| Love the z-12, but the 1-12 is lousy. I made a big mistake by buying this 1-12. I thought it was
z-12.

| It’s nothing like Z-14, the fragrance Halston released the same year as 1-12; I can see why, of the two, this is the one that got discontinued. Much less masculine than Z-14, 1-12 is clean, and soapy... and that’s about it – but 1-12 is too feminine, too sweet, too synthetic and will give you one of the biggest “cologne headaches” of your life. It. Reeks. It’s surprising to me that Halston could put out such a cheap, terrible fragrance; I expect better from this house. Especially in ’76! How you release this next to Z-14 is beyond me. |

| I miss Halston 101 too - that unique Cedar/woodsy smell was unbelievably unique. I would love to see it re-introduced. |

| This is much better than Z-14. Spicy at first with a dry down that leaves a lasting sweet scent with musk undertones. Good for the office, casual and evening wear. |

| Does anyone know what happened to Halston 101???? This was absolutely my favorite men's cologne. I remember when it first came out and I followed this guy around the mall for over an hour just so I could smell that wonderful scent. Did they discontinue it? I saw some internet fragrance site had a bottle up for $299 :o If it is discontinued,why would they discontinue a Fifi award winner?? Anyone have any answers? |
