  • MARY02/26/2011

When I first smelled this I loved it and bought a bottle. But, when I started using it I discovered there is a somewhat piercing note that gives me a headache. It penetrates my head/sinuses and makes it unpleasant for me to wear. Too bad. Otherwise I would continue to use it. So, the scent it beautiful but an ingredient doesn't work for my system. Gave my bottle to a friend and she loves it. No problem for her.

  • ROSERED12/24/2010

Well, that explains why the first bottle of Pleasures I bought, in 08, I liked so much I spent hours sniffing my wrist. But the second one seemed sharper and less balanced. I still enjoy it but not as much as the Original. I'm not sure if I will continue to buy this fragrance in the future. Oh why oh WHY do perfume houses do this every 10 years or so causing everyone who fell in love with the Original scent to stop buying in disappointment.

  • BLONDIE04/17/2010

Oh well now I understand. For the past several months I can't seem to stand any of the ones I've really liked. When the start to mess with them, this is what happens. Pleasures seems very sharp and almost acrid to me now. Maybe it's the "rebalancing". Good grief.

  • JOANNAH01/07/2009

This would've made me either gag or yawn in the past but I like it now or actually they seem to develope best with my chemistry these days. My preferences are still the same but I'm trying to accept that my chemistry seems to prefer this type of green/floral scent (at least that's what it is on me) as opposed to the sweeter/heavier/vanilla based fragrances that have worked in the past.

  • DISAPPOINTED10/19/2008

If you have loved your EL fragrance, get ready for a change. I received an email stating the company is "rebalancing" ALL their fragrances! Please write their site and complain, if you are as disappointed as I am.

  • DARRSHAN01/02/2008

great going to stay for a longer period, soon will be a classic

  • NICOLE12/11/2007

I don't smell RL hot with that one...it's just like b&bw's brown sugar and fig though, which came out long before RL's perfume. Alot of women I've spoken with say if you like angel, you'd love delight. It's not the same, much softer than the intense angel in my opinion. Has a sexy sweet scent, with some earthiness to pull it back down. So it smells like a woman and not a girl. Gourmands can be sick without a good base in them. I am buying it for christmas. :) It's one of the only new perfumes I liked.

  • JILLAINE10/03/2007

To me... this new one smells ALOT like Ralph Lauren's 'Hot' fragrance. Anyone agree?

  • REBECCA08/29/2007

Since I don't see the new pleasures on here yet, my review is for it. I still like the original and the previous intense and exotic versions. I LOVE this one the most of all! It's the first gourmand, and is addictive. Notes of strawberry meringue and caramel! It's so good, but not too sweet. There is some patchouli to balance the sweet notes, as well as florals. This one is my new perfume obsession, and I'm so happy with it. Most women I've spoken to felt the same way.

  • KATHY Z.07/22/2007

I loved this immediately. Tried this for the first time partly because of the posts here. I can see why some call this unisex, but I would not describe this as "masculine". Very refreshing in hot weather. Very fresh and clean. Not overpowering. Not "perfumey".

  • BARBARA W05/01/2007

Hey Steve and Rob - I read your posts with great interest. I applaud you for wearing what you like and bucking the gender rules when it comes to fragrance. I am a straight, completely feminine woman, but if I fall in love with a men's fragrance, I will wear it, love it, and not care what others think. More and more scents being created today do not fall into the stereotypical "femme" or "homme" category, hence the popularity of unisex fragrances. We should wear scents that we adore and make us feel good...THAT is sexy! Have fun with it, and I hope you'll post more comments on some other "women's" perfumes. I love to hear a man's opinion. Peace, Barbara

  • KALINA03/14/2007

i guess this is ok.. its nothing i would want to have for myself but could see this doing well on others.

  • VANESSA03/08/2007

I got this perfume for Christmas. I liked the smell in samples in magazines, but when I got it it was just too potent. It smells very strong and reminds me of sawdust. yuck. maybe it was lighter :/

  • LAURINHA11/28/2006

I couldn't resist buying another bottle of this wonderful and super feminine fragrance. I feel very nice when wearing it!

  • CK11/20/2006

For those who like green scented fragrances, this is one with depth! When I had my first sniff I was smitten. Studying perfume scents is an art in itself. What can help a lot of people from buying perfumes that they find don't work on them is to take time and test, test. Sometime it could be our diet, medication and chemistry that can cause perfumes to seem to "stink" or not smell as good as it did on another person. This is a nice fragrance for some, or it may be too strong or to sharp, but I love it! I can understand at times that many may consider some scents to be for the "senior crowd" but taste changes as you mature "gracefully". Then, maybe this particular scent is not for you at all! Keep searching for that right perfume!

  • MSDELI10/17/2006

I have smelled this on other people and have been very suprised to learn it was Pleasures. It smells like cleaning solution on me. It has too much of a green smell for me. I don't like green smells.

