GEEPERS CREEPERS,I HAVE JUST FOUND THIS PRODUCT AT MY AGE,AND IT IS TURNING HEADS(GIRLS) WHERE HAVE I BEEN????

  • DON CORLEONE10/27/2011

I purchased this fragrance and liked it, seems to have good lasting power and decent sillage even though the top notes are pretty strong. I had read about women liking it, but unfortunately my wife wasn't that thrilled, and a female co-worker whose opinion I value told me she was "on the fence" about it based on the fact that the patchouli note was really strong to her nose, and well, she doesn't particularly like patchouli. Hmm... if I couldn't wear it at home, or at work, what could I do? Sadly, I had to return the product.. that doesn't happen too often... oh well. I still give it 4 stars based on the fact that I actually did think it was pleasant.

  • JEEPSRT808/06/2011

Wow, what an ultrasensual chick-pleaser! It's a sweet, buttery & musky woody/vanilla aroma that seems to work it's magic wherever I go and lasts pretty good too. Well worth owning in any man's cologne arsenal.

  • SLIMM06/28/2010

I'll give it a 4/5 based solely on my experience with the scent on paper. I can definitely see why this fragrance is popular with men and women.

  • SAI KRISHNA TEJ REDDY09/21/2009

u have to wait till this scent settles down to appreciate its true value initially its nothing special and too much alcohol give it some time and its smell smooth sexy warm and what not to drive the ladies wild

  • ITALIANISSIMO09/15/2009

This by far one of the best men's colognes available today.

  • AMRO IN FLORIDA09/07/2009

This is an interesting one. When I first smelled it, I thought this is what I have always been looking and waiting for, I even bought the blue one which smelled a bit simillar too, but after a few times of using it, I started disliking it, it was too "colorful" and too strong in the sense of how it smelled, too sweet, too something, it started ging me a headache and made me wanna throw up. Nice cologne though and loved it at first but couldn't like it for too long. I gave them both away..

  • ZIZO05/03/2009

After reading a whole lot of reviews, i decided to buy this cologne which was lying lonely in a perfume shop. Immediately i wore this, i felt this is it. It just makes you an object of desire. The girls at the swimming pool can testify. Excellent

  • PERFUME NEWBIE01/02/2009

Bought this for hubby's Xmas present (one of). Anyway, hold me back, because if I don't eat him alive when he wears the juice, I'm going to steal it and use it myself (just to sniff it). And, I have. One spray on my arm and the smell is masculine, but warm, sexy, lingering, like dark red pomegranate with chilli. Tart or sharp, a tinge of citrus, slightly warm/smooth/sweet (not too sweet though, I can't stand sweet scents on a guy) and smells exactly like its name. DESIRE!!! A 50/50 perfect mix of an avalanche of aqua and deep red, soft, ripe berries. Base note of musk and sweet spice. Everywhere he walks and goes, this scent lingers in small traces and it's pure heaven. So hard to describe and give this magical scent full justice, but suffice it to say this juice encourages a woman to get closer.

  • TRESON12/16/2008

Trust me really bad smell. I have an headache because of heavy scent. save your money trsut me really really baaad

  • SHANA11/26/2008

Can I say Oh my god...this cologne on a man is wonderful just wants to make ya jump him. My husband wears it and I love it on him..and I have noticed when we go to the bar the girls hang around him...its a great cologne I love it.

  • SAM09/01/2008

It reminded me of the womens perfume version of Narciso Rodriguez. It actually smells similar and much stronger. I smelt it on my colleague at work and it really attracted me. In Kuwait we use french perfumes with oud. Oud is a piece of broken tree chips that are burned for a distinct smell and aroma. 10 pieces could reach 1000 dollars. We usually dpray ourselves with the perfume we like, as for me dunhil desire and then allow the oud to fill my clothes and pass it around my neck and hair and rest of body. It is an extraordinary smell that anyone would love, but hey are you prepared to pay 1000 dollars extra to get the smell i get when you use oud :)

  • SCREACH06/29/2008

really long lasting. all time favorite. if soneone is planning to buy it, go 4 it & u'll never repent

  • RJ06/29/2008

Very long lasting, a product on which u'll feel that ur money was well spent. No doubt i'll repeat it.

  • ERIC05/03/2008

I wore this the other day as it sat in my dresser for several years. It is potent and sweet as ever. Almost so sweet that a woman could wear it. I felt that even the 4 sprays that I applied were too much and couldn't wait for the drydown. It's a wonderful scent but for those that say it doesn't last I have to disagree - it truly lasted on me. People were asking what I was wearing 6 hours later and I hadn't reapplied anymore. But the top notes are just SO sweet and I think that's why I stopped wearing it. This is a once in a great while wear for me.

  • DESIRE IS RIGHT04/23/2008

ive used this scent for almost 8 years now and i can say it has givin me many compliments and even sexxx!! thats right guys..

  • SYDNEY04/03/2008

By far my favorite cologne for men. OMG the first time my my bf wore this scent i couldnt keep my hands off him. it drives me insane! its so sophicated and sexy...NO REGRETS GUYS...BUY IT!!!

  • D.01/31/2008

This isn't a lemony scent like Aqua Di Gio, Curve or Issey. It is a very sweet and vanilla type fragrance. The top notes are apple and lime and the fragrance slowly dries down to a subtle vanilla and musk scent. Desire is very much like Chanel's Allure or Hugo Boss not as fruity. If you like very sweet, fruity, vanilla, musk type fragrances, you will like Desire.

  • ARAMIS01/18/2008

is it a lemony cologne? I dont like aqua di gio and curve. So if desire is also lemony, i dont wanna buy it. This cologne cant be found at my country so i dont have a chance for test it. Please say me is it lemont? And please advice me a cologne: I dont like lemony and spicy colognes. I wanna smell nice and elegant. Which cologne for me?

