This is a real Italian, masculine fragrance that continuous the tradition of Trussardi, who are known for their leather products. The composition of this perfume is delightful and of high quality, just like Trussardi leather belt or portmone. Aromatic, masculine notes of lavender, basil and spruce are in the top, and they lead to the heart of the fragrance which is more spicy that floral: note of rose is followed by bay leaf, cinnamon and carnation. The sharp masculine base is made of patchouli, labdanum, Tonka bean and, of course, leather. The perfume was created by Beatrice Piquet in 1983, and the bottle was designed by Nicola Trussardi.

SIMPLY THE BEST,GETS THE GIRLS FERRAMONES ACTIVE, HARDER TO GET THESE DAYS WELL WORTH THE EFFORT

  • TONY T10/20/2009

LOUD AND BRASH 80'S SCENT. NO SPACE FOR IT IN 2009 UNLESS YOU ARE OVER 50 STILL HANGING ON TO THE 80'S.

  • GREG01/03/2009

Never have I worn a fragrance that gets as much or positive a response at Trussardi Uomo. Bold, but not overpowering. Leather & wood rather than flowery and sweet. Fragances react differently on everyone, this one has hit a home run with me for over 15 years.

Yesterday I tested this and there was a note that was really deeply disgusting. Nauseating. I'll try it again sometime soon, but I'm not getting my hopes up. It lags far behind Caron's Yatagan that's supposed to be in the same league.

I discovered Trussardi Uomo in the mid 80's in the Canary Islands.I got attracted by the lizzard leather like black bottle and when I tried it I was just conquered. The scent was so deep ,potent and manly. It smells so good.I fully agree with posts which say this fragrance won't be enjoyed by young folks. You gotta be a mature man to take full advantage of it.I am a collector for more than thirty years and I put Trussardi Uomo in the top ten of my large selection of fragrances.WOOOWW!

  • TONYGIO11/14/2007

A true 80's powerhouse classic fragrance...which is to me very reminiscent of Salvador Dali's bonfire masterpiece.....except that this is not quite as dark and depraved...which for me makes this one just a bit more wearable...though maybe not as daring.

  • CHRIS COLOGNE06/14/2007

It's been a looong while since my last post! I wanted to warn the younger guys who are considering purchasing this scent that it is not a fragrance to attract younger girls. Much too potent and mature of a fragrance for their noses. They will not like it. I recommend Trussardi Uomo only to the 30's and up crowd. This is more a fragrance connoisseur collectible!

  • JUDE C05/10/2007

This stuff smells very good. It is unique as anything. You will be the only one wearing this stuff. Very potent, but not all that interesting of a scent. It is for colder weather, it is very deep and dark and sexy. I like it a lot, it is so rare. Solid, but probably not outstanding. Not much to say on this one, not real passionate about it - like antaeus or third man.

  • SERGIO02/21/2007

A dry, spicy, woody, green, leather-y chypre that possesses a powerful, dark, enigmatic character. It is a luxurious, Italian original and unmistakably male - not a trace of sweetness to be found. This (cool weather) scent gives the man who wears it an aura of distinction and class.

  • SYLVIE01/24/2007

WOW - this is a black magic masterpiece from the 80's where fragrances were strong, posh and wonderful long lasting. I discovered this fine, well-blended Italian Trussardi fragrance in 2007 for the first time! What a nice olfactory surprise: Elegant, refined and strong. This is an excellent classic leathery chypre fragrance! A fragrance of class and tasteful style. Thumbs up for this oldie!!! 5 stars and more. The bottle design is unique and extra-ordinary.

  • AFICIONADO01/29/2005

For those moments when air is fresh after the summer rain and heart beats somewhat faster. The bottle alone is elegant and suggestive of what lies inside. Masculine and refined. Get it.

  • LEO01/01/2005

Having first been given Trussardi on the first of many memorable trips to Roma, I delight in having found a place to replace the empty bottle which I have kept for years. Mille grazie.

  • CARLOS CRUZ QNS. NYC06/29/2004

I just posted a message and wanted to say again that if you try Trussardi you'll love it..and this fragrance site is good to go.

  • CARLOS06/29/2004

This is by far one of the richest fragrances ever made and it's evocotive darkness is it's lure, for the discerning only..enjoy.

