Oriental, Sweet, Woody. Created in 1998, based on the passion, warmth, energy and light of the element of fire, Le Feu D'Issey is a modern, sensual fragrance. It is an eruption of contrasting sensations and evokes the ember of fire. Playing on the contrast between strength and gentleness, the formula is willfully short and expressive. Bulgarian rose essence and coriander combine with Japanese lily. The center is radiant with intense notes of gaiac wood and milky amber, which create a captivating and harmonious fragrance.

I cannot believe how horrible this smells on me! It smells like cat pee! My husband even commented on how it smelled like urine more than perfume! I'm sooo glad I only bought a sample vial via ebay...I would have been ticked off if I had invested good money on this stinker!

  • SHAY DANIELS08/09/2007

I'm over the moon i can still buy this perfume on line abroad cos there isn't one shop left in England that sells it as it's been discontinued, this perfume is so unique, i have been wearing it for 9 years, i will buy it when ever i can, everybody i know loves it and all the men i' know go crazy for it and always ask me about it, they all say it reminds them of me, i cannot believe it has been discontinued, there's nothing like it, i hate modern day perfume trends! Bring it back please in all countries!!!

  • KIMMIE04/19/2007

What were they thinking when they discontinued this awesome fragrance? I have smelled and smelled everything looking for something similar - closest Calvin Klein, Euphoria - but still not as good. Please bring it back!

  • RUSSABLANCA02/24/2007

This is a wonderful, very complex scent and I'm so sad they discontinued it. My Mom used 2 have a bottle and I sneaked in her bedroom 2 apply it before going out. Guys and men went crazy for it and all my girlfriends asked me what I was wearing, It's really surprising 2 me that it didn't sell(?), because I don't know anybody who didn't like it.

  • ANGELIQUE05/24/2006

This perfume has the most complex tones. I first came across it when trying to select a perfume for my mother. Upon spraying it intially I hated it, but then it dried down to something interesting. I just couldn't quite figure out whether I liked it or hated it. I decided I liked it (a bad sign when you have to convince yourself that you really do like something). So I bought it. While it doesn't smell entirely unpleasant it's so strong it actually makes me feel quite ill after a while.

  • LALA10/11/2005

I love this perfume...very chic! I got lots of compliments on it. Too bad they've discontinued it. Can anyone recommend andything similar to it?

  • NATALIA10/08/2005

I find it extraordinary!!! Very warming and unusual.. Puts me in relaxed and sensual mood. Too bad it is discontinued, I guess modern tastes are for something plain and flowery.. not for something that stands out.

  • LEE ANN08/21/2005

Ugh... reminds me of Gerber's Baby food. My 1 and 1/2 year old nephew liked it BUT not me. Won't get it again

  • LAURINHA08/04/2005

I can't understand how Issey M., who created the wonderful L'Eau, could launch the worst perfume I've ever smelled! And it's not my skin, I didn't have courage to put it on me, it made me sick. It's like Egoiste - not Egoiste Platinum, that is wonderful! -, the fragrance for man from Channel: both awful!!! Sorry people who like it, but I couldn't stay quiet about this one.

  • BJORK04/21/2005

i love issey and have been complimented on it many times..if you cant wear it something i would suggest that is similar at least in its strength are angel for men, and angel for women, as well as alex mcqueen's new 'kingdom'... any essential oil mixes with cinnamon or clove in it would also rival feu! good luck...

  • JOANNE12/07/2004

Does anyone know whether Le Feu has been discontinued? Seems to be very hard to find and/or sold out. Thank!

  • MOLOKO10/21/2004

i love feu... its strong, but has great lasting power... i wore it when i first met my boyfriend and he jsut loved it... things that i think smell like it and are just as original/controversial are alex mcqueen's kingdom, gucci rush for men (well its still quite musky and smells of sandalwood). feu is so much better tho, it smells so feral... i bought it because it was much less boring than even feu light...

