The La Maison de la Vanille. There are several different scents, and I like Vanille Noire de Mexique and Vanille Givree des Antilles the best. They never fail to garner compliments, and often I have heard..." I am not usually fond of vanilla, but you smell SO GOOD". It makes you feel nice to hear that. The two I listed are not too gourmand, more spicy/earthy. Here is an online description of the newly packaged line ( I really thought the old bottles were super cool, but oh well...) I have used this perfume for several years. I think it smells like cotton candy. I get lots of compliments when I wear this scent. Hard to find.

This vanilla I would say, is a sweet foody vanilla. When I wore it, my friend said, "I smell cookies." I like more of a exotic vanilla scent, so for me, not what I like, but most women would.

Les Senteurs Vanille is one of the best. It first goes on very sweet & strong, but dries down nicely & lasts. It's very sweet, but not quite as sweet as CSP Vanille & not as strong as Vaniglia del Madagascar by Firenze (which are both favs). La Maison Vanille Mexique is also a nice vanilla & also Tutti Dolci Sugar Wafer, which is a more "edible" sweet scent.

I bought this perfume YEARS ago at a store as well. I love vanilla and like others have said, vanilla tends to wear off quickly. This perfume does not! And I get tons of compliments!

i'm a huge fan of csp's entire line of vanille. banane is my all time favorite vanilla scent. does anyone know if this scent is similar, or how they compare? thanks....

I have been on a vanilla kick lately, and have found that most vanilla perfumes (even good ones like Comptoir Sud Pacifique and Maison de la Vanille) last about 5 minutes on my skin, but this one lasts quite a while - about 5 hours. It really is lovely, and I get a lot of compliments with it.

For vanilla-addicts only: Les Senteurs Vanille is a perfect fragrance to layer it. It makes for example Habanita much softer and more feminine and gives every fragrance a wonderful vanilla-kick!!!

Like I said, I'm not a vanilla expert, and haven't worn anything else Vanilla except, Hypnotic Poison. HP is not straight Vanilla it has other notes in it. Les Senteurs Vanille is VERY pure vanilla. It's clean and pretty, not too overpowering, but I guess I need more than just Vanilla alone to excite me.

Very, very similar to Shalimar but Shlimar has more citrus in it and also smells a little like wool. Vanille and the other pure scents by Molinard are very interesting as they are "original" scents.

This vanilla fragrance reminds me of the fair. Actually, it didn't until my dad said I smelled like cotton candy. Then my friends asked me why I would want to smell like the Fair?! Personally, I think Vanille is a sweet, comforting, warm scent perfect for fall football games, bonfires, etc. Plus, it comes in a gorgeous deep blue bottle and looks nice sitting on my vanity.

My sister bought me Les Senteurs Eau de toliette Vanille by Molinard a few years ago when she was in Paris. My bottle has managed to last me for about two years, and I love it. I am the only person I know that wears it and I get many compliments on the fragrance. I have searched for a new purfume but have not found one as good as Vanille by Molinard. I would definately recomend it!

I ordered vanille,habanita and nirmala from this site.The $ is great!I also happen to think that molinards fragrances have almost the same notes as comptoir sud pacifique ones;bear in mind molinard was ahead of their time being of the first to formulate these original classics.I highly recommend and love these fragrances,I have quite the collection.Very beautiful!!!!

I purchased Molinard's Vanilla at a Sephora store a couple of years ago. This vanilla scent smells like it has cocoa in it! Maybe I am wrong, it is also concentrated! A-little goes a long way. I have purchased other scents of theirs in different places. For instance, nectarine, Fleur de figuier, which has fig flower in it I think and it is wonderful! With these single scents you can combine them if you want to try something different!
