As good now as then. This was one of the first fragrances I purchased as well as Halston for men. While I no longer wear Halston I recently purchased another bottle of this and remembered why I enjoyed it so much. It still smells as great as I recalled.

I ran across this old bottle of mine this is as potent as it was some 20 years ago. Virile and bold, it reflect a world that used to becon to young travellers. Yes, scent tells a story of Paris before it became trite and overpriced.

Yes, this stuff is very 80's. It is big time masculine and smells very nice. This is how real men should smell. I think the the male fragrance from Oscar is better. This stuff just seems to boring to me and not all that powerful for a 80's scent. It is good, no question, just a little boring for me. Would not buy it. But not terrible.

Wow - this is a bomb! Breathtaking spicy and dangerous like hell!!! Pour Lui is a bold and unique fragrance. Very masculine. Far away from watery-oceanic-light-modern-fragrances. If you are a Cool Water-Man, please stay away!!!!!!!!!! Here a description: "Top-note: Fresh/spicy - Aldehyde, Anise oil, Basil oil, Bergamot oil, Cumin, Galbanum, Juniperberry, Lavender, Thyme. Middle-note: Spicy/woody - Carnation, Cedarwood oil, Cinnamon, Cyclamen, Fern, Geranium, Patchouli, Vetiver. Base-note: Leathery/mossy - Fir, Labdanum, Leather, Moss, Musk, Oilbanum." I can smell more Carnation and Patchouli than Cinnamon. This is hot stuff - please handle it with care. Pour Lui is categorized as a leathery Chypre, which means that it is not an oriental fragrance. I think Pour Lui smells good - but I would like it much better if the drydown has a hint of vanilla/amber. It's not a soft spicy scent - this fragrance has edges. Not suitable for a young blond sporty man. This is more for a latin lover 45+++.

For me this is such an awesome scent... so rich, so noble, and so provocative... he thinks it's far too heavy on the cinnamon and there is no way in hell or earth he'd ever wear it... I know it would just make him nauseous so I will let him off the hook on this one, but... oh well :) I love it! and if you guys like it wear it!!!... I will enjoy having a whiff of this in the air no matter where or when it come from...

It's a great fragrance. Use it sparingly, it's strong. It's sexy and women love it if you don't over do it. It works for me.

  • IMRAN03/30/2005

Its just too strong, spraying it once will make you dizzy and your nose burn. Smell is ok, not the best but not a write-off either.

  • JJ02/08/2005

"Yummy" "I wanna eat you alive" "my bed smells like you" "you're not getting your shirt back" -some of the comments I've gotten about this cologne. Yeah, it IS strong, so don't wear so much. This stuff is elegant and sophisticated.

It was given to me as a gift from my sister. First I thought she had given me a fragrance for women. Still I have used it frequently. First the citrus-part is distinct but after a while the deeper more sweet and spicy notes becomes more dominant. A bit too heavy for everyday use.

I use this parfum 7 or 8 years before and I don t forget the bad smell....old fashioned and strong....awful

  • DAVID10/02/2003

The best - masculine and unique

  • CHRIS COLOGNE09/03/2003

At first I thought this was a womens fragrance. I was reading the Pour lou and thought it meant "for women". It is an interesting scent, a bit sweet with a hint of musk and maybe tobacco if my nose is right. It's far better than Oscar, which is very sweaty, sour smelling. I also like the dark blue-green sleek bottle. Now ill have to go back to tthe store to buy it after finding out it's for men!