  • J.RIV11/27/2007

When I smelled Desire I was not impressed. But that is just me. See, I have an array of sweet scents from Perry Ellis 360 White to Pi, Iceberg Twice, John Varvatos Orignial, Aprege Pour Homme, Wings to Rochas man and many others. This just does not fit into my collection. But nonetheless it is still an incredible fragrance. It will surely get you compliments just because of the sweetness and, at least on me, the warm drydown. I also had a lady friend test this and she said it was nice. But was nothing super. Oh and David J said he wears Le Male in the summertime. That's hilarious. Go easy on the trigger...

  • DAVID J10/16/2007

When my last bottle of DK Men went dry a few years back, I was suprised to find that my favorite fragrance was no longer available in the signature funky bottle. The salesperson recommended I try Dunhill Desire as a close second. It has a bit more citrus than DK did, which had stronger hints of leather and tobacco. The Dunhill also does not last as long as the DK did. I like Desire as a summertime alternative to DK along with JP Gaultier. With the leaves falling again . . . I wish I had some DK.

  • TINY10/01/2007

I was in an elevator by myself, when a man got on, and as soon as I took an enhale, I started to "tingle" in my special place. I kid you not, I really wanted to just jump him, and grind on him ( to completion ) Anyway, I asked him what he was wearing, and I told him that he smelled edible. He smiled really hard, said thanks, and I got off the elevator. That was the beginning of my love for this scent! Pure Raw Sex!!! Very Sexy to me. Never had a scent truly turn me "on" like like AD does. My top frag for a man. I also love the one by P Diddy ( believe it or not) pretty nice also.

  • LEBM08/14/2007

Because of this cologne my neck is now RED - my lady friend started nuzzling my neck and then she proceeded to mark me - like territory... simply put the smell is intoxicating

  • LEBM08/06/2007

Never seen a girls neck snap back so hard while she was walking with her man - Noticed a few fellas walking closer too - becareful this stuff is powerful...... I recommend for just being out and about.....

  • BARBARA W07/19/2007

Hi Chaz - I think this should be saved for the evening. Overkill during the day, especially if you have a conservative job. But for nighttime, this one is great.

  • DAWN05/18/2007

at it again telling everybody what to purchase as if he's someone's guru. If you saw me sweetheart you would hardly call me ordinary. Those little punk fragrances you wear are more feminine than the perfumes I wear. Do you want to be America's Next Top Model? I won't dwell on you because you and your opinions are like so much invisible wasted air. Smooch to you babe.

  • BARBARA W05/15/2007

This is sexy! Not too much, though - go easy with this one. On the right man this is great stuff!

  • COLOGNE_CRAZY04/03/2007

This will only get you ORDINARY WOMEN LIKE DAWN.Try JPG Le Male, Signature by Kenneth Cole, Santos de Cartier...

  • WB04/02/2007

IT CAN BE BE WORN ANYTIME; DEPENDING UPON HOW MUCH AND WHERE YOU SPRAY ON. DURING THE DAY; NO MORE THAN 3 SPRAYS... OTHERWISE, 5 OR MORE WILL DO. HOWEVER, IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD SAVE IT FOR NIGHTTIME AND ROMANTIC OCCASIONS... TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. TAKE CARE.

  • CHAZ03/26/2007

is this an everyday cologne you wear during the day casually, or is it strictly for the night life scene?

  • GREENTEA02/07/2007

delicious is the first word to describe this and beautiful. It's not your typical clean scent and it's not your typical strong manly scent. It's sweet and sensual and lasts a long time. Another one of those I ones I prefer to wear at night. Highly recomended.

  • VAL COSMO01/17/2007

I like elegant colognes, like Very Valentino, Boss Elements Aqua, even powerful Givenchy Xerious Rouge. But this one only smells like Sweet Pepper. Cheap stuff. I`m sorry.

  • SACHER12/24/2006

Scents to me are an extension of my clothes. I don't wear gym clothes to a dinner party nor do I wear Guccis to a carwash. When Friday night comes around and my lovely and most sexy girlfriend wants to go out...I put on my best jeans, Hugo Boss jacket, and my Cole Haan's and I'm ready. And Dunhill's Desire just seems to be just the perfect touch to my get up. It lasts the night and it fits the mood. And fellas. Use this one for clubbing cuz it won't go bad on you when you get that club smell on your clothes.

  • KAKA2212/21/2006

Not the kind of perfume that would really stand out from a crowd. A closer sniff would conjure up images or masculinity with a very woody slant. The dry down for me becomes something that smells almost candy like. The response from the ladies with this perfume range from "ooo im weak in the knees" to "so-so". But its all about confidence and this one gets the nod for me for that all important first date!

  • PEPP12/18/2006

THIS BOARD REALLY MAKES ME QUESTION SOME OF THE USERS. I GUESS IT HAS TO DO WITH BODY CHEMISTRY. GAVE IT AWAY THE FIRST DAY I HAD IT

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD11/26/2006

I have to agree with you homeboy, Desire is the first impression I got from this. It is a subtle variation of Desire. Not bad at all. I will stick with Desire.

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD11/21/2006

Let me say this. I love fragrances. I claim to have no superior knowledge. One things for sure, I know what I like. There are fragrances that I initially didnt like and now are among my favorites, like Dolce and Gabanna. There are some that I initially liked and no longer am crazy about. One things for sure, Desire is the one fagrance that I intially smelled and I knew it was the one. I didnt get apples of the sweetness. I got more of a "harsh" smell, but I loved it. I couldnt stop smelling myself. I havent had this experience since. Over time, I moved away from orientals. I was on a "green" "kick" for a minute( 212, Paul Smith). I hadnt smelled my Desire for some time. About two days ago I was sniffing thru most of my 37 bottles. Smelling Desire, I thought, "Damn, I have good taste".

  • VONTOS11/16/2006

I love this scent, very manly and seductive. I should mention though that it is on the light side.