  • AMY10/11/2006

I bought this when it first came out and loved it! I got sick of it though, so I stopped buying it but that was back when my collection wasn't too big so I wore it like EVERY day for a long time. Well it has been a long time (years) and I am ready for pleasures again. Every time I go to the department store now, I always stop and give it a sniff and I'm in love with it again. It beats alot of the new scents that are out there now. It's an awesome fresh summer scent, but I used to wear it beautifully in winter too. I'm definitely going to buy another bottle to have for the coming holiday season- and I usually wear warmer scents during that time.

  • QUI09/03/2006

I received this perfume as a birthday gift three years ago from my office supervisor. I would recommend this for day or night. It also last a long time.

  • SYELLE08/20/2006

Been wearing it since 1995, loved it, still love it . My ( smell signature), to this day every time i smell it , i Luv it , luv it , luv it.

  • STEVE08/07/2006

Thank you for the post. I wear what scents i like. If you or other women like you dont like the scents i wear, so be it. I wear the type of scents I like, not what other people like. I wear "womens" fragrances because there is greater variety in them not because i have a strong feminine side. Also, i like floral notes and mens frags. dont have good floral essences in them. So, next time when either you or your ilk come near me, warn me. That way i can stay far away from you so you dont have to smell me. And, oh, tell your son that Sears has some great deals on Acqua di Gio, Brut, and English Leather. LOL!!!!!!!

  • JULIE08/05/2006

To the guys: I think certain fragrances DO smell feminine & too sweet, in my opinion for a guy. Some may not, but if I wear something too masculine, I get negative comments. So, it works both ways. I think with all the men's fragrances out there to choose from, to purposely seek out a woman's fragrance, is a little odd, but to each his own. My son would never do that, but maybe you have a strong feminine side. Interesting....

  • ROB07/31/2006

Hi Eric, yes, you can totally pull this off. It smells totally unisex, and women have commented that it is able to be pulled off by men and women. Go for it.

  • ERIC07/30/2006

I posted back in '02 that I loved Pleasures on woman and smelled it the other day on someone. Never thought of wearing it myself though. Do you I guess Steve and Rob.

  • STEVE07/22/2006

Hey there again: sorry, i've been away for a while. I have tried amariage before but i cant remember what it smells like....i'll have to go try it again since you suggested it. I've found another good one. Its by Paul Smith...his new one called Floral. Try it and let me know what you think. see ya

  • ROB07/07/2006

Hey Steve, just bought "Amarige" by Givenchy, try that one. Masculine floral and drydown. Let me know what you think.

  • ROB06/22/2006

Hi Steve! Thanks for responding. I am in full agreement in the sense that you wear womens fragrances, however, they are not too "feminine". I also want to try "Remember Me" by Christion Dior. Hope you like the Pleasures, it really is a great one, and I get complimented all the time by co-workers and friends stating that they thought it was a mens fragrance. What other scents do you like by Dior and Lauder?

  • STEVE06/17/2006

Thanks for responding. I wear alot of different womens frags. Youth Dew, Aliage, Azuree. Private Collection is nice but its a little feminine for me. I like Christian Dior scents too. I, like you, have Pure Poison too. Its one of my favs. I think that could easily be a mens fragrance. I have Miss Dior and the new one Miss Dior Cherie. Diorella, Diorissimo is good too as is Dioressence. Miss Dior is a very dry chypre scent whearas the new one, Miss Dior Cherie smells like strawberry ice cream. Chat later

  • ROB06/15/2006

Hi Steve! Yes, I find pleasures to be VERY nice, and not to overly feminine. I (like you) wear womens fragrances from time to time. I wear Pure Poison, and am very fond of Romance by RL. I think that what you and Maya stated on your previous posts, that fragrance has NO gender, no matter what anybody says. I get SO very upset when people on these boards say things like "Guys shouldn't wear girls perfume". To all those who think that-GET OVER IT. Fragrance has no gender. Anyway Steve, what other colognes/frags do you like? Any info would be great! Another really good one Steve, is White Musk by Jovan.

  • STEVE06/13/2006

Its interesting you should pose this question about Pleasures. I am a guy that wears alot of "womens" frags, not gay by the way, but it has never occured to me to wear Pleasures. I've had the mens version before and i've given the womens version to my mother once for Christmas. It has a very nice floral smell to it. It really didnt occur to me to actually wear this, but i am going to check it out again and this time it will be for me. And oh, i dont think my mother likes it. I gave it to her a couple of years ago and the bottle is still full LOL!!!

  • CHANDA05/22/2006

Fresh floral fragrance that i use always because i love it so much

  • ROB05/11/2006

A guy friend of mine (not gay by any means) had a cologne on that smelled great. Him being a cologne fanatic, it could have been anything. I asked him what cologne he had on, and he simply replied "Pleasures". So, curiosty got the better of me, and I headed to the mall and found Pleasures by EL and it did not smell the same out of the bottle as it did on him. I called him and told him that it was different, he replied "its not the mens version". The lady at the counter said the womens is easily pulled off as unisex. I want some womens imput on this...is pleasures unisex??

