Manifesto is my favorite perfume of all time! So sad that it is now discontinued yet exciting that i can still purchase it from Perfumery!!!!!!

  • JAN10/10/2012

    Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!

  • D R OCHELLE06/27/2012

This gift set was a present for my wife, she used to wear and love the fragrance years ago. The product was obviously years old and had been used as the body lotion was just over half full and was unusable as smelled 'out of date'

  • NANCY04/13/2012

Absolutely lovely perfume. Different to the usual.

  • LAUREL04/11/2012

This is quite a fresh fragrance, but it doesn't settle well on me.

  • SISSI LOIZOU01/17/2012

great perfume! the body-lotion though arrived rather sour (more liquid than it should be and with a strange unpleasant smell) An employee of yours ensured me that there will be a refund because of this useless lotion. so, I am more than happy with my MANIFESTO eau de toilette but the lotion was horrible. how should I rate in that case? but in general, I can say that I am absolutely satisfied with your service. best wishes, Sissi

  • MIMI GEBES09/22/2007

Manifesto has been my "signature scent" for several years. I have had more compliments on this perfume that any I have ever worn and I love it for all occasions. Bravo!

  • SNAPSTAR07/12/2007

Just like its owner, this exudes class.Bought a bottle for my girlfriend and she loves it as well.A very individual fragrance. This is a standout!

  • LISA08/25/2006

I have tried a lot of perfumes and I guess my body chemistry just doesn't like most of them. Perfume that smells wonderful on someone else smells like sewer water on me. But this Manifesto perfume is awesome! It says for romantic wear but I wear it everywhere, all the time. To me it is light and refreshing, energizing even. I love the strong basil smell. It may not work for some, but it definitely works wonders for me!

  • LAURIE ANNE07/08/2006

I happen to like this fragrance a lot. The basil undertones make the scent interesting. I would recommend it.

  • ANGELIQUE06/20/2006

I hate the name of this. However, for some reason I still purchased it, I think it had been a toss up between this and other scent. After wearing it a couple of times I realised for me it was uninspiring, unoriginal and boring. There was nothing to like about it but yet nothing to hate about it either. It's just a regular sweet smell. After a while it somehow ended up in the family bathroom and was used as an air freshener, and even then I think I would've preferred the smell of a proper air freshener!

  • ALLISON02/19/2006

I purchased this a few year's ago, and wore it thru the summer months. I thought it was O.K. at first, but there is so much of a basil, celery scent that came thru, it was hard to wear. I like the composition of it, it's just kind of an un-natural way to want to smell. Speaking of me, and my body chemistry. If it kept all the componets and added a fresh flower scent , then it would probably be a perfect scent to wear year round.

  • JB02/17/2006

I forgot to mention in my last post for you to give the EDP a try, its the strongest form of this scent available; it lasts MUCH longer on me than the EDT :o) Cheers!

  • JB02/13/2006

All Isabella Rossellini scents are still in production. The name Manifesto was changed (it's exactly the same scent, just the name/packaging changed) to My Manifesto after it was pulled from the U.S. market, and relaunched in Europe, I think that was in 2001 (?) dont quote me on the date. I LOVE this scent :o) its a very comforting & happy scent. You can read more about Rossellini parfums at coty.com look under the section: THE BRANDS/COTY BEAUTY

  • ISABELLA 02/06/2006

I really like ISABELLA ROSSELLINI she is one of the most beautiful women indeed, but this one out of her three fragrances is my least favorite. Somehow it's just so green and really does not suite me. The opening is orchestrated by blackcurrant leaves, bergamot, white pepper, mandarin, and basil leaves (i think that's what kills the opening for me). Then as the scent lingers on the skin you notice that it starts to bloom a bit but with mostly white flowers and that sort of goes in line with the very green opening notes. The blooms bring you lily, jasmine, sweet pea, white rose, peony, and orange blossom. Orange blossom being my favorite part. Then the ultimate drydown and my very best part of the whole experience is the base of sandalwood blended with chestnut tree. That base makes me never want to reapply. In fact I really dislike the top notes, warm-up a bit to the middle and then love the base. But altogether to me this is not quite what I would spend my money on. If she could have only done something better with those opening notes I would be totally in love with this. As it stands it's only so-so. But I also have to say that her other two are more then fabilous!

