Yeah, like another reviewer, im surprised your post made it and was not filtered. Heheh....i agree with you. But i wont use the kinda language you have. lol.

  • SAI KRISHNA TEJ REDDY09/21/2009

this is a dark scent very strong cannot be worn during the day ,only for the evenings or best at night this potrays a strong dark citrus not fresh like the armani pour homme and this scent is strong to my nose and is overpowering cannot be worn continously only at times thats my opinion

  • JOEYBEAR01/24/2009

Now THIS is a gentleman's cologne. Unbelievably warm and smooth scent.

  • ERIC04/15/2008

I went to see a Head Hunter yesterday and I told him he smelled good and asked what he was wearing. It was sorta spicy and smelled just right on him and he told me Armani Code. I'd never had the chance to smell it before and now that I finally have I will definitely test it on myself. Absolutley loved it on him, hope it's as good on me.

  • MONDRE04/05/2008

Is this black code totally different from just the code... ooops! because the review written below was meant for armani code.

  • MONDRE01/29/2008

All it has is scent of luxury which is common in all armani fragrances. I think its not a good scent at all. Its rather for the old men like 45-50s. I think emporio white is the best among armani's line up ironically its the weakest. So armani doesnt give me the best choice.

  • 7 FOR ALL MANKIND11/13/2007

I used so many colognes and armani code is top 5 on my list together with jaipur of bucheron eau the parfume, faconnable classic, allure of chanels, cartier eau the concentrated!i used all these 5 and nothing else because they are the best ever colognes for men, period!

  • YIORGOS GREECE11/07/2007

Armani Code is a very sexy, and seductive perfume. The only problem is that everyone wears this one in Greece! If someone doesnt smell Armani Code then he will smell Le Male by Gaultier. This is a law in Greece. But I bought it and I love it as everyone here!!!

  • C11/04/2007

Talked to an Armani helper guy today, he said they were the same cologne, reason for the name change was b/c marketing in Europe realized shortly after distribution that "Black Code" was also a term for a date referring to some plague (name he couldn't remember, maybe black plague?).

  • PATRICK10/28/2007

Straight up, its a very sensual smell. I love the smell myself but it isnt one of those vague colonges that appeals to anyone with a nose. Its very original and hard to get confused with anything else. Best used during night or within close distances of women.

  • DARRSHAN09/05/2007

yes now i agree with people that it is nothing great from armani.

  • PARFUMCHASER09/02/2007

After a while I've been trying hard to like this on me... and I still don't like it! I keep thinking that this one is very mediocre for being Armani. Not to mention it's totally overrated. Just amber, lemon and wood... yuck! Very old-fashioned. Just like one million existing out there. Nothing special about it. You don't have to like it just because it's Armani. Great disappointment!

  • J.RIV08/04/2007

I went and smelled it. I gave it a minuet. Then gave it 5. All I smelled was Lemon water with a little spice. I have really good chemistry so I dont know whats the deal with it. I didnt hate it but t didnt live up to the expectation I had in my mind at all. I almost was angry lol..

  • BARBARA W07/19/2007

Hi R - I'm not a guy, but am responding to your request for suggestion for a dark, sexy cologne. Some that might do the trick are: XS Black by Paco Rabanne, Bvlgari Soir, Burberry London, Carlos Santana, Desire by Dunhill in the red bottle (this is sweeter than the rest, though). Good luck.

  • MIKE07/13/2007

i have had this one for about a year now i like the smell alot very high class and unique but its not the kind of cologne that will get u mentioned everywhere u go and you dont really get much compliments by it i dont know why !!! i was reading the comments and some ppl are confused about the smell lasting long or not thing is it gets really weak after maybe an hour or two so thats why it doesnt get noticed anymore like someone has to get close to you in order to notice it thats why some ppl think it doesnt last long and some say it does

  • DAVID06/29/2007

To me it's kind of like a more subdued, powdery version of Jean-Paul Gaultier. This'll be a great night cologne.

  • SERIEL06/26/2007

I have been on the fence about this stuff because it's Armani and everyone and there mother wears Armani scents. All I can say is that Code is an amazing scent. It is very elegent, warm and mature without smelling like an old man cologne. It's up there with the best that I have tried. I'll always keep a bottle in my small gathering.

  • STEVE EMLENTON06/23/2007

Don't know 'bout these last two reviewers but this fragrance absolutely rocks. This somewhat sweet & woody Armani wonder is a definite change of pace from Acqua di Gio and still seems to be a sleeper out there.

  • DILLON06/21/2007

Its an oriental style EDT with a SWEET, spicy, woody persona. How SWEET you ask? Well, if this were a cup of coffee, it would have about five spoonfulls of sugar in it. The berry-like sweetness just interferes too much with the other fragrance notes - bumping this EDT into the dreaded UNISEX (she/male) catagory.

  • DARRSHAN06/10/2007

well iam really surprised to see so many people r after it, its just an ordinary sweet fragrance, nothing great by armani though iam a great fan of armani, this black code smells similar to joop jump which is quiet cheaper than black code and even the lasting is great of joop jump. according to me acqua di gio is the best from armani and pour homme 1984 launch.

  • ELAINE06/02/2007

did anyone think the above two have some similarity? or its only my personal feeling?