  • IRINA10/17/2004

hmm i dont know perfumes well, only what i like..wow these message boards are kind of scary tho, perfumes i love other ppl just cant stand it seems! i knew feu would be one that u either love or hate... i love it, it smells so feral and very strong, an all day scent... when i first met my boyfriend, he smelled it on me and just loved it! if you like this, i would recommend, gucci rush for men (the only perfume ive ever smelled that really smells like sandalwood burning), and maybe hugo boss, deep red i think...

  • TEAL06/21/2004

I love all of Issey's scents and this one is no exception. If it is too strong, go for the Le Feu Light. Le Feu even feels somewhat hot when you spray it on your skin. :)

  • JULIE04/02/2004

A LIL' PRICES, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. IT'S FAR MORE REASONABLY PRICED THAN ANGEL AND IS JUST AS POTENT AND UNIQUE. THE BODY LOTION IS A TAD HEAVY ON THE COCOA BUTTER SIDE; IT SMELLS JUST LIKE COCOA BUTTER WITH "SOMETHING ELSE ???" LINGERING IN THE UNDERTONES (YUCK)

  • VANESSA12/06/2003

i wear l'eau d'issey and adore it. i've gotten so many compliments on it. i tested le feu today and was shocked at the sharp unpleasant smell. i was hoping for something equally wonderful but couldn't scrub this off fast enough. a sharp, confusing blend of unpleasant NOT sexy smells :(

  • EVA11/20/2003

I absolutely love this fragrance. Once of my favorites along with the gel/lotion.

  • NONI09/13/2003

buy the lotion first.i came up a winner.smells so good.oh by the way ANN great message.

  • ALEX06/24/2003

Iseey Miyake failed this time. This perfume is just horrible, I dont' know what to say. I cannot even judge the smell, but it's just very weird. L'eau D'issey is much, much better...

  • PERFUME JUNKIE05/11/2003

... you're absolutely right. This scent is unique. I love it, too! Not for the pc though. Maybe that's why I like it.

  • JULIA03/11/2003

This is the only fragrance I will wear. It is unique and so beautiful. And it is awesome because it is such the opposite of most flower loving stinky perfumes for women. Men find it very sexy and uniquely me

  • SARA02/02/2003

This perfume is a complete mess - there is something completely wrong in it. Strange, unaluring, very unpleasant smell.

  • AMK02/01/2003

This is definitely a strong, spicy fragrance. I happen to like it. A lot of others don't. This is one of those fragrances that you adore, or absolutely detest.

  • EMMA01/16/2003

  • ERIKA12/05/2002

vitamine B! the best ever done!

  • ROSE D12/02/2002

Le Feu is now my favorite perfume. It's scent is unlike any other.Only those who are not into your usual boring floral fragrences will appreciate this scent.

  • ALEX11/25/2002

Very different fragance. Very modern and extremelly CHIC!

  • SUSAN C.07/01/2002

I learned of Le Feu when I once asked a perfume shop saleswoman what she thought was the worst fragrance they sold. Wow, she was right. The top note isn't bad, but it quickly decays and I can describe it only as the scent of an orange rotting from the inside out. I have tested Le Feu on many friends who have different preferences in perfume, and no one yet has even halfway liked it.

  • DANICA06/27/2002

There is something truly not chic or expensive about this product. It is a very fruity top note with a woody dry-down that smells unsexy. Perfumes I like include Coco by Chanel, L'Artisan Amber, 1000 by Patou, Ce Soir ou Jamais by Annick Goutal, Costume National (so maybe i'm more oriental than floral oriented).

  • TANYA04/30/2002

This is my favorite fragrance, but due to black pepper oil in it (I think so) I'm allergic to it. It's a tragedy :( I'm looking for something more or less similar, but it's too much unique. Any suggestions?

  • DONNA M.03/22/2002

Wonderful warm, peppery scent. Nothing else like it!

  • MAGGIE09/04/2001

Here's another scent as God intended scents to be!:) Unique!

  • JOLENE07/29/2001

    I like L'Feu D'Issey. It's a spicy, woody, warm fragrance.

  • RUBY07/07/2001

this is a nice warm woodsy sexy smell. i think it smells like citrus at first, but it dries down to a sensual woods smell. a friend told me it smelled like spring.

  • JOOPGIRL12/24/2000

    VERY SEXY
