This stuff is not bad at all. Not much to say except that it's ultra citric, not really a babe-magnet but just a nice & pleasant scent that seems to last pretty good and to be worn as daywear.

  • M.R.09/05/2006

Pretty good sunny/citrusy fragrance is obviously most appropriate for outdoorsy/summer days and lasts rather long. The bottle is a keeper too.

  • SAM FISHER05/10/2006

LRS smells exactly like the shower gel that goes by the name of EQUITY by Yardley. I think it is better that the fragrance is in the form of a gel than a spray perfume. The spray smells like a man's skin that had not showered after a day in the sun!

  • ONG-BAK05/08/2006

Pleasant enough and very citrusy fragrance is most appropriate for outdoor spring/summer use and actually seems to last but not exactly a babe-magnet type of cologne.

  • WIRANA, THE ALCHEMIST03/17/2006

Bitter, suffocating and putrid is how I would describe it. The drydown to base notes is abit like smouldering plastic. Bitter is the scent throughout from first spray might be due to the extensive use of bitter orange and citrus. The sweet floral top notes in the beginning are memorable and excellent but the bitterness that reigns this scent makes me see the sun going down on me.

  • JASON1302/02/2006

This did not go well on my skin. Overwhelming! Iceberg Twice on steroids with an orange kick!!! I hardly ever get headaches and let alone a fragrance causing one but this did. It actually made me dizzy!! Had to wash off right away and approximately 30min. later, female co-worker yells out, "Damn who smellin good?"

  • AMY01/03/2006

i'm staying away from the kenneth cole reaction board for a while. i spent close to 600 bucks on perfume in last 2 months! i need few weeks to recover!!

  • TONY T12/26/2005

you could have gotten romance silver for 45 bucks on the net, but anyway D&G is great stuff. maybe 6 months ago i got the 4.2 oz bottle and it is 1 of my favs. p.s. check out kenneth cole reaction's board.

  • AMY12/25/2005

I've bought several bottles of colognes and never seem to get samples! do i have to ask for it? anyways, romance silver is 65bucks for the 3.3 oz bottle and i decided to buy for my best guy friend who is worth it. p.s. do you like the dolce&gabana for men? my guy doesn't like it. email me at [email protected] and i'll send it to you!

  • TONY T12/23/2005

yes romance silver is a top of the line floral/ woody scent imo. great stuff. i had a sample of it and no lie, wore it yesterday and got 2 compliments from total strangers. anyhow the price is a bit wealthy for me. take care amy. ps SAN DIEGO AND CHICAGO SUPER BOWL !!

  • AMY FROM S.D.12/20/2005

My boyfriend really likes Escada magnetism. Have you tried Romance Silver? absolutely blew me away!! after that purchase, i'm not buying anymore. going broke!! take care, tony t. you're the best!!!

  • RMJ12/18/2005

I'm looking forward to trying Le Roy Soleil. If you could please email me with any info on it or Pal Zileri, that would be great. My email is [email protected].

  • TONY T12/16/2005

you are right. i think some of my colognes will go bad since i have around 30. question, magnetism over individuel, hmm. i have both and both are sweet scents with mont blanc,s being a bit more gq and escada's more sexy/romantic. one thing though, both are 5 stars easily.

  • AMY12/14/2005

Hi There! I tested Individuel and I liked Prescence better. Individuel was kinda sweet and the other one was more masculine smelling to me. Very sexy!! I also smelled Corduroy by Zirh and love it! You have great suggestions!. In the end, I bought Escada Magnetism. Problem is the list keeps on getting longer and longer! I don't think 1 boyfriend will be able to finish all the colgnes!!

  • TONY T12/14/2005

you can get a tester of silver mountain for 52.50 on the net and as for mi i have yet to sample it.individuel is a very sweet candyish scent that is perfect for san diego's climate.lacoste essential also is a perfect warm weather scent if i did not mention so already.

