This is a mysterious fragrance with a strong pineapple smell. It so different from any other oriental fragrance I own, but I love it. I have received compliments. You have to try it to believe it! The notes somehow work together to create a one of a kind perfume. It has great lasting power. I can't quit smelling my wrist.

Found it in St. Marteen W.I. in 2003, it's been my signature scent ever since. Love it.

At first I thought wow soft and mildly sweet, I like it, then suddenly there came a very citrusy burst, not me at all, then came a soft powdery pinapple orchid fragrance that I really love. Some have stated it smells like aftershave. If so, Ive never smelled aftershave like this unless you consider the 2nd citrus burst before it finally settles down. Perhaps it is body chemistry but mine settled into a heavenly fragrance. My husband loves this one.

This was the first mini of the month fragrance I received, me and my guy both love it. Wears exectionally from the top note all the way through.

staying power is amazing! lasts all day. unfortunately i'm not that fond of this smell so it's really not a good thing for me but for those who like it, you'll be impressed with how long it lasts. little too masculine for me

This perfume is great!!! It's incredibly chic, incredibly elegant, it lasts for the day and I feel great wearing it! I get all these questions about what I'm wearing and it feels great to be admired but at the same time I feel like I want to keep it a secret, you know? I normally don't like oriental fragrances but Presence is simply unique.

I like the fruity pineapple, etc, then becomes a sweet aftershave - not bad, not fantastic - so so

After shave like, I agree. But still sophisticated some-how.

Hello again, we both have good taste dont we? I have the edt in Presence and i like it, but i think that maybe i had tried the edp the first time and maybe thats why i didnt like it, i think the edp is probably the best one to go for, let me know how you go, see ya Helen.

yeah........ i also found that the eau de parfum smelt very much like angel for the first half hour. a few hours later it had changed though.....and the resemblance was gone. frankly, towards the end i did not like it very much !

i tried this fragrance in both edp as well as edt....... i usually prefer edp in most perfumes but surprisingly in this case the edt is better. the edp is heavy and as an earlier post says it gives you a headache after a while....... but by then the edt has blended so nicely with your skin that you just get whiffs of it through the day and feel sooo good. maybe the edp is a better choice for the evening or a formal occasion.

I dont know what happened since my last post but i luv this one now, it still smells of aftershave to me but now i luv it, i often have this happen to me with fragrances i might not like them at first, but on second or third try i fall in love with them, funny things these frags.

Presence is a rich and lovely oriental destined to become a classic. Its finished off nicely with a pineapple note over a layering of bold oriental spices much like Todd Oldham's perfume. Great lasting power without being overwhelming. Glad I bought this - LOVE it.

I own this, and at first is so interesting, but for me not wearable. After awhile it does get a little heavy almost like men's cologne. I think of pineapple to be fresh and fruity so I can't really grasp the idea of it presented in an oriental fragrance. Oh well, maybe one day I'll get it and fall in love with it a second time around!

This to me also smelled of aftershave! Must admit I liked it when I first sprayed but then it dried down smelling like an aftershave my husband wears.

Okay, maybe I'm just not getting this one. Tried it on the basis of your reviews posters, and here's what I come up with. At first spray, this scent lures me in with that "Angel-like" beginning of something fruity (presumably the pineapples). Then the scent develops into something more like a man's aftershave. Now if I concentrate, I can say "pineapples" versus aftershave, and get the sense of fruit back. Is that weird or what?! Truly, I have never had a scent do this to me quite like this one. Wore it to the dentist's office yesterday, and the dental assistant raved about how nice I smelled, and wanted to know what my perfume was. Don't know if I smelled good to her because it's a lovely female scent, or if she liked it because it reminds her of Mel Gibson. Was afraid to ask. So I guess I'll keep it, for now. Last but not least, you know what I'm going to say . . . yes, yet another STUPID bottle that in this case, must sit upside-down in the perfume stash. Clever, NOT!!! I have already held it backwards and sprayed my hand instead of my chest; sprayed the mirror instead of me, etc., etc. Aargh!!! Just somebody design me a normal bottle, PLEASE! I will gladly pay more for a less clever bottle!!! Call me a clutz if you want, but I just want my perfume bottles to be ergonomically designed and not require a degree in engineering to figure out how to use them.

I was thinking that there was another lovely scent that Presence reminded me of... and you hit it right on the nose :) I'm wearing Presence today and really enjoying it... A little rain outside but the warmth and sparkle of 'Presence D'une Femme' really brightens up my day :)

I just purchased this fragrance without testing it based on the positive reviews. Maya's review is right on the nose. This fragrance is delicious and pretty. I love how it smells like a cross between Obsession / Mademoiselle and yummy pineapple.

Hi Brittnee, I think that Mont Blanc Presence is just a wonderful fragrance -- I'm sure you can see that from my past reviews. As for it reminding me of another scent, like I mentioned before it does slightly remind me of Obsession, (but much nicer), and a little bit of Burberry... more the dry-down. I think someone said that it reminds her of Angel, and even though I would have to say that Presence has that richness about it, the scent is way different. If you like rich scents like Casmir by Chopard for example you will most likely love this one too. Hope this helps, Maya

This is a lovely fragrance. I tend to like richer vanilla scents like burberry brit, but this comes close. The dry down smells like chocolate. Yummy!!!

