A blue version of the infamous original (which I don't like) and doesn't seem any better, oh well.

  • BUBBZ02/09/2011

I really believe, honestly, this fragrance makes women horny. My wifes girlfriends love to smell me and they ask me about it and tell me they love the way I smell and squeeze me while hugging me all of the time.

  • SEAN737302/09/2010

For those of you that don't like this cologne, stick to your acqua di gio and joop because you can't handle anything with depth.

  • JOEYBEAR01/24/2009

This is definitely a strange smell but I do like it. Has a very sharp minty aroma doesn't last very long, unfortunately.

  • HOW08/09/2008

Smells good on card, smells good on wrist, so i bought it. The next day i spray it on, it smells like insecticide. Really it's a good perfume but my body wouldn't agree with that. Too bad..

  • ERIC03/28/2008

I've always looked forward to Rob H.'s impressions about fragrances and now I look forward to Barbara W's, but Barbara you don't mind fragrances that have anise or licorice in them (Lolita Lempicka, Kenzo L'Elephant). I wonder if I would enjoy this with the anise in it. What do you think? Is it apparent that the anise is in it? Just curious?

  • BARBARA W03/16/2008

Official word on the street is that this is back in production. I'm going to stock up...

  • DARRSHAN01/11/2008

to begin with this fragrance is not for everyone, its not the routine stuff and yes it is very original not a copy of any perfume. try a sample before buying, u need guts to carry it off on u

  • LESTAT09/26/2007

Hmm lets see it has all the elements I like.. Doesnt give me a headache .. lasts long time.3 or 4 sprays on the chest will do.Dry down is great.

  • JEFFERY08/29/2007

I just returned from a quick trip, and while visting a Nordstrom store a representative for Issey Miyake fragrances was there for the launch of the new "INTENSE" version of the original L'EAU D'ISSEY. After talking to her for a bit, I expressed my being upset that L'Eau Bleue was being discontinued. Long story short, she said, "Don't be too disappointed, as you very well might see it back on the market." She noted that the way it was pulled so quickly, among other things from "corporate," that "you probably haven't seen the last of it yet." So let's keep our fingers crossed!!!

  • DHIREN08/23/2007

This perfume is so enigmatic...mysterious ...take the longest sniff u can n still wont be able to reach the depth of the perfume. VERY VERY ORIGINAL

  • CATHERINE07/19/2007

This is so nice on a man! Very masculine and natural smelling, totally unique. Popular with sexy Italian men. Sorry to hear it's being discontinued. What a tragedy.

  • JEFFERY07/14/2007

My first encounter with L'Eau Bleue happened at the World Passage Duty Free shop in the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. I was on a quick trip to Chicago that afternoon, and had a few hours on a layover. I very much remember spraying L'Eau Bleue on a tester strip and instantly thinking, "FINALLY, a men's fragrance with some attitude!!" It's been many years (perhaps ten) since a fragrance captivated me like L'Eau Bleue did that day. I bought a bottle on the spot. After checking out, I threw the test strip into the plastic bag, boarded my flight, and tossed the bag into my Tumi bag which was under the seat in front of me during the flight. During the flight, I kept getting faint hints of L'Eau Bleue and it really was a pleasure! I was in Chicago for four or five days, and I recall taking out that scent strip while there and smelling it over and over. It remained strong and evident day after day! The patchouli note in this scent is my favorite... I simply love it! Finally, a men's fragrance that has mastered the patchouli note! Unfortunately, I've been hearing rumors that BPI (Beauté Prestige International) is discontinuing this scent. If this is in fact true, it's truly upsetting news. The patchouli in this scent reminds me of the patchouli I can smell on warm, summer days when biking up here in Northern Michigan. To all who were involved with the creation of L'Eau Bleue... my utmost and sincere THANKS. It's a masterpiece!