  • HEATHER05/07/2006

I truly love this scent. At only thirteen, some of the perfumes on the market are too strong and musky for my taste but Estee Lauder's Pleasures perfume was the first fragrance I actually fell in love with. It's just floral and slightly tangy and an original. It's very classic and I can never stop smelling the bottle because the lovely fragrance is absolutely engrossing. Anybody who finds this wonderful perfume nasty and what not is crazy! Any perfume collector should definetly have this exotic scent on their dresser. A definte recomendation.

  • CATHY PINEDA05/03/2006

pleasure perfume makes me feel confident. the smell is so sweet and elegant.it even lasted in your dress and can still smell it even if the dress has been washed! believe me!

  • SYLVIE04/22/2006

I smelled Pleasures some years ago on a dear friend. I liked the fragrance immediately and so I said to her: "You smell irresistible like a wonderful, fresh rose in the morning dew!" But some meetings later, I detect suddenly and unfortunately an unpleasant note in Pleasures, which I cannot tolerate. This note stands out in the drydown(!) and has nothing to do with my wonderful rose impression! Now I don't like Pleasures. It's crazy how our noses and senses work =:).

  • ARICIA02/20/2006

A real "place" scent: smells like Monterey, California. A nice green fragrance, though the gardenia can get to be too much for me at times (results in a headache).

  • D-UNIT02/14/2006

This used to be my signature scent. I stil LIKE it but I don't like to wear it too much. It is almost too strong.

  • OCEAN02/12/2006

I love this perfume. I especially loved it when the Pleasures Silky Moisture Mist was still available. I layered it with Pleasures or Pleasures Intense, depending on the day. It softened the fragrance and it smells beautiful. Worn alone or layered with the moisture mist or lotion is absolutely wonderful! My husband loves it too. Nice and clean. Also, everyone's body chemistry is different, so for those who didn't like it, that may be a reason. :)

  • DIONNE02/02/2006

I wore this so much for the past few years that I thought I need to get with the times. this remarkable blend will always remain a classic though - clever florals

  • NAUSHABA ZAFAR01/23/2006

Pleasure is so fresh like a fresh breeze. Its my all time favorite .

  • GOLDTRESSA01/06/2006

A favorite with me. I used it alot for years and got tired of it, but it is one of those fragrances that I want on my shelf. It will be a classic, like L' Aire Du Temps

  • LAURINHA01/06/2006

... I have to agree w/ those who said it's a little bit strong. You have to wait 10 min. after spraying, so it starts to smell better. Another thing: very classy and longlasting. I like it, but I think I won't buy another bottle when I finish this...

  • MS THANG01/02/2006

This one is nothing special too me. It smell like something an elderly person no offense please would like.

  • MARY12/20/2005

I first smelled this in the department store. I still can't tell what exactly does it smell like. Everyone always raves about this perfume, but it didn't do nothing for me.

  • FANYA 12/07/2005

It's okay the first one or two times you put it on, but after that I just makes you sick :( Sorry Estee Lauder!

  • JENNIE12/04/2005

I gave this a good score because it REALLY LASTS! I mean one spritz is enough, maybe too much even. Anyway, I got sick of it though so I gave it away to my sister.

  • ROXOLANA10/30/2005

I remember when it just came out. I smelled in the magazine, went to Macy's, but it was too expensive since I was a student. Decided to buy for my Mom's birthday though. She loved it and was mentioning it after it was gone. I bought her EDT Pleasures Summer Waters last summer, it smells almost the same, but not as strong. Also will try Pleasures Exotic next time.

  • BRITTNEE09/20/2005

I love this fragrance because it is just so fresh and clean. It reminds me of a breezy spring day in the sunshine. Nice day perfume.

  • SABS08/30/2005

Why is it this particular fragrance either is great or does nothing for you? On one friend it turns sour. Another friend just loves it. On me it just smelled floral and wimpy. Oh well. I think I like pleasures exotic and intense much better.

  • BECCA08/21/2005

Took me a while to stumble across Pleasures and I'm glad I did. Now, its about all I wear. I love it and my husband loves it!

  • JENNIFER08/12/2005

I adore this fragrance! The body lotion is fantastic also. It's a modern, sophisticated scent that lasts a long time and a little goes a long way! Love it!!!!!!

  • FRAGRANCE PERSON06/28/2005

Try the new one just out in stores called Pleasures Exotic. It is great. A bit of fruity on top of the Pleasures fragrance. I recommend this one!

  • S05/04/2005

Pleasures is a beautiful, feminine fragrance. It's clean, but floral, but not heavy at all. It'll make you feel so pretty. It has a green smell to it (kind of like smelling freshly cut stems from a white flower), and is wonderful for spring and/or summer. It has gotten me compliments from quite a few people.

  • AIRIN DANCING04/20/2005

Are you able to perceive this parfum after 8 hours? I really love the parfum but I think after some hours it becomes undelectable. However, I always have men telling me my hair smells wonderful (the parfum on my hair) when close distances or when dancing very close to me. What do you think of a woman smelling like that? yours, airin

  • CHERIE04/15/2005

Worn it for years!LOTS of compliments!