  • *BARBARA W*12/12/2005

Haven't smelled the men's version, but the woman's perfume is amazing! Perfect balance of citrus, sweetness, and "water". Wonderful. It's a crime they don't sell it on this site! Perfection in a bottle...

  • ROB H.12/11/2005

I hope to God that it's not discontinued being that I had found it about 1 1/2 years ago by accident. Read the description of it (the notes, the scent and the type of use) and just bought it for the hell of it in the hopes I stumbled upon a new sleeper..........which I did. I've used maybe half of the 1.6oz bottle which I use a little more during the late spring, summer and early fall days; basically warm and sunny days which is when it's most appropriate. I've never seen it at any store in any of the malls in my area and even though this website doesn't carry it, I don't think they'll post my review to you if I mention another website. It's a great scent that I've received great compliment on from both men who want to own it and women who want to buy it for their man but sad to say the only way you might be able to smell it is if we ever ran into each other at Great America or somewhere being that your hometown isn't all that far away from where I'm at. Sorry I couldn't help you more, RMJ.

  • RMJ12/08/2005

Hey, i have been looking for Pal Zileri and i cannot seem to find it available anywhere online...all the places are out of stock. Please tell me it hasn't been discontinued because i was really looking forward to trying it...

  • AMY IN SAN DIEGO12/07/2005

Thanks for replying back, i thought minotaure was pricey but creed blows them all away. I have read your review on creed and not sure which one to get between silver mtn or MI since that one is also rated very high. Let me know what you think and that will be my boyfriends x-mas gift. also will look into corduroy

  • TONY T12/02/2005

go chargers, gotta love ladanlian tomlinson, but anyway thanks a bunch. you have taste and deep pockets buying minotaure LOL!! 2 high for me but still have my mini. also try creed silver mountain water and lacoste essential (the best 2 fresh scents), you living in san diego and all. also for courdoroy, very special with it's vanilla, suede, & spice mixture, great alternative to le male and varvatos!!!! have fun cologne hunting!!!!!!!!!

  • AMY IN SAN DIEGO11/27/2005

Tony, i have to say i'm very impressed with your expertise and knowledge! I enjoy reading your reviews and have bought several for my boyfriend. aquaman, minotaure, and john varvatos. Thanks!

  • SYNERGY11/22/2005

Bursting with refreshing citrus and some other fine unique notes make this great for sunny spring/summer days.

  • P.T. STOCTOROCTON11/09/2005

Great spring and summer citrusy-fresh scent is a hit for anyone that smells it on me.

  • WES CLEMENS10/30/2005

Clean and bursting with citrus.........great for spring/summer wear.

  • TONY T08/29/2005

and get this. also throw away echo and k.c. very similiar scents but this one stands out. very citrusy but not fruity, if that makes sense. i guess what i meant to say is that it is not sweet like the foresaken ultraviolet purple from paco. only have a sampler but i must get this along with aquaman and maybe jacomo because of it's inexpensiveness and great reviews, problem though, which one??

  • TOM08/29/2005

Very nice, long lasting masculine scent. Similar to English Leather, but with more panache Unfortunately, one of the ingredients seems to trigger a slight headache. Nice dry down.

  • MARCO TESTAVERDE06/25/2005

This is a great scent that seems more appropriate for spring/summer use and is bursting with citrus. I do agree with Rob H. that it is similar to Pal Zileri by Zileri only that this one is a bit more sharp and smells like oranges.

  • MARIO JUSTINIANI05/22/2005

Amazing. The French can still make a great man's cologne, even if they have to name it after a Spanish painter. My favorite everyday wear for when I'm not impressing women with my awesome masculinity (Dunhill '34, Minotaure) my love of life (Ferrari Black, The Baron) or grovelingly condescending to them with stuff I know they like even if I'm not crazy about it (Marc Jacobs, John Varvatos) Not THE best choice for the opera (Creed Himalaya , Gentleman by Givenchy ) but close, and naturally, if you're playing serious Poker with The Godfather, stick to Bvlgari Black. But for everything else there's The Sun King :)

  • DAVID M05/02/2005

It`s a nice Scent, I found it similiar to XS but Le Roy is lighter and more breezier, probably because of the Ozone

  • SHARRIE12/24/2004

the womans is better. a genius work of art. great stuff. magick in the sun. wonderful.

