  • PAMELA03/22/2014

This is a soft, gentle, uplifting fragrance. The dusting powder is easy to use and the scent isn't overpowering so that you may layer it easily with another scent. ...

  • SANDRA HANCOCK07/16/2013

Just as I remembered it. Haven't worn it for more than 20 years and still warm and clean as ever.

  • JOHN HAGY07/08/2013

Still one of my wife's favorites after 41 years !

  • SUZANNE07/31/2012

I've worn Blue Grass for 35 years. I adore it.

  • SHARMON04/04/2012

The first real perfume I ever wore as a teenager,I loved horses and it appealed to me because of the name and bottle. It will always shout "IT'S SUMMER" to me!

  • MAUREEN01/07/2012

I have used and enjoyed Blue Grass products for decades.

  • MARY12/28/2011

Delighted with my purchase, 'specially as it is one of my favorites for over 40 years and at half the price.

  • TERESA04/22/2011

I AM 59 WHEN 12 MY GRANDMOTHER GAVE ME THE POWDER I DIDNT THINK IT WOULD STILL BE AVAILABLE I LOVED IT AND HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN IT

  • HENRIETTA11/29/2008

i am sorry to see that fewer retailers are carrying this product my mother used it and i have continued to use it over the years i get nothing but compliments. when people ask what fragrance it is and where they can purchase it i used to be able to tell them macys, sears or belks. now i dont know what to tell them. i give this fragrance a five star rating

  • DMARIE08/19/2008

I smelled this one yesterday and it was ok. smells like fresh laundry, couldn't see myself wearing this but I think it's an ok fragrance.

  • CHARLOTTE_SOMETIMES07/01/2008

Aquamrine shampoo (Revlon made it)? That's what the scent of Blue Grass reminds me of. Longevity is very good as well.

  • PAT04/03/2008

how do I know the shelf life, I notice it doesn`t smell the same. why do you have to ask for blue grass?

  • QL702/23/2007

Soft, dry scent. Especially love the powder and lotion

  • SEXYKITTEN09/29/2006

this definately has a strange composition...it smells a little like warm, old laundry...sort of like what you would find in someone's basement...I also found I felt a little sick to my stomach after a few minutes...not for me but it may suit a more mature person...the kind of perfume you would wear to church.

  • KATHY09/12/2006

I really like this one. It is clean and smells different than any thing else I own. The only problem with this one is that it doesn't last very long on my skin, but it sure lingers on my blouse tho.

  • AIMEE08/24/2006

I enjoy and respect this fragrance, although I've not worn it in quite a while. In the late 70's I worked part-time in a store while going to college. A very classy woman who worked in the store office wore this fragrance. I knew her by the wafting scent of Blue Grass each time she walked by. I associated it with her class and good taste. She has since passed away due to cancer, but I shall always remember this scent with positive memories of her. I do enjoy wearing it myself and probably should enjoy it more often!

  • *BARBARA W*06/05/2006

My grandmother wore this often when I was a child, and I always thought she smelled beautiful and remember looking at the bottle on her dressing table with fascination...it's where my passion with perfume began. It's not something I would wear personally, but it will always bring back such wonderful memories. :) Sentimental favorite, a classic.

  • DOODS04/23/2006

Ok. I will try my best to be objective in my comment on this product. I finally found one in a local department store and sampled it on my wrist. The smell is very, very similar with the smell of a hospital, clinic, or a day-care center for the aged. It is very antiseptic-like, very "clinical". It reminded me of bed sheets found in the hospital. I respect the opinion of those who love this scent. However, I do not think the fragrance fits my olfactory sense. Tried to like this BUT... =(

  • SHIRLEY04/06/2006

Wonderful scent. I've worn it since it was $8 a bottle. Men I don't know ask me what scent I'm wearing because it turns them on.

  • TERESA02/05/2006

Intensely feminine fragrance. Give it a day or so. Men chase me down to find out what scent I am wearing. Definitely worth a try!

  • ALLISON R.11/11/2005

You definetly have to be ready for this one! One spray on my neck, and I felt like it was chocking me. A spray on the wrist was much better . I tend to wear scents that were recently made so I do have a bias. I have always loved perfumes, but didn't wear them for many years because they all smelled like this one. Sorry for all the fans of this one. It has to be a generation thing, because I couldn't imagine a young adult clocking themselves in this.