  • PEACE04/11/2005

I think it is a very clean talcuum powder scent which men tend to like even if they mislead this parfum with a shampoo and always say: ooh, your hair smells wonderful....

  • ROMEO04/04/2005

I read all comments on it, and the reason? Because I just love it and wanted to hear what you ladies feel about it! Well, this is one just drives me crazy! An excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent (5 times!) daytime fragrance for women!

  • ROMEO04/01/2005

This perfume attacts me madly. Best perfume for daytime.

  • PAM03/31/2005

One of the best out there. 10 thumbs up. There is a reason it's been a best seller for years now. Most people have taste!!

  • LEILA03/26/2005

SEEMS A LITTLE STRONG AT FIRST BUT LASTS ALL DAY. MY EVERYDAY SCENT. VERY FEMININE. MY HUSBAND LOVES IT!

  • DANCER4LIFE03/20/2005

In very small quantities the perfume is quite nice, something I would probably comfortably wear to the office. But it is very strong, so much so that a simple spritz overwhelms my nose for quite a while. Not for the faint hearted...

  • JANE03/18/2005

I just adore this fragrance. It is my all time favourite. I got a bottle for christmas a few years ago. It is of course all gone now & has been for some time. I was on holidays recently & tried some at a department store - I really enjoyed the scent once again. I have had many perfumes since & none I love as much - my next favourite fragrance is Miracle.

  • REBECCA02/19/2005

THIS SCENT IS NICE AND CLEAN SMELLING. IT IS LIKE SPARKLING WHITE FLOWERS AND A HINT OF GENTLE SPICE (AFTER THE DRYDOWN- YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH IT) IT IS CLEAN AND PURE SMELLING, WITHOUT THAT SOAPY MASCULINE FEEL THAT WAS POPULAR 10 YEARS AGO. I THINK IT IS UPLIFTING WITHOUT SMELLING LIKE AN OLD FASHIONED SUPER FLOWERY EXPLOSION OR BABY POWDER (NO OFFENSE TO PEOPLE WHO DIG THOSE, BUT THEY GIVE ME A HEADACHE). IT'S NOT AN OVERPOWERING OR OVERCOMPLICATED FRAGRANCE; JUST SIMPLE AND NICE- I WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR DAYTIME WEAR.

  • DEONNE02/12/2005

Pleasures is really a great scent after the drydown. I enjoy wearing it from time to time for a change. I do receive compliments on it. BUT do spray lightly...!

  • LISA01/24/2005

Pleasures is a beautiful scent that can be worn during the day or at night. It is mostly floral, but not overpowering and sweet smelling. I've found that it smells very different on me than on a friend of mine. Very fresh!

  • EMMA BOVARY12/30/2004

This one has a sharp marine scent at first which I hate...it's like an air freshener..but then that part fades away..It is clean, fresh, yes, it is floral..and it LASTS..some florals just fade away on me..this lasts, as most of EL frags do...I wouldn't have picked this one at first because of that sharp marine scent ..but I am pleasantly surprised..a very warm weather frag.

  • YF12/24/2004

Pleasures, unlike some perfumes, isn't sickeningly sweet. I think it's a good blend of "green" scents and "floral" scents without being so fresh that it's unfeminine. However, it's VERY strong. I wear this on occasion, but it's not my favorite.

  • MICHELLE 11/09/2004

This is a very feminine, sophisticated and elegant perfume. Lasts a long time. Just a tiny bit on the inside of your elbow is enough. You will get compliments for sure. I've also tried the shimmering body lotion and it's awesome, no need to wear the perfume over that. The lotion is enough by itself.

  • LISHA11/06/2004

ok i never had a signature scent till now, try it ladies, clean and fun and it LAST all day for me

  • DANCING10/10/2004

Yesterday, I went to dancing again and ONCE AGAIN, a guy told me in my ear: you smell delicious. I think this is a close-to-smell parfum. Only when I dance salsa very close to a guy, compliments keep coming. It is a clean soapy smell on the other hand. I recommend it.

  • TERESA R.10/06/2004

this perfume goes with everything.. and for every season, hot or cold

  • DANCING09/13/2004

Compliments keep coming when dancing salsa. Men always say on my ear: you smell delicious, your hair smells delicious. One of them told me: you smel great, just like Dove Soap. I guess he likes soap fragance. I like Pleasures very much.

  • SANDEE09/08/2004

I really like wearing Pleasures and Pleasures Intense. I wear Pleasures for an everyday scent and P.I. for special occasions and weekends. I get compliments on both of them. Good Job E.L.!

  • JODIE09/02/2004

Ahh...I love this one; will always remind me of the beach when I lived there. It's soft, feminine, and fun! Definitely for day wear. Smells similar to Miracle by Lauder.