  • ALEX05/09/2007

dear friend i also smelled attitude. at first i thought this is not a typical ARMANI fragrance. I think of it as distinctive, different, long lasting, warm, closer to lauders intuition considering the ambery notes. In my opinion and since i have seen the advertisement for attitude, the whole thing gives me the impression of something totally different yet familiar suitable mostly for older men(or not). I still consider the ARMANI code being the "Queen". ANyway i bought the armani attitude love it but still armani code to me is the best. thank u

  • JAMES R.05/03/2007

Just smelled Armani attitude and I want to know what people think of it? I'm on the fence about it.......But about armani code. It is spicy, warm, and rich. One of my favorite evening ones out there. Tried prada homme but it is too soapy smelling. Armani code is the best evening fragrance. It is spicy and sensual but not heavy at all and it dries down to a smooth spiced woody note. Love it.

  • LESTAT03/31/2007

This is an excellent cologne. I dont know if its a daytime or night time fragrance but it smells awesome.3 or 4 sprays on the neck or chest and it will last for a lonnnng time. Its my only choice when I go out on saturday nights with friends or go out on a date.

  • *BARBARA W*03/01/2007

Like Rob H (whose nose I totally trust and admire!), thanks for your compliments, and I'll head to the Bvlgari postings straight away. By the way, both pour Homme and Extreme are in my top five for men.

  • R. SHREST02/22/2007

You really can't say it in a more blatant manner, can't believe it got posted on here. haha :) Well, my girl gifted it to me so it's obvious she likes it but I didn't quite fancy it. And a big thanks to Rob H. will be checking out those on my next cologne hunt. Cheers!

  • ALEX02/20/2007

i just bought this cologne and it gets my girl freinds pussy wet. so i guess its a good cologne.

  • ROB H.02/02/2007

Hey there. Haven't had the pleasure of trying Corduroy yet and Onyx was a bit of a letdown being that the drydown was somewhat similar to Drakkar Noir which is way too old school. As for deeper, darker and sensuous frags.........like Val mentioned, give Very Valentino a try and I would also suggest one of Armani's earlier ones- Emporio Armani "Night", his latest- City Glam, Relax by Davidoff (extremely hard to get by), Polo Double Black and maybe Nemo by Cacharel. You may have mixed feelings or polarized ratings compared to what I've rated them but give them a sample. Take care

  • CHRIS01/27/2007

I use it and it lasts for hours, not sure why it doesn't for some. Put it on at like 7:00 pm and went out. Girlfriend came by next morning and went to work, she had the smell on her shirt that night when she went home to change, so, YES, it lasts. I love it.

  • VAL01/23/2007

Oh I got you. You actually described my taste. My opinion? Go for Very Valentino, BIG TIME!! As for Black Code in addition to what I said before, how little it lasts it definitely lacks sofistication. This scent is shallow and only good for teenagers trying to go for their first date. Period.

  • R. SHREST01/19/2007

Can you guys help me out here with suggestions on some black/dark colognes out there. As much as I try to like Armani Code, the jus just isn't doing it for me. It lacks depth and sophistication on me and is basically a bland concoction with a spicy and a bit smoky notes. The vibrancy of the initial notes are gone within ten minutes without even hints. Not for my body chemistry then I take it. What other colognes out there has a refined depth and are dark and sensuous, for ocassions like lounging/clubbing or times with your girl. Rob. H - would like to know your opinions on Azzaro - Onyx and Zirh - Corduroy. I'm having a hard time coming across a dynamic, dark, sensual, and punchy cologne for evenings of fun. Almost all 'Black' colognes out there seem not exactly what they set out to be with regards to their titles. eg. K.C. Black, Polo Black, etc. Mysteriously dark body with fresh and vibrant top layer, any?? Cheers fellas.

  • FREDERICK01/17/2007

A lot of ppl mentioned that this cologne is not long lasting, some even said goes away in 2 hours... I spray colognes on my shirt (NOT ON MY BODY), will it last longer that way? and will it be more noticed by others, since its directly exposed to atmosphere. When i come a little close to someone (1ft.) i want them to be able to smell it.

  • ROB H.01/16/2007

Hi there, fellow cologne fanatic. I appreciate the compliments and I will certainly get back to you soon with some feedback on the Bvlgari message boards. Take care

  • VAL01/13/2007

I love the smell, first I noticed it in some fashionable magazine on the page, with an option to sniffe and fell in love with the Black Code, but it`s not on par with my other favourite Very Valentino, which is close in tones but far more lasting. Somebody said Oh it`s a lasting cologne, I could still smell it 12 hrs later on my clothes, well the only question in this case is: what did you use before, that this one seems lasting to you after only 12 hrs. Try Xerious Rouge by Givenchy-you can still smell it 1 week later!!!

  • MAX01/12/2007

Dear Rob & Barbara. First of all I must say that reviews from you both are certainly two that I am enjoy reading. As a fellow colonge fanatic from way back (but new to this site), I am mostly interested in the comments from you both to get an accurate idea from both a male and female prospective. Like myself, you both don't seem to slack fragrances but mearly pass your opinion in a positive way. Cheers to you both for that! Could the two of you please relate to my 'quest for help' on both the Bvlgari boards (See 'Pour Homme' & also 'Extreme'). I would be grateful to have the opinions of a 'guy & a lady' who seem to know what they are talking about in terms of quality and comments on fragrances. Many thanks to you both. Max.

