OMG This is the best Perfume ever!!!!! I am so hooked on this perfume a friend gave me a sample 13 yrs ago and I have been hooked ever sience Dillards did bring it back for a while last year. and I stocked Up!!! I can't stop smelling my arm when I have it on! It Turns Me On When Iam Wearing so I wear it all the time.... My Husband Sure Does Not Complain @ All!!!!!!!!!!!! The Best Perfume Invented!!!!!!!!!!!!

i tried this fragrance today.........i so wanted to like it.....but was disappointed ! am so glad i tested it out before buying a 100 ml bottle ( which was my intent ). it did nothing for me......

smells like cigarettes ewwwww I sprayed it on and forgot and couldnt figure out why my wrist and sleeve smelt like cigarettes, I dont smoke so I eventually clued into the fact that it was the perfume. who on earth would like the smell of cigarettes. Ewwww

Like a vamped up, sexy Hanae Mori Butterfly. Givenchy has taken the fruity perfume and elevated it into the seductive realm. I want a bottle!

After wearing Hot Couture (edt) for a few years now, it still excites me everytime I wear it. I receive so many compliments on this one. And I am so happy that it is once again available for purchase in the U.S. For so long new bottles were only available in Europe & other countries. Hot Couture is the most unique perfume I have ever owned. I recently purchased Hanae Mori Edt (blue butterflies on box) & am loving it too. Also I am very fond of Calvin Klein Euphoria too. All of these are classified as woodsy orientals.

this is a nice fragrance but the ratings are pretty common which tells me everyone wears this one I like to have my own sig frag where I don't smell like everyone else

I am an perfume alcholic( if there is one) sounds crazy but true. Anyway I had the same problem one is darker and one is lighter I bought the darker one from "Perfumania" I hate some of those girls that work there anyway I bought the darker one and it smelt like it went bad or rancet no good smell. I just bought one the other day @ a retailer and it smells way different I dont get it may be if they sit in a box for a while they go bad what do you think? Love to hear any ones thoughts

it is the best sweet-fruity perfume

I know this scent is very popular and for good reason. I feel fabulous when i dab this on. Big confidence booster when you put on something that makes you feel glamorous and this does just that. I find it takes on a variety of smells depending on your body type. Smelled not so good on a few people i know but for me, it works! A definite jaw dropper.

This is my fave fragrance. I have lost count of the amount of times both women and men have asked ne what I am wearing. Distinctive perfume, but in a good way!

Smells great but everyone seems to have it and so I have stopped wearing this one. The only perfume other than Angel that i have bought a second bottle of WOW!

Long story-short. Lost my sense of smell in 1985,am a perfume addict. Over the years males and females have complimented me on the scent of HOT couture, men consider it very sexy. Heres the thing, I recently ordered 2 bottles of HOT. One from this site and one from another site. One bottle is much darker liquid than the other and the ingredients are different on the back of the box. So now I have to do tests on all my friends to see which bottle is fresher. So I guess they did change the ingredients and it does make a difference where you order from. Anyone know how to tell which year a bottle was marketed to see how old your bottle is when you buy it. Any comments would be helpful. PEACE

This is an extremely sexy fragrance. I only use it in the evening or when I go out dancing. I received a lot of compliments especially from the men asking me what I was wearing. There is something that seems to attract the opposite sex. Very long lasting and bold. I like it.

Ive just realised that Armania Mania (with white cap) also smells a lot like Hot Couture on drydown, even more than Versace Woman.

Basically I hate fragrance with fruit note inside of it. But not with Hot couture. This fragarnce has fruit notes but it doesn't dominate the overall notes. The fruit notes is balanced with other notes where it makes the fragrance smells nice and elegant.This is my first favourite fragrance with fruit notes inside of it.

Versace Woman is also very similar, minus the smokey note of Hot Couture, try it its really nice!

I usually like strong perfumes and wear them regardless what the season is. But this one is definitely a winter scent. I like it, though I'm not crazy about it.

This out of all the fragrances i wear (Wish, Alien, Lolita Lempicka, Flowerbomb, Burberry Brit Red, Boudoir, Euphoria and Nina by Nina Ricci to name a few) is my signature scent all my friends know it and so do my family. If they ever smell this on anyone other than me they all say 'oh you smell like Louise' i adore it and when i first got it 7 years ago it was another story. I thought it smelt like cigarettes (strange because now i dont smell that note at all) but i took it on a holiday to greece with me and fell in love with it. The EDT is soooo much better than the EDP. The EDP is nothing like the sweet sexy EDT. Its ashame i cant get hold of it much now i rely on internet sales and ebay to get it. England doesnt appreciate the beauty of my signature scent, I LOVE IT!