  • ERIC05/27/2004

It's a dark fragrance that is not very versatile. You can only use it for super formal occasions. The topnotes are bad then after it settle it get a little better but not enough for me. The main trouble with Trussardi is that the scent is aged.

  • JEFF05/19/2004

The reason everyone is sold out is because it is no longer imported into the U.S. The scent is a wee too powerful for my tastes, so I won't miss it. If this one is your cup of tea, stock up now. It is gone for good when all the inventory is depleted.

  • CHRIS COLOGNE01/20/2004

This is an intensely masculine scent. Deep and rich, but it has a soft edge to it. It doesnt have the sharp, woodsy edge of Aramis or Givenchy Gentleman. Its more like a musky odor that stays closer to the skin....well my skin anyhow. I guess Fabrizio didn't have the right chemistry for it. I like it alot and see why its sold out on so many perfume websites. The snake skin like black container rocks also.

  • PAUL J. ADAMS12/30/2003

This is the best fragrance I've ever purchased. It is the best.

  • FERNANDO11/27/2003

This scent is really classy and it smells very expensive. It is very strong too. I think it is perfect for using it with a nice suit or for formal use. I would never use this with a t-shirt. I think casual is the opposite of this fragrance. But for formal use, I think it is the perfect partner for a nice suit. Just don't use too much of it.

  • JIM05/07/2003

Although America is suffering a shortage of Trussardi Uomo at this time ( as well as ethical political leadership). I will continue to wear this outstanding product as long as I can acquire it.

  • JIM05/03/2003

Very good product, but no one seems to carry the 3.3 spray..... Is this an ordering error or is this manufacturer refusing to ship to the U.S. for humanitarian reasons???

  • PHAZE03/20/2003

yeah the women love it, this parfum makes you very interesting..

  • RIC01/15/2003

I reciently bought a 50ml of this one because of the year, the black bottle, and the negitive review from FABRIZIO. Just what I thought - great stuff! Here is my ideal style scenerio for this one: just finish a good workout - particularly the arms, chest, and abs. put on some nice grey dress pants, a black Vneck, and too much Trussardi - out and about in your car. Now your feeling good..

  • FABRIZIO12/12/2002

What can I tell you, I'm Italian and and after reading these reviews I bought it without testing it, and guess what? I didn't like it, my girl didn't like, my mother didn't like it, my girlfriends at work didn't like it, the only one that liked it was granpa (70 yrs old) so I gave it to him. The stuff is too strong, soapy, spicy and it has been officially discontinued (wonder why?) Wanna get the best Italian scents? Bulgari no doubt

  • MARIANNE12/05/2002

Like my name suggests I am a female, but since I am from Europe I have known this one since I was a teen. Nothing compares to it. There is nothing like this one in the USA, people will ask you what do you waer. I am so attrcated to this one, and all men love it too if they smell it, that I have to watch out not to try to talk to someone for 10 minuts longer just so I can still enjoy and inhale the scent. It is so hard to find, and most men in the States do not know about it, that you won't smell it on anyone, but it is so classy, that every one will know, this is an expensive kind. Very classy, and will invite your woman to bed with you. The price is nothing compared to what it will do for you. You will seriously be taken seriously. Not to mention the bottle too. A MUST BUY if you don't want to stay and smell mediocre or cheap. One of the very best Italian fragrance you can buy for men. Italians really do know what women want..... Marianne

  • SIMONLEO09/03/2002

Good fragrance for men. The bottle is legendary, the smell is classy!

  • WOLFGANG08/01/2002

Just can agree to the ones writing above. It unfortunately is hard to find, but I love it's fragrance, and the women around realize it's distinct charme.. and ask what kind a fragrance it is.. not too bad an idea to start a little small talk, smirk

  • MIKE REINDL10/09/2001

I've found Trussardi to be a hard fragrance to find but well worth the effort. Woman love the stuff and i'm always asked what fragrance i'm wearing. Lent some to a mate the other week and he ended up fighting the woman off. He to is now converted to Trussardi

  • TOM SIMO01/26/2001

I have been wearing Trussardi uomo since I was first introduced to the colonge on my trip to Italy in 1996 and have been wearing it ever since. I receive many compliments on the scent and it is very enjoyable to wear. I will continue to wear it as long as they make it. Hats off to Trussardi!!!!!!
