Great product! It certainly doesn't smell as good as it used to when it was owned by the first company. It's a bit deluted.

If angels wore perfume, this would be it. It's haunting, ethereal and beautifullt feminine. My all-time favorite. I hoard this scent, as it's always sold out.

This one was a bit sweet for me at first, but after about a half hour the intial notes faded and the middle notes were a soft floral that was pleasant. I will wear it since I have it, but I wouldn't get it again. It was my mini of the month this month.

The bottle and purple liquid are really pretty. It looks like an elixir. The fragrance is gorgeous. It's dense.But when the wind blows around you the most luscious fragrance comes out. I love it.

I work in the fragrance industry & in IMHO, Hugo Boss Deep Red & Gale Hayman's SO Delicious (RED glass bottle) are the two closest scents & both cost less money; especially the second one. So if u can get a hold of samples of these or buy them for cheap, I think its well worth it. So Delicious sells for !5 bucks for a big bottle @ some Burlington Coat Factory. Happy sniffing: ]

I don't hate Angel, but I can not wear it. Anything with a high caramel top note just smells like poison on my skin. I've had luck lately with Princess by Vera Wang, Bobbi Brown Beach, Chanel Allure Sen., Chanel Allure, Neroli Jasmine edt. by the Body Shop, and my favorite right now is Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal. I start off with a lotion called Peaceful Patchouli by Kiss my face, and all my scents seem to have a really good base to set them off. I hope that gives you a few ideas, I hate being stuck in a fragrance rut!

I love love love this one. My husband always comments when I wear it. It's so feminine...floral with a hint of warmth. I love trying new perfumes but I'll always go back to this one.

Herve is also very similar to Ghost Deep Nite and All about Eve and also resembles Hypnose from Lancome but Hypnose is a little stronger, lovely scent.

Thanks a lot for the info! As I posted earlier, I love Burberry London and Hanae Mori, but hate Angel and Lolita Lempicka on me. I am so glad to know Herve is similar to Burberry London and that it is a little stronger/longer lasting. That's great! I do not like the taste or smell of licorice. Someone had posted that they thought Herve contained licorice notes. If that were true, I would be disappointed in it. I am buying a bottle of Herve and I think I will LOVE it. This does not smell anything like Lolita on me. I actually wear all the ones you listed: LL, Angel, Herve, Hanae Mori and Burberry (classic). It smells closest to Burberry but this one is much deeper and longer lasting. I hope this helps you!

Does this smell anything like Lolita Lempicka? I hate that fragrance on me...sickening licorice smell! I also hate Angel...patchouli smell! I love Burberry London and Hanae Mori. Some have posted on this site that Herve leger smells like licorice (which I do not like licorice). I want to try this fragrance if it isn't like Lolita of Angel,etc. I appreciate any help.

I really like both Burberry and Herve Leger. Leger however is a little more fun I think with all the licorice in it. Sort of a bit like Lolita but less strong. Still my favorite lilac clored perfume and there are lots of them coming out these days... Lolita and HL are the trend setters in this category IMO.

Herve Leger's signature fragrance is a Oriental Floral. The fragrance opens with the sparkling, fruity notes of Chinese osmanthus flower, water jasmine and black currant blossom. The soft purple orchid and the rich, feminine scent of matthiola follow. A voluptuous fusion of heliotrope, vanilla and precious sandalwood finish.

I just checked on the FragranceX.com they do not sell the Zen edp. by Shiseido. Go on the Perfume Mart.com Webside they do sell the Zen. There is on older Zen also, it's A black Bottle that is not the one, I heard that's to strong, you want to click on the New Zen, the Color of the Bottle is White, it will say New. I actually like this fragrance, but it gives me a headache (usually the headache means I HATE the fragrance). HL is floral, but musky, too, with a bit of almond. Can't pinpoint the element that doesn't work for my chemistry. So, I'm not sure what to do with this . . . wear HL and take Advil all day, or let it go and move on to something else. Exhibit A for "try before you buy."

I've recently acquired this one and love it. One of the best in my growing collection in fact, and here to stay. For sure a keeper! Smells heavenly, but my only concern is that I have to reapply often, I can't smell it after I sprayed about 10minutes into it, but still get compliments from others on a wonderful smell hours later. Ha! Maybe something’s wrong with my nose.

I have to say that you and Lizzie really have excellent taste and that I really love reading both of your reviews. Unfortunately, it was Lizzie who was helping me out with this one too, and I still have not had a chance to get a sniff of it anywhere... If it at all helps however, I too have heard here and a few other places that Herve Leger indeed does smell a lot like Burberrys. So Robin any new discoveries? I've seen a new Hugo Boss for ladies called Pure Purple and think that you might like it. It will be introduced to Shoppers Drugmarts across Canada. Hope you enjoy...