I wasn't a huge fan of the edp verson, now I've pruchased the edt, and it is all I've been looking for so long. Sexy raspeberry, and in a veryelegante way. Very good lasting power, this is is my favorite Givenchy now.

Never been a fan of sweet, fruity fragrances but you need to give Hot Couture time to dry down. After the initial blast of raspberries it warms to a creamy amber pepper scent infused with vetiver. It's unique, classic and will garner compliments. This has beem re-released as the edt.

I have been wearing this perfume for 4 years. I think my first bottle was a gift from someone. I don't wear anything else. I have tried and have had NO success finding a scent this recognizable. It's not in stores anylonger but you can find it almost anywhere online. Amazon usually has good prices. I first purchased hot couture in 2001 and have loved ever since. someone told me they changed the formula, but i still love it. maybe it's the raspberry

I love this one and couldn't find in 4 a while in stores here in Miami, but around x-mas saw the edp and immediately bought the big bottle. Since then I saw it in a few different specialty fragrance stores, so maybe u should just look around more carefully instead of saying "sayonara" 2 it? Big department stores only sell the classics and what's trendy right now, so it's hard 2 find something really special there. The only thing about this scent - doesn't last 2 long on me so have 2 reapply it more often.

The original Van Cleef & Arpels perfume. It is so nice-warm & RASPBERRYISH. It has great staying power & is very womanly. Although I think suited for mature & strong women only. A good one to alternate w/ Hot Couture.

One that smells alike (although quality is not as good) is Puma -in the silver & metallic light purple box-it may be easier to come by for those of you who've been searching for Hot with no luck. Of course, there are other websites that carry this, although I don't know how fresh their supplies are. If you like berry-laced fragrances with a spicy kick Gucci 2 can't be beat; although its sweeter, fresher & less womanly, & probably more appropriate for daytime use, unlike our precious Hot Couture. Another berry-scented perfume is Promesse-although its blackberry-they have to make more fragrances with raspberry notes that are good like Hot, & not too sweet, like Hanae Mori. Connexion is good, if you like berries, but not womanly, girlishly sexy- but if that sounds like you its definitely worth a sniff (or two)!!!!!!!!! If I find any others worth comparing in some way, I'll post 'em. Try new stuff its so much fun!!!!!!!!

Okay, I received my EDP version. I have always worn & loved the EDT. In my opinion the EDP is much stronger not just in strength, but the really strong notes as well. I found it to be less raspberry & more pepper. Which I did not care for. What I love most about Hot Couture is the raspberry note. So I sold my bottle of EDP on ebay & ordered the EDT version which I received yesterday & am so happy. It is like love @ 1st smell for me. I orginally bought this in Paris & every time I get a new bottle it just takes me back to that week I was in Paris & sprayed it on in my hotel every morning. I have heard people saying it smells like "stale cigarettes", I just can't see where that comes from. All I smell in the EDT is elegance, raspberry with a woodsy kick. Perfect for someone that doesn't want a total fruity perfume, but still wants to smell elegant, a bit fruity, & majorly classy all at the same time. So point being for me highly recommed the EDT, cause the EDP turned too peppery on my skin & didn't make me feel quite as wonderful when I wore it.

This DOES smell like stale ciggarettes. And what's ever left over for a smell stinks and doesn't stay long...which is good!

Gloria, This is in response to your post asking for a replacement for Hot Couture. Have you tried Mania by Armani? They smell quite similar, at least to me, and Mania is readily available almost anywhere. Good luck!

I have always worn the EDT version. I have had much better luck with finding the EDP version online & actually just ordered the EDP version from Perfume Emporium. I am a little worried & am hoping that the EDP isn't too strong. Does anyone have experience in the 2? I am hoping that the only difference in the EDT & EDP is that the EDP will last longer which would be great. But the EDT lasts so long on me that I don't want to over do it with the EDP. Any advice will be great. I guess though at this point I have already ordered the EDP & it should arrive soon, so I better like it! :) Thanks

When I wear it I feel it is a mix of tobacco and tutti-frutti gum. But in other people I admit it smells lovely and actually HOT ! What a pitty...