  • MS. IDAHO08/12/2005

My mother wore it & so do I. I can't tell you HOW many compliments I get on it from men & women both - all ages. It is ageless. Also my body chemistry seems to turn heavier musky or spicy scents RANK. Blue Grass's fragrance always stays fresh & never mutates into an embarrassment.

  • PERFUME CRAZY04/06/2005

I have worn B.G. since high school and college. It is a fresh, powdery fragrance that stays with you. It is not weak like the new perfumes coming. This one is so different since very few wear it. I'll always have a bottle of Blue Grass!

  • TERRI04/08/2004

I have worn Blue Grass since I was 17. We have been married 30 years and when I wear another fragrance my husband says I don't smell like me. He can actually track me down at the mall by following his nose. Since he usually buys it for me it is a hassle for him to go to the dept. store perfume counter and have to ask for it. Please Elizabeth Arden bring it back up front where it belongs

  • JILL03/08/2004

What have they done to it? It has a bitter note to it now, it seems to me. It used to be so lovely and soft with a fragrance all its own; now it smells like just another of those "green-teas"). They've ruined a beautiful classic. Let's hope the old formula's safe and can be brought back again.

  • BETTY03/05/2004

While scanning the fragrance list, I spotted Blue Grass which I wore years ago. With all the new ones on the market, however, I had forgotten about it. I am thrilled to find it and intend to order it right away! I agree with the other writers, that this is one scent that should be brought back. Although it's been years, I can remember the scent like it was yesterday. I can't wait to get it! Elizabeth Arden...Please market it again!

  • BRENDA02/10/2004

I love Blue Grass. My mom wore it when I was a kid and I remember that wonderful smell. I started wearing it a few years ago, and wish they'd come back with it!

  • ANDREA07/22/2003

I agree with Christine -- Elizabeth Arden needs to start marketing this product again! It should not be kept "under the counter" whenever I go to purchase it. I miss the Blue Grass Tingling Tonic Splash and the hand and body lotion they made. They used to have wonderful gift sets at Christmas time and unique gifts -- pomanders in the shapes of animals with the Blue Grass scent. I remember when I was 16 (I am now 47 and have been using Blue Grass for all these years) -- I received my first Blue Grass item. It was the refillable purse perfume spray (enameled blue and white horse logo) -- you were able to buy refills for it when it was finished. I wish Elizabeth Arden would bring back these items -- I'm sure I would not be the only one buying them! The other scents I wear and LOVE are: Jessica McClintock (always receive lots of compliments on that one); Lauren; and Shalimar. But I have to say that when I wear Blue Grass, it brings back so many delightful memories.

  • CHRISTINE06/23/2003

I loved this scent, especially the body powder an lotion. Elizabeth Arden needs to start marketing this scent again. Forget Red Door!

  • KATHLEEN06/12/2003

A favorite aunt used Blue Grass when I was a child and it brings back such fond memories. I have never used any fragrance that have brought as many compliments as this has and I will continue to use it. I have grown up with it. Wish I could get it locally. It doesn't smell like a nursing home or old people or death as one your previous writers seems to think. It smells like a wonderful country evening breeze.

  • JO05/19/2003

I have used Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass for over 40 years. My favorite was "Flower Mist" eau de Toilette (splash) which was discontinued several years ago. I sure wish Elizabeth Arden would bring it back!! I now use the perfume spray because Blue Grass is my FAVORITE scent.

  • MARIA03/25/2003

They don't make this anymore, unfortunately, so I'll have to settle for the perfume, but it still smells good.

  • LINDA02/09/2003

I used to love this fragrance as a teenager back in the 60's and thought I'd try it again. It's not the same now. It's okay, so I;ll use it, but I miss the softer edge, more moss and less spice. Too bad.

  • KATHY Z12/26/2002

Love Blue Grass. Was recommended to me by a man many years ago. This is the only scent I can wear during the hot humid summer days. So refreshing. Also a unique fragrance. No other perfume smells quite like Blue grass.

  • MZ JAZZ11/02/2002

In fact, it's the worse scent I've ever tried. It actually makes me nauseous. I'll stick with Nude by Bill Blass and Hugo Boss Woman.

  • BRIDGET09/19/2002

The person who said "Blue Grass smells of an old person in a nursing home," has probably never worked in an actual nursing home. The smell is definitly NOT the same. Blue Grass is a clean, wholesome, light smell and it never fails to bring wonderful compliments when I wear it. Maybe she should go back to the dollar store and shop where she can find something she is more knowledgeable about.

