it at the store I have to edit my previous post and state that this scent is the worst I have ever smelled!

  • LINDSEY 03/11/2002

Boudoir is way too dry and makes me depressed. It would be good for someone in her 50s or 60s. Westwood's newest fragrance, Libertine, is awful. It's so feminine it gives me a headache. I imagine an old granmother who smokes when I smell this. Don't ask me why.

  • AMBER03/01/2002

This is one of my alltime favourite smells that I will keep on buying! It is warm, sexy, smooth and, yes, it is very strong. You only have to use a little bit of it to keep on smelling all day long. I keep getting compliments when I wear this one, and men seem to like it very much. I also tried the body lotion and that is wonderful as well. Libertine is one of my favourite summer scents. It has the same warm touch in it as Boudoir has, but it is more citrusy and fresh. Also tried the body lotion of this one and liked it very much as well.

  • SDABAJ02/24/2002

I would like to write and support the Author who is 'offended for those who like Boudoir' and say that I totally agree with her or him. Perfume comments, I believe, should be as artistic as the products ment to be. We wear perfume to feel special and thus should be the comments regardless of the likes or the dislikes of the people wearing it. If you do not like it just say so without making rude comments. I usually try to purchase a perfume after reading these comments and always disregard a perfume if the comments of the wearer is rude for I do not favour sharing a similar like with such a personality.

  • VIVIEN02/11/2002

Love the gorgeous bottle. Hate the content.

  • JUDITH01/24/2002

I love the scent of Boudoir. Especially when I wear it to bed!

  • PATRICIA WHO LIKES BOUDOIR12/08/2001

I'm sorry you don't like Boudoir. Hope you didn't spend to much on it. Just out of curiosity: what do you wear?

  • FREE12/03/2001

there's nothing wrong with pee you or any other comments that describe the scent, thats why this is a message board, so everyone can speak their opinion.

  • PATRICIA WHO DOESN'T LIKE BOUDOIR12/03/2001

There's Patricia who said she loved this fragrance. My name is Patricia, too, and I must say I can't stand this perfume. It is heavy, and it's smell is unbearable to me - make me sick. The same is with Libertine. Maybe V. Westwood use some special components for her fragrances that make them so terribly heavy and cloying on my skin???!!!

  • OFFENDED FOR THOSE WHO LIKE BOUDOIR11/30/2001

Some of the comments that people write on this site are so trashy! I believe in freedom of speech just like the next person, but the rude people who write things like "Pee yuuu!", "Poo", "Gross", "stinky boudoir" are just being abusive! If you're going to post a comment, at least write an intelligent one! I don't like the way Boudoir smells either, but there are nicer, more tasteful and intelligent ways to express your opinions! Besides, fragrances smell differently on everyone. I'm sure Boudoir is wonderful on certain people.

  • PATRICIA11/28/2001

Love it! Very sheer, soft and sexy. Smells like a perfume should. Libertine is wonderful, too, but it doesn't last as long.

  • JASMINE10/15/2001

I love this fragrance! I have had many compliments. You have to be careful with the amount. I leaves a warm smell that lasts throughout the day.

  • KARINA10/07/2001

Vivienne Westwood makes the most beautiful and original clothes in the world, but it doesn't seem like she knew what she was doing with her perfumes...neither Boudoir nor Libertine appealed to me. Boudoir is overly sweet, and Libertine is just plain bad smelling- I can't even think how to describe it! I was so looking forward to these scents when they came out, but I was disappointed in both of them. They're not the worst things out there, but I wouldn't recommmend them, either.

  • DEB10/01/2001

i AGREE I TRIED LIBERTINE IT STINKS

  • WG09/30/2001

Boudoir is awful but wait to see the new V.Westwood fragrance LIBERTINE. Oh, my God, I almost needed hospital after I tried this!OH, MY GOD, OH MY GOOD, GOD HELP US, it's AWFUL! I can't believe it!!!

  • PAM09/25/2001

You have to be a special kind of lady to wear this. I have read some of the other comments and if you can not wear it you are putting on to much, it only takes a little and it goes along way. The lotion is also wonderful.

  • VIKI09/17/2001

    It's disgusting, heavy and awful!

  • IRENE09/15/2001

the top note reminds me of White Shoulders

  • TERESITA08/24/2001

If you want to smell like a woman who owns a million dollars, try boudoir, it is in a class by itsself.

  • CATARINA08/21/2001

I bought this fragrance because I thought I could handle it, but after chasing everyone at work and in class away from me because of my super-sweet and strong scent, I stopped wearing it. That was almost a year ago. Nowadays, whenever I look at that pretty bottle and dare to take an occasional sniff, I can't understand what possessed me to buy it.

  • STEPHK08/14/2001

Love this fragrance! Sweet and sexy...guys will go crazy!

  • CASSIE06/11/2001

This is one of the most disgusting perfumes I have ever smelled. It was so sweet it made me sick. I finally got my mom to get rid of it, because I would not be near her when she was wearing it. YUCK!

  • ELISHA05/08/2001

This is one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled. Its soft and sweet and a bit spicy.

  • KATIEKAY03/28/2001

This is a very sexy, spicy scent that dries down to a beautiful powdery finish.

  • BRIANDRA02/01/2001

ALL"S I CAN SAY IS OH MY GOD! You want to knock any man off his feet this is the fragrance for you,Hot ,Spicy and Sexy ,Not for the Timid!