I purchased this perfume in Paris 2 years ago & fell in love. This is my all time favorite. You can't get it in the states any longer, but it is readily available, even on perfume emporium. Also Givenchy does still make the fragrance but it is only available in stores in other countries, France being one of them. So don't feel like we have to give this one up, it is still being made and we can get it online. I am so excited, I have a 2nd bottle arriving next week. I always get so many compliments and the EDT lasts so long on your skin and clothes. I feel like this perfume was made for me and my chemistry. The raspberry is perfect! It isn't too sweet though, or too young, just young enough and beautifully classic.

Why is everyone kissing this fragrance goodbye? I've seen it on other perfume outlets, just google & find it...geez!

I have been wearing Hot Couture since 1999 when it first came out. It is bold, strong, confident and vibrant - just like all the other ladies I know who wear it. It doesn't go off in night clubs or when you perspire a lot, and smells just the same in winter as it does in summer. It's beautifully blended and its smell doesn't overwhelm! I've always loved Givenchy and have been loyal to four or five fragrances, but I will miss nothing as much as I will miss Hot Couture! If anyone can suggest a good replacement, I'm dying to know of one. Please!

I originally bought this for my ex-girlriend.She loved it.Today I bought this for a very special lady.No, smelling this on my new love interest will not will not remind me of my ex.I want to smell this on all the women in my life.I will eventually buy this for my mother and sister.I originally was going to buy Givenchys Light Blue, which is a great and different smelling perfume , but I decided to play it safe with Hot Couture.You just cant go wrong with this one.The bottle and scent are beautiful. Is this discontinued? Its getting hard to find and the price has been jacked up.If a woman likes this, she has excellent taste.

yes, this fragrance is being discontinued and that is do to low sales in retail stores. I love the smell and the men that I work with love the smell, but if not enough women smell the same and buy the same then it does not make sense to keep a fragrance in the stores. And yes, if you have the light bottle, it is not the same as the dark bottle. The light bottle was a special for Christmas one year and I was informed that the black bottle was very close to it, but not exact. Buy what you can from .coms now, because the stores have cleaned out what they have of this fragrance.

Wonderful, long lasting and not over-powering scent! Always get loads of compliments from both women and men! Bottle has changed but not the scent!

believe me, I like sweet fruity perfumes but this one. I tried it once and i must say I loved it but after a while I realized it just smelled like rasperry and pepper, a very childish and unsophisticated fragrance. It may work if you really want to draw attention to you. I imagine the woman wearing this as beeing kinda slutty, blonde head, girly girl.

This is my favorite fragrance, I have been wearing it for 4 years. I have gone through at least a dozen bottles. I get compliments all the time; unfortunately you can't buy it in many stores that used to sell it, but many places online sell it at a decent price and I sometimes still see it being sold by private perfume vendors in NYC. I also highly recommend the body wash and body veil if you are able to find it at a good price. Just dont make the mistake of buying the Hot Couture White Collection fragrance; that smells like pure bug spray mixed with some artificial floral smell.

I agree with the reviewer who was commenting on the changed bottle. I also think the scent has changed. I just received my new bottle and have been comparing it to the old bottle and everything seems different. It doesn't have the same packaging, scent or ingredients! I am really disappointed.

This smells absolutely unique in a sexy yummy way. Cant stop smelling it. Hot Hot Hot, but not in a cheap way. Very classy.

hello: could someone explain me why givenchy had change the bottle so many times, it used to be darker, then a bit pink and now they took the pretty lady out!..., its not the same any more, i feel almost like they´ve changed the smell of it too

hot couture has become one of my favourite perfumes, my long life love is cabotine by gres, but hot couture is beyond excellent, its very sweet and confrontational, but at the same time extremely sexy, because its not a naive sweetness at all.

My sister has been wearing this one off and on for a while now. It's an interesting fragrance to me as I find this drawn-out smell of tobacco in it. It's a bit on the heavy side however & because of that I could never wear it myself, but regardless I still like something about it :)

I found out about this perfume when I was vacationing in the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana with my husband and family. My husband smelled this perfume on another girl and stopped her and asked her what the fragrance was -he liked it so much. He bought me a huge bottle and I have worn it ever since. I ran out of it now and am having a hard time getting a new bottle. I miss it! It is my absolute favorite of all time!

I've just got a bottle of EDT(I could never wear EDP, it was just tooo much for me..) and it is amazing! Still the same notes, but lighter and not "in your face". Beautiful,highly recommended ;-)

This perfume if it mixes with your body chemistry is completely HOT! I have never met a man that doesn't think it is delectable. I think it has phermones in it.

