When I first tested this at Macy's, it reminded me of a certain doll they used to sell when I was young. You opened the box and this was the fragrance. Awesome, I love it and it brings back great memories.

When I first got this I smelt it and went YUK! But I sprayed it on and I could'nt believe how awesom it smelt. People always ask what I'm wearing and tell me that I smell sooooo good! Love this stuff!

This has been my scent for years. Can't someone convince Monteil to make this again???

i have been looking for thie scent for over 10 years. my freind gave it to me as a gift and i loooooovvvved it! when i ran out could not find it anywhere so i called her to find out where shr bought it and she said new york city. I whent to ny and could not find it so i saved the bottle just to smell it and today thought to look online. today was my lucky day

Hope you will have this fragance until the end of the world. It is really hard to find but no other perfume makes this enchantment.

I used to wear this scent back in 1995 and then I couldn't find it again for years. I was thrilled when I found it again here on Perfume Emporium. I absolutely love it!!!!!

This is one of the grossest fragrances I came upon..ever! It literally stinks! Yuk!!

L'eau de Monteil: 1995 Germain Monteil.- Olfactive description: Fruity Floral (Jasmin, Orange Blossom) Spicy MARINE(salty!) Powdery. Lovely bottle and wonderful box!!! So feminine and beautiful. But I found the fragrance very harsh and complicated. The salty(?) synthetic marine smell is not for me! What I like in this warm scent was the orange and carnation smell. L'Eau de Monteil is very unique and very different. A special fragrance for special taste. Modern, complicated and absolutely outstanding from the rest of popular fragrances.

think sandalwood, india, serenity and individuality. My very favourite!

I really love this fragrance but unfortunately it's only available as a miniature in Holland...

I first purchased this fragrance in '95. Then in '96, I was told it was being discontinued. My heart sank. Then I thought, well it has to be available somewhere. A fragrance like this cannot be lost to the world. It is truly a one of a kind fragrance. A therapy session in itself.

I have been searching for YEARS to find this perfume. I knew it existed somewhere. I found by accident and bought a sample just because I liked the packaging. I am glad to see I can purchase it online because I cannot find it at any store where I live.

Since it was discontinued back in 96-97? I have traveled to Europe and back and looked for this unfindable unique scent Finally! I'm buying in bulk from now on...It's such a defining yet not overpowering scent.

I ran out of this scent and haven't been able to find this fragrance in Louisiana for 6 years. And I was told over and over by department store sales clerks that it was discontinued. I'm sooo thankful to find a place to purchase this again!

First sniff: YES!!! Rapturous delight at at last finding something so delightfully different - sweet fragrant wine, ripe fruits, mellow flowers; inspiring dance-of-joy. Take me home! Second sniff: uh-oh, that couldn't be - rubbing alcohol? !!! Surely it'll fade on the drydown... Final scent: with my chemistry, top over-fermented floral honey, base animal musk, and unhappily, a lingering trace of that alcohol. I'm going to try again, but it looks like this fragrance may NOT work out for everyone - give it at least an hour before you commit...

Once I discovered this perfume, that was it! I knew there could be no other for me. I'd finally found a scent that was devastatingly feminine, unbelievably soft, and totally unique. Yes, just like ME! Monteil had better make this stuff for years and years (and years!) to come. Indeed, nothing else even comes close! Thank you, Monteil!

I love this perfume. Every time I wear it people compliment me. It is a soft feminine scent that is intoxicating to smell. I will buy this for years to come. I am so glad this is back on the market after searching for it for 5 long years. Once you have tried this, no other perfume can even come close to matching its scent.

i had purchased this fragrance years ago and have had a hard time finding it since. i was so happy to find it again. i always got lots of compliments and i absolutely love it. wearing monteil makes me feel good.

I discovered this fragrance purely by accident and absolutely LOVE it. It's soft, feminine, fresh. I will be wearing this scent for a long time to come. Can't imagine ever getting tired of it!

Why haven't I found this before? Finally, it's a scent I can stay with for years!
