I took a chance on this fragrance, not having the benefit of a sampler. I like it; it's citrusy and sweetish going on, and it reminds me a little of Eternity after it dries down (on me at least). It's not nearly as sharp as 1-12 or Z-14, to me. (I wish they would bring back Halston Limited...remember that one? Purplish color in a silver and clear glass bottle. Limited was one of my favs.) Anyway, Halston Z is going to be one of my summer fragrances.

I have worn this cologne on and off for ten years now. My wife likes it and I recieved a compliment just the other day on this scent from a co worker. Z starts out like a fruity floral scent then starts to smell soapy to a small degree as the drydown progresses. The dry down for the most part stays constant. Some people may say it's girly, (to each their own) but I think it's refreshing. If I get compliments on it by the ladies (which I do) Halston has done something right. It will also lift your spirits. I would rather smell soapy than reak of the horrible Angel by Thierry Mugler or Micheal by Micheal Kors which those two I believe are the most sorry excuses for cologne that I have ever seen.

I just got a sample bottle and its seem okay. Its stands apart from the rest. Has a Different and Distinct smell.