  • ANNIE08/24/2002

I was told several years ago that Arden no longer makes the lotion. I have gotten this same response from multiple perfume counters, so I fear it's true. I love this perfume.

  • KAILEY07/29/2002

Ok this is yet another perfume that smells of old age and death. It reminds me of a nursing home and of how all those people in there like to smell gross. I don't know what it is about old people and how they like to smell bad but I tell you what it isn't doing you a favor.

  • GAIL07/18/2002

This fragrance says summer! It is an original, yet Elizabeth Arden does not promote it and instead pushes the "new" lines that are simply copies of others. What a shame.

  • BRIDGET IKERD07/02/2002

I remember having this perfume years ago and remembering how clean it smells. I looked all over and finally found it on your website. Thank you Perfume Emporium

  • PEGGY06/12/2002

I have been wearing this fragrance for years and couldn't be without it! It's the ultimate summer fragrance!

  • BETHANY06/06/2002

I remember this scent as one of the fragrances that my mom wore when I was a little girl. She always smelled so good in this-it's a very "clean" smell; yet still soft and feminine. I'd like to try this one for myself :-)

  • ANNA LOUISE FULKS05/31/2002

Utter femininity. Miss Arden knew exactly what woman was about. I too would like to have this exquisite fragance bottled again with its rearing horses on the frosted bottle. I would also like to have the lotion to layer with my perfume and powder.

  • L.05/27/2002

But "Blue Grass" is definitely worth the hunt! I love this stuff: it has a somewhat sharp overtone (which I have never found anywheres else!) and then the flowers underneath... which makes it rather edgy. This is probably my favorite perfume. I remember this one from when I was very young, too (an aunt of mine had a bottle, and she hated it. She gave it to me because I love horses & it had horses on the bottle...) I do wish they'd package it nowadays in those beautiful frosted-glass bottles with the wreathed rearing horses on them. The modern bottle is kinda boring.

  • TAMMY04/24/2002

Where can I find bluegrass lotion? I like to layer my fragrance, I have the other bluegrass items but cannot find the lotion.

  • LIZ02/26/2002

This rockets me right back to my youth! I still love this fragrance!

  • WINNIE01/27/2002

years ago Bluegrass I used a Bluegrass product that was a spray perfume talc. Can't find it any where. It smelled wonderful and clean! Anyone familiar with it?

  • SATOKO01/21/2002

I can see why many women love it but for me, too much lavendar reminds me of men's aftershave (many have lots of lavendar). Not that all lavendar perfumes are bad...I won't buy this in full size.

  • T12/17/2001

I know where you can buy the big size blue grass perfume for $20 (shipping included). If you interest, please email me at [email protected].

  • STEPHANIE11/25/2001

A light, lovely, classic scent that I find works for practically any occasion! Wearing this always makes me feel fresh. You can also find this in the Beauty Boutique catalog, or amerimark.com for a reasonable price.

  • SHERI BROWN10/30/2001

I have loved Blue Grass since 1973. It is so fresh, clean and pleasant. I hate that I have to go to 3 or 4 stores to find it tucked under the counter...and then they only have one! Please re-release it!

  • T10/26/2001

Thank you very much for your information. I can open it now. :)

  • CLAIRE10/23/2001

The deodorant container I have is the creme, 1.5 oz. The top is the classic Blue Grass blue...I have to pull very hard on the top...no twisting or unscrewing. Also, be careful when you turn the bottom to get the deodorant out...sometimes it takes awhile for it to come up then it squirts out! Hope this helps you. claire

  • T10/23/2001

Do you know how to open the blue grass deodorant?

  • JUDY07/06/2001

My mother wore BlueGrass my whole growing up....needless to say it is still my favorite and everyone comments positively about the fragrance....Glad to see it is still available as is hard to find

  • LINDA05/06/2001

I am 50 years old. there are only 2 purfumes in my entire life. Blue Grass, and L'Air du Temps . And like many other women,, always,, men want to smell me,, and then buy it for their wives.. Rock On !!!!

  • BETTY STANLEY04/14/2001

I too, have been using Blue Grass for years. I use the dusting powder, cologne and deodorant. It is so light, clean and fresh, never heavy or overpowering. Over the years, several men co-educators have asked me the name of the cologne I was wearing. They wanted to get some for their wives. The children at school say they love to get hugs from me "because you smell sooo good". I have tried others but I always come back to Blue Grass.

  • MARY BOGARDUS01/29/2001

I have been using Blue Grass for years! It has a very clean lasting fragarance, The kind you always get asked What are You wearing?