  • ROB H.09/15/2004

Clean, crisp and sophisticated citrusy scent is one of the best among citrus scents I've smelled or worn. However in the last month I have purchased another similar citrusy scent that's a bit lighter but better overall- Zileri by Pal Zileri. Find it, sample it and differentiate.

  • MRS. ROBINSON07/07/2004

I bought this product for my husband some years ago and since then I have had to be carefull not to let him wonder alone in the streets, because I realized that ladies suddenly go creazy and give him some "Please, come and get me" looks. ;) This fragance is absolutely the best, but unfortunately it's quite difficult to get it anywhere. I've tried all the major department stores in Scandinavia and Spain, without success. It's good to learn now that I can order it from the net.

  • RAOUL DUKE06/15/2004

Actually Le Roy Soleil by Salvador Dali is launched in 1997.

  • DR. GONZO06/14/2004

Whithout knowing what this is - just smelling, I probably would say it's quite old. 1970? I don't know the exact lauchyear but I think it's somewhere like that. Don't you ever put on tooo much! This is a kind of "less is more" scent. After once putting on too much, I could't see a reason putting this on once more in my lifetime. Now, I just find myself looking at the 3,4 oz bottle thinking of that special night I put on 4 or 5 strokes. I think one, well placed, is just right. But hey: Definitly no excellent!! I just bought 80% of all 100% rated scents at this site and that's not just the 10 listed in the main page, but a whole lot more!! Nevermind, at least I don't regret buying this one. If it wasn't as good as I'd expect I would have sold it right the same day. Four stars.

  • TONI FINISH02/22/2004

This is absolutely fabulous! One of my biggest favourites for sure. Extremely stylish, subtle and sensual, and lasts very long time. It is very strong in a way, so you`ll be careful with it... This is one of those fragrances, which I can`t see anyone hating. It´s almost perfectly made balance with rich tobaccos and some well selected citrus fruits. One more thing is, that it is very rare, which is good thing to us all - all around the world!

  • MAURICIO10/02/2003

I GOT ATESTER RECENTLY (HARD TO FIND IN MY COUNTRY), AND I THINK THIS IS A REAL JEWEL, AMAZING, CLEAN AND ORIGINAL(LAGUNA IS GOOD BUT SOLEY IS THE BEST), PEOPLE WHO ENJOY " NOT COMMON PERFUMES " WILL FIND THIS AN EXCELLENT OPTION. THANKS DALY PERFUMES

  • FERNANDO05/15/2003

I became very interested in the Salvador Dali line after I bought Laguna for men, which I think is a totally awesome perfume but cannot be found in this site yet. So I read the reviews from the other Dali perfumes and for my luck I found this "Le Roy du Soleil" with a great discount price in my country. This perfume is sweet and floral, but in a very fresh way, it won't make you sick for being too sweet. It is an exuberant or romance kind of fragrance, not for office or everyday wear. It is extremely high quality and concentrated, so you don't have to bath in it. Also, it is not very known, so I believe it is sort of original. It reminds me a lot of "Romance" by Ralph Lauren, which is another fragrance I love. I am happy I discovered this fragrance and hope to check the others in the Dali line soon. Also, check Laguna for men because it is awesome!

  • MARIUS10/11/2002

Very good fragrance. Long lasting fresh and elegant. Nice bottle too.

  • TIM05/13/2002

Found this in a perfumery in France, I'm a real fusspot when it comes to finding a new scent - its really sexy scent for men and all my girlfriends love it !