  • R. SHRESTHA12/27/2006

As much as I want to like this one, it just isn't for me. There are some notes in this I like and really liked it first when I had a whiff of it in a mag, but it doesn't seem to work with my body's chemistry. It sort of comes out bland and too spicy on me. I've already given away the bottle my girl got for me. *sorry luv* And also don't like the fact that this is worn by every man out there, too popular for my liking. Thanks to Mario J. for the suggestions, Mont Blanc Individuelle is majestic. Want to give Prada a try.

  • WHITNEY12/27/2006

Thanks you guys, been online all night looking for a cologne that would suit my best friend, who is just recently returned to the singles market. He needs something new that projects his real sexuality, yet isn't overpowering. Sounds like I have found a winner!

  • ROB H.12/05/2006

I would somewhat agree to that except maybe Twice being significantly more floral otherwise both are great. Take care

  • J11/30/2006

Do you think this one is a much lighter version of and without "the heat" as ICEBERG TWICE? or... is it only me ? I really enjoy reading all of your reviews. Please keep it up, mate! Cheers,

  • SIRSMELLSOGOOD11/29/2006

If this is any help, I think Armani Code smells professional and not overpowering. I've even smelled this on a salesman in an expensive electronics store. I personally love this one. I bought it for my dad this Christmas and I'm thinking of getting it myself.

  • JACK MORGAN11/05/2006

this perfume just smells like a cakeee!!!!!!!!:@ its really a bad odor..and maybe it gets a little sweet after 2 hours and then it flows right away..well actually i advice u all to use the desire dunhill perfume because its a very nice perfume and it lasts really really long..it lasts days!..thank you

  • MARIO JUSTINIANI09/25/2006

To me, Black Code is easily Armani's best. It has a musky-vanilla (they call it Guaiac wood) and a very strong tonka bean accord. For you fans out there, I'd suggest giving a sniff to Prada for Men, similar in that it's both an elegant officewear and a ladylikiller; Moreover, Prada has an amber base that lifts and holds the scent for hours--it's a kind of Super B.C. Compliments guaranteed. Unfortunately--thus far-- unavailable at this site. Ricardo: I'd suggest the following for Romance: Minotaure, Antaeus, Tuscany, and Roma. Given your age, I'd say try Roma first. Office Presentations? Dump the Platinum Egoiste! It's a clubbing scent. You might try Mont Blanc Individuel if you like GQ scents or John Varvatos (which is also a clubbing scent but won't put anyone off at work) or--if you're really out on the edge and have a good sense of humor, get Quasar for an 'Acquatic'. But your best overall bet, imho would be Geir by Geir Ness. Good Luck, Mario.

  • RICARDO09/18/2006

Hi Guys, Hey Ladies, How iz it goin'? Would like to hear some of your comments on my selection of colognes. Currently. I’m in my late 20's working in a bank in the tropics and occasionally I need to meet clients and give presentations. I do not want to ‘choke’ my clients with my choice of colognes in the boardroom and I have chosen 3 office colognes to use on a daily basis. 1) Allure – Chanel, 2) Egoiste Platinum – Chanel, 3) L’eau D’Issey – Issey Miyake For causal events, I would use Chrome – Azzaro. Lastly, for more formal events / evening events / romantic dates, I was thinking of getting Black Code – Amani. I think I may need another 1-2 more bottles for evening romantic settings. Definitely need you guys’ views! Cheers everyone!

  • NICOLE09/04/2006

I ordered Armani Code on a different side however when i got it the 'Armani' was in capital letters. Do you think this is a fake? They claim that in different areas the labels vary but i am wary.

  • RUSYDAN08/21/2006

Best and most original scent I've ever smelled. Absolutely g.r.e.a.t,, u should try one...ladies love ittt...

  • WES CLEMENS08/17/2006

This is without a doubt, the most sexy (and sophisticated of all the Armani frags out there. Gets the women everytime!

  • RYAN T08/09/2006

I also have fahrenheit cologne. In my opinion, Fahrenheit is somewhat of a sharper fragrance as opposed to Code. Code has a softer and a more oriental type of scent with notes of grapefruit and hints of vanila. I consider fahrenheit to be a woodsy type of scent. I cannot put my finger on any of the notes that Fahrenheit has. If you are looking for something similar to Fahrenheit, give Spark Seduction for men a try. Code is in my opinion alot similar to Corduroy by Zirh International. Corduroy is also worth a try if you like Armani Code.

  • CIARA07/16/2006

Armani shortened the name to just "Code" a few months after the initial release. It is the exact same formula as "Black Code".

  • ELAINA07/13/2006

Is it just me, or does this cologne smell a bit like sex? I am sorry if I am offensive but I swear, it reminds me of it.....I do love the cologne, it drives me wild. It is a bit similar to Farenheit, no?

  • AARON07/10/2006

Yea it was just a rerelease like someone else said here. But god that cologne is amazing! It lasts with pretty much the same exact scent for like 8 hours on me. So I would recommend this. One of the best, but not as good as L'Eau D'Issey and Vera Wang. This cologne is my 3rd fav. I would say.

  • AARON07/06/2006

No that is not my pick up line! lol. I do not use that line at all, but I didn't want to be too loose with my language so I said something cheezy. but thanks for your reply. I am trying to find out the difference between black code and regular armani code. someone on here said they were different. And my uncle has one of them, I will have to check which one it is, but omg it smells great! I am buying it whole sale soon!