  • SNAPSTAR07/12/2007

have tried most men eau de toillets and I rate this the worst, what a painful aroma.yuk.Dont waste your money on this crap

  • SNAIL05/16/2007

don't last??? all my pillows ... all my girlfriends' pillows... all my boyfriends' pillows smell the same L'EAU BLEUE D'ISSEY maybe the most long lasting fragrance I have ever tried

  • BARBARA W05/13/2007

Recently smelled the new "Eau Fraiche" version of Bleue and it's really fantastic! Even if you don't like the original, give it a shot. It's similar in quality to Bvlgari Extreme - fresh, clean, and herbal. I'm very sorry the original has been discontinued. It's a masterpiece that's very underappreciated, in my opinion.

  • BILL11/28/2006

Great opening....very unique. However this cologne does not last. No drydown....gone in 1 hour. Don't buy

  • TONY T10/31/2006

the 3 star rating.. totally original, masculine and long lasting undetermined kinda scent. more aqua or maybe romanticly green??

  • MARC09/12/2006

I think it depends on your body chemistry. I've had many compliments with this cologne. But I also get that from Herrera, Aqua Di Gio,Romance Silver, even Aspen. If you stink, no cologne is going to help you.

  • GEORGE E08/31/2006

I've not encountered one woman who like this! That includes retail saleswomen working the counter.

  • DENNIS08/15/2006

I love all the changes this fragrance goes through, woods, vegetal, herbal, then a slightly masculine inscense dry down. It's a true chameleon, and a surprising delight to wear. Although would not wear it while on Jay Leno so as to outdo him. lol

  • *BARBARA W*04/29/2006

This is simply fantastic! I can see people either loving or hating this cologne, but I think it is amazing...very unusual, mysterious and SEXY. Masculine. Reminds me of a adventure through an enchanted forest. Wear this if you if you have what it takes! :-)

  • AMAR02/07/2006

one of the best smell... i dunno why many ppl didnt like it... its really nice one n unique fragrance ! dont miss it

  • GREAT FOR SOME...02/02/2006

This is some unique and fantastic scent indeed! Not for everybody, that's for sure. I'd say, if you are one of those, who watch the crowd and go in the opposite direction, try this, it might be the scent of your life. But if you prefer, like most, to blend in and follow the crowd, don't bother, it's not for you.

  • BRUCE MALLORY02/02/2006

I can see why all the reviewers either love it, or hate it. It's not just your another cologne. It's unique, unlike anything else on the market, has nothing in common with regular Issey Miyake. Very sophisticated. Too sophisticated for an average man or woman.

  • MIKE01/25/2006

I have never in my life been so offended by a smell. This stuff is indescribably horrific smelling.

  • MARK DONOVAN11/02/2005

I've tried a truly large number of men's fragrance and this is definitely my No 1 favorite scent. It's very pleasantly unique, reminds of no other scent, exceptionally refined, really addictive. Not even close to the original Issey, but much, much better instead.

  • TONY T10/08/2005

great juice here.would an instant classic but check the price.great and long lasting but should have been renamed. i am an issey fan and this does not fall short

  • TONY T09/30/2005

hmm...i originally smelled this straight from the bottle and nearly fainted, but now the mystery in this deep, distant, decadent formula is still a mystery. very pleasing and i will go out on a limb and say aromatic, fougere juice.is that right mario?? definately a keeper but i must get minotaure and either magnetism or le roy soleli next.

  • GONZZO08/26/2005

This fragrance has that great quality that not many others have. It calms down after short while and it just smells better as you wear it. This is a fragrance with persolality so if you are a stereotype, and many of you out there are, you simply shouldn't even think about it. Stick to your Aqua di Gio, or Hugo Boss. It's not a bad product in any way. I keep returning to it myself. Strong at first, I thought too strong but it developed in a pleasent way and that's the good quality that a perfume should have. It's a mixture of herbs it seems. very unique.

  • DEJA VU08/11/2005

It is the most original perfume standing out in the market. If you feel bored with those stereotyped aquatic perfumes flooded in the market, go for this one! When I have this perfume on me, guys with Acqua di gio smell so cheap!

  • JENNY08/11/2005

It's smells just disgusting like some kind of toxical spray, medicine whatever that doesn't 'smell' good. It's so not what I expected from the name bottle etc.

