Have been wearing this scent since 1884. The only perfume I ever liked 100% and perfect for me. It is frustrating not to be able to buy Maxim's most of the time. What a challenge. What's the problem? It appears there are many of us out there waiting.
Cindie is the perfect example of someone who doesn't know a thing about perfume...Did you know that this perfume is one among the very few that doesn't contain a single drop of artificial or synthesic ingredient...victm... stick to your cheap, artificial and stinky Cha**l, Gu**i, or Dol**&Ga***na fragrance you poor marketing sheep...
I am estatic to find this wonderful fragrance again! This was the only fragrance I wore for 2 years, from '85-'87, and was constantly asked what I wore! It was my 'signature' perfume, and I am very happy to have it again!
Unfortunately underrated and unknown, but worth a try!!! A wonderful, crisp, complex, feminine fragrance. Fresh and cool floral-aldehyde category. "Cool" in a good and very pleasant way: Not modern, watery, synthetic! Top note: Bergamot, green-note, fruit-note, mint, melon. Heart note: Lily of the valley, rose, jasmin, ylang-ylang, iris, tuberose. Base note: Powdery dry-down. Sandal, musk, honey, vanilla, heliotrope, amber. For my nose an uplifting, feminine fragrance with an excellent staying-power. Unique and outstanding.
I ALSO STARTED WEARING THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL, 1985, AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT SINCE 1990. SUCH A WONDERFUL SCENT, IT BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES!
While living in Europe it was one of the best fragrances over the period 1984-1990. The last stock I could find here in New Zealand before it disappeared, to my memory, was somewhere in 1991. Despite all my efforts I coudn't find it anywhere I travelled since. I am so pleased to see this wonderful perfume back again...
Can you say? Strong and headachy. You can smell this on someone a mile away. Not good!
I started wearing Maxim's in high school, around 1986 and always got tons of compliments on it. Now years later I am so happy to have found it again! I just love it and it brings back many happy memories.
The fragrance of this perfume is wonderful. I have never had so many compliments about any other perfume. This Maxim's was a gift from my boyfriend, who picked this up while he was in Paris. I have not been able to find this perfume for over 15 years. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places. I called everywhere for this perfume and now I have found it!! Thank you!
If you like fragrances like Diva, Venezia and Organza - you'll love this. It has one problem though, the chemicals get old very fast (under a year).
I wore this several years ago and wsas surprised by its ability to stay deep and true all day. I hadn't paid much for it, but it had the depth and sophistication of a really premium fragrance.