Hi Star... if you love more flowers, try Lulu Guinness... it's like skipping through a meadow of unbelievable flowers in spring! It's very feminine, light, and sweet but not too sweet. Give it a try! :-D

Hi, Maya! We have a friend in common, Lizzie, and I think you and I are both from Canada, so more in common! I think the three of us have similar tastes, and I was just wondering; I see you love Burberry London, which I also adore, and I've heard that Herve Leger (which we can't get in Vancouver) smells reminiscent of it, although the components seem to have little in common. What's your opinion on that score? Are they different enough that I should buy them both? What IS the difference, anyhoo? You and Liz love HL and I trust your noses implicitly!!!! it isn't exactly candy-sweet... it's ALMOST candy-sweet, but it's definitely NOT fresh/green/spring floral type. it's richer than that... definitely a floriental. try it! you'll love it! :-D

Maya, you're very welcome! from what i can tell, we totally have similar noses. this is not an aquatic/marine scent. it's very much a floriental, which we both enjoy! you will love it! please try it and tell me what you think :-D if i'm wrong, you can yell at me, but i'm almost 100 percent certain you're going to love it! it's creamy, fruity, floral... just delicious. has a bit of an almond feel to it, too. YUM!

I just sprayed Herve Leger on me again today, after our posts, and I have to say... you're going to LOVE it!! It's SO delicious... slightly reminds me of the top pear/almond notes of Burberry Brit, but there are no pear or almond notes in this. Maybe it's the vanilla. As you may have read I've worn Allure years ago, but find it a bit too much at times, and of course ever since the car incident... hi girls...here's my opinion (I also LOVE Amor Amor, so in that respect, our noses seem to be in sync), i think Herve Leger is actually a less heady version of Allure, by Chanel (also a good one, but usually too heavy for me). It's less heavy, and a teensy bit more fruity. I think you'd definitely like it a lot. Give it a shot. By the way, I'm getting Love Hangover based on your recommendation, Maya. We seem to have a lot of overlap in the nose department. :-D THANKS!

This fragrance is very feminine. I wore it to bed and the next morning the smell was still going strong. This doesn't happen often with other fragrances. I love it.

Herver Leger is one of the most perfect, feminine fragrances I've smelled. It's soft but comfortably sweet, and it lasts a good while. It starts out with a burst of fruitiness, but after about 10 minutes, it mellows into the pretty floral sweetness. After about an hour, the vanilla becomes more prominent and it mingles softly on the skin which results in a beautiful, alluring scent. The bottle is what caught my eye in the first place, and luckily, the scent was lovely too.

I had a miniature of this, and to me it smells a lot like Cacharel's Amor Amor, which makes no sense, because the actual notes are not the same. It must be the fruity floral sweet composition.

I probably own 100 bottles of different scents, I store in the refrigerator. Just bought this one...it blows everything else away. If you like something that dries down to a light creamy, almost a floral vanilla scent you will love this one!! It lasts on me, and soooo many compliments, and I work in a huge office. Never offensive to anyone, even those with allergies.

Hi Ladies! Some of you have stated that Herve doesn't last too long, but sometimes it could be body chemistry. This happens to me when I wear Chanel No. 5. Sometimes layering the fragrance might help, or putting the fragrance on the pulse points.

How come the tester smells far much better than the actual perfume?!!! I tried to ask my friends to smell on it me but they would say: "I smell nothing!" How sad!!! For some reasons the tester smells better in some perfumes!!!

...then you just might like this one. It is TOO floral for me. The only floral exceptions I like are Michael and Kenneth Cole Black. I did notice though that it smelled a lot like Ghost Deep Night. If you like Herve Leger, you might like the Ghost also.

I have read some comments that Herve Leger doesn't last. In my finding it lasts great on me. It must be different body chemistries.This is a fantastic feminine scent. It is warm, yet fresh and is very expensive smelling. Nothing cheap here. Those who have trouble with this lasting may want to layer it with the body lotion or shower gel. In my opinion it would be worth it to spend the extra $. A BEAUTIFUL fragrance.

I LOVE this perfume. I would wear it every day, every season if it wasn't for one thiing . . . on me it's gone in 2 minutes. I've only had one or two compliments on it because people can't smell it (I usually get comments about my perfume, and this one never!). Can Herve make this one a little more lasting? This is only my opinion, but I think Herve smells exactly the same on the skin as in the bottle, even after drydown. I have never had a problem with the staying power of this perfume. It stays all day and into the night; well you know it probably has to do with that chemistry thing! It is a luxurious, distinctive, elegant, beautiful scent that you can't go wrong with. I get compliments galore when I wear it!! Try it! Hope that helps!

I smelled this in the bottle and loved it. I tried it on and also thought it was great but then a half hour later I tried on some Lolita Lempicka and lost the scent. From reading the earlier posts, I am a little concerned about the staying power of this. What are you experiences? Also, how does this smell on you as compared to in the bottle? I loved this one from the first time I smelled it! It's one of the most feminine, delicious, and beautiful scents ever, in my opinion. The vanilla is apparent but not overwhelming. I just received it, along with a few others I also ordered online, so I haven't had a chance to wear it all day yet. I don't know how long it lasts on the body, either, so I can't give feedback on that aspect yet. I'm looking forward to see what reactions this one will get.

I got this a couple years ago and ALWAYS get compliments from men..Friuty at first then dries down to an "earthy" musky scent. Notes..Cinderella flower..vanilla..sandalwood I think.