Hot Couture, Lolita Lempicka and Maroussia. Three favourite daytime perfumes: Esencia de Duende, Emporio Armani and Noa. In Spain HC is not being discontinued and it is very easy to find it on most stores

Okay, WHY would they discontinue this scent??? Are they crazy? Why does this always happen to me??? First lime Starburst in first grade, then my favorite face cream (L'Oreal HydraFresh) and now the absolute best perfume ever invented???? This is the only one I get compliments on all the time!!!! Okay, Givenchy is getting a long, long letter from me - we should start a petition. In the meantime I am going to stock up online and blow my paycheck right now. This is so horribly sad.

this stuff is amazing. I guess some people react to it the way I react to Poison (smells like cough syrup) - it all depends on how it behaves with your body chemistry. You can't judge it by the way it smells in the bottle. I got a sample at a Peter Gabriel concert and tried it out - I had guys falling all over me asking "WHAT are you WEARING???" I LOOOVE it - makes me feel all spicy and sexy! I finally found my "magic" perfume!

I don't know what you guys purchased, but if you buy the "eau de parfum" there's TONS of scent to it! I use one spray and it lasts me the entire day...

This is a sweet raspberry essence...reminds me of the smell of artificial raspberry flavoring, but in a good way. I think this is a unique standout!

I was relieved to read what "Gloria" posted on here as I had purchased the tester size to "try" this fragrance only to find almost no scent at all? When it dried down it was all but gone? Very Strange?

Why are you so surprised that people smell raspberries? It has that ingredient in the fragrance. At first when you spray it on, major raspberry, but then it dries down to a sweet but peppery smell. The teller at the bank said I smelled like candy...he liked it alot... I don't particularly want to smell that sweet, cause I'm not... Nice though...

I don't understand why people are saying that it smells like rasberries. I never got that scent from it. Or musky. I hate musky perfumes, but I love Hot Couture, I don't see how it smells musky. I know everyones body chemistry is different, but a lot of people have the same opinion about the smell, and I just don't see it. Thats all.

From the first time I took in a whiff of a sample bottle of Hot Couture I fell in love with it. I got myself a pretty sized bottle of the stuff, put it on, and it smelled completely different, almost too overwhelming at first. After I got the hang of its strength, I learned that I don't need to put on so much for the smell to be appearant. After that I started using one squirt a day, and it would last me all day, and it wouldnt be to strong, but still noticable. Now I have been using Hot Couture for 3 years and I still love the sweet smell. Moral of the story, if you don't use so much, it won't be so overwhelming, and you may actually love it.

Fist exposed to the perfume by two gorgeous brothers in San Diego. They went back and forth about the name "Fire Culture?" Hot Culture?"..They told me they knew a woman who wore this amazing perfume that drove them wild. When I finally went to buy it I found it to actually be "Hot Couture". My initial reaction was 'too spicy and too sweet--there is NO WAY this is the perfume they were talking about'. After I put it on myself, the scent seemed to change into something that actually was irresistable to me and everyone who smelled me. I only where it it night--because it is expensive and really too strong and heavy for daytime use. Like most people who use it I have noticed that I am constantly being asked what I am wearing by women and constantly being complimented by men. I was upset to find the intriguing scent was dicontued, but I just purchased 2 of the larger bottles online. Thank God for online shopping!

i first smelled last year it when my sister bought it and finished half the bottle she had to hide it from me. this is the best perfume i have ever smelled. it is so sexy and sweet, i cant stop sniffing my arm. i get so many compliments when i wear it, and i hardly do when wearing any other. when my friends hug me they just keep on sniffing. unfortunatly my friend went to buy it from hechts but they told her it was discontinued :(. for those out there who are just as addicted to this beautiful scent, until i get this one, do you recommend any other perfumes that are similar? i have been ordering some from online and i havent had much success in finding one i really like.

I simply adore this delicate, yet rich fragrance, there is nothing like it, though i have tried lots of perfumes. It will always be my favourite, there is something about it that gives me a feeling of tranquility and deep love, surrounds me with beautiful memories. I first received it from my ex boyfriend, a very stylish man, and an expert in perfumes. I highly recomend it to beautiful, delicate, attractive young women everywhere.

I love this scent. I've been wearing it since it came out about two years ago. I like it because it smells a bit different than some of my other scents--and it's unique on me. I get many compliments on it and my husband likes it as well.--I had a young gal at the mall come up to me once and ask if I was wearing Hot Couture. Weird, but flattering none-the-less.

The version you purchased is really new collection. It is the same smell, only wrapping is different. :)) There is still some Collection no.1 in our shops, but we have also new collection.