  • MAHRAN AMONA10/11/2006

After spraying a lil from a tester in a store... I grabbed one, and without any sec of hesitation, I walked straight to the cash register.

  • DAWN10/01/2006

Yes, you are crazy. Noone cares how long you've acquired fragrances or what you have in your collection. This doesn't smell cheap. It is strong, but most fragrances are if too much is applied. My only thing with it is a lot of men now wear it as opposed to several years ago when you hardly smelled it. As for women, I'm a woman and I like it and clearly, other women here also like it, so how can you speak for women, unless you're a hermaphrodite?

  • COLOGNE_CRAZY09/08/2006

I really cannot understand why many people buy this. I have been collecting colognes for some time now..and this is one of the worst. It smells very cheap, harsh and like someone already mentioned, it does induce a headache. THIS WILL NOT GET YOU ANY WOMEN!!!! IT WILL DRIVE WOMEN AWAY!!! Try Pi fresh by Givenchy, Chrome by Azzaro , BLV, BLV Notte by Bvlgari

  • JACK MORGAN08/04/2006

this cologne is wonderful the lavander taste of it is juss so perfect..the chicks alwayz start 2 sniff and all..thats what i can call a perfume

  • EXPERT06/25/2006

I'd say this is a terrific cologne for nightware and especially romantic encouters...mabey dates too. It's one of the top colognes made reguardless on my top 10 list. Sweet, powerful, long lasting and dependable. The pachoulli accent with the apple really makes an interesting blend creating a burst of dark sweetness.

  • JINGIE04/30/2006

I have very funny skin, nothing seems to last on it, i own Gucci PH, Emporio Night, Rochas man, Chanel Allure, YSL Nu, all of this dissapear within an hour or two. Maybe YSL Kouros stays on my a little longer. But you know what, the funny thing is, Desire Red stays, and the strength remain strong for the whole day. I can not explain this, it smells fresh and fruity but in a very intense way, and yes, the smell is sythetic. But I really like the smell, and it does not smell like other popular fragrances either. Desire Red IMO is better than desire blue, but both of them are very modern scent, scent that you can easily remember and stays in your nose and in you head

  • SELVAN04/29/2006

Have been using for a few months and have been getting good compliments. It last long too.

  • ERMAC04/08/2006

Highly sensual sweet-woody aroma is a true babe-magnet at an affordable price and is definitely in my top ten of my collection.

  • ERIC03/21/2006

There is absolutely nothing light about this fragrance. I've also grown way tired of smelling it. Especially after smelling all the queens from the Halloween parade in the Village drench themselves in it. I don't understand how anyone could find this fragrance light. Light how? Light looking? Draws in light? Certainly not light smelling. When I used to wear this I was careful not to douse myself in it because it is a powerful almost overbearing scent. Is everyones olfactory senses working okay? Light means hard to detect. This fragrance screams out that it's on you and basically if you don't watch out you will overdose with it. Light. That's funny.

  • RX-802/26/2006

A little on the light side but very good aphrodesiac fragrance that the women absolutely go crazy over. Reminds me a little bit of Allure but Dunhill overall is no match for Chanel.

  • ND02/01/2006

last year i went to amsterdam and you know the "coffee shops" there are great! Filled with canopy! Though i am not a canopy addict but i like the smell and find it soothing.(At least better than tabacco) So came back home and was mesmerised with that smell in my head. Sometimes i smell that fragrance on the street and wonder ppl actually take canopy back home here (its illegal here!) Realised its some perfume. So today finally get to know its Dunhill Desire and i bought one and loving it! So is it the smell of the canopy or the fragrance of desire caught me? ot an issue as long as i am enjoying it.

  • ROBERT R.01/31/2006

Im not sure what to think of this fragrance. At first it smells really distinct and fruity. Then after a little while it begins to smell synthetic. I really want to like this cologne but I can't find anything about it that makes me want to wear it. I will most likely sell or trade this 1.7 oz. bottle. However, I like Dunhill's X-Centric much more than Desire Red or Blue.

  • ÁTILA01/21/2006

I love this scent. It´s a really sexy and hot potion for men. Bu I have a doubt about this fragrance: Is it similar to Cuba Orange??? Do they have the same notes????

  • VIC FUMARE01/19/2006

my brother had a bottle of this and the first thing that comes to mind when i smell it is something like a lounge type atmosphere..for a casual guy between 25 and 35

  • COOLIO01/17/2006

Dunhill have done it. A colonge that smell good and last all day long. Women love this cologne. They just cant stop smelling you once you wear this on. But be careful with this colonge. A little bit goes a long way. Put too much and you be suffering with a headache

  • MARINKO01/12/2006

From first glance, the red and silver bottle soothes your eyes with a touch of class, bound to stand out in any man's collection of cologne. This enticing fragrance from Alfred Dunhill will mesmerise everyone around you, intriguing them, drawing them to your aura of sheer excellence. I was first introduced to this fragrance last year, and I had to have it! It was bliss to my nose. I have never found anything that comes as close to heaven as Dunhill Desire and I don't think I ever will. I am very picky with cologne, but have no hesitation in giving the best possible review for Desire. Be sure to add this fragrance of perfection to your own collection. Go on; spoil yourself!

  • MICK F.01/01/2006

This is a very sensuous babe-magnet of a cologne but I think it has too much vanilla and musk which becomes a bit headache-inducing with accidental overspray.

  • RYAN T12/29/2005

I have a bottle of desire. I sprayed it on and the best way for me to describe the scent is it is somewhat like Versace Dreamer accept it has a more candy like scent brought on by citrus notes. This is a cologne I have recieved compliments on, however it is too candy like for my taste. But in all fairness, it does last all day long and it should get you come compliments as it has me. I am going to give it a four star rating.

  • DJ12/28/2005

This thing is freaking so strong that it gives me a headache. Its long lasting but have a dominant floral upper note and base note of tobacco. I didnt like the smell at all and highly recommend you guys to test it before buying it.