  • SHANNON08/24/2004

I know this probably isn't considered a sophisticated scent by perfume junkies, but I just love it! I come back to this one over & over again. This may be due to the fact that I love the smell of lilacs & lily of the valley, which are prominent notes in this perfume. If you don't care for these flowers, then this one definitely isn't for you. As for me, I can't stop sniffing my wrists whenever I wear this. It is not heavy or overpowering, but I find it intoxicating just the same!

  • SUZY-Q08/22/2004

At first when you put it on, Pleasures smells very strong and flowery, then it starts to smell pretty darn good after mixing with your body chemistry, kind of soft and musky, then turns too a very strong soapy smell after a bout an hour and stinks!!! My husband hates it.

  • CHRISSY08/04/2004

This has become one of my favorite scents. I have been looking for an everyday/signature scent for along time. I have been using Allure Edt and Edp for awhile . I still love Allure its a classic..but I have tired a bit of its sweetness. I guess we change all the time. Im not giving up Allure totally. But in my search I have tried so many scents from common to high end. And I have decided to go with Pleasures. I hadnt tried it till recently. I think when it came out the commercials were a turn off to me or something. Plus Estee fragrances tend to be on the heavy side. I think that Estee Lauder has a reputation for being a more mature consumer based cosmetic line. Thats only because they are also one of the original cosmetic lines. Estee Lauder was brillant. May she rest in peace. The business is still family owned and operated which I think is nice. Oh and another bonus this is an American company. I grew up not too far from one of the factories. Alot of my friends mothers worked there. So maybe keep that in mind if its a toss up between a scent from Paris or one from New York...go for New York. Can you tell I am a native New Yorker ? Anyway back to the scent. Its a wonderful, easy to wear floral. Not too heavy or sweet. It can be heavy if you apply too much. I find this scent dries down to something thats just right. I wouldnt say its an overly sexy scent..but its attractive. I dont think for everday we want to smell too in your face sexy. Anyway..I say try it. I honestly have tried at least 100 scents over the past year and came back to this one. Plus it is available in alot of bath products too. I think its disappointing to like a scent and its not really available in many forms. Its also nice that it is widely available to purchase. Its kind of nice that if someone wants to get you a gift they can. Some scents are so exclusive that its hard for our guys to find them..and we dont want that ..right ladies? :) Take Care.

  • CINDY K07/20/2004

I used to wear Eternity for Women for quite a few years, then I got a sample of Pleasures for Women in a Gift with Purchase a few years ago, and I have been using it ever since. Every day I have both MEN & Women asking me what perfume I'm wearing, and I politely thank them for the compliment and tell them it's a special blend. After all....every chemical we put on our bodies IS a special blend as it reacts with our chemical make-up. That is why some perfumes work great for some of us, and not so great for others! So Ladies, accept those compliments graciously, and thank them, and then move on! OK? Enjoy all the compliments while we still can! Have a terrific Summer! OK? CK

  • ERICA07/05/2004

Overwhelmingly flowerly. A dab will do you all day, and even then it smells like you poured a bottle of perfume on you.

  • SOPHIE06/14/2004

I liked the new summer in bloom series in Pleasures! I haven't got it yet, but I think I will. I tried it in the store. This fragrant body spray is much lighter and less overpouring. This is what many of us want in Pleasures! I also liked Beautiful in summer in bloom. This is the ideal way to experience these 2 fragrances. For me Beautiful was too strong, but I enjoy it in the summer body spray now. I strongly recomend summer in bloom edition for those who like the fragrance notes but are put off by strong eau de parfum presentation. This fragrant body spray is wonderfully delicate and it fades away naturally. You would want to spray it on several times a day. And it is moisturizing as well. And it comes in a frosted pink bottle with a portable and foldable vase. It is more and more pleasant!

  • PEARL06/07/2004

its sweet but not overpowering. it is sheer floral. try very irresistible its nice too!!!

  • GRACE PFALTZGRAF 740 753 155705/24/2004

I think this perfume is a bit strong, use with caution. It smells of liliacs.

  • BRIDGETT04/20/2004

I've worn this perfume for 5 years and my fiance will allow me to where nothing else - we both love the smell!

  • LOTTA04/19/2004

Someone asked for a similar perfume. Try Still by Jennifer Lopez. Not exactly the same, a bit sweeter but still fresh and clear, but similar anyway. I love Pleasure but I think I will buy Still to have something to change with.

  • MYRA04/08/2004

first time i smell it, i know i will fall in love with this scent. It's true! I just need a little splash on me & the smell will last hours.

  • HERMIONE03/01/2004

The top and middle notes are very light and pleasant. The dry down smell a bit like dill pickles.

  • PAZZO02/23/2004

Horrible concoction.I shudder to think a witch's brew like this is sold in the name of perfume.

  • JANINE02/22/2004

I have been wearing pleasures since 1997. I love it. I feel alluring and refreshed when I put it on. I have also had various MEN tell me I "SMELL SO GOOD" what is that I'm wearing. SO LADIES, I SAY GO FOR IT!!

  • JSTAGRL01/20/2004

I personally do not like Pleasures. In my opinion, it smells like any other strong floral out there....and strong it is. If there such a thing as a perfume being too floral - this is it.