The version you purchased is the EDT. The original black bottle version is the edp. I find the version you have to be lighter, not as peppery. However, personally, I think I like the original better.

To me this reminds me of my pecil case smell at school... like pencil shavings, smelly erasers.... very nostalgic.

I Love the purfume, I have been wearing it for 2 years, just now starting to get a bit bored with it though. It reacts well with my skin and wears well but be warned it is a very sweet smell, it is not granny at all, just stick your nose in a punnet of raspberries and if you like the smell you will like this. Can be a bit sickly though, I am craving for something a little more classy and classic.

This one is great! I love the raspberry in it. Be sure to get the body lotion as well. It smells great and really compliments the perfume. This is my second favorite fragrance next to Mariella Burani.

I just heard that this fragrance gonna be discontinued for sure (the sales lady told me also !)! We're already don't have an original version I recieved as a gift two years ago (black, with a lady on it). I bought today EDP Hot Couture Collection Nr 1, the bottle is different and the fragrance is pink. Is this the same perfume ? Please help me ! I just tried it and it's lovely, but I'm not 100% it's exactly the same as the original that I had. I loved it so much and it's just not fair !!!!!

Love, love this fragrance. Although it has been around for years, I only just recently discovered it. It smells like ripe raspberries with a slightly peppery spicey undertone....wonderful stuff. I haven't tried the bodylotion and no one has samples or testers. It is heavenly. I feel like it is like cotton raspberry candy light and fluffy. It smells the way I though Pink sugar would have smells. So glad to have discovered this one!

Hot couture smells great and whenever I wear it people, even strangers, ask what I'm wearing and compliment me on it. I noticed from some of the comments that some people can't stand it. Maybe it just doesn't smell good on your skin. A fair warning to all you ladies, please don't ever waste your money on the White version, it smells horrible! Also have any of you tried My Couture? I've heard of it but I have no clue of what it is like.

I really like this one and went and bought the 100ml bottle. Starts smoky and then the other notes start to appear, it seems light to start with but one spray lasts all day - a very different fragrance.

Purchased the bodycream first then the fragrance. Boy! Make sure you wear this when its cooler or colder! But you can wear just a little with discretion in the spring-summer months maybe in the evening. You can tone it down a bit for daytime by layering it with maybe a sweet lotion. Be gentle with blending!

I first fell in love with Hot Couture because of what I perceived as its aroma of the High Sierras - When I smell the drydown I can see and smell in my mind's eye motes of sun like golden colunms lighting up the forest floor and bringing to life the sweet balsam dust of towering fir, cedar, and pine trees. It's camping without the campfire! (For the campfire get Black Cashmere!) I own over thirty bottles of perfume (so far) and so I hadn't been wearing the Hot Couture very much lately, but put some on one evening recently on a whim and my most precious, wonderful, beautiful eight-year old daughter Anastasia went nuts! She grabbed my arm and couldn't stop smelling! Now she knows - "The bottle with the lady in it" - is her favorite perfume. I let her wear it too. I almost think I should make it my sig scent so she can have the memories. (She is not too fond of another new big fave of mine, Cabochard.) Oh, by the way, she has Excellent taste. Just because she likes it doesn't mean it is for little girls!

I like the eau the toilette version wich is sweeter and less spicier.

This is an all-time favorite for me! It smells wonderful on me -- a little bit "cedarish" (think cedar trees) with a little bit of sweetness thrown in too. I get SO MANY compliments when I wear this -- it's my signature fragrance for cooler months.

I am extremely disappointed that Hot Couture is being discontinued. This is the only scent I've ever loved and I wear it every day. I have gotten tons of compliments on it and my boyfriend absolutely loves it.

I understood that the White Collecion of Hot Couture was being discontinued, or was actually a limited run of that fragrance. PLEASE DO NOT tell me that the original Hot Couture is also being discontinued!!! I love them both!!! About 15 years ago when the Evyan company was sold, Most Precious (also sweet and feminine) was discontinued. Does anyone know if Givenchy is REALLY discontinuing the original Hot Couture??? When one has a "signature fragrance" discontinued, it's very difficult to replace!!

it is fabulously sexy and i have never had as many male compliments about a perfume. its fruity sweet and very much rasberry like but i have to agree that it is very brown up and very glamorous. it is not a day fragrance by all means but in the evening it works wonders.because it just attracts so much attention! I can compare it in a way with cheap and chick my moschino. they are two different fragrances but they both deliver this kind of sexy grown up thin yet pungent sweet aroma that brings out femininety, and its very womanly.

