Blue Sugar cologne is Aquolina's first foray into men's cologne and opens with a delightful harmony of caramelized sugar and vanilla blended with heady notes of cedar and tonka bean. The heart of the fragrance is rich with energetic notes of licorice, patchouli, lavender, and coriander, freshened with crisp bergamot and mandarin, and finished with soothing notes of anise. Blue Sugar cologne is a fragrance of contrasts - fun and effervescent, yet supremely masculine. Notes include Bergamot, Tangerine Leaves, Star Anise, Ginger, Licorice, Patchouli Leaves, Lavender, Heliotrope, Coriander, Caramel, Vanilla, Cedarwood, Tonka Bean.

i have many different high end colognes. this is by far my favorite scent. every time i wear blue sugar i get compliments . but you have to be secure in your manhood to wear this fragrance. this scent is totally different than most men fragrances. no citrus scent here.

This is a nice sweet scent. First, I can smell licorice and vanilla. On dry-down the licorice fades considerably, but is still there. Although this is marketed for men, I'd say it's better for women and teens that want something that is sweet but not sickly-sweet.

This cologne smells exactly like what you would expect from the name "Blue Sugar". Definitely wouldn't be considered a masculine cologne by any means... but who cares? Very unique and pleasant.

I can't rightly comment on the edt, but assuming it's the same as the shower gel and body gel I've just sampled, no no NO! Artificial caramel scent? UGH! If you think you are one of the "special few" who can actually pull off wearing this...sorry but you aren't. This is the only shower gel I have ever used that left me feeling... like I needed to take another shower!

THIS IS A*MEN WITHOUT THE TAR NOTE... WHICH IS A GOOD THING AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. IT COULD USE A NAME CHANGE THOUGH...

Although I am a love of sweet scents.. This goes beyond even MY boundaries. Much too sweet, not as off putting as Amen by Thierry Mugler but is very very cloying. It is like candy, cotton candy to be honest. IMO it is worse than Joop! and Body Kouros. Neither I am currently very fond of. Try Rochas Man or Pi.. Better yet Lolita Lempicka is slightly more bearable than this although still cloying..

Everywhere I go online, I see warnings of this scent being too "girly". I just had the pleasure of sampling this tonight at a fragrance stand in the mall. It is astonishingly mild, inoffensive to the nose, and sweet. Not sickeningly sweet, but just right. This is NOT a girly fragrance, as the musky undertones in this can clearly be smelled. Besides, why are guys so insecure about lighter scents- get in touch with your femenine side, guys. Don't women like that anyway? Yes, it smells like cotton candy, but it doesn't smell like women's perfume.

This is a definite no-no for men - young or old. I like sweet fragrances on men *if* they have strong masculine components to balance the sweetness. This is just pure candy. Ugh.

  • LEBM08/13/2007

If you want to smell like cotton candy this is the ticket - I've have a problem with walking around smelling like a treat from the county FAIR - IMO - this is for kids and not adults - I'd be leary of a man with this stuff on - This is Date Line Material - I'm talking "To Catch a Predator" type of frag we are dealing with here....

and lolita lempicka and this are to be considered gourmand fragrances.out of the four i like lolita's the best.i never tried rochas but (blue sugar) is over the top, and in your face sweet but not sissy sweet.it's a casual scent and i guess romantic for one on one encounters.

I must say this stuff is somewhat risky, but the right guy, who has confidence enough to wear it, it's a wonderfuly frag. The thing I do like about it so much is that it is not your typical scent you'll find over the counter at Dillard's or where ever. It's not a very masculine fragrance, in the classic sense, but it is very clean and modern and just nice. As anticipated, it is very sugary sweet and casual. It's not a serious frag by no means but it's simple, cheap, and because of it's uniqueness, very head-turning.

This one is very nice. It's refreshing at first with top notes of bergamot and ginger then dries down to patchouli and finally to a sweet licorice caramel. I don't consider this "supremely masculine" as the ad states, but more a unisex especially for women who sort of like the "pink sugar" but think it's just too sweet and girly. And I would also like to smell this on a man. Just imagine Lolita Lempicka Au Maculin with a caramel base. Yummy!! Everyone enjoy!!!