  • ROSSY01/19/2004

When I used it for the first time, I felt like in the garden. I love it.

  • PERFUMELOVER01/15/2004

I like Pleasures and have been using it for years. However, I was shocked to read some of the not so favourable comments here as many of those comments really don not match how Pleasures smell to me. Then, one day, when I was shopping at the DFS, I smelled a tester of Pleasures and yaks! It was the most horrible smell I had ever smelled. It was obvious that the tester was a spolit one, a badly spolit one and I thought,"My, my, the people who posted these negative comments of Pleasures must have smelled a bad sample." I told the salesgirl that the tester was bad and she quickly replaced it. Pleasures is nice, really nice and it smells even better when it's on the skin so those of you out there who have smelled it and not liked it, do give it another try! Make sure you smell the right fragrance!

  • AGNES01/14/2004

I really like it. Does anyone know if there is any other perfumes that smell alike this one?????

  • SOPHIE01/06/2004

Pleasures are very pleasant to me because of peopnies and lilacs that i smell there. Reminds me of spring. I love it both when I use it or when others use it. It is delicate, soft, fresh, lasting. I don't agree that it attracts guys or causes headaches or smells like alcohol. And it is not a "cheap" fragrance. I like the original ad with Liz and the white labrador puppies :) It is so cute and sweet! Just like the fragrance.

  • KATE 11/29/2003

having said that i still think this one doesnt smell bad, just cloyingly sweet and straightforward, its for girls who tries to act cute, or those who does not have any taste but in need of cheap sex appeal. thats it really.

  • CHRISSY10/22/2003

I had gotten a sample bottle from a friend, but I ended up throwing it out because it really did make me sick. Just too strong and too much.

  • ABIGAIL09/28/2003

Had the misfortune to work with someone who spritzed Pleasures liberally on herself before work and after every break. I made it a point to find out what she was wearing so I would never, ever, mistakenly spray this migraine-triggering stinkum on myself.

  • UPSET09/13/2003

THIS SEEMS TO BE A NICE, DECENT FRAGRANCE AT FIRST. BUT WHEN YOU WEAR IT, YOU CAN'T BEAR IT. I HAD MY BOYFRIEND ASK ME IF I HAD BEEN DRINKING. AND ALL OF MY FRIENDS ASKED ME IF I HAD JUST COME FROM THE CLUB HAVING A FEW.

  • MELANIE09/05/2003

The first time i tried pleasures,it was a body lotion. I was at a nightclub years ago and in my sweaty state,it lasted way past midnight. Some drunk guy just grabbed my hand as if to dance & he kept kissing it so I guess you could say he did not let go of this fragrance....or me!!!! Pleasures is indeed the best, and it definitely deserves my vote.

  • EVELYN08/04/2003

Where to begin? I love perfume, try on every fragrance I can locate, have more than half a dozen books on the subject, love to sniff at everything - or almost everything. Pleasure by Estee Lauder, for example, is a nightmare. A cloying, artificial sweetness, too strong, does not fade nicely, does not smell nicely: it stinks! A friend of mine used to use this fragrance, guess what, every time she visited me and left, I had to open all doors and windows and diffuse essential oils to get rid of the horrible smell in my house. What else can I say?

  • ELIOT07/29/2003

This is meant to be used lightly I am sure. Its nice but very strong, and if you don't hold it 2 foot away from your body when you spray, you will be sorry

  • KIM07/01/2003

This one is nice but I think its a bit hyped up. All of the TV and magazine commercials advertising this fragrance years ago lead me to believe it was a must have. Now I have learned not to ever go by that and go by my own personal tastes. If you like soft florals you probably wont be dissapointed but I can think of alot of fragrances that smell alot better than this one to me.

  • USC7T106/26/2003

As so many others have said, "I'm stopped almost everytime I wear it to be asked what am I wearing." I love it. I think I've worn it since it came out.

  • JOYCE05/30/2003

Smells like a lot of others to me; not special at all and the secent is so-so

  • JANNINE03/26/2003

Pretty, but oh-so-pedestrian. designed for a common, boring woman. My 19-year-old friend says it's the ultimate guy attractor, and the kind of guys she attracts proves my point. Teenage guys. The type that like shy girls who fit in and don't say much. The kind who smile blandly at all their dumb jokes, and who put out because they're afraid to look like a dork if they abstain. The kind that have no original opinions. That said, it doesn't stink; it smells pretty. But boring.

  • JOANN03/26/2003

Pleasures, intuition and beautiful are the best fragrances Estee Lauder has. Youth Dew should have been discontinued 30+ years ago. Each time I were any of the three I am stopped and asked what are you wearing. That is the pleasure.

  • BOBBIE02/24/2003

This is one of my top three fragrance choices. It is great for summer daytime wearing

  • ALEX02/16/2003

It is an excellent choice for a romantic wear. Just one drop lasts a long time.

  • ANNE01/28/2003

Pleasures...Pretty Perfume with lilac and rose...Estee Lauders nicest perfume!

