FRAGRANCE TIPS
Men’s Cologne will generally last much longer than After Shave. However, many men choose to wear both. The fragrance lasts longer, you can use less of each, and you get the facial benefit of an After Shave.

XERYUS ROUGE COLOGNE REVIEW BY J.RIV
I some how got my hands on a small sample for 15 bucks... And this is a GREAT fragrance. As I posted on the Le Male board. Very very loud if I do say so myself. Even as loud as Minotaure was, but I guess that is more of a POWERFUL smell than sweet. Minotaure is rather funky due to the initial spray with OJ and Vanilla. At least to me, same with Pi. But both of them are in my top 5 oriental scents. They are the greatest, but XR seems to be on a different type of genre of sweetness. No vanilla notes makes it very interesting. But would you consider this a SEXY scent Barbara? And if so which would you choose between John Varvatos, Desire (Red liquid) and Xeryus Rouge? Thanks in advance!

XERYUS ROUGE COLOGNE REVIEW BY BARBARA W
Hi there, Jay, nice to "meet" you! You have an amazing nose for such a young age - that's fantastic! I know what you mean about wanting to find a great fragrance. When I was in high school, I was wearing Coco by Chanel when everyone else was wearing Jovan Musk or something like that! lol Welcome to fragrance addiction. ;-) I'll try to answer your questions as best I can. The first one - what does this smell like? Rouge reminds me of a grownup, sexier version of Dunhill's Desire. It is VERY distinctive and well balanced - not too sweet or sharp, just right. Slighty fruity topnotes, then it gets more spicy and the wood notes emerge on the drydown. It is very seductive. You will definitely not smell like everyone else if you wear this as it is fairly unknown. Not sure where you could test it, though. I found it at a very high end fragrance store. You might be able to find a mini if you search the internet. This is truly a magnificent scent and will set you apart from everyone else, but I would reserve this for the evening - it's not a daytime scent. Here are some of my favorite mainstream fragrances for men: the new Burberry London, most of the Bvlgari line (pour homme, Extreme, Blv, and Soir), Arpege pour homme by Lanvin (very sexy!), Hypnose by Lancome, Ambre by Baldessarini (very nice sweet/smoky/amber/rum notes), L'eau D'Issey *Bleue* and Bleue Eau Fraiche, Red Delicious by Donna Karan, M7 by Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci pour homme, Eau Sauvage by Dior. Some of these are light and fresh, others rich and sensual. There are many more, but I can't remember them right now...I'll post again when I'm more awake! ;-) Anyway, best of luck with your search for a signature scent. Xeryus Rouge will certainly put you on the map! Let me know what you think of it. I look forward to reading your posts. Take care! ~Barbara

XERYUS ROUGE COLOGNE REVIEW BY J.RIV
Well of course I'd be happy to suggest some other colognes. I'll go through a few. If you like fresh musky type scents I'd recommend 212 Men. A great anytime scent that I like as of late is YSL's L'homme. Very citriusy and great tones of ambers and wood. Truly excellent. Leau D'Issey by Issey Miyake is something that I really had a hard time with lol but it is loved by many. It is a very floural scent and while it is not really aquatic it has a very cool quality to it. Yet it is almost salty with hints of lavender (or at least what my nose tells me). Another scent by Givenchy that sparked my intrest was Very Irresistable. It smells of mocha and chocolate and is truly a pleasing smell. Unlike Thierry Mugglers Angel Amen which is totally dependent on your mood whether you'll tolerate it or not due to its cloying sweetness. If you like the whole Mocha coffee thing I'd definetly peep Attitude pour homme by Armani. It is a more sophisticated type of coffee smell with hints of lavender and musk. I liked it. lol. Then I'd suggest a few woodsy colognes, Pi which is an all time favorite of mine sweet almost feminine some say. Kenneth Coles Signature is VERY woodsy infact to my nose straight out of the bottle smells like someone has been cutting cedar. But is really pleasant. Then Vera Wang by Vera Wang. This is something that no woman really doesn't love. It is woodsy but still smooth, a more refined and masculine version of Pi. It has notes of Tabacco and from what I smelled leather and vanilla. If all those fragrances fail... try Curve...lol I hope I helped. Love, peace and hair grease!!

XERYUS ROUGE COLOGNE REVIEW BY J.RIV
Hey there, we haven't met yet. But I am Jay. I saw your post on the Le Male forum about this cologne and I wanted to ask you a few things if you dont mind. The first would be what does this smell like exactly? I read a lot of your reviews and out of all the primary people who post your reviews reflect the closest to my nose as well as Mario Justiani. The second is where would I find this fragrance? I do not remember coming across this when I bought Pi 2 weeks or so earlier at a Macys. The third would be probably the most important to me. Do you believe this cologne to be commonly worn? I have been looking for a signature, unique and remarkable scent. I have been trying to look for colognes with specific notes that are compatible with my personality... I fail every damn time too. I am terribly picky when choosing fragrances I wear. Even now as a teenager I hate mainstream scents. I rotate 212 men, Boss no.6, Pi and Lacoste Pour Homme regularly, with inbetween days with Escada Sunset heat, Lacoste Essential, and recently I've worn Claibourne Sport which I like now (again lol) for some reason. But I would like a single scent... Help my poor soul before I have no more room on my dresser for pictures of my girlfriends...Thanks in advance ; )

XERYUS ROUGE COLOGNE REVIEW BY JIXJAX
This one blows me away. Thankfully, the woman I am seeing found this to be quite appealing too. Resembles Ungaro III but I like this more. Can someone suggest something else for me? I also like Carlos Santana, Relax, and Escada. Love and peace.