  • VINCENT07/03/2006

My former fiance' was a sucker for ADG and she recommended Mania. I checked out both Code & Mania and Code seems to be a better choice as it is a bit on the mild side. Great scent! Women all notice (not that I'm looking as my heart is still with another)

  • C.SANDERS06/29/2006

Designers switch fragrances all the time....To test the market..It's easier to say oh this is this fragrance than to re-issue a whole new fragrance, thats a lot of promotinal money....Depending on what region you live in decides to what degree your alcohol levels in your fragrances are,as well as what type of ingredients go in your bottle.....If you live in Cali it would be different than if you stayed in Boston or up North..My nose didn't deceive me we tested both colognes and the smells were not the same.....A lot like how Nautica tried to pass off two different color fragrances for the same fragrance then add the term sport to it almost 10 years later....Thats the game!!

  • *BARBARA W*06/22/2006

Armani shortened the name of Black Code to just "Code". They are the same fragrance.

  • TO; ROB06/14/2006

You were right on with the scent description. As far as mania goes, it is one of those that I think does smell good, but I think it is easier for noses to get use to. It is said that if you smell something for a long period of time that you begin not to notice it. Here is a way to check for longevity, smell a shirt that you have sprayed Mania on the day before and see if it is still there. The scent was still there with mine. If you like Code Black, also try corduroy. It is similar in alot of ways, but slightly heavier.

  • SMITTEN06/12/2006

Try Polo Blue for men... Very intimate smell that creates an instant primal attraction when my man wears it! Meeeooww!

  • ROB06/10/2006

I knew you'd like it Ryan. It was one of the better Armani scents. I have a hard time with Mania though, for some odd reason, I cant smell it!

  • BOB06/08/2006

I have an SI swimsuit magazine here with an Armani Code ad, and it smells exactly like my black code. I doubt they would be marketed in such a similar fashion if they were really different.

  • RYAN T06/08/2006

I tested this out just today and I fell in love with the scent. The scent is citrusy, and woody with a hint of a floral note in there. This is somewhat lighter but similar to Corduroy which is also a great cologne made by Zirh. The drydown doesn't change much and should last you all day. Mr. Georgio Armani. You have yet to come up with something bad. As far as CODE goes, it makes my top five. Take into account that I own alot of colognes, that says alot.

  • C.SANDERS06/01/2006

Armani Black Code and Armani Code are 2 different frgrances.....They might say they're the same but they're opposites.....Black Code has a black pepper kinda a smell...while Armani Code is soft and subtle almost like a light Chrome...I know this because my cousin came in from outta town and we had the 2 different bottles and sampled them both.....Armani Code is not Black Code by any stretch of the imagination...!!!!

  • N2DBLU05/20/2006

I would have to say this ultrasensual citrusy/woody love potion is without a doubt the sexiest and at the same time most GQ of Mr. Armani's lineup. 5*s +++!

  • BARBARA W05/16/2006

Some colognes I enjoy: Blv by Bvlgari, Polo Black, Extreme and Pour Homme by Bvlgari (fresh), Signature by ST Dupont, Dolce & Gabanna, Mania, Casran by Chopard. :-)

  • MARIANNE NORWAY05/16/2006

I think code smells lovely. But what really drives me crazy is Roma for men.. My boyfriend's older brother wear that and i go nuts every time I smell it....althoug it its his little brother I have been with for the last four years now. (Pardon my english) :-)

  • SCOTT05/14/2006

Women...As Aaron so tactfully said...What is a cologne that women truly enjoy? I have been wearing Chanel Pour Monsier for quite some time now...Still get compliments on it but am looking for others...Suggestions?

  • VC05/13/2006

I'm looking for a night/black cologne that has sandalwood notes in it. Any suggestions?

  • *BARBARA W*05/12/2006

Aaron...if you're trying to get a woman's "oven hot", my first suggestion would be to not use that expression...if that's your pick up line, there's no cologne in the world good enough to help you recover from that!!

  • *BARBARA W*05/12/2006

Hi Rob :) Some unusual suggestions there, thanks! I'll give some of them a try. I remember trying Hypnotic Poison a long time ago, but can't remember what it was like. I, too, enjoy reading your posts here. I love perfume and love to read other people's opinions and suggestions. I'll get back to you when I try some of those frags...thanks again!

  • ROB H.05/10/2006

Hello, Barbara. Here are just a few different fragrances I'd like to smell more on women............Fath de Fath, Hypnotic Poison, Scaasi, Mauboussin, Hot Couture and Eau des Merveilles by Hermes. Those are just a few for now and also wanted to let you know that I do like reading your reviews on the guys' colognes. Take care

  • AARON05/10/2006

Hello. I just ordered a small sample of this over the net and am still waiting to smell it. My question though to women is, does this cologne get your oven hot so to speak? lol. I mean I don't care what guys think about it. I am looking for a cologne I will love and that women will love equally or even more! So any women's comments would greatly appreciated. Oh yea.... also is this cologne for appropriate for early 20's guy? Thank u all! :)

  • *BARBARA W*05/06/2006

Really appreciate the input. I totally agree with you, Jerry, that most women put on far too much perfume. A scent should be subtle enough to make someone want to come closer, not run away from you! And Johan, those were great suggestions. I own some of those, so I'm glad they're appreciated. :) A recent discovery I had is Burberry (the original in the round bottle). Very soft and earthy...Jerry, you'd probably like it. And I also just picked up Bvlgari Extreme for my boyfriend. I absolutely love it - so subtle and refreshing. Very sexy. Thanks again, and take care!