  • AANI01/10/2003

    REPULSIVE!!!

  • KATHLEEN01/08/2003

Pretty floral...love the roses,violets,lilac...pretty perfume for spring and summer...have loved this since it came out...

  • SHERYL P.12/20/2002

After trying Raplh and Chanel No. 5, I have finally found the scent I want to stick with for the rest of my life. This scent is a nice, light floral that is not suffocating at all. I also like the extensive product line which gives me plenty of options. Absolutely perfect!

  • LISA12/14/2002

Love it!!! States a daytime fragrance, but I wear it all the time!!

  • SHERRY12/07/2002

The whole line of Pleasures is awesome. When you take a shower with the Gel, then put on the Lotion, top that off with the powder, then spray on the colonge. W-O-W. It lasts forever. I love it.

  • MEGAN MARSTON11/26/2002

Unfortunately Pleasures smells like floor cleaner. The wear-off scent becomes to powdery and smells like Deoderant. I wish Estee Lauder would take it off the market. Its disappointing. On the bright side, if you were this you will smell clean (but very strong). Go lightly with it though.

  • JASMINE11/14/2002

This smells good for about 5 minutes. Then it gets bitter, sharp, sour and gives you a headache.

  • MARTINA10/24/2002

It is as its named , A PLEASURE to wear

  • AMANDA10/19/2002

Pleasures has a very fresh scent that I get alot of compliments on. I love it!

  • CP10/02/2002

This perfume is definitely floral. I get quite a few compliments. If you like floral you will love Pleasures. It also has long lasting power.

  • AMY08/23/2002

I love this scent on others but not on myself.

  • JOY08/05/2002

    the name says it all simply a beautiful sensual P L E A S U R E

  • MELH07/25/2002

I used to wear it a few years ago with my previous boyfriend, but my present one doesn't like it as it reminds him of his best friend who, according to him, is no sexy at all!

  • KATHERINE07/21/2002

This fragrance is amazing! Everywhere I go, I get complimented on my scent. Its truly beautiful!

  • GAIL05/23/2002

I can spot this scent a mile away.I was out having dinner with my husband and along came a lady that was doused in this stuff. I couldn't believe how strong it was. It actually turned my stomache. If you have to wear this perfume, keep in mind that it is very strong and long lasting. a little goes a long way!

  • JAKQUA05/19/2002

I bought a bottle of Pleasures when it first came out years ago, because like a summer blockbuster movie, everyone was talking about it and wearing it so "I just had to go buy it." Yes, Pleasures is just like the name, pleasurable, floral/rosey scent but if you are looking for a signature fragrance, something to make a statement of who you are and where you are going in life and also depending on your age, this is not the one. I would save pleasures for the weekend shopping sprees, Tupperware and Pampered Chef parties, etc.

  • ERIC05/16/2002

What a Pleasure to smell a woman with this on!

  • SUSANNA05/08/2002

    It is just perfect!

  • MARIA04/23/2002

For a long time I searched for the smell. Having tried many known and unknown marks I have stopped on Pleasures.Gentle cloud, transparency of air, mysterious and thin smell of a water lily, heat in a pink berry and depth of a black lilies. You will love it!

  • STEPHANIE04/22/2002

Pleasures is wonderful, light but not too light, fresh, just fabulous. I have never personally known anyone that doesn't like this fragrance.

  • KATHI04/16/2002

The compliments that I receive when ever I wear PLEASURES are: It is so clean, it smells good. What is that nice smell?

  • CARLA04/03/2002

    baby-iolish uninteresting

  • D 1 3DBABE03/25/2002

Fresh, clean, sexy, light, sensual, elegant, rich feeling, innocent, warm, inviting, & soooooo pleasurable!!!!!!! YUM!

  • ASCHATAN03/11/2002

Whenever someone complains that a perfume is too harsh, too sweet, cloying, heavy... nasty in a word, someone comes up with "you must have lost your sense of smell!" and says it's not too anything at all, but just right. I wonder who of the two has lost her sense of smell then... I don't like Pleasures, there is something pungent in it that makes my nostrils feel raw.

  • LESLIE03/09/2002

Smells nice, but I have to use it sparingly and lightly b/c it can get too strong and give me headaches.

  • PRINTESS03/09/2002

I have been wearing Pleasures since 1994 when it came out. I work in a Casino, and through the smoke you can still smell great with it on. I Love it!!

  • REGINA03/08/2002

    NASTY!!!

  • LAURA03/07/2002

It's all right, I guess. But it lacks distinctiveness. My mother has worn this ever since Anne Klein II was discontinued, and I wish I could tell her to stop! It doesn't suit her personality at all--she's far more interesting than this fragrance.

  • LIZ03/01/2002

I just tried the lotion..maybe the perfume is more exciting?

  • CALI02/20/2002

The fragrance was refreshing, casual and sporty, good to match with jeans and T-shirt. But it isa little too green, grassy and cool. After a while, I am bored by not getting what I need from a perfume. I still have half a bottle sitting on my dresser.