  • RMJ12/20/2005

Maybe i was mistake when i said that there was absolutely no similarity to Allure. There may be a tiny bit of similarity to Allure once Desire dries down, but that similarity is for the most part over powered by the overly candy-sweet note that dominates Desire.

  • HANDSOME12/13/2005

im very pleased and happy to have this cologne in my collection just like all the other geat colognes i have.its a special scent in many ways.so yummy that sometimes i wish to eat it lol i cant stop sniffing my t shirt when i apply desire on it or any clothing i wear.basically its best for a formal occasion, a date, a party , or on job.Its perfect for evening bt good in day too.very rich smelling aroma that will turn the head of many including men too.so its my permanent nose catcher from now on.i certainly dont care about the money when im introduced to these classic colognes.so guys go grab one otherwise its too late for u.

  • DIANA12/09/2005

i bought this for my boyfriend and he loved it. the smell is so enticing and sexy...i wish i could use it!

  • MARK P.12/08/2005

It's the best. A little sweet, a little sexy. Women love it. It's definately one of my favorites.

  • RMJ12/06/2005

I'm sorry, but i can't in good conscience give this cologne that good of a rating. To me it just smells like candy (skittles to be exact) and soap perhaps. It doesn't smell bad, but candy is not how i want to smell. To be fair though, i have gotten some compliments on it. Oh yeah, and it doesn't smell at all like allure (which is a real fragrance, not candy).

  • MAYA12/05/2005

Desire is a perfect name for this oh so yummy scent. I love it when he wears this one, I especially love the apple and vanilla notes mixing with lime, neroli and rose. Love nuzzling his neck and inhaling the seductive aroma of his skin... guys this really is an awesome one! It wears long, long after applied, he'll come home from work and he still smells food enough to eat!

  • SENSE12/02/2005

This is one of the best in my growing collection! It has excellent staying power, too - I get a whiff of the lime note every so often along with the subtle sweetness underneath.

  • ERIC11/29/2005

Are we all talking about the same product? Desire is light? When? Maybe if you spray one spray on. It's actually strong and I would say tone it down some and it does last and the drydown is great. If you wish to use it as a car freshener or whatever do what you want but the cologne is definitely not as light as folks here would have you believe. Try it for yourself and don't believe everything you read on this message board.

  • ONG-BAK11/22/2005

Although it's been reviewed nearly a hundred times and is from a popular designer, for some odd reason.............this highly sensual and sweet babe-magnet is STILL a mystery to many women out there.

  • JESSIE11/10/2005

now before you go on reading this entry may I add that I am an avid cologne/perfume collector and Guru... Yes one of those who can take one whiff of you and name exactly what your wearing and even go into detail about the undertones and oils and woods, flowers, et cetera used in the Ingredients. I'm sure you get my drift. So with that said. here is my Professional Opinion on Desire By Dunhill.I'm one of those also that I'll try anything once and especially if it has high ratings to back it up. I smelled this in a magazine along time ago and I remember it smelled so good. Now it may just be me and my body chemistry or just a bad batch of this stuff. But This crap Stinks. I agree with the rotten apples comment posted. It's a mix of rotten apples and cheap dollar store soap.I was surprised on how extremely CHEAP it smells. It's light and somehow manages to be long lasting However the smell is very similar to "Mesmerize" for Men By AVON.... so unless you want to smell like some CHEAP bottle of AVON Cologne I would highly recommend you stay away from this shit. Draw your own conclusion but don't say the GURU didn't warn you.

  • GABI11/08/2005

This scent is fabulous on it's own, let alone on a man with the right chemistry! It's not a young fragrance though and would suit over 30's best.

  • P.T. STOCTOROCTON11/04/2005

Absolutely one of the greatest among aphrodesiac-type fragrances for a man. Total seduction here, gentlemen...........ladies beware!

  • GRAMMATON CLERIC11/01/2005

Probably the most sensual of any mens' fragrance I've smelled and instantly snatched a big bottle the first time I sampled it. My girl gets a bit frustrated whenever I decide to wear it when I'm not around her, oh well. :)

  • TONY T10/24/2005

yes.cuba's version may be a bit lighter but that is the only difference.does joe have a clue, this is easily one of the longer lasting scents on the market.cuba has a copy of jean paul and a calvin klein fragrance

  • JOEUSMC10/13/2005

I'm really surprised, almost all scents that have high ratings and I try, well, they are pretty good. This one doesn't cut the cheese. It's extremely light and I think the problem is that it lacks class and style. Yes it smells pretty good, but it doesn't have that "wham" in it. For all the people who wear it and love it, right on, but this one is gonna be used as my car freshener. Oh ya, someone here said it looked like it was designed by BMW. Well I examined my bottle and saw air bubbles in the metal at the base of the finger pump. No not a BMR, but a Datsun or Kia.

  • J. YORK10/01/2005

This babe-magnet is sparkling with endless sensuality and I thank YOU, Mr. Dunhill.

  • ATILA09/30/2005

I think this scent has the same notes of Cuba Orange (what it´s very cheapper than Dunhill Desire). Am I right?? Please answer me.Bye!

  • YOUNG E09/26/2005

this is definitely the ONE.. Its very elegant, sexy, wonderful and most of all, manly.. Thats all i need to say. It is amazing.

  • EARL09/05/2005

One of my all-time favorites because it smells great, yet it doesn't really smell like something else like so many others. It also stays with you good.

  • SYNERGY08/01/2005

It definitely lives up to its name. Luscious, sensual, sexy, seductive,..............need I say more??

  • SPACE PILGRIM07/21/2005

Oh, how I love it when the women just want to stay close wherever I go whenever I wear this! Truly the best babe-magnet cologne out there among the sensual category. However, Sexual IS a great alternative.

  • ROWLEY07/12/2005

i love DESIRE! now my all time favorite. i read everyones messages here and tried it out. thank god i did. my first time i used it i got serveral compliments from girls. thanks everyone!

