If you like Angel, but find it a bit too cotton candy like....(or too expensive) try Belle! I personally hate Angel, I get a strange pine needle scent off of it and it is sickenenly sweet. But Belle does have a bit of a similar accord to it. I own 14 bottles of this stuff! Just don't over apply it, two sprays will last 6-8 hours on your skin or clothing. I get soooo many compliments on this. After 15 minutes, it starts to show it's true appeal, so give it a chance.

I wondered what the sexy fragrance was in my desk drawer, and discovered that it was the small roll-on tester bottle of Belle En Rykiel I had bought a few weeks ago and liked. The top had loosened a little and the fragrance was delicious. I don't see (smell, rather) any connection with toothpaste, so I thought I'd comment for anyone who'd like another point of view. To me, it's a sexy sophisticated scent. Very complex, very intriguing. I like to smell like that!

I knew this wasn't very popular, but nobody? I love the bottle. The notes are really good, except the lavender, that ruins it for me. It totally takes over all the rest of the notes. Don't laugh, but to me, it smells like toothpaste. Weird, huh? The drydown isn't as bad, but I'm really disappointed, I thought it would smell alot better than it did. That's why you have to go with your instincts. (especially when your buying it, without smelling it first, bad idea) When I saw lavender listed, I worried that I would hate it, because I hate anything with that note in it, well I was right.

I first sprayed this on in a store, and it smelled interesting. I bought a sealed bottle off of ebay, and unless I didn't remember much of what I smelled in the store, it smelled like toothpaste for about a hour. It dries down to a candy-like heliotrope smell. It doesn't smell as bad after the drydown, but I'm disappointed with it. The lavender kills it for me. It's way too intense, could have left it out & it would have been much better!!!

I thought I tested this in Nordie's a couple of months ago, and I sort of liked it. I don't remember it smelling like the bottle I got. I hate lavender in a fragrance, but it said it was the top note, and I liked the rest of it, BUT... It smells like a men's cologne. Maybe after a hour, it's not too bad, but I swear it smells like "toothpaste" to me, why I don't know. I HATE LAVENDER!! It really ruins this fragrance, because without it, it probably would smell good. I should have gone with my instincts, but that is what happens when you buy without testing it a few times to know for sure. Another one bites the dust...

I bought it the first time I sampled it. Sadly, I've yet to wear it. The fragrance is a nice clean spice but right now I find it boring. Maybe it will be better in the warmer months.
