I made the mistake of buying Lavande Velours online without trying it first. On my skin, this turns weird and medicinal. It smells like a combination of baby powder and iodine. It doesn't work with my chemistry at all. But other people love this and rave over it, so there you go. I definitely recommend trying it before you buy. I wish I knew what that weird medicinal note is so I can avoid it in the future.
Powdery, woody floral. Has an aromatherapy quality as the body warms up to it. Quite lovely.
JUST PURCHASED. SMELLS INTENSELY OF LAVANDER ALL DAY LONG. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
This is too sweet and powdery vanilla for me. smells like lavender and sweet powder. reminds me of lavender mixed with Ombre Rose. If you like Ombre Rose (which is better I think but not for me either) you may like this. very similar.

Men love this. Don't know why, but around the office, can't keep them away when I am wearing this. Very clean and refreshing scent, especially in the warmer weather. Sniff yourwrists all day long while wearing this one---a real aromatheraphy calm scent!

I agree with c. Winter delice is wonderful, for me the best of all Aqua Allegoria fragrances. But unfortunatelly, it was made only for one season (last winter)... What a shame! It was so worm and nice fragrance.
Purchased this fragrance last month! It is so unique to me because of the sandlewood in it! Also tried the other aqua allegoria: Winter Delice, It's wonderful and makes you think of fall but it can be worn anytime! Spicy and alluring!
Definitely recomend this fragrance!! Smells like when you walk out to French meadow in the alps! Another brillant frangrance from Guerlain.