  • NEW COLOGNE BOI07/09/2005

is this cologne really good. does it make head turns or gurls saying good stuff. and is it cologne that has the spray type, not the put ur finger on the top while tilting. i hope its the spray one

  • CB07/05/2005

I bought sampled this scent based on the reviews on this website. This quickly moved into one of my top 15 colognes that I own. It is very warm and inviting. I see many people compare this to Allure, but I compare it to Cuba Orange. Those inexpensive cigar shaped colognes are all actually pretty good, with good lasting power. I suggest you try it and compare it to Desire

  • MARCO TESTAVERDE06/25/2005

One of the undisputed kings of babe-magnet scents that kind of reminds me a little bit of Sexual except that this one is a bit more versatile and lasts longer. Sexual is a good alternative, though.

  • BRIAN06/23/2005

I happen to have both in my pantry. If you don't like Rochas Man, then you may or may not like this. It's sweet, and if you can't get past that then you won't like it. But Desire is a clash of different ingrediants that make an unbeliveable addictive, sexy, aromic hot scent opposed to Rochas where it is more steady and basic. I still say both are good, but this is better

  • ARIS06/03/2005

is it similar to ROCHAS MAN _??? i hate it,. sickening smell ! everybody tells that is awesome,.. and its the worst smell in the world ! i hope DESIRE-red could be better,. i`ve been searching for a romantic fragance but i dont know what should i buy... thanks .

  • ERIC05/26/2005

Have had it about 4 years and stopped wearing it. Picked it up again and keep getting compliments. Like it so much better than the Blue version and X-Centric.

  • R.J.05/23/2005

I TRIED DUNHILL FRESH LAST WEEK AND I WAS IMPRESS BY THE MERE FRESHNESS OF IT'S SCENT. YOU COMPARED IT TO ECHO BY DAVIDOFF, WHICH I SORT OF AGREE WITH IN A SENSE, HOWEVER, IT IS LIGHTER THAN ECHO. IT STILL HAS THE NON-ORIGINALITY TRAIT THAT MOST DUNHILL FRAGRANCES HAVE, BUT ALSO SHARES THE LOWERED PROMOTIONAL FANFARE, WHICH MAKES THEM THE LEAST POPULAR BRAND IN THE MARKET TODAY. ANYWAY, TAKE CARE.

  • TONY T04/30/2005

since this guy is so unoriginal i am pretty sure it is a carbon copy of something... never sampled it but i am going 2 say echo by davidoff

  • TONY T04/07/2005

although both are great this one is a bit more manly. very long lasting sweet scent but not girly and did i say long lasting. high quality stuff but not a must have. if you like red scents this is second only 2 the king 360 red although the 2 have very different scents.

  • DW03/12/2005

Desire is defintely the good stuff. Men, you will not smell like a woman wearing Desire. Desire is premium men's cologne, and for the money it is very well worth the price.

  • COLOGNE COLLECTOR02/11/2005

I've had a few collections of cologne and I've always been a fan of sweet scents. When I tested Desire right away it convinced me that I got to have it in my collection. Here are my colognes Bulgari Xtreme, Dolce & Gabanna, Burberry Weekend, Bulgari Blu Homme, Romance, Emporio Armani, Acqua Di Gio, Eternity, Claiborne Sport, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Blue and the new addition DESIRE!!!

  • ILIANA01/08/2005

This is the best smelling cologne ever! My boyfriend bought me a teddy and sprayed it with desire, i have to smell it constantly! Every time i pick up the bear i have to smile it is amazing!!!

  • ILIANA01/08/2005

My boyfriend has this and he always smells GREAT!!! I reccommend this to all guys you'll get more action than you do with AXE... Trust me!

  • DAWN01/07/2005

This is one of the best men's fragrances out there & I work at a fragrance counter. I fall in love with it everytime i smell it, sooo sexy!!!!

  • OMARV01/03/2005

fantastic scent .... and it lasts on me .... you should always spray on the cologne and wear it for a few hours to see if it's worth it .... Marc Jacobs and Intuition smell nice on me but only last half an hour .... Polo Blue and Dunhill (red) last a long time on me ... this is one of those you must check out ... highly recommended ...

  • NATALIA12/23/2004

I bought it for my boyfriend and wow all i can say mmmmmmmm...i completely fell in love wit it..i wanna keep smellin it, it smells so good :D

  • W.B.12/23/2004

IT'S GREAT THAT YOU FINALLY SEEN THE BEAUTIFUL LIGHT IN THIS WONDERFUL FRAGRANCE. AS FAR YOUR LAST COMMENT GOES, IT IS SIMILAR IN A WAY TO SEXUAL WHEN IT DRIES DOWN, HOWEVER, DESIRE IS MORE VERSATILE, STRONGER AND LONGER-LASTING THAN SEXUAL, AT LEAST ON ME. ANYWAY, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH EITHER ONE. TAKE CARE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS, FELLOW COLOGNE MASTER.

  • ROB H.12/22/2004

Good looking out, fellow cologne master. I guess I was never really in a hurry to try this out until I ran out of shower gel and ordered up the Desire shower breeze. The instance I took a whiff of it, I told myself that I'm definitely going to get the cologne itself. Very pleasing and seductive to women, this wonder reminds me a little of Sexual by Michel Germain......don't you think?

  • KELLY11/17/2004

GOOD EAST PERFUMES DESIRE IS VERY GOOD SO And AS HE IS A MAN WHO NEEDS ONE NIGHT SEDUCTIVE And SENSUAL. THE THIS WIDE-AWAKE ALL EMOTIONS OF A WOMAN. YOU I RECOMMEND IT FOR THAT UNFORGETTABLE OCCASION.

  • TONI FINISH11/09/2004

In that exellent bottle is this juice, which is like a juicy-fruit lefted in paradise, after it`s been bitten by the fake-snake himself.