Amy, I don't think this one is discontinued. You probably think on Hot Couture White which was a limited edition. Hot Couture is a nice scent: warm and sweet, but not too syntheticly sweet. Strong on raspberry and chocolate smell. Not too spicy. Fruity-floral-spicy perfume, I would say. The bottle is IMHO very nice.

I am reallly upset that Givenchy has decided to discontinue Hot Couture. It is one of the few fragrances that I LOVE!!!

Hot Couture is a fruity scent but not like the others that seem too young and immature... this one's mysterious and very "deep" in a way... I do admit just like every fragrance there'll be people that it won't work with based on different skin chemistry... but if you can pull this one off it really IS deliciously sexy!!! It reminds me of fine wine... dark and elegant, yet still delicious...

i love this perfume. i was lucky to find the set (1 fl. oz EDP & cream) for a fairly decent price... at first, i hated the smell - it was way too sweet. but as it dried, it took on a lovely quality that i just loved. my usual perfumes are by woman by dolce & gabbana and ysatis by givenchy, and all are sweet, so i'm not surprised i liked this one so much. i actually got a manufacturer's defect, without the image engraved at the back of the bottle and without the little stand that allows the bottle to stand on its own, but that was quickly rectified. i love the bottle as well... a real work of art! =)

I have never received so many compliments from MEN regarding ANY other perfume I have worn. This is the sexiest scent I own!

a bit sweet at first but then all I need now is a fantastic gown to compliment this scent.

this is an interesting perfume that starts off very rasberryish then dries down to a nice musky woody scent. at first i wasn't sure i'd like it, but then i had to have it. you should definately try it on your own skin because we all have different chemistries. i think it's a good scent for all ages.

This ranks up there in the top 5 of most disgusting and puzzling fragrances ever! It smells just awful would not recommend. DO NOT BUY unless you are a granny

This is completely unbalanced perfume, cloying, synthetic and sweet in a cheap way. Not complex enough, the cheap liquid in a beautiful bottle. What did they in Givenchy think???

I just bought this perfume after reading a lot of descriptions and reviews I thought i would really like it. But it is not nice at all. The first part of raspberry lingers, and then after awhile on me it seemed like a raspberry, spicy peppar, musky floral concoction. To me this smells cheap and like it is not quite balanced right. Also, at first the intense raspberry made it seem like at drugstore teen fragence, but then it turns into an old-lady type scent. btw, to let you know where i am coming from, some that i do like are Lolita Lempicka, Burberry london, kenzo flower, hanae mori, angel, boudoir, and libertine. I recommend you try one of these instead.

GREAT,SEXY,LONG LASTING!

I am very late in discovering this wonderful scent! Why didn't anyone tell me?? For me, it's become one of those "dressing table staples" that stands (or falls over, per that darling lop-sided bottle!) at the ready for those occasions when I can't quite decide what to put on. Men, women, children - even dogs, according to Laura! - like H.C. By it's description, H.C. is intended to be, maybe a formal, evening scent. But really, it's much more versatile than that.

This is the fragrance that everyone notices on me... I've been stopped in the grocery store, at work, and out at dinner because it smells so good and people just want to know what it is...

This fragrance is sooo special that you are noticed everywhere you go! I am French, live in Bordeaux, and love perfumes, but this is THE ONE on which I get the more compliments! Especially when I go out... It is really magic! Really classy, sexy and original, I just LOVE it! This is really efficient to meet cute guys! ;-)

I first noticed this perfume on someone else and I loved it on her because to me it smelled like the great outdoors - especially the evergreen scent of the high Sierras along with the sweet propolis smell of a river at night. I bought it for myself and feel so fresh and sweet and warm and sexy in it. Other top faves of mine are Lolita Lempicka, Escada Collection, Angel, and Hypnotic Poison.

After reading all the reviews here, I decided to try my sample. I was especially looking forward to the "cotton candy" smell. And it is kind of there but there is also a lingering powdery/vanilla smell with it that I don't like. I still think it's a pretty smelling fragrance but I'm not too strong on powdery soft scents. (For example, among others, I love Happy, Baby Doll, Ralph, Tommy Girl Summer). However, my chis were both after me, sniffing my wrist, after I sprayed it...it was quite funny!! ;)

I wear this perfume almost every day. . . and every day I get at least two compliments on it! The only draw back is that like every other scent, I get used to it and can't smell it after awhile. I'm so addicted to it, I could smell it all day and never get sick of it! But, everyone else can smell it and they love it!

