| You seem fond of misspelling my name . Did I get yours right? My German's a bit rusty. Perhaps a more constructive approach is to ask which scents you DO enjoy in men's fragrances, if any. Not to carry on ad nauseum, but imho MK is a lighter version of Giivenchy Gentleman for the younger crowd that has od'd on the ubiquitous aquas. I hope those of us who like it feel entitled to enjoy it without having to justify our choices to some ill mannered poster. As Coco Chanel ( Or was it Jacques Guerlain? ) observed: Nil carborundum illegitimi.

| Hello, I want to say in defense of the guy that is getting slammed for being half latino and his use of his product. First I'm the guy that posted about a year ago (half Puerto Rican) that consists of Half Inca indian and half white. For myself there aren't any Black people in my family. With that said I can't speak on someone else's family.
But can this stuff be worn in the office ? Yup, but i just go for one lite spray on my abs so it has to fight to come up thru my dress shirt and tie. There are some strong frags out there that can indeed be worn in the office but you just need to know how to properly wear them.
This is like saying that all woody/tabac. frags are for Black people. What ? For one I'm not, but two I love all kinds of frags. I wear 50 different frags. One is Ungaro III which which is tasteful, check out many reviews there. Also I wear Abercrombie Fierce which is known to be the frag that lots of white guys wear. But I don't look at things as color. If it smells good on me I wear it. I make sure I only wear things I get compliments on. I've been told I have good body chem. Hell I can wear a damn $2 axe body spray and get compliments. There just some people with more natural body odore then others black, white, and latino (brown). Go to the gym and find out. There are some guys that can start to smell of funk even before they break a sweat. I've seen this with all colors. Now imagine this guy with MK on ....... EWWWWWWWWWWw it would stink to high heaven ! A good example of bad body chem. What if this same guy white or black or Fierce ? Still ewwwwwwwwwwww right .. Bad body chem.
there was a previous post about wet hot weather and MK making it stink more.... Well something interesting happened to me not long ago. I went to a Major theme park. I had on MK, but forgot I had it on. Well when it's hot and you walk thru these them parks there are little water sprinklers that keep you cool as you're walking around. This water contact and hot weather made the smell fantastic. I smelled it and didn't know it was me. Then some of the girls behind me in line for the ride said someone here smells good... and they were trying to figure it out too. After a while I figured out it was me.
for the record as well I've had lots of people at work think it smells fantastic, no complaints and trust me if people don't like it at my job they will complain.
One needs to know how to where what compliments them and when in situations like work how to where it.

| Here we go again. Had to point out you're Latino (and white you say)? Sure there's no black in your family tree baby boy? The fragrance stinks and you purport to say this is fine to wear to the office. It isn't. This is something that is supposed to be worn in the evenings not to offend co-workers. And while we're at it I've noticed you always go on a tangent whenever you post on one fragrance you start rambling on ad naseum about thousands of other fragrances. What do the fragrances at the bottom you've listed that YOU enjoy have anything to do with this smelly fragrance Michael Kors? Answer us that Mario. Smooch to you babes. |

| Great balancing act of pipe tobacco, suede and patchouli. Katherine, I'm Latin and white, will that do? Another one to enthrall the 18-25 crowd of women along with Roma, or-- in case they still want to sit on daddy's lap--Aramis. MK also has the advantage of being able to be used for daytime and officewear.
If your taste runs to women who are sophisticated AND in their 40's or beyond, there's Creed's VINTAGE Tabarome ( The regular smells like inoffensive aqua with a dash of sushi ) but the 'Vintage' was a favorite of Bogart and Churchill--GREAT tobacco frag, so, if you're loaded and wear suits rather than jeans you can use it , as well as Jean Patou PH and Jean Desprez "Versailles PH " sometimes available on e-bay and such, albeit at ridiculously high prices. Stick to Eoiste and Creed's Original Vetiver, available here at PE and--if they are ever in stock again, Dunhill '34 and Havana. Ladykillers, all!
However, if you're searching for true love gentlemen, go with Antaeus by night, Erolfa by the seashore, and Nicole Miller for Men anytime. Don't overspray, speak the truth, and be well. Good Luck. |

| Hey guys, I don't think skin type makes a huge difference, but it makes some. I'm half Puerto Rican and have "oily" skin. I'm a lite brown or tan whatever you want to call me. This stuff smells good ! You have to go on reactions you get from it. I when I had seen it at the Mall I sprayed it on the card and couldn't really get a good read of how it smelled. So sprayed it on me and let it linger. I was impressed. Everytime and mean evertime I've worn it to the club I've got taps on my shoulders by attractive women asking me what cologne I'm wearing because it smells good. If I'm dancing with them forget about ! The ones I get complements on the most are
#1 Michael Kors
#2 Gucci (homme) in similar bottle as Michael kors
#3 Eternity (though old school this gets compliments like crazy)
#4 Abercrombie Fierce
#5 Lanvin by Lanvin (not oxygen). It's blue in a almost oval bottle.
#6 Dun Hill Man (brown)
#7 Roberto Cavali Man (not just Cavali they are different)
But don't believe when someone says Michael Kors isn't good. The proof is bar none every time I wear it anywhere someone says something good. It helps when they are attractive women ! It can be strong so this is mainly my club cologne but will wear it other times just less of it, because I love the compliments. This is where body chemistry comes in not RACE. I think some people no matter race just have good chemistry with certain smells and some don't, but I think most guys will smell good in this one.
For the record I've worn it for about 3.5 years. As a club back up
I wear Gucci Hommie in the simular bottle at Michael Kors. Last week work it to the club and just like Michael Kors got a tap on my shoulder by a cute female asking me what the heck I was wearing because I smell so damn good ! |