I am considering buying this one based on ratings and reviews, but I'd like to know what to compare it to if it smells like any other fragrance out there.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that Presence also slightly reminds me of Burberry London. It does not actually smell like it, but it has that same sensual sweetness to it... Did I say I love this stuff? Well I do! :)

I tried it on yesterday at the store and just had to have it! I usually hesitate to spray on my skin right away, (that bad experience with Anna Sui is still with me LOL), but I really wanted to try it even just from smelling the bottle. This fragrance is both exotic and classy. But also very sexy, seductive and mysterious smelling. I am wearing it this morning and on the drive to work, it crossed my mind, "Could this really be the one? MY SIGNATURE SCENT?" Yet, even though I know that I would not be able to wear the same scent day in and out, I know that Presence will be the one I will enjoy very much, and will get a lot of time on my skin. Now on the other hand, it does have a slight resemblance to Obsession, but I never wore Obsession - it never attracted my attention, Presence however I do LOVE! So if you like Obsession and are getting tired of it here is something else to try...

I don't like it at all. Smells like i wear a man after-shave. I'll never put that camomille scent on me.

I was in London the day this perfume came out, years ago. I bought it on the spot and have worn it everyday since. I get compliments on it all the time; I love it because it's a unique scent. I prefer it when people don't instantly know what I'm wearing.

At first I wondered why I would want a perfume that smells like pineapples. But I kept with it. I have found that perfumes are like new acquaintances and it takes awhile to get to know someone. Little by little more is discovered. This is how it's been with Presence. The pineapple thing took a little getting used to seeing I live in the tropics and have pineapples in my kitchen almost every week. But the bottle, looking so gorgeous in my bathroom, kept luring me back. And now I take a squirt whenever I am in the mood for an uplift. And it has grown on me. Now I find it intoxicating in all its pineapple splendor. It is sweet and stays sweet, pineapple all the way. Others comment on different reactions to it. I would recommend it as a distinct, clear, summery, uplifting kind of experience. It's one that demands attention. And best of all, the person that gave it me loves it so my husband deserves to smell it on me!

Smells cheap to me. It is long lasting, but doesn't improve with time.

Classic but unusual, gentle but wild. Simply intoxicating. And VERY erotic.

This was an unexpected gift. At first I wondered if it wasn't just another generic marine scent but then a burst of something exotic (pineapple) and then something amber and then a long lasting fascinating fruity thing. Great staying power for an eau de toilette. A definite good investment and for me, a keeper!

I read the comments about it and I bought it. It's just perfect. From now on it will be one of my favorites along with Allure and Coco

I like it a lot! It reminds me of Angel Innocent by TM or the first Burberry and some All abou Eve!, but much better! I just have a little sample and I love it! My favourite fragrance is Samsara, but I don't smell it anymore on my skin! I need a change maybe. This one seems to be the "one"! I still have to test it better because perfumes changes a lot on my skin eveyday. I usually like strong floral and oriental fragrances, but this one has a very minty note (maybe too much) that makes it discreet and not too overpowering.

I am a self confessed perfume addict and have been wasting vast sums of money searching high and low for my 'perfect' signature scent, only to find that once I thought I'd found it and bought it, it wasn't really me after all. The first time I smelt Presence d'une Femme I knew that I'd found what I'd been looking for. It is SO gorgeous and classy. It reminds me of a cross between the best bits of Coco Mademoiselle and Allure and although it's only eau de toilette it is strong and lasts longer than other eau de parfums I own. It smells very expensive, it's not too spicy, or too flowery or too fruity or too green or powdery, it's just perfect!

first time i used mont blanc was my 9th grader (daughter) back to night i had gain alot of weight due to meds size 14 she is in rotc and avid she intrduce me to her classmates and they ALL came fast around my PRESENCE to say hi the day my daughter said to me mom everyone like you alot!

Tried this one yesterday and I was really impressed. So much so that I bought a gift set with the lotion. Smells fresh, a little spicy....but oh so good. Very sexxxxy!

When i read all your comments I decided not to buy it, so i borrowed it and i regret not buy it before!. As you know, everyone has preferences for a kind of fragance, so if you like oriental floral, feminine, strong (because you want everyone to smell you!), and specially unique fragances...THIS IS THE FRAGANCE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! If you like that everyone note your presence, buy presence by Mont Blanc.

I bought it today.It is GREAT.

No, it doesn't smell anything like Hanae Mori or Angel *at all*. I have to admit I didn't put any on my skin... but I was very put off when I took a whiff from the bottle. The pineapple note seemed very strong to me, and artificial smelling. Kind of reminded me of a Jolly Rancher or Cruzan pineapple rum or something. Take that for what it's worth -- maybe the scent rocks on skin, but what I smelled in the bottle didn't make me want to find out.

hi, i must say this perfume is very nice in the beginning and then after a few hours all there is left is a smell of some herb like camomille .............and its not very nice !

I feel if you like fragrances similar to Obsession, a not so well known one- Krazy Krizia, and a new one Intrusion by Oscar de la Renta, or even Truth by Calvin Klein, then you will probably like Presence too. When I'm in a casual mood I like the more lighter scents that are more on the fruity side, but when I'm more serious and feeling more sexy then I prefer the stronger scents like this one. I really like it!!

Is this like Angel or Hanoi Mori ?

Tried it today. Very good staying power. a little too strong for my everyday taste but for evening/special occasion I'd consider it. Well balanced.

This is the most balanced scent I've ever tried! Nothing in it can be considered as "too much". On my skin it smells not so fruity, but sweet ambery, soft vanilic, a bit minty, without a hint of musk. This is what I was looking for a long time. The only strange thing about it is that the whole range of body products contains just a hint of fragrance, especially body lotion. I will look forward for more concentrated product like cream.

I smelled this one and got a sample from the Mont Blanc store. It is a very pretty fragrance but I don't think its me per se. I really like more of a floral green type of scent and this one is a little strong. It does smell good though, but I will wear the sample to work and see how I like it.

I smelled this one in Dillards and it smelled good. However, I haven't tried it on yet. I plan to though. I liked the smell a lot.

This perfume is absolutely Incredible. I highly recommend it for any occasion.
