Secret Obsession has a sweet, fruity opening that smells entirely of today. Still, don't go looking for the sparkling and sheer pinkish berries that decorate so many of the fruity florals of the past five years. These fruits are spicy and overripe.The dry down is a sweet floral. The notes include exotic plum, mace, rose de damas, jasmine, orange flower, tuberose, cashmere woods, burnt amber, vanilla and sandalwood.

Secret Obsession is sexy and subtle, a perfect fragrance for the office, when you are around people who do not like perfume. Great for evening, if you apply with a heavier hand. A warm and mellow perfume that I find totally addictive. Drives my hubby CRAZY and he usually does not like perfume. Sweet and woodsy and a great choice for women who do not like strong, sharp, flowery perfumes. Calvin's BEST!!!!!
My husband HATES perfume, but is CRAZY about Secret Obsession. This is the sexiest scent I have ever worn and it is very subtle, so you can spray a bit heavier than most. It is earthy and woodsy, sandlewood and floral and a soft, not sharp scent. DElicious!
I had this sprayed on my wrist by an assistant in the perfume section and I smelled wonderful all day. It's smoother, and warmer than it smells on the card and lighter. More mellow, elegant and reminded me (sort of) of the new Gucci by Gucci.
This perfume is gorgeous. It suits me extremely well. I love an exotic and Oriental perfume and I tend to go for a good base note which this has for my skin type. Anyone who likes Hypnotic Poison or Samsara will love this.
This perfume makes a statement when you enters a room and a lasting impression when you leave.
I've only tested a strip from a magazine that you rub on your wrists. It was cloyingly heavy and impossible to wash off. After a few days, the strip in the magazine had mellowed down to something tolerable but it didn't have a wow effect that makes me want to rush out and buy it. I'll test it in the shops if I get into town before I pass final judgement. Euphoria is okay with my chemistry but I won't buy it again. I don't even care all that much for the original Obsession anymore and will only use CK fragrances if others buy them for me and if I'm lucky that they work with my chemistry.
I went into Macy's the other day, and sprayed this on my wrist. Phew...at first it was a strong overripe fruit smell, (which I don't like) but once it dried down, it was passable. Euphoria seemed better to me, but that's too fruity too. I do NOT like strong fruity scents for me. Some women might like it, but it's not a winner to me.
What a name, what a sexy campaign with Eva Mendes! But the fragrance is only so-so with no staying-power. The headnotes smell nice fruity-oriental. The heartnotes and the drydown are a big nothing. Nothing earth-shaking. Nothing innovative. Not a sumptuous beautiful fragrance, which no one can resist. The bottle design is also not great. Successful Obsession, Eternity and CK One are masterpieces, but I think, uninteresting "Secret Obsession" will be discontinued in the next years like "Sheer Obsession". Meanwhile they changed even the old formula of my beloved classic Obsession and watered it down. What a shame!!!!
I am a guy, but I received a sample of this from my Macy's catalog, and wow! I absolutely fell in love with the scent; I could not stop taking whiffs. My other guy friends agreed that this smelled great.