I adore both the original and the White Collection. I love the way I feel when I wear them. I was told by the fragrance lady at Famous Barr that the White Collection will be discontinued. That is a shame! I like the White for day and the original for special nights! EDP and EDT are abreviations for what terms?

I just love it!!! It smells like cotton candy and has just enough of a peppery note to make the fragrance interesting and kind of smoky (so you don't smell like a fruity body splash). The drydown is warm and powdery. Buy this if you have a sweet tooth and love to stand out. You'll definately get noticed!!!

this perfume has a hint of cherries , pepper and a bit of coconut and vanilla i guess.And its a very unique perfume . Givenchy has done a wonderful job !

I just bought a bottle of this yesterday at TJ Max. I sprayed the sample and couldn't believe how delicious it smelled. Like cotton candy. Just had to have it.

I cannot believe how amazing this smells! Pure heaven! I am so addicted to this fragrance I could wear it every single day and not get sick of it. My number one fragrance ever. This is my absolute favorite along with Angel by Thierry Mugler, but better. I have to smell this every time I go to the mall and see it, it's that good. I've never found a perfume I have adored so much and if they ever discontinue it I will be grief-stricken. I so hope they don't. Maybe I'll stock up on it now. I can't even find it at many stores at the mall. Sephora doesn't even have it. I love the "dark" raspberry note that is complemented so well by the slight pepper note. It smells somewhat like a delectable and sexy raspberry-vanilla cotton candy or maybe a delicious raspbery creme brule with that burnt-sugar smell/taste. I discovered it when I smelled this on a colleague at work and I had to ask what it was and ever since then, I have loved it. I love it especially after it dries down into a beautiful smoky oriental fruity spicy scent that's incredibly appealing, although it smells good from beginning to end. It lasts and lingers on the skin long after it's been put on. A very beautiful and unique scent. I like it better than the White Hot Couture, that's for sure. The trick is in not putting on too much, as it is a strong fragrance, but a deliciously sexy one. I actually think this is the best perfume ever made!! It's incredible and it's good that it is not a known fragrance so not many people wear it. This is my signature scent and I'm so glad I've found it. Great job Givenchy!

Your body chemistry will change the fragrance (sometimes a little, sometimes quite a bit). If you wear it on your clothing or in your hair, it will stay the same great smell as in the bottle!! I LOVE this fragrance so I make sure to keep it the same as in the bottle!

I saw the new version "My Couture" - pretty good, almost the same base notes but lighter than "Hot Couture". Is it only a limited edition?

I recently purchased this for myself for my birthday (gotta love the gift of money!) and the more I wear it, the more I love it! It is an awesome scent that gets great compliments from the guys as well as the gals. This is one to try. The bottle is pretty cool too!

I did not like Hot Couture at all when I first wore it -- too sharp, and it made my eyes water. However, I bought the body lotion and it made a great difference in the EDP, smoothed it out a lot. I also have learned to wear the EDP not too close to my face, just at the wrists and knees.

Apart from the raspberry note, Hot Couture smells EXACTLY like Salvador Dali (his first fragrance) so this is not original at all. Who do these fragrance houses think they're fooling? Dali's bottle is at least a lot nicer. It's powdery, woodsy and sweet. It's the woodsy magnolia which doesn't appeal to me.

Your description of this...liquid is dead on accurate.It's harsh,the overwhelming syrupy sweet notes cannot hide the underlying bitterness,the peppery stuff is overdone and ill balanced,the whole composition goes from bad to worse from the moment you put it on,I mean this is one bad brew.However, one of my sisters swears by its bug repelling qualities...And when one of her kids got car sick during a long trip,a sample of Hot Couture was the only thing strong enough to mask the odor of...well,you know.

I absolutely love this perfume because it appeals to everyone I know. My friends think it smells great, and the guys think it's sooo sexy. The only negative thing about it is that it is a bit too strong, but it's ok if you use a small amount (which lasts very well). I noticed a weird thing about it though when i went clubbing last weekend: once guys smell you (even when you add the right amount), they don't notice other perfumes. It's like one whiff of this scent cancels out all other scents - which is good if you wanna be noticed, or your friend wears a yucky perfume :-)

Smelled overwhelming of pepper, spices and a cloyingly sweet sugary smell, all mixed together. It might have been the way it reacted with my body chemistry, but I couldn't stand the odor.

To LEE JOHNSEN - You must be refering to Loulou by Cacharel. Cacharel makes also "Loulou Blue" which is a much lighter version than the original Loulou.

