This fragrance smelled like a damp & dirty wash rag on me!

I found this Desire cologne at a resale shop and loved the scent so I purchased it. The bottle appears to be an old model. on the bottom it has a label French Fragrances Inc and the cap has Desire, so, I assume it is what I have. It smells wonderful and I received a lot of compliments. I wonder if I have men or womens, one person told me I smelled like I had on men's cologne. HMM?

this stuff totally smells like hot by benetton...hot is a whole lot cheaper than this one though..i already got hot so anybody want to try desire send me an email i will sell my bottle for $15 thats including shipping got 10 spritz out of it...email me at [email protected]

Luv this perfume. Ma sis nd i got given a bottle from a friend but ive used it all up cuz its so great! However i r4eally wanted to buy ma sis anothr bottle to make up for it but cudnt find it n e weher! Im so glad that ive found this website! Im gonna buy it for ma sis's 18th. My fave perfume and NEVER LET IT BECOME DICONTINUED. cheers

my absoloute favorite perfume. i bought it first probably 5 years ago now. i didnt even wear perfume then, but i had a coupon for a free perfume. I LOVE DESIRE. seriously. i smell it out of the bottle it smells so good, and only found this website bc of my extreme paranoia that it may one day be discontinued.

This fragrance smells a lot like Magnetism by Escada. It may be a little deeper than magnetism. Both are sweet fragrances reminding me of candy apples or carmel popcorn balls with a bit of cinnamon sucker on the top. Ok Candy. This is a sweet red sugar scent that has to be reapplied several times to keep it warm and tempting. Layering with the lotion helps the stay power.

I had never even heard of the perfume before and my dad bought it 4 me at xmas along with my other "usuals".I opened it up,sprayed and can honestly say it was a glorious moment.I have never ever loved a scent so much and everywhere i go i am complimented on it.I think it lasts even though u might not smell how strong it is.i just love it so much.It is very rich and sexy is the best word to describe it.it makes u feel more confident and appealing and in my opinion u cant get much better than that!!!!!!!!!thank u alfred dunhill!!!!!!!!

great smells different.staying power is good too

I didn't really detect any vanilla OR caramel from this. Instead I get a minty/fruity scent! I was really looking forward to the yummy dry down. Hmmm???

I just love the caramel drydown on this one but unfortunately does not last very long, but ill give it 5 stars anyway cos it smells great.

I thought I loved this fragrance. It has a nice fragrance, but it does not last very long. I was desperate to get it. I bought it from a dept store as opposed to a discount outlet. I wish I could get my money back.

Thanx again for u'r suggestion about desire.I really love it.It's sweet, but not cloying.I like amor amor from cacharel too, so this one is perfect for me.Tho that is fruity sweet and this seems floral sweet.Is there really licorice in it?Love the caramel and sandalwood combo in it.Either way it's going to be one of my faves.I have many.Mostly oriental woody kind -like lempicka, angel innocent,black cashmere,etc.By the way did u try amber nude?Is it wow or what?What r u'r faves?

I love Desire. I've been wearing it exclusively for about 3 years. I never get tired of the sweet clean smell and get lots of compliments from men.

Desire for women, as is the Red one for men, is just amazing! I love the warmth in this fragrance. I love the way it opens up with rich sensuality, followed by the middle notes which are wonderfully enticing and creamy. The dry down is enchanting with warmth that follows from the beginning to the end. I find that Desire is long-lasting and prefer to wear it on cooler days, (like today). I just can't get enough of its rich flavorful clouds of desire following behind me... like little red and pink clouds filled with hearts, passion and DESIRE. Desire is deep and very sensual, perfect for romantic wear. But I will wear it any time I feel like it; it's a fragrance that is suitable for any age - I'm 30. There is a creamy-caramelly scent in it that men love and women alway ask about. I would say that it's one of those yummy scents like Pink Sugar without the sharp burnt sugar note. I do love Pink Sugar too, but Desire is smoother and like I said creamier. I rate it a 5* scent only because I cannot give it a 10 :) Oh I also forgot to mention that this is definitely a fragrance that oozes confidence and bold/adventurous-femininity (not a shy-girl fragrance)... you wear this because you love being seen and heard :) Perfect too, because there is just something about DESIRE that makes people look-up and notice you; want to be near you and around you :) You wear DESIRE because you are the type of a woman who loves to laugh out-loud, you're playful and happy. That is what I think of DESIRE!

I would rate this better if it lasted on me, or smelled more potent to begin with! Otherwise, the scent is very nice indeed. Quite interesting comosition. The sprayer on my bottle is kind of sloppy though; goes everywhere when you spray it. Bad bottle?

I've bought many frangrances that I like but this is the only one I love. I feel very sexy whenever I wear it and have gotten positive comments from strangers. Powerful stuff!

This is one ofthe best fragrance that I have try recently it is very warm fresh and sweet like a candy! Let's be realistic guys dont like girls smelling like grandma's so go for the sweet scent it's definetly a man magnet! trust me. I've got so many compliments wearing desire!!! Sensual,exotic and romantic.

caramel sweet at first, then... ugh! Synthetic! not horrible, just... artificial smelling and so-so.

I received a sample and expected hoh-hum, but I really like it. It's a very pretty floral with a "wow" vanilla base. Smells great on. A bit strong, but that's ok, strong is good, you can tone it down. It's harder to make something that's weak, noticeable.

I believe that Desire is a good perfume, but for me i think that's too much sweet. When you put it it's fresh but in a few minutes i'ts too sweet. But i'ts a good fragance that if you like Gloria by Cacharel, or perfumes like this, you'll like this. It's not a bad perfume, only a bit sweet.

Perfume smells really good in the bottle but it smelled okay once I put it on.

I really loved this when I first put it on and then about 2 hours later I smelled like vanilla pudding!! I'm sad cause I thought I had found something I adored.....oh well, I still have my Narciso Rodriguez (my new fave!).

This one was just really boring on me. no way to describe it except dull. Maybe I've got the wrong body chem.

Floral without being sickeningly sweet (rare, I think).

i am an avid lover of sweet/oriental scents and i found desire by accident at a local discount shop! it was in an already opened box,so i took a squirt on my neck and instantly fell in love...it's amazing!

Floral & sweet without being like those cheap drugstore scents.

It must depend on body chemistry...because on me Desire smells very pretty. I really like this one!

SMELLS FANTASTIC! IT SEEMS TO BE MUCH SOFTER THAN THE PARFUME WHICH IS TOO STRONG FOR ME.

Shower gel smells wonderful but for some reason the perfume isn't a pleasant...I don't like the difference!

Liked it in the store, but ended up returning it...not very appealing. A slight offensive odor mixed in there somewhere..

This smells like a bathroom air freshener..sickeningly sweet and just yucky. The mens is just as bad if not worse. Too bad they wasted such a unique and fun bottle on this stuff.

the perfume is sexy in every sense of the word

I bought this scent and the body lotion - loved it at first but it will be a scent you will tire of. I'm glad I'm at the end of it now but I won't miss it. Interesting notes but one I won't be buying again.

This fragrance smells like its more for a man than a woman. It's very musky and woodsy, definitely not a femine fragrance.

Obviously, the 2 who say this smells like "sweaty armpits" don't have the right chemistry to wear it. It smells wonderful on me, and both sexes constantly ask what fragrance I am wearing!

HA, HA! THAT'S HOW GOOD IT SMELLS! I THINK THE VANILLA, CARAMEL, AMBER & MUSK ARE WHAT MAKE IT SMELL WARM AND SENSUAL! FOR A ROMANTIC INTERLUDE THIS IS ONE TO TRY!!
