The composition is based on oriental, aromatic and woodsy notes. The fresh opening of mandarin, rhubarb and anise is warmed with spicy coriander notes. The base which has become more oriental unites vanilla, licorice and amber. The fragrance was created in 2007 by Olivier Polge.

This is a fairly unknown fragrance that's been out for close to 5 years at this point. The note structure listed is very accurate... it's lightly sweet and spicy at first with the Mandarin and coriander but mellowed with rhubarb... the drydown occurs rather quickly and is as advertised with a soapy vanilla-licorice accord. Women like it but I wouldn't call it a ladykiller. The fragrance does present it's wearer as a man with good taste, so I'd say keep the fragrance the ole wardrobe for special occasions and nights out. Sillage is pretty good for an hour or so and longevity 4-5 hours with 3-4 sprays. My only gripe is that I love using Travalos to reapply fragrance while out on the town and the spray mechanism on this one won't permit that. Oh well, still great stuff and reasonably priced too!
Not offensive, seductive and elegant version of Apparition Homme. Rather for cooler weather.