  • DAVE211/03/2004

Desire's dry-down smells exactly like Romance Silver! A lot of new colognes smell like the older colognes! But Desire somewhat still smells excellent!

  • GIAN FROM BRAZIL10/16/2004

Wonderful scent. Very different, unusual and pungent. Try it. One the best orientals fragrances. [email protected]

  • TAJ09/22/2004

When you see this bottle, you are going to want know how the fragrance smells. The bottle caught my eye while sitting on a dresser at a friends home.Everytime I went to his home, I sprayed a little on. I'm happy to say that I have my own bottle now.The scent is so unusual, I have to keep smelling myself. Many say this is a apple or sweet smelling scent, but I don't detect this.I smell a low note of musk.It has a kind of 'funky' scent.Sweet or funky, this is a good, strong, long lasting fragrance. This is the only cologne I have brought home and my girl has liked as much as I do.Smelling this while thinking of the name 'Desire', you will realize that the name is quite befitting.

  • NICK09/13/2004

This is simply the best cologne ever made. Everyone should own a bottle or 5.

  • W.B.09/09/2004

WHAT'S UP, I'M SUPRISED YOU HAVEN'T COMMENTED ON DESIRE YET.UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS, REALLY NO MAN SHOULD LET THIS ABSOLUTE LADY-KILLER BE LEFT OUT OF THEIR COLLECTION. MAYBE YOU JUST LIKE THE LESSER-KNOWN FRAGRANCES. ANYWAY, TAKE CARE, FELLOW COLOGNE MASTER.

  • MIKE09/04/2004

ok i just bought this cologne and it is simply just about the best out of all the colognes i have well i have all the good ones like burberry and cool water and drakkar but this one def stands out wow the smell is awesomee i love it its refreshing at the same time sweet and classy and strong its a complete package i dont see why ANYONE would not like this awesome smell !!! A MUST HAVE

  • MARUKKA08/28/2004

I absolutely LOVE Desire Blue but this stuff... I just don't get it. It smells like rotten apples.

  • JONATHAN08/05/2004

This one got me 5 turn arounds..4 winks...and 9 I love your smell. It is a real turn on to Ladies in my area LA.

  • BRIAN06/29/2004

This scent warms down to a mild vanilla scent, which younger women seem to love. For older women, I use Joop. I'm in my early 30's. Let's face it, this isn't your Alpha-male dominant type cologne. If your body doesn't react well to sweeter colognes, don't buy this. If colognes like Joop, Lagerfeld, and Dolce are in your collection - Desire is a must have.

  • R.J.06/29/2004

A TRUE WOMAN MAGNET THAT SHOULD BE IN EVERY MAN'S COLLECTION. A FUTURE ALL TIME CLASSIC.

  • WADE05/25/2004

I agree with some of the other posts....it is not for everyone! but for those of us that it DOES work for, it is one of the best....made me want to toss out my Joop and Armani Gio....I have found the holy grail of scents that works best for me *and the women in the office!*

  • ALEXANDER04/13/2004

First time I spotted this red bottle in Duty Free Singapore. Its unique scent is unmatched. It's warm and a little on the sweet side. One of my all time favorite. It definitely has its own class up there. Excellent cologne from Dunhill. Well done product.

  • MAKOTO04/03/2004

I got some compliments on it.But it's so strong that I feel some ostentation.

  • CARLOS D03/24/2004

Normally I don't fall for this type of scent but I consider bying it. Unlike the others. It smells familiar but I can't find something quite like it. It could be a bit sharp but not headaching at all. Strange... Not warm but not cold either, somewhere in the middle. It probably works better on more cosual persons than snobs. I think younger men wear it better. Bottom notes, top notes, it's all there, very notable but what they are dificult to point a finger at. It is an intriguing fragrance indeed. Try it!

  • WILLY03/08/2004

Don't listen to the fools that don't like this. If you want the most interesting, intriguing sweet scent around with enough power to last all day and night that will not only satisfy your own senses but the ladies this is it. There's alot of good colognes that are good for romantic purposes but this is the absolute gem of them all.

  • ROB03/07/2004

it's energetic, but it will give you a headache-bigtime

  • STU02/11/2004

I don't find it powdery at all. I think it's great, if you don't like it don't wear it. It is a potent full-bodied fragrance. I use about six sprays and it lasts a long time.

  • TC02/11/2004

Does anyone else find it powdery? I do not smell apples at all. Makes me wonder if it is in the wrong bottle!

  • BOB02/02/2004

I did not like the fragrance Desire. It was too strong and not a very "desirable" smell

  • THE BIG R01/28/2004

I like this cologne. It's not for everyday use, but it's a keeper for those occasions when you're feeling like you want to push the envelope a bit.

  • ALEX01/19/2004

Red bottle indeed. Smoldering and sensuous, this unusual scent lasts and lasts. For evening, social use. I love it as does my girlfriend.

  • ER01/17/2004

My impression of the smell is strong and pungent. It's not horrible but I can't seem to get used to it. Very strong apple smell.

  • KOY12/28/2003

nice idea to put a note of lime juice but the fragrance itself smells synthetic. It lasts long in a different manner, which its only noticeable when freshly sprayed on but dries down and stays at a non-noticeable one. It could have been better if the lime and amber were made stronger to include both to equalize its dominant musky-vanilla base notes

  • DAVEY11/30/2003

It smells like powdery musk mixed with the apple and lime...ick.

  • KG11/18/2003

This is the best romantic sex magnet there is. It's main purpose is for night use. It's hot smelling and totally unique. Buy it for love if anything.

  • W.B.11/12/2003

THE BEST COLOGNE EVER, BAR NONE!!!!!!!! GO AND GET IT; THE LADIES ARE BEGGING FOR IT!!!!!!!!