  • MAYA01/24/2006

I totally agree with the person who said that this smells like an 'herb garden' and while I love my herbs in food and LOVE making exotic dishes with different aromas, I would really prefer to smell like something that does not remind me of last nights dinner. The scent is fresh and really green, and although I am not a great fan of green fragrances I do enjoy a good one here and there like Extravagance by Givenchy... Manifesto I'll just leave to those of you who can appreciate it, but as far as I'm concerned this is only so-so in my books.

  • K10/27/2005

I just love the smell. First came across it 4 years ago and have been using it every since. Would have given excellent for the smell alone but the perfume doesn't last long. It tends to wear off very fast.

  • BEBE BULLET07/12/2005

musk and white pepper awesome.an afternoon delight. rains of ears of goldenscents. very nice.

  • SABRA03/12/2005

Every time I wear this fragrance I find many people who's heads are turned. It's a captivation unique smell, unlike anything else. I am glad that I have found it here.

  • TUESDAYS MOM02/25/2005

The designer is beautiful; not so her scent. Smells like an herb garden. Couldn't wear it. Its that pepper note that put me over the top

  • SHARRIE12/30/2004

the secret lies in the opotion. very sensual. wows. another great score. i took a nblind chance. my instinsts re always right, wonderful

  • JT10/22/2004

I, like many others agree that it wears off too quickly. I recently discovered this fragrance at a local perfume shop and loved it. They told me that it has been discontinued from department stores, but assured me that it is still in production, although not sold everywhere. I want to know if anyone knows the answer... is it still being made, or COMPLETELY out of production. Also, why did I get a bottle that said "Isabella Rossellini's Manifesto" on the label, and I have seen on her website and other sites it says "My Manifesto - Isabella Rossellini" on the label. Why the difference?? If anyone knows the answer or where I can get the answer, please post it here. Thanks!

  • TRACIA10/11/2004

I bought this without smelling if first and regret it. It smells bad. Cheap. I love Isabella Rosallini and figured her perfume would be great. Love the packaging, love the bottle, but the perfume is bad. I expected much more from her.

  • LYNN07/11/2004

This is a nice and fresh, green scent. I like wearing it in the summer.

  • DEB06/29/2004

I was hesitant about purchasing a large bottle of this fragrance, as the amount of the tester I spritzed didn't immediately win me over. Having ordered a small sample bottle, however, I'm now glad I did. This fragrance dries down beautifully, smells clean, fresh and lovely. I can best describe it as a "wholesome" scent, to be worn as a daytime fragrance as opposed to a seduction fragrance.

  • JAYDEE04/22/2004

I was kind of dissappointed upon smelling Manifesto. I bought a little "discovery kit" at an outlet mall because I think Isabella Rossellini is pretty cool and I wanted to smell her fragrance. It's a nice scent but it kind of reminds me of Miracle by Lancome and I already have a bottle of Miracle.

  • LOUISE12/06/2003

This stuff is fabulous. It isn't really like anything else I've smelled. I adore the addition of basil. When you spray it on it's sweet and energetic, but it dries down soft, musky, interesting -- wonderuful. I'm so sad it's been discontinued, I stockpiled it so I've got several extra bottles.

  • LISA11/12/2003

I think this one is a very nice surprise. I love the green spiciness of it. I know a lot of you said it doesn't last- but it does on me. I actually think it's a bit strong. I think it may be due to skin type. This is a very nice, classy fragrance.