  • MAGGIEMAE02/17/2002

I love wearing Pleasures in the summer, but must use it sparingly. Can get too strong.

  • MICHELLE K.02/07/2002

Nothing too special about this, I have a bottle but only wear it when I run out of my other favorites or I wear it to bed. Very sharp fragrance, if that's what you like.

  • ANNE01/30/2002

a pleasure! It is light, airy and floral. i love it in the summer time!

  • DANA01/28/2002

What a snore! This fragrance is lacking in uniqueness - if you want a simple smell like this try bath and body work's plumeria spray or lotion - cheaper price and lasts longer. This one is not on my A-list.

  • DIANA01/21/2002

Uhhhh I have never in my life smelled a more disgusting smelling perfume in my entire live...five thumbs down

  • SHONDRA01/11/2002

To use and to wear. I've received many compliments from men and women regarding how "pleasant" it is to smell. I would recommend it to all my girlfriends!

  • DANA D. ANDERSON01/04/2002

I get so mny compliments on this perfume, by both male and females. It is awsome. It is pretty and sexy. The one thing I love about it, is that it last all day long and night too(all you need is a little and it goes a long way). Every woman should have a bottle of Pleasures on their dresser.

  • LIANE12/31/2001

Very sweet & floral. I'd recommend it!

  • MONIA12/31/2001

who saysthis perfume is bad they just lost their sense of smell it is very light & sexy as well

  • LINA K.12/29/2001

Estee Lauder's "Pleasures" keeps me coming back. I have used many perfumes, but most of them start to smell too sweet or too sharp or too citrus after some time. "Pleasures" is a happy compromise, a scent I can only describe with this one word: INTELLIGENT. It creates this impression of a woman who is intelligent and sexy and balanced. This is what it does for me.. Love it.

  • NOBODY12/26/2001

I love this fragrance, light floral, and sweet, but not too heavy. I found my favorite perfume! I highly recommend!

  • CHERYL12/14/2001

This one is sooo sexy. Perfect for MY chemistery!!! I work as a nurse, have to be careful with frag. My people LOVE it. Never a bad word. Thanks for a great frag!!!!

  • DANIELLE12/14/2001

Women, if your chemistry doesn't go well with this perfume don't say is NASTY!!!!!!

  • GAIL12/13/2001

This is yet another harsh, biting scent from Estee Lauder. This company should hire a new chemist or who ever creates the perfumes for it. NASTY! NASTY! NASTY!

  • ANNIE12/01/2001

When you go to buy perfume you know you're trying to get a frangrance that will attract the men. Well usually I ask men which perfume they like and without fail they say "Pleasures, get pleasures... it's soooooo hot!" - If you want to drive your man wild... spritz a little before a hug ;)

  • ANA11/17/2001

i really like the smell of pleasures. it's one of my favorite fragrance.

  • LIZ11/16/2001

In a moment of complete madness, I bought a large bottle of this. It is unbearable. Sweet and cloying, with a smell that just doesn't fade, this one sits virtually unused on my perfume tray. I am giving this one away!

  • CHERYL BETHEL11/01/2001

Pleasures is my favorite fragrance that I wear. Many men ask me what is the name of my fragrance and I tell them so they can buy it for their wives or girlfriends. It is very, very, pleasureable!!

  • BEVERLY10/12/2001

When a man hugs you and says "You smell sooooooo good", then hugs even harder, you know you're on to something. Pleasures - it sure is!

  • MIMI08/29/2001

This is the only perfume which smells like fresh coriander to me. i was given a bottle of this a couple of years ago and i tried to wear it a couple of times but each time i had o wash it off, it just turns on me. i gave it away in the end to someone who loved it!

  • MELISSA07/01/2001

I love the way it smells so innocent and romantic. Its so soft and I always recieve compliments when I wear it. Its the perfect scent for any occasion.

  • MICHELLE07/01/2001

I love this scent. It is fresh and sexy. Lasts a long time too. I always get lots of compliments when I wear it.

  • KIMBERLY06/12/2001

This fragerence is great. It is a soft sent but it lasts all day. I highly recommend it.

  • PENNY06/10/2001

I just love this fragrance! I get so many compliments when I wear it!! It lasts a long time too. Men love it too.. I have been wearing it for years and not tired of it yet.

  • JENNY05/22/2001

I have lots of perfume but this is my absolute favorite!!

  • HOLLY03/13/2001

This scent is a light floral, and I swear, every time I wear it, I get at least one compliment. It's flowery and sexy. Not very strong and affordable compared to many other fine fragrances out there. I have been wearing it for about six or seven years, and I still love it. The men seem to really like this one, too.

  • ADDIE02/11/2001

I use to wear "musk" only since my husband's nose was very sensitive. After my daughter started to use "Pleasures" I found it to be very sweet and you receive alot of comments on how good you smell and what's it called? Aloha!!!!!!!(Hawaii)

  • ANDREA02/09/2001

Very pretty. Feminine and light. Flowery.