I love this frangrance. It is a long lasting smell that can be worn at work or going out. Out of the bottle it smells like cotton candy, but on it is SO SEXY!

Raspberry with a capital RASP. It's not sickeningly sweet like many raspberry scents, though; it's just tart enough to be fresh-smelling. With a sweet, heavy ambery base, it's not for every day, but it can be fun to wear now and again.

As much as I love it, I stopped wearing it. On 2 separate occasions (once in church and once in the grocery store) a person standing next to me kept sniffing and saying "I smell menthol. Do you have Vicks VapORub on." The first time I figured the person was just nuts, but when it happened again a month later, I realized my skin chemistry must just not handle this fragrance well. It's a shame because I loved it, but now when I smell it, I think "menthol" too.

Givenchy really has their act together when it comes to fragrance. This Hot Couture seems to be another one of those love it-hate it scents, but everything about this fragrance from the scent to the bottle is ART! Whether we like them or not, I think that sometimes we need to see things like this product coming out of the perfume industry just to shake things up a little bit!

Hot is such a clean,crisp fragrence! I don't like flowery perfumes. Hot is invigorating!! Our dept. store, The Bon-Ton had a teriffic buy, the 1.7 oz. bottle plus 2 smaller bottles plus body lotion & shower gel for under $60.00 - excellent deal for such a fine perfume!!

The scent reminds me of Pi for men but with rasberries mixed in. It so off the cuff right down to the bottle that I love it. I loved Pi for men and I also happy with Hot Couture, Givenchy has been coming out wiht some great different scents lately. jil

At first I didn't like this at all because I only passed the tester and took and whiff out of it and went ick! But after you try it on skin, the initial sharpness turns into this wonderful sweet berries & burnt sugar kind of scent! Reminds me of Angel, Wish, or Lolita when on -- not exactly, but sort of that same category. I just love it and I get lots of "what are you wearing?" questions. I think though I've worn too much at times because I've gotten comments from a long way from me -- probably a little goes a long way. But it's just beautiful on -- you have to try it on for the full effect; the first whiff from tester really does change a lot once it's dried down on the skin. It's probably my current favorite.

My husband took me shopping for christmas to buy me some more Hypnotic Poison. The salesman at Dillards (who was very good I might add) told my husband that I needed to try Hot Couture if I liked sweet perfumes. I tried it and fell in love with it!!!! I have been looking for a fragrance that none of my friends wear and I found it, now all of them want a bottle of it!! Try it girls...you'll love it!!!

I have quite a similar experience like Bryana and HRBETTYBOOP. At first, when I tried it in a store, I hated this fragrance and thought it was disgusting, overpowering and agressive. But after I got a sample and wore it couple of days I've changed my mind. Hot Couture is kind of *nutritiuos-type* perfumes, like Angel and Chopard's Wish, but those are more chocolate-like, and Hot Couture reminds you of raspberries and other sweet fruits. Fruity-spicy fragrance. And I suggest you to put just a little, it's enough!! Great for fall-winter, it warms you up a little bit and create a better, sunny mood in these cloudy days. And in the case you don't know - there is EDT version now, not only EDP. I haven't tried it yet, but it could be better than EDP (because my biggest concern was that EDP is maybe a bit too heavy). Sorry for my English! YES, AND I HAVE TO SAY: IN MY OPINION THE BOTTLE IS JUST GREAT!!!

I find this perfume nauseating when I first put it on. After about 10 minutes it smells alot better. Unfortunately because of this initial "yuck" factor I have a hard time wearing it often. Too bad I have a huge bottle of it.

I abolustely LOVE Hot Couture and did from the time I received a sample in my newspaper. I can only wear a couple of fragrances without getting ill smelling them, but Hot Couture is just right for me and I can't smell it after a short time but others can! I get many, many compliments about it and most have never heard about it. I'm intrigued by the shape and stance of the bottle! Come on, gals, get with some new style -not the usual - we only pass this way once, let's make the most of "difference"!!

On the frangrance, you've already said enough. Concerning the bottle, Ifind it very beautiful. So what if it can't stand on it's own? But anyway, I really think you shouldn't judge the fragrance by it's bottle. I mean, if it smells great, who cares?

Amazing. High aspberry notes pierce through a delicate veil of smoke. The bottle is the ugliest I've seen, though, and its slanted posture looks out of place amongst my other fragrances.

Hot Couture by Givenchy is an ultra-feminine, sexy fragrance! It has a sweet rasberry top note, and I think it has some magnolia in it as well. Then it has a woody, ambery base note. Wear this one when you're in a glamourous mood!