  • JONA JACKSON LUCAS07/31/2005

What a wonderful smell it is. Remind of a mistery never completely discovered and also it remind me of some fairy tails in the middle of woodland while the moon is gaining power over the sun and the night is coming. My signature fragrance, by now. Surely not a unversal scent. I mean, not every one will like it, so try and decide by yourself. Have a good life!

  • DEEPLY07/30/2005

what a shame for Issey, Bleue is an impressive and awesome fragance.. i cant understand why people dont like.. well, i know the answer, the most people likes that aqua d gio smell.. or some calvin and popular perfumes... no,no, this fragance is amazing, the most unique notes on the market by Issey.. what happen people??

  • JASON1307/26/2005

the best way to judge a cologne is by women! When I went to Belks to sample this, the girl working in fragrance said you may not like this. I sprayed some on the paper and my skin and asked her to sniff and she stated she would not allow her boyfriend to where something that smells like this! She gave me a sample and I wore it to work and asked a few females to sniff and they were not impressed!! I really wanted to like it but I'll pass on this one!

  • TERRIBLE!07/25/2005

People wear frgrances to enhance their mood and mostly importantly to smell 'good'. This scent is basically offensive and you would rather not spray than to smell like this and expect compliments which you won't get any, as from my experience, people reacted to it like body odour, gas, bad breath sort of a reaction. Not something you would want after paying so much money for it to actually smell 'good' Luckily it was only a sample, and it had been one of the most embarrassing experience. Terrbile smell, it should be used as a those 'fart sprays' with a purpose to pull a joke on someone.

  • ANDREÈ07/23/2005

i cant understand the reaction with this guys... go to buy that armani thing and be happy with some cheap smell !! this stuff is amazing....! what happen with this people, this fragance is awesome, very herbal notes...? yeah, but mix it with an strange and deep wall of impressive notes that make it unique !!

  • PACO07/19/2005

I love this fragrance. I used to love the original Issey, but now I can't stand it now that I bought Issey Bleue. Some have said that it's too spicy, but I really enjoy this frangrance.

  • HMM07/06/2005

What happend to that fresh n clean Leau Dissey???? This is one of those fragrances I can't stand.. It is in the category of Polo (greeen original), Paco , Rive Gauche

  • SPIRAL07/04/2005

no , no ... this is not a CUBA red smell, dont compare it with Issey ! this is an amazing and unique fragance on the market, really hard to explain the smell... theres a mistery in this fragance... Issey knows the secret.. jejeje

  • OMG07/03/2005

I loved L'eau D'issey that's refreshing and clean..This one smells way too heavy, smells like chinese medicine...and sooo much wood it's just disgusting... I wouldn't want to smell like this and many would be offended to sniff this..It's as bad as Polo (green)

  • CB06/30/2005

The thing that throws people off about this scent is they expect it to be a slightly heavier version of the original, but it is not. It is more a masculine scent in the way of Michael Kors or a number of scents that smell like cigars. If you expect the original of this fragrance, you will be disappointed, but if you like that more masculine, woodsy scent you will not be. This scent reminds me of Cuba Red, if any of you have tried it. Compare it for yourself.

  • BLUE AIR06/19/2005

Amazing, so deep, so wonderful, a fragance to understand, very complex smell, sensual, impressive and so exciting ! Issey , is amazing

  • SPA04/29/2005

The new Issey Bleu is very nice. It is lighter and more subtle than the original, which I find to be heavy and very strong. When I wear anything with Patchouli it is usually overwhelming but in Issey Bleu is subtle and pleasant, not overpowering.

  • DR. VLADAS MAZELIS04/21/2005

This is truly a stellar scent. It smells like nothing else and it's the most gorgeous scent!

  • VLADAS MAZELIS04/21/2005

A truly fantastic scent. Similar to nothing. Nothing is like it, nothing comes close to it.

