I get compliments on my fragrance very often. I have been using it for 10 years.

Panthere is seductive and elegant in the true Cartier fashion. I enjoy both this and Dragon equally, in different ways. Panthere is a bit sweeter than Dragon, but not overly so. I agree with a previous reviewer that Cartier fragrances are distinctive, and you either like them or not. I'm in the former category. :-) I think both Panthere and Dragon have that "classic" quality about them.

Panthere is by far the very BEST of perfume/parfum. I have a LG collection of perfume and when I leave my home, it is always Panthere that goes with/on me. Everyone wants to know what I am wearing....Panthere of course! Even the men notice my great smell of the PANTHERE! My Husband just got me the older, Red & Gold case with refill 6.6 oz, it is BEAUTIFUL.

Not sure why but Panthere totally reminds me of Poison at the opening notes. I like this but I think I still prefer Poison to it. Staying power is remarkable however.

tried this one almost 11 years ago ! frankly i went more for the name of cartier and presumed i cant go wrong ........but...... i DID !! i did not like this one much but i have lately picked up another cartier which is quite lovely.....! it is le baiser du dragon.i had been trying must actually and the sales person sprayed this as well, as a new introduction. i walked out of the store undecided about either but by the time i reached home the wrist with dragon on it gave of this bewitching fragrance !! i soon followed that up by getting myself a 100ml eau de parfum bottle.UNFORTUNATELY the fragrance disappears too soon ! SAD because it is a lovely fragrance.

i love this fragrance - i find it to be light, yet complex. there is a sentimental story, too. i used to play in an orchestra. when my daughter was very young, about 5, she said i smelled like "cold perfume" when i came in from a gig. years later she bought me Panther because it reminded her of that sensation. precious!

swiftness of a panther. double dose of ectasy. wow. truly unbelievable. one of a kind. unique. animal passion of the beast. very nice.

Hmmm...maybe a bit outdated but nice... An elegant chypre, balanced and ladylike fragrance. Staying power is not the best. 4 stars for the scent, but 3 stars for staying power.

slick amnd sleek panthere. inpiratomal. fast working. lasts long. oh the power of the panthere. great bottle. wonderful.

I went to Neimen Marcus yesterday and spoke with the Cartier rep. She told me that Cartier just brought back Panthere in the parfum, eau de parfum, and toilette. They have just introduced Panthere eau legere. Both are wonderful. The eau legere is a lighter green version. It was a good day since she gave me the rest of the pure parfum bottle of Panthere and them made me up a large vial of the pure parfum of Le Baiser du Dragon (my personal favorite). I love all three of these fragrances.

I hesitate to purchase older fragrances but lately I seem to appreciate them more than the newer ones. I suppose I am afraid of having an "old smell", but, this is exactly what I was looking for for this very hot September day in Southern California. Because of all of the wonderful reviews I am eager to try the eau de parfum when the weather cools down a bit.

Elegant, refined, classy, sexy, sensual, long lasting....AND my fav floriental scent. Mostly worn for summer days - I have both the perfume and the EDT and have been wearing this fragrance off and on for at least the last 15 years. Hubby adores this scent on me and invariably, if I ask him to choose something for me to wear from my "floral" scent wardrobe - this is the one he will pick time and again.

Absolutely delightful! Given to me as a second-hand gift from my mother who already has a fave scent. My daughter stole it from my room and won't give it back. Has completely replaced my old fave of ten years! It is light and lively and rather floral, so I still use my Red by Giorgio for a more mature, formal scent, but Panthere is the best start of every day. I didn't think I would EVER convince my 1- year-old daughter to wear a special scent, but she is a changed young lady now!

Very feminine, elegant and rich! Plus almost noone wears it - that's good if you want to have your own fragrance.

I was told by a Cartier rep that Must edt is Must du jour, to be worn during daytime, and classic Must perfume is Must du soir, to be worn during evening on its own or layered on top of Must edt. Must2 is a spin off of must1 with a marine/ozonic/watery theme to it, that was created when too many customers complained that much as they loved Must, it was too much for summer. As for Panthere, I agree that the edt is much different than the perfume, I prefer the perfume... What a masterpiece!

I recently read that Cartier designed two different formulations under the same perfume name to be worn either together or apart. Hence, Must and Must II, Panthere parfum and EDT.

I hadn't rated Panthere the last time I posted about it here, so here's my opportunity to say that it's absolutely bombshell in a classy, seductive way, and that it's beautiful worn even in warm weather, occassion permitting some drama, and why not? The parfum is what I wear, and it makes me feel dangerously kittenish. I could rave forever--let me give Panthere its 5 stars.

Excellent. Light, white florals, sweet, refined, elegant. It is very expensive but worth every penny. The cork is a glass panthere, what a surprise. That is the fetiche animal of Cartier.

Your 2 posts are interesting because they illustrate what Cartier does best:create 2 products in the same line, and come up with 2 completely different scents! It's annoying,why can't they come up with a new name? They did the same thing with Must.The Must parfum is a deep,smokey-ambery oriental, and the new E.D.T,although clearly built along similar lines,has very little in common in the overall composition with the classic parfum. I have the Panthere parfum, and I love it.

I just bought the Panthere Parfum and it is stronger and spicier than the toilette. The parfum definitely has an oriental flavor to it. Both are wonderful.

A citrus-floral, not oriental. Panthere is described as a citrus-floral on the Sephora website. It does not smell oriental to me, but does have a bit of spice to it. It is a very pleasant, sophisticated, full-bodied fragrance. Appropriate for daytime wear.

So my husband decided that my beloved Mitsouko smells like fish or cod liver oil...What a perfect excuse to go on a perfume shopping spree! I discovered Panthere,and WOW!!! Of course,it is nothing like Mitsouko, which is bound to please the offended party.The strange and wonderful thing about Panthere is that although it is very light and gentle,the whole house was permeated with the scent after I put on only a tiny drop.At the end of the day the fragrance was still there,deep,soft and pervasive,like a song you just can't get out of your head.(A good song,that is).Then HE came home,went straight to the base of my neck,and...well,the only thing I can write about that is that he really,really,loooooves Panthere.

I have been wearing this scent since its introduction in 1987. To this day, it is my favorite scent for a special occasion. I do regret, though, that they no longer make the refill size for my bottle. It was so pretty!

Panthere to my nose is a sweet, opulent luscious ambery floral, perfect for cool weather and going out for a fancy night out. One of my favorites.

It's not overly sweet and has an ambery, spicy quality but it's definitely a floral. It smells rich and elegant and my man is crazy about it.

To tell you the truth, the real reason, I have a bottle of Panthere is the bottle itself. I sold fragrance at the time that this beauty was launch and insisted on having the biggest refillable bottle. The fragrance is warm and sexy and slightly reminicent of honey. Unfortunately my bottle is at my parents house in Honolulu and my mother is holding it for ransom so that I come back for a visit.

The toilette was boring. I tried the parfum the 2nd time: sweet rose/cherry. My boyfriend's comments: milk chocolate; orange; powder. He found it very attractive.

I purchased this fragrance in Charleston years ago. I find it to be light and seductive at the same time. It is a classy and sophisticated scent.

I PURCHASED MY FIRST PANTHERE PERFUME IN CALIFORNIA 11 YEARS AGO. TO THIS DAY IT IS MY CHOSE OF FRAGRANGE.I'M ALWAYS COMPLIMENTED ON THE FRAGRANGE.