  • JOHAN H05/02/2006

Hi there! Here are some of the fragrances I like on a woman: Armani Mania for women, Hugo, Boss Intense, Kenzo Flower, Gucci Envy Me, Calvin Klein Euphoria, Calvin Klein Eternity. Think that was it :)

  • JERRY05/01/2006

I think often times some women tend to wear cologne/perfume too heavy; too many squirts perhaps. I am going to suggest that many if not most men prefer just a hint of a nice scent only when you happen to be fairly close to her. A soft feminine scent is nice. I tend to like the earthy/oriental scents over the obviously floral--although real light floral can be nice, too. I also think a person should consider staying with a signature scent versus putting on something different every other day.

  • ROB H.04/29/2006

Thanks for the b-day wish! Anyways, the new City Glam smells like a more versatile, modern/urban and spicier version of the first of the Emporio scents (Emporio Armani "HE"-1998). CG is actually part of the Emporio series. I've received so many great compliments from women of all ages which pretty much means it's doing its job. I probably like it just as much as Acqua di, Emporio Armani Night and Code. I'm always open for suggestions on any other colognes you might want to try, take care.

  • *BARBARA W*04/29/2006

Hi guys! You all seem to have great taste in cologne. Question: what are some of your favorite perfumes you like to smell on women? Sometimes it seems like the perfumes women love, men don't, and vice versa. Thanks for the input! Ciao...

  • CRIS KAANTO04/28/2006

Hey there, I guess..........Cologne Master. Seen your name on quite a few message boards on this site so far which I am brand new on so you'll start seeing mine eventually. But anyways, just wanted to let you know that I do own the new City Glam which is way up there with the other popular GA hits but might not necessarily be any better but indeed a little different and equally good. This one actually reminds me of the original Emporio Armani but more spicy, powering, stylish, upbeat and modern and most appropriate for the evenings. Take care

  • BEAR04/27/2006

Hot damn, this sexy scent has got to be up there with Acqua Di Gio and Vera Wang, you cannot go wrong with these three, they give you confidence when worn and be prepared for the compliments! The bottle design is great too. Ideal for nights out and with that special someone as is VW, whereas ADG is more suited for daytime. Alternate between these three and you'll find they are the ones to beat! Quality through and through and definitely should be in any man of tastes collection.

  • ROB W04/25/2006

Happy birthday fellow cologne lover. I have not had the oppurtunity to smell the new GA cologne yet, it is a lighter scent? For some odd reason, the Marshall Fields by me didnt even have it yet! Can you believe it, Fields not having it? Anyway, any imput is greatly appreciated.

  • *BARBARA W*04/21/2006

My boyfriend flipped for Black Code today (and he's VERY fussy), and immediately bought a bottle. I like it very much, too, though I didn't flip over it...reminded me a bit of soap?? I still prefer Mania, though I know it's not everyone's favorite. But Black Code is a very good cologne, sophisticated and sexy without being stuffy. Good choice.

  • ROB H.04/21/2006

Just got the new City Glam by GA for my birthday today and I'm absolutely lovin' it. Code, EAN and AdG are all great but this new one has a more urban and stylish touch to its spiciness & woods. Anyone can post back to me if they've sampled and let me know what you think.............does it beat this one or his others?

  • ROB H.04/18/2006

Some good choices for summer and/ or outdoor use are- Claiborne Sport, Allure Homme Sport, Desire Blue, Pal Zileri, Polo Blue, Pleasures and Le Roy Soleil. Those are some I can think of for now. If you get around to sampling them somewhere then eventually you can give me your feedback. Take care

  • ROB W04/13/2006

Hey Rob...Your choices are great. The only one I have trouble with is Vera Wang...for some reason I cannot get it to smell right on me. To each his own I guess. Anyway, My top ten would probably be: 10. Pleasures 9. Paris Hilton 8. Armani Black Code 7. Hugo 6. Romance 5. Emporio Armani 4. Cool Water 3. Le Male 2. CK one Summer 1. Aqua Di Gio I was wondering, If I could have your expert opinion, on some nice, light scents that would be good for the summer. Any imput from you fellow colonge fanatic would be great. Take Care.

  • ROB H.04/11/2006

Hi there, fellow cologne fanatic. For some of my favorites and suggestions, check out the Kenneth Cole Reaction message board where you'll see my top ten twice along with some suggestions on the first one.......... let me know what you think. Take care.

  • ROB W04/07/2006

Hi Rob- I value your opinion on your posts that you have put up. In your opinion, what are your favorite colognes? and what are some good suggestions? I have agreed with the reviews you have given on your colognes. Any ideas would be great!

  • BOB AGAIN04/04/2006

I don't care if they did change it... name or otherwise. BLACK code smells incredible. You know a cologne is good when you can't stop smelling yourself. It's that good. I can't wait to try it out this weekend... see how the ladies like it.

  • TONY T04/03/2006

said but i will say it again. the best from armani and black code was the original name then he changed it to just code. same fragrance as you can find both in stores. not too strong or too subtle but just right.masculine though being somewhat sweet unlike the dreadful UVM from paco and M7. compliments galore and great for all ages and seasons.

  • GOLD SAINT GEMINI04/03/2006

..........the best Armani fragrance ever created and one of the best fragrances overall created for a man. Refined, sophisticated, ultraseductive and highly masculine...........Armani at his very best!

  • BOB04/02/2006

I noticed that there's both Armani Code, and Armani Black Code. Is there a difference? Did Armani just pull black off the name because it rolls off the tongue better? Any input appreciated.