  • DERMOT N. DONOVAN04/21/2005

This is my signature scent. The marketing description of it is very true. It's the most enchanting scent I've ever smelled. Truly gorgeous. Does not last long, though, and needs to be reapplied frequently. It's strong and even overwhelming in the beginning but fades away quickly. Still, it's the most wonderful scent I've ever smelled, so it's 5 stars, no less! It has nothing to do with Issey Miyake regular, so don't confuse. Buy the Blue only.

  • XRONOS04/13/2005

Like some others, when I heared about new fragrance, I wanted to try it and I hoped, that it could be my new favourite. I expected some fresh (more fresh than original l'Eau) ...... BUT the new one is not fresh at all. It's much more heavy and is stronger than first ISSEY :( I don't want to say, that this perfume is bad (of course, some will like it) but DEFINITELY it is not adequate sequel of original l'Eau.

  • JDD03/21/2005

Met a guy who was wearing this and I just HAD to ask him what it was. He offered me a spritz and it wasn't so good on me. Must have been my bad chemistry. But the remnants on my jacket cuffs reminded me of him. It's nice, but it's better as the day wears on, not when you first apply.

  • ARAMIS03/17/2005

i purchased this cologne. This smell good after 2 hours, but if you can smell it. because it is very light and non long lasting. even if i sprayed 6-7 times to my body, other peoples can not feel my collogne.

  • LOS03/13/2005

I had been excited upon hearing about Issey's new fragrance and been eager to smell it!! I had already made plans that if it smelled good and had great quality like the original, then this would be my new scent. I just recently was able to sample it and I thought it was terrible! This will probably be one of those scents that either you like it or you don't. No in-betweens. The two ladies working the cosmetics counter waited for my reaction and then one of them said "What in the world was Issey thinking!" For those of you that have not smelled it yet but have smelled P.E. 360 blue, this is identical.

  • CALVIN03/12/2005

Nice follow up to the original Issey. The best thing about Issey blue is that it only takes two or three light sprays and you're good for the entire day. And the best thing is, as the day progresses you notice that it starts smelling like the original Issey which is fantastic in my book!

  • X8302/23/2005

L'eau D'Issey is one of my favorite colognes of all time, so naturally when i heared about this cologne, I just had to try it. I tried it and it smelled horrible!! I guess the cologne just didn't match my body chemistry, because it was so bad i had to wash it off.

  • R.J.02/02/2005

A CLASSIC IN THE MAKING. THE WOMEN SWOON OVER IT NOW. GOOD JOB, ISSEY.

  • TORRO02/02/2005

i got this perfume few days ago and i have to say it's awesome...not as strong as the first issey but it's deep and citrus, i don't know why but it reminds me on summer nights

  • MR C01/31/2005

I BOUGHT THIS FRAGRANCE OFF OF THE PURE EXCITEMENT OF SMELLING IT, I SMELLED SO GOOD I COULD HAVE BONED MYSELF, AND THAT IS DANGEROUSLY GREAT. IM A BIG FAN OF ISSEY FRAGRANCES BUT THIS ONE MOVED TO THE TOP OF THE LIST IN TERMS OF THE POSSIBILITY, FOR THE WOMEN I ENCOUNTER, BEING AS EAGER TO GIVE ME SOME,AS I AM TO GIVE THEM SOME AS WELL. A TRUE FRAGRANCE I WILL WEAR FOREVER.

  • JOHNNY01/12/2005

Everytime I wear this, people are always complimenting me on how good it is. Women seem to love the smell it has and I have never had anyone tell me it was not a great smell.

  • W.B.01/10/2005

I LOVE THIS SCENT. IT'S A NICE FOLLOW UP TO THE FIRST ONE, WHICH IS A CLASSIC IN MY COLLECTION. THE ADVANTAGE TO THIS IS THAT IT'S NOT NEARLY AS STRONG AS THE ORIGINAL AND IT IS MORE VERSATILE. I SEE THIS AS BEING JUST AS POPULAR IF NOT MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL AND THE WOMEN WILL REALLY LOVE THIS ON YOU FELLAS. KEEP IT GOING STRONG, ISSEY.