  • JENNA08/07/2003

Well when I first took a whiff of this I thought EWWW! But the lady behind the counter gave me a little sample and told me to wear it for a day. Well now that i have worn it I know now that first impressions are not always right. I love this fragrance.

  • SABBY07/08/2003

This is one of my favorite scents. Every time I wear it it makes me feel happy. A+

  • NAKEDCITY07/05/2003

These two have been separated at birth, IMO. Manifesto is greener and has a fresher start, less pungent than Miracle. I liked Manifesto better.

  • SIMONE06/18/2003

I love this perfume! I searched the malls, but it was discontinued. I am so thankful to know it can be ordered online.

  • SHERE'E05/15/2003

Manifesto is a magnificent classy parfume. This is one that is also not for trendy people.

  • LALA04/12/2003

this perfume is GREAT it smells so good i had a sample & i loved it every since :)

  • DEB102/08/2003

...smells like you just got out of the shower.I love perfumes that smell soapy and light. Tops on my list of must buys. Although they are different scents, I am torn between Manifesto and Ellen Tracey.

  • LAURABETH02/04/2003

I love this scent. I wear it every day.

  • OLATZ02/03/2003

I have admired Isabella Rosellini since all those years when she was the face of Lancome, and I admire her as an actress. However, her talents do not extend into the world of cosmetics and fragrance (and I suspect that the reason her line is selling is due to her image and her name). When I heard she was launching her own cosmetics line I so looked forward to it but, it turned out to be a big disapointment. Her products are mediocre and overpriced. The same is true for her new fragrance, Manifesto. Like someone said before, this is green done badly. To me it is no more impressive than some of the cheap botanical body sprays sold in drugsores!

  • BEBE01/08/2003

ISA bella, Isabella Rossellini's new perfume is very feminine. It is even too feminine and soft for me since I like heavier perfumes. However, I wear it to office mostly and when I want to look and feel sensible, poised and not at all pushy or intimidating. As far as the ingredients are concerned, the first impression you get when you smell ISAbella is that it is fruity and delicious smelling. (i.e. that's what prompted me to buy it in the first place). The impression is accurate since it does contain notes of tangerine, citrus and kumquat (smells kind of citrusy too). The middle notes are a bit dissapointing for me since they contain boring white magnolia and sandalwood. After some time the base note emerges and it contains vetiver, moss and musk. It is kind of warm but as it dries down it smells kind of "been there, done that"... What I mean to say that, although very nice, this perfume is not unique and not so interesting as some other contenders on the market. I have received compliments from people but they were not like: "Ohmigod! WHAT is it you're wearing right now?!!!" It was more like: "What's that nice little perfume you're wearing?" Know what I mean? No one was really impressed by it, including myself. Andrea, I hope this was helpful.

  • SIDNEY12/30/2002

I am not impressed with this fragrance, it is not horrible but it is tiresome, it smells like fragrances that I have smelled recently in the last couple of years, here today and goan tomorrow. I can not smell the musk or basil but it is very green and fresh more for day time. It defenatly does last 2 minutes it has no staying power whats so ever!!

  • NONI12/15/2002

the perfume is recommended for romantic wear and it delivers.the scent you may or may not like but who cares. very sensual.oh before i forget i felt it lasted so one can over spray this perfume too.good luck.

  • ANDREA11/23/2002

Could anybody tell me something about the new Isabella Rosselini's perfume "ISAbella"? (It is red - that's all I know about it). Thanks.

  • LOLA11/08/2002

It really is a lovely scent.Light, fresh, clean-musky,but I have to agree with those who say it has no lasting power. And that's a shame, because it REALLY is very nice.Bummer...

  • YASMIN09/13/2002

It smelled great on a friend of mine and even better on me! I fell in love with it--and especially with the body balm--it's silky and excellent. BUT!!!! You have to keep reapplying because it doesn't last very long. It's a sweet, green, light scent. Wonderful but not long-lasting.