  • BIGNUTZ04/01/2006

THIS IS TRULY AND POSITIVELY WITHOUT A DOUBT "THE BEST" FRAGRANCE I'VE EVER WORN AND I AM COMPLIMENTED TO THE HIGHEST BY ALL WHEN I WEAR IT!! JUST TOOK OVER AS MY NEW #1 IN MY COLLECTION. THANK YOOOUU, MR. ARMANI!!

  • STEVE YOUNG03/25/2006

The best of the best among Armani's lineup as well as the most sensual and sophisticated. Masculine and seductive, classic and modern.

  • MAURICIO03/23/2006

This is simply the best Armani´s men´s fragance, and last longer than mania, another good fragance from this great designer. I want infromation about the new fragances out there from the cologne masters from this site. Thanks

  • DUC03/05/2006

The sexiest and most sophisticated of the lineup surpassing AdG and Emporio Night as the new weapon of choice.

  • AREM02/23/2006

Im not sure about you guys but on my type of skin, I find black code to be really long lasting. I sprayed some on at 7 in the morning and i can still find hints of it 12 hours later.

  • JOHN S02/21/2006

I think for evening wearing Joop, D&G,Jil sander and Black Code are suitable.Good Luck

  • VICTOR RICHLAND CREIGHTON III02/19/2006

The blockbuster of all the fragrances from the designer. Sleek, modern, sophisticated and sexy as hell!! A must have for any die hard cologne fanatic whether you're 20 or 50.

  • KEVIN02/16/2006

Nice fragrance, nothing really different or original about it though, nice scent though, although could have had more staying power. After an our you have to try and find it on your wrists.

  • BRYANT02/13/2006

i love the smell, especially the dry down, however it has no lasting power. the scent disappears in 1-2 hours.

  • JEAN CLAUDE C02/07/2006

Ok, i admit it's special, but isn't it too intense, too overwhelming, too ...exagerated, or should i say concentrated?

  • RX-801/28/2006

Very seductive and sophisticated latest addition to the designer's lineup is possibly his best eclipsing the overly worn Acqua and even Emporio Night which is his best for evening wear. Sexy, luxurious, masculine and not overpowering for the ladies.

  • ALEX01/27/2006

Armani code for men is simply P E R F E C T !!! a women s version is coming up in april and i am simply thrilled!!!! the bottle is amazing the whole thing is just... Fabulous!! the excellent partner for armani code men is coming...Women get ready for men will melt! Armani at his best...

  • FRANCIS01/19/2006

It is probably not an everday colgone (to work, school, etc). Put this on when you go out.

  • ZATTY01/16/2006

omg black code is amazing! im so in love with it..it smells soooo good! im even melting as i type this lol im addicted and obsessed.

  • M.R.01/16/2006

Sleek, modern, sexy, sophisticated; Armani at his absolute best.

  • MARILYN01/16/2006

At first it feels like a 55+ perfume..but after a few minutes it's just amazing with its lemon and spicy fragrance... Simply sexy.

  • JEREMY01/14/2006

Very sensual and sexy sent that any women would love on a guy. Very masculine. It has a kind of sweet smell, woodsy and spicy smell to it.It is very hard to describe exactly, but I do think women would love the scent. There is only one problem with this scent. It is too light and doesn't last at least on me. I don't if anyone else has tested it out. I just tried a tester on myself at the mall and it was gone within 1/2 hour to a hour, which is nothing at all.

  • STEVE W01/06/2006

Cheers, i have ordered a 5 ml mini of Minotaur to give it a blast, ill be sure to let you know what i think

  • RMJ01/04/2006

Hmm, for an evening fragrance...I think black code is a great one to begin with (just so you know). As TonyT said, a classic for formal wear wouldn't be a bad idea, i'd recommend Opium by YSL. Also give Signature by S.T. Dupont a try, as it is a true hidden gem. I'll also agree that Minotaure is a great one and it is not a commonly worn fragrance (which you asked for).

  • JOEY01/04/2006

I have the same question as Buggy and RMJ. I saw Armani Black Code at a dept. store but when I purchased it off this site I got Armani Code. Which is the new name? Black Code or just Code? Excellent fragrance by the way. Much different from my others in my (tiny) collection.

  • TONY T01/02/2006

very nice and maybe too current in your selection.love essential and anything by ms. herrera but most of your selection isfrom the past year or so. (ADVICE) you need a classic and for evening wear that will have you smellin like one in a million try minotaure by palomo picasso. also magnetism is one of my personal fav's also. as far as more daywear/ casual try 212 H20, sample it at least. also geir by geir ness for informal events.

  • STEVE UK12/29/2005

Im a bit of a collector when it comes to fragrances. I currently own: Evening Wear... Armani Black Code Gaultier Le Male CK Escape Yyves St Laurent Live Jazz Davidoff Silver Shadow Casual Wear... Issey Miyake L'eau d'issey Armani City Glam 212 White Herrera Aqua Everyday Wear... Hugo Boss Energise 212 On Ice Lacoste Essential Cool Water Deep Givenchy Blue Label DKNY Homme Paul Smith Extreme Kenzo Homme As you can see i have alot of different everyday wear fragrances but not much variety for evening wear or casual wear, infact one or two of my evening wear ones should not be evening wear fragrances. Has anyone got any suggestions for a new evening wear fragrance, im after something not too common, a hidden gem if you will, something modern but classy. Also if anyone has any advice about my current collection and the occasions i wear them for i would welcome any suggestions. Steve

  • BUGGY12/24/2005

Im planning to get ARMANI BLACK CODE this week and from what i've heard, it smells EXCELLENT, lady killer. lol. but on the other hand i've noticed i havent seen ARMANI BLACK CODE.. onli ARMANI CODE so i was wonderin does it smell the same or whatnot.