  • JAMES11/10/2003

A spray of this stuff and you feel as rush of confidence and virility. The only thing that's missing is the Porche 911. This one's has a real straighfoward male fragrance with low notes, tobacco, and spice. Let the boys wear their funky fruity Italian colognes and Citrus soaked American colognes. Dunhill's Desire is in that rare category of classic virile colognes which includes Hermes' Equipage or Guerlain's Heritage.

  • RICH10/20/2003

Desire has the most unusual frangrance. At first is pleasant but as day goes on, seems to get a little old. The 4 stars are for the fact that when I do wear it, I do get compliments on it.

  • MARIUSZ-K10/15/2003

Great scent for real macho... Classy, elegant and lasts all day.

  • LUNARIAN10/13/2003

This is one of the most original men's fragrances produced in the last 2 to 3 years. I can understand why some people may not be happy with it though. It's unfamiliar and quite moody. If you like a little adventure in the way you smell, try it.

  • ERIC09/05/2003

The sophistication of this scent comes with the wearer, as with any scent.

  • ERIC09/05/2003

I had to come back to reemphasize how great this fragrance is. I absolutely love wearing this and wear it well.

  • MICHAEL M.09/02/2003

I thought I liked this at first, but the more I wore it, the more it became too sweet and too strong. The famous fragrance of apples isn't bad, but overall the cologne is just too much.

  • ADAM MARANELO08/30/2003

Nothing comes close to this, it leaves a sweet sexy smell all day long and the girls just go wild over it. I'd recommend this to anyone. Much nicer than the Dunhill Blue.

  • DORIAN07/20/2003

Very Distinct scent, yummy! LOVE the Shower Breeze stuff.

  • DANIELLE07/18/2003

My boyfriend received this for his birthday last month. He just started wearing it. MMMM......can't say enough. I couldn't keep my hands off him! The stuff smells good!

  • BRIAN07/09/2003

Nothing to scream about, but nice for casual office wear

  • RICH07/03/2003

If you like something that lasts a long time, this is for you. Almost a cinnamon smell to it that lasts but wering it often, it will get to you as overpowering

  • DAVE05/30/2003

Superb scent. Very warm and alluring... A perfect complement to the even (unbelievably) better Desire Blue. Alfred Dunhill obviously has male fragrances mastered. Definitely recomended!

  • SHAHZAD04/14/2003

To fulfil your desire ,Desire is the simple way. i love this fragrance because its diffrent from other same kinds of fragrances.

  • KEV04/07/2003

Really sweet, but nice. There is no sophistication about the smell though.

  • STARR04/01/2003

Wonderful, sexy scent. Not for everyone but what is. Smells so much better on some than others as well. One of my favorites to smell.

  • CHARLES B03/22/2003

This Desire stuff smells funny. I like the red color though. It's awfully pricey for what you get.

  • PEB03/21/2003

my husband bought this and asked me to smell it , smells pretty good although I like allure for men better. The womens version of desire is gross

  • CORLISS03/18/2003

Desire is fabulous. Smelling it made me close my eyes and smile, even after he had left the room.

  • JASON03/03/2003

took the advise of a friend and he got this at the mall. I went to the mall looking for a sweet scent. I smelled Jaipur, Romance and a few others and this was exactly what I was looking for. I keep my daywear for Chrome but when I feel like being close with my girlfriend or go out at night this is the perfect scent. Some might not like it cause it's not the most masculine smell in the world but that is not what the idea behind this is. One other note on this if you pick up the bottle and spray it as opposed to shaking it a few times then spraying it there is almost 2 different smells to it. There is alot of different notes in here and I like them all. Sexy hot scent. I like the way the Blue scent smelled too. I might get that next.

  • FAST ONE02/18/2003

If your looking for a romantic cologne look no further. I went to the mall and told the lady working there I wanted a sweet scented colonge for you know what. This one totally blew my mind and I blew my ladies mind on Valentine's Night!!

  • NIKKI02/04/2003

I smelled this one a well-dressed young man and just had to ask him what he was wearing. It smelled very warm, slightly sweet and very masculine.

  • JEAN01/30/2003

Chris if you do know any sober women I'm sure they would live this. What this does is attract, not annoy for it's wonderful. I do and I believe others do find some posts annoying though like yours was. Maybe you'd smell better in Tommy or Cool Water like Claris mentioned earlier.

  • CHRIS G.01/27/2003

Or one of your familly members that would come over wearing some scent so strong and disgusting your eyes would water?....this is what this perfume is... it's not so bad but it WILL do your head in!...even after it dries the scent is just annoying!(by the way i did buy it so i should know)...i did get some compliments...but i don't think i've ever gotten one from a SOBER girl!

  • CLARIS01/21/2003

No this is for adults. Tommy and Cool Water is for teens. Leave this alone until you get older and sprout body hair.

  • TEEN11/30/2002

Is this cologne for Teens ???

  • DONI11/02/2002

I love it!! I bought it for my boyfriend and i wanted to get one for myself just to keep smelling it. It smells so sexy, sweet; would make just about any guy smell good enough to eat.

  • YOSHI10/21/2002

    Smells like sex and candy

  • CHARLES10/19/2002

Never one to go by what others say I decided to try this out. I receive so many compliments. I haven't found one person who hasn't liked or wanted to know where they could purchase it. Be your own person and try for yourself, don't let the negative comments from one or two here dissuade you from making a great fragrance choice. This is a scent for those who like to feel sexy and can exude confidence. This is definitely no drugstore scent like its been suggested.

  • ERIC10/18/2002

Is a great scent and smells like NOTHING else.

  • STASH10/18/2002

This stuff is great and Nissa most women love Desire, you are one of the few who don't -- but then luckily we don't know you nor care what you think

  • MICHEL10/12/2002

Who is copying who? Lapidus; Desire...They all smell the same. And not very good, at that!

  • NISSA10/01/2002

This cologne is strong and it smells cheap. I love men that smell good. This fragrance would run women away from you. I put some on by accident and asap I threw it away. Sickning!!!!

