The special edition Baccarat Guerlains, especially the vintage ones, are extremely rare and valuable. I wish I had the spare cash for the parfum Shalimar as it's the richest concentration - I love the way the vanilla melds into the long lasting amber base. If I could buy this I would, congrats to you if you're able to buy one! It's a rare find and something special to have in your collection.
this fragrance is the exquisite scent ever. I rate it the highest I was introduced to this perfume at the age of 14 and I still use it. Frankly this is the most intriguing,exquisite,sensual,men attracting scent, its like setting a trap for the man you desire unless he can't smell,other than that this scent is the best. It's not for everyone because there are skins that are not compatble with this fragrance. Really I rate this scent the very best
Oh, honestly. I love Shalimar and I acknowledge the excellence of Baccarat crystals. But the combination of the two at that ridiculous price is only meant for extravagant, ostentatious, Manhattan/Beverly Hills trophy wives. $1,000+ for a bottle of perfume? You've got to be kidding me.
I don't know if the perfume is supposed to remain in the bottle to have this be a collectable. Since it was produced around 1995, I wouldn't think the perfume would still be good.

The crystal decanter it's in is handmade Baccarat crystal and they only made maybe 2,00 and they are numbered

The reason this bottle of Shalimar is so much more expensive is because it comes in a huge, limited edition Baccarat crystal flacon. If you went to a Baccarat store, you'd understand the price! But it does seem kind of ridiculous, unless you happen to collect this brand of crystal, I guess.
Can someone explain the exorbitant price of this stuff? Is it that much better than all the others or what?