  • BETHANY08/24/2002

Lovely, light "green" garden like fragrance that would have been perfect for the summer, had it lasted. One of those-"now you smell it, now you don't" deals. I am grateful that other people posted on this particular perfume phenomenon-I was starting to get a complex about the "disappearing" perfume thing....Thanks ;-)

  • COLEY08/08/2002

I purchased this scent this weekend from Sephora. I like it. It smells clean and fresh. Unfortuantely, it will be discontinued but atleast I tried it and like it.

  • ROCHELLE ROCKWELL07/19/2002

Sweet, floral, and long lasting. Makes me feel like I'm in Venice. It's fine as is red wine.

  • STACIE06/27/2002

    It Smells Wonderfull!!!!

  • ERIKA06/12/2002

Strong character. Smells like...salad. Too strong and crude so I don't wear it now, however people liked me wearing it.

  • CHINA05/05/2002

I bought this perfume and was totally disappointed. It seemed like I could smell the basil, and not much else. It didn't seem green, or spicy, or floral or anything. I also found I didn't like the scent on me. Besides I had to reapply so often...no staying power. I was really not impressed by Isabella Rossellini's first perfume, even though I admire her.

  • DAR05/04/2002

Wow..I am hard to please when it comes to cologne, but I love this fragrance. My husband is just as picky, but he adores this fragrance.

  • I.P.I.05/01/2002

Green in a very unpleasant way and - as someone said - half-masculine. I strongly dislike it!

  • ASCHATAN04/17/2002

Sweet in a stinging kind of way.

  • ILONKA03/21/2002

This perfume reminds me of the kitchens in Italy. It reminds me of basil and fresh spring mornings. It makes me feel wonderful and makes me give an awesome start to my day. It is a pretty, homey perfume.

  • LAURA03/07/2002

I bought this fragrance with a boyfriend of mine. It's fresh and clean and pretty but with a peppery scent that gives it fire. However, it doesn't last very long--you'll find yourself reapplying it all day long. Great for spring--fresh but not sweet or cloying.

  • AMBER03/01/2002

I love this scent. It does indeed smell like you just came out of the shower, and it lasts very long on me. For me it's the ideal summer perfume, it's light, fresh and green but with character. It smells a lot like Estee Lauder's Pleasures, but I do think Manifesto has more body. An excellent perfume to wear during the day time. It's not really sexy but it makes you feel all fresh and clean!

  • LIZ02/27/2002

    I didn't care for this one...too green

  • SHANTELLE02/12/2002

It smells sort of peppery when you first put it on. It's attraction is that it is different from all the other "light, green" fragrances. I'm very athletic and I like this scent because it goes well with my sporty clothes and attitude. My only complaint is it's staying power. I have to reapply often.

  • DIXIE02/04/2002

I love this fragrance!!! It's not florally. I describe it as borderline bug spray. I'm on my third bottle and it is my signature fragrance. My co workers like it and my boy friend loves it!!!!

  • DANA01/28/2002

Smells like soap! Not so feminine, so it's hard to tell who this is good for.

  • AIMEE12/19/2001

    Green(melon & herb); half masculine/half floral-green; some high-pitched sharp sweetness. An Avon-type 'green' scent.

  • TINA12/05/2001

Green and grasy... Its staying power was very good on me, but I don't like the scent at all.

  • MELISSA11/29/2001

This perfume smells wonderful!!! It's staying power on my body however is not very long... :(

  • JUDIE DEUPREE05/13/2001

I just pruchased another bottle of Manifesto. I am forever receiving compliments on this fragrance. It smells like you just got out of the shower ALL DAY LONG. Never have I had anything that last this long without smelling stale. BUY IT FOR SURE!!

  • LEE ANN04/18/2001

WOW! i got to test Manifesto today at a department store near me. Wonderful! It is light, clean, floral. Reminds me of Pleasures by Estee Lauder, but better!