  • STASH09/19/2002

Was unable to post a review under X-Centric. While it isn't intolerable, it didn't live up to the notes of the fragrance. I expected something superior smelling. Desire smells better to me.

  • JOSEPH09/13/2002

This is one sweet cologne, unique in its "over-ripe apple" top note. The mid-notes are tangy and help hold it all together. Given its special and innovative fragrance, I'm still getting used to wearing it. Buy a mini first before commiting to a big bottle.

  • PATRICK09/04/2002

A great scent! I work in downtown Houston where there is a shop in the tunnels. I tried a spray or two early in the morning to get my lady friends opinions on it. I didn't get a single objection! I love it and it lasts for hours.

  • JEFF08/30/2002

This is such a great fragrance. How anyone could begin to compare the odor of A Men by Mugler to this beautiful smell is beyond my senses.

  • MARK08/23/2002

I get more compliments on this fragrance than just about any other I have worn. Women really like it.

  • KRISTIN08/11/2002

love love love this scent. it's strictly evening romantic use, but one spay could last you into next week if you didn't shower. But if you want girls to turn their head when you walk by them, you need this fragrance. yum

  • STU07/31/2002

    Desire is swinging.

  • ALIOU07/29/2002

After reading the others comments about desire, I bought the mini bottle to see for myself. But this stuff has been far far below my expectations. It smells like an underarm without deodorant. I will stick to my old friends "le Male" and "A MEN". thx God I bought the mini.

  • VL06/26/2002

This sent made me absolutely melt when my guy wore it! I'm sure he's not having a hard time seducing the ladies now that we have broken up.

  • JAMES05/22/2002

I have worn this cologne for a year now and all I get are compliments. If you are looking for something good.....THIS is it!

  • ERIC05/10/2002

Sirena, try Benadryl or psuedofed for your sinuses. You obviously have a distorted sense of smell or no taste since you dislike this incredibly wonderful fragrance so much.

  • FAZAL05/07/2002

i thought this should be one of the most popular fragrances but i have been so surprised with negative comments... listen ..this aint no lie...i bought this fragrance to seduce even more....already seduced girls...and what happened..a guy who has very sexy girlfriend was the first person to get seduced with the scent and inquiring me about the smell...ladies-men always identify the scents of seduction..

  • MOHAMMED05/02/2002

it's sexy, seductive, wonderfull, makes you feel something else

  • LAURA04/20/2002

It smells yummy on my boyfriend!

  • PHIL04/20/2002

i guess there will always be 3 or 4 people that will like any given fragrance...this 1 has a warm apple smell but is way tooo strong...i'd use it for a car air freshner, but as far as wearing it, i wouldnt waste my time on overated junk

  • SIRENA THOMSON04/19/2002

Listen all of you out there, Desire is the most disgusting scent ever. Don't buy it. I can't believe people actually like it. You'll get so fed up with it. Oxygene by Lanvin on the other hand is great. Do try it and Hey I'm not an american!!!!! as some Eric thinks.

  • ERIC04/19/2002

I totally disagree with you and your friends. It is one most sexy, incredible fragrances I've smelled. That's why this is America I guess and we all have our opinions.

  • MEMBOI2404/18/2002

Very sweet smelling but didn't mix well with my skin after a while.

  • ANDY04/03/2002

I totaly disagree with Sirena. Desire is a very nice and sexy scent. My boyfriend gets many compliments and I love it on him. Try it and judge for yourself.....

  • SIRENA THOMSON03/23/2002

My brother bought this cologne.......It's driven me crazy. I hate it. It smells like saliva mixed with sugar and water.

  • JOSH03/21/2002

Desire is a very warm, classy scent. I wear it for evenings more than for days, but it's not over powering in any event. This is a quality cologne.

  • FEATHERS03/15/2002

The name says it all. The moment you put it on the sponge like texture of your skin absorbs this wonderfully masculine classical fragrance and departs a soft and muted scent than lingers for hours.

  • PAOLO11/25/2001

    this is my signature scent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GIANCARLO11/20/2001

LOL yeah, right. And then you woke up from your adolescent fantasy. My fave is the wanker who fancies himself a "ladies man," dismissing his peer with a worldly smirk. Yeah, that's it. All "ladies men" need to prop themselves up with pretty $50 bottles of scented water, after all. Come ON, folks, it's cologne, not sex in a bottle. It might smell okay, but it's not going to work any miracles that a well-placed sock won't do better. Contrary to popular wisdom, don't put the sock in your drawers. All this will do is set you up for some embarrassment later...and if you head to the plate without a bat, you're gonna strike out no matter how pretty you looked in the on-deck circle. Instead, shove the sock in your mouth. Stay quiet...smile...try to express your interest without making grunting noises...who knows, it might just work! At the very least it will soak up a bit of the usual drool.

  • KIMBER08/17/2001

this is one of the best fragrances for a man that i've ever smelled. i just started dating a guy that wears it and it drives me crazy

  • EDIE06/23/2001

This cologne is one of my favorite men's fragrances. It smells fantastic. And the red bottle is too cool!!!

  • D.BLADE06/05/2001

This cologne is right at the top along side Angel and Hoshier Boudell, but less than half the cost. This is a lady's man cologne. If your not a ladies man, then you probably wouldn't understand why women go crazy over this smell.

  • ROBERT03/11/2001

This is my absolute favorite cologne..from the likes of joop!,jean paul gaultier,xeyrus...they all have a kind of tobbacco scent to them however desire was the sweetest!!!..if anyone has been unsatisfied ill buy the unused portion of the bottle...email [email protected]

  • STEVE W01/09/2001

i have to disagree with the previous message.. i LOVE this scent, and so did my friends- it's different, kind of smells like apples, but try it at a dept. store first to see if you like it!

  • ASAP ALEXANDER01/08/2001

This is the worst smelling cologne ever...it smells like rotten candy or something..my girlfriend and other friends hated the smell.dont buy this, youll get dissappointed