  • RMJ12/20/2005

Hmm, it appears that Armani changed the name of it to "Armani Code" instead of "Armani Black Code", i wonder why they did this...I have a bottle of the original Black Code, does anyone know if it's different from "Code" at all? Also, does anyone know the reason why they changed the name? Maybe my original Black Code bottle will be a collectors item some day lol.

  • Z.G. ARCHIBALD12/11/2005

Truly the most sexy and sophisticated of all the Armani fragrances out there.

  • AL11/26/2005

guys the black is gone and what is left is armani code this is how the "new" fragrance is called, armanicode like armanimania thanks

  • P.T. STOCTOROCTON11/22/2005

GQ smooth sophisticated stuff which is basically Armani at his best. You can never go wrong with an Armani.

  • ROCK11/12/2005

I really like this stuff. I really don't know what some of the other posters are thinking when they say it is light and not long lasting...On me it lasts quite a long time, and it isn't light, you don't want to put a whole lot of it on. First and foremost i will say that this is not a cologne you would wear every day. It is a cologne that i would recommend being worn on special nights; either a night out with a special someone or a close romantic night staying in with your special someone. Don't bother putting this cologne on if you aren't dressing up either. I am a bit more prone to recommending it for winter time night wear due to it being such a warm scent also (though it would serve well year round if you only get to pick one special occasion cologne). Again, as a final note i will say to be sparing putting this cologne on. You want it to be just enough to catch a female's nose, and then she'll want to smell more. You want it to be inviting. If you put too much on it will be overpowering and the female may want to back off to get some air as this is a pretty thick warm scent.

  • PARFUMCHASER11/10/2005

WELL, JUST ANOTHER AVERAGE SCENT. NOTHING NEW ABOUT IT, ALTOUGH IT'S CLASSY AND MASCULINE. NOT AN EVERYDAY SCENT, BUT I CAN SAY IT SMELLS OLD TOO, LIKE GRANPA'S. YOU CAN'T RECOGNIZE IT AS ARMANI, JUST LIKE SOMETHING ELSE AROUND.

  • TONY T11/07/2005

of the year.hmm..hands down..without a doubt. lacoste essential.just received a sample of this and move over black code, paris and bvlgari, all hell and del mar. this is the sh_t. green and fresh.this about the fragrance is true.it uses TIME RELEASE TECHNOLOGY which allows the juice 2 maintain it's initial freshness throughout the day. wherever you spray this magnificent scent all u gotta do is rub skin 2 break molecules that then release aroma top notes. no i do not work for lacoste but love gators and this scent. hey my 1st tattoo might be a gator.very soon i will redo my top 10 list and guys do the same on del mar or bvlgari aqva board!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FARAZ11/04/2005

bottom line, this cologne is amazing. Not ur daily cologne though. Save it for a night out or a special occasion. ANd since its sorta pricey ($60 for 2.5 oz.) you don't wanna waste it for something meaningless. I think since this cologne is relatively new, not too many people know about it. But in time im willing to be it will be a top seller.

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD11/01/2005

Did a little sniffing today at a Dept. Store. Out of the 8 fragrances I sampled, this is the only one to leasantly surprise me.It has a light, sweet scent.I thought vanilla was in it,but the fragrance description says tonka bean. Are they of a similiar scent? Its subtle to me,but the scent is an nose catcher.I asked the attendant what was her best seller. She said Black Code. After sniffing around a few more minutes, I decided to ask a female customer what did she like. She said, "Let me show you, I just bought this for my husband yesterday." She went around the counter and pointed to a bottle of Black Code.

  • J.D10/30/2005

Thanx everyone for your all suggestion but i decided i'll buy burberrys brit or black code thanx again.

  • ROWLEY10/22/2005

for winter i recommend Cool Water Deep. CWD seems to be the way to go for someone that is fifteen and has no idea to get. CWD is not too expensive but not cheap and it does smell differant from the overly worn but good cool water. CDW is ladie killer. youll enjoy it.

  • RN10/21/2005

Well, I think you should try Mania by Armani, L'instant de Guerlain or maybe just regular Hugo Boss. These, I think are the best winter colognes. I am not sure about Black Code, but I really doubt you should use this one, because it's for older people.

  • GQ ANALYST10/10/2005

Classify this as a confident business scent. Something new, sophisticated, works well in mature business environment. Not for the immature or to wear "clubbing"

  • ROB H.10/10/2005

Black Code is excellent stuff but the thing is that you might end up attracting the female teachers rather than your fellow female students. Black Code is more or less, an evening fragrance or might as well be an all-around fragrance to wear like the overly used Acqua di Gio by the same designer. Do you want to smell like 15 or twice your age? Some colognes that I know of that are decent for winter include Aramis Ice, 212 White, Emporio Armani White and even Himalaya by Creed..........just some suggestions. Those are great for winter but not necessarily in your age bracket. Happy cologne hunting!

  • LEO10/09/2005

Yes get it...winter, summer, spring, whatever. I've tried alot of colognes and this is one of the best ones out right now.

  • J.D09/16/2005

hi everyone i'm looking a cologne for wear it in winter im 15 years old and i will wear it for school is the black code good for me?What about other colognes?

  • JULIAN C. STRATUSON08/22/2005

A great sleeper for the time being and to me it's the best from Armani equal to Emporio Armani Night. Seductive and extremely GQ sophisticated, it's a definite break from the overly-worn-to-hell Acqua di Gio.

  • LEO08/19/2005

Do yourself a favor and get this cologne and not any other one...its worth it!! I bought a mini, and when it runs out im getting the whole thing.

  • MATT TURNER08/06/2005

I like it, women like it, what more could you ask for?? Many compliments on this cologne, Armani is on top

  • KENNETH V. RICHELIEU08/04/2005

The bottle might look similar to Mania which to me is mediocre Armani, but this sensual and extremely sophisticated fragrance is my personal favorite right after Emporio Armani Night.

  • CB08/03/2005

A agree with Tony T on the Chrome, it is one of my personal favorites, but I also reccomend Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme. To me it seems to be the best overall scent. If you go with one of those two you cannot go wrong.

  • NIKITA 07/15/2005

Hopefully it hasn't posted yet but disregard what I said about the other colognes. Some of the ones like Givenchy Pi may be too overwhelming for you. If you want a nice smell that lasts long and is not too strong then try Paris Hilton. It lasts and it also changes smell after awhile. Perry Ellis Red is also good but may be too fruity for you. For the winter go with Cool Water Deep but it doesn't seem to last too long on skin.

  • NIKITA 07/14/2005

Black Code is good but not the bomb and it don't last. Already I've smelled copies. For a casual everyday scent try PARIS HILTON, COOL WATER DEEP, PERRY ELLIS RED or KC REACTION and for more dressier days try either BURBERRY TOUCH or WEEKEND or either GIVENCHY PI (this may be too vanilla for you). Hopefully you don't come back and say I'm crazy and say that everthing i recommended smells like S*#t!

  • TONY T 07/09/2005

figure out what kinda scents you like.orientals, fresh and clean scents woody etc... no disrespect bro but you have not sample many scents so you probably don't know what the hell i'm talking about right ? 2 keep it basic try chrome or curve. both are inexpensive but not cheap and every female loves curve. 2 be different try 360 red, very hot and not overused. also for sweet scents try dunhill desire or signature.. for more heavier muskier scents nothing beats gucci envy

  • KRNLPZ07/03/2005

I had a boyfriend who wore this and it smelled amazing... Every time he left my place the scent lingered on my pillow...you get the picture.

  • CC06/25/2005

i'm looking for nice cologne, not very strong but smells nice and long lasting smell.

  • NIKITA 06/22/2005

Finally a clean oriental that doesn't give a headche and is not overly sophisticated. Expect to smell this scent in later colognes this year. To me it smells like a cross between Subtil and BOSS.

  • DAVE06/17/2005

i usually wear sweeter fragrances like platinum and curve, but this one is great for nights out. i had a girl pick this one out, thats what i usually do when i pick a cologne for obvious reasons. anyways, i think this one is the next lady killer. very mature, masculine and deep. i didnt give it 5 stars cause i'm yet to see how it works since i've only worn it once.

  • JOHN06/06/2005

Congatulations to Georgio Armani for this very pleasant product. It has full of sense of sensation.

  • KEVIN06/04/2005

same old thing, this cologne is exactly like other armani colognes they just vary from lighter to deeper scents, nothing new but has a descent scent.

  • MICHELANGELO06/01/2005

its average nothing special or new, it has a familiar scent and you can tell its armani, its the type of colonge only to be worn on certain occasions if you wish but definitely not an everyday cologne.

  • ALEX05/25/2005

Black code is the best scent ever! long lasting understated yet heady!Giorgio Armani is my best so is black code! Get it on and see what happens

  • DARK05/24/2005

Very nice fresh oriental. Good for summer nights + it's a constant compliment getter. Better than Mania imo.

  • A. NONY. MOUS05/18/2005

Tried this at a store one day, and it smelled like Play-doh on me, with a touch of roasted nuts or something. Lasted a while though. Not the worst stuff I ever tried, but I think Burberry Brit is similar and works better on me.

  • R.J.05/16/2005

"BLACK" IS TRULY NOT THE "CODE" OF SILENCE WHEN WEARING THIS MASTERPIECE. WOMEN ARE ADDICTED TO IT WHEN I WEAR IT. ANOTHER ARMANI CLASSIC IN THE MAKING.

  • SOLYTAIRE05/16/2005

Nice, Very nice. Very fresh but not florally. Nor is it very sweet but it is fresh and sharp. Its for grown men. Crisp, Im gonna get me some.

  • ROB05/12/2005

This scent is amazing. I have never smelled anything so good, nor anything that has lasted as long on me as this one has. I highly recommend this one for any Armani fans. Simply the best!

  • MAN05/12/2005

The shape is like MANIA. I'm afraid it's the same .... very light and lasting only for 20 minutes ...!

  • ROB H.05/10/2005

All I can say about this masterpiece from Armani is that this is the ultimate expression in sensuality combined with sophistication.

  • W.B.05/10/2005

AWESOME SCENT THAT WOMEN ADORE TO THE FULLEST. CAN BECOME THE BEST ARMANI FRAGRANCE IN DUE TIME, SURPASSING THE LEGENDARY ACQUA DI GIO. ANOTHER KEEPER IN MY COLLECTION.
