A well known fragrance, which I could not find elsewhere. An excellent Christmas present for "My Lady"!

  • WENDY08/24/2012

I have been using this perfume since 1964 and I'm still receiving compliments on this subtle fragrance. I've tried others, but nothing else seems to suit.

  • SUSAN TANGA04/07/2012

A very mature old-fashioned lovely fragrance that gets compliments wherever, whenever..

  • AUGUSTA GRAYSON02/27/2012

Great to be able to get this perfume for my Mum - it's down to the last stocks in the world! She's loved wearing it for nearly 40 years.

  • Like Margaret, I too wouldn't wear any other perfume. My mother-in-law sent it to me in the late 60's. I don't know how she knew, but she did. I am always being asked about it. I wouldn't wear any other perfurme. I too, like someone else, wish I had kept the original bottles!

  • MARY08/15/2008

is the perfume sold today the original formula . my mother wore it years ago and bottle says paris. I went to buy it the other day and it was made in SA(southamerica) does anyone know where to find the original ?

  • GABRIELLA03/23/2008

Utterly divine...for years I have been and continue to be stopped everywhere and asked what scent I am wearing by men and women. Madame Rochas is the only perfume I have worn since it came out. I wish I had kept all my original bottles and containers. A blissful gift for women!

  • LASTING POWER04/11/2007

What is the lasting power of scent - does it differ with the strength one purchases? Thank you - it sounds wonderful.

  • LADYISIS11/08/2006

MADAME Rochas has been MY SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE FOR ABOUT 45 YEARS.I remember "RAIDING" MY GIRL-FRIEND's MOTHER's BOIDOIR, and DROWNING MYSELF IN ("THE REAL") MADAME Rochas (EDP)-(IN THE WHITE PACKAGING, WITH THE GOLD Fleur-de-Lys).It BRINGS BACK GOOD MEMORIES. IT IS ELEGANT, CLASSY--and VERY SEXY.(NOT AN "OLD LADIES' FRAGRANCE", but DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE "BABY-GIRLS", EITHER--SO SOPHISTICATED, and JUST A LITTLE BIT DECADENT--YOU "GOT's" TO BE OVER 18.

  • MARGARET08/27/2006

I find this fragrance to be non pareil. I have enjoyed it since it came out in either the late 60's or very early 70's.

  • ANGELIQUE06/28/2006

This is nice, but completely uninspiring for me. I'd wear it if there were nothing else to wear, but it doesn't really enthuse me. It's a mixture of powdery and soapy.

  • GREEKGIRL06/27/2006

Hi Kasey, you could try Lancome Attraction or JE Reviens by Worth as they are both in the same family as Madame Rochas, hope this helps, bye Helen.

  • KASEY04/12/2006

I'm trying to find a beautiful perfume for my mother as a gift. Her favourite for many years has been Madame Rochas. So what other fragrances would a Madame Rochas lover like?

  • FAIRLIND03/27/2006

I don't know if may rose and rode de mai are the same ingredient, but this perfume has something in common with L'Air du Temps that just doesn't agree with me. Too bad, I wanted to like it, since I love Eau de Rochas.

  • LESLIE03/06/2006

Where can I locate this perfume (the perfume, NOT the eau de toilette)? I wore it as a young adult, 25 yrs ago, and I can't locate it anywhere ANYONE?

  • BEBE BULLET07/12/2005

full of sin. divine. colorful. relaxing. a spirit kindred of the soul. very nice.

  • DARLENE03/09/2005

Yes, this will always and forever be my favorite perfume. It brought my husband to me, and hes still here 30 years later.

  • D.02/19/2005

MMMMmmmmThat's what I get when i have this on. It isn't too perfumey just smells right. Clean like i just stepped out of a shower. At least that's what my husband says. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm.. and then we cuddle.

  • SHARRIE12/30/2004

  • KELLEY03/11/2004

This scent is immediately recognizable and distinctive. A masterpiece that is still around. Sweet and rich, very classy.

  • KELLEY03/11/2004

This is a fragrance masterpiece that is still around ... it's very distinctive, rich and immediately recognizable. Day or evening wear - it's that versatile.

  • SUSANNE SMITH01/16/2004

I smelled this as someone walked past me and the lingering scent was divine. I had to get some for myself. Never before has a perfume scent stayed with me in mind as much as this one.

  • PAULA01/08/2004

A friend would buy it for me every year when he went to France. Now you can get it here and I LOVE IT...I am in my mid 40's and everyone I come across loves it as well.

  • NICO10/27/2003

I find that calling a perfume "old lady's scent" is a compliment!! All teeneger perfumes are simply awful at the moment!!

  • JOY06/03/2003

I just got this fragrence and I love it. It is beautiful, soft, and sexy. This is not an old lady scent; it's just not for teeny boppers who like cheap chemicals in their fragrences. This is wonderful. Thank you for selling it.

  • STEPHANIE05/12/2003

I'm trying this for the first time, now that I have a sample of it. I don't know whether it's EDT or EDP, but whatever it is, I like it! Maybe because of the Madame in the name I was expecting it to be heavy (not necessarily a bad thing) so I was surprised at how light it really is. On me it seems to have a bit of a honey smell to it, but not overly sweet. It's a floral aldehyde, and I see that hyacinth is one of the top notes. I've always liked that. I'm thinking of a garden of all kinds of flowers surrounded by bees and butterflies. I think I would like this enough to buy, and I'm glad I got a chance to try it first!

  • FRAN04/29/2003

I have been using it and loving it since 1961,when I discovered it in Paris. Everyone still asks me what the georgeous scent is ,including most males! I will never use any other perfume!!!!!!

  • GRACE04/25/2003

It is a "classic" fragrance, loved by those who appreciate the perfumiers' art. Perhaps Madame Rochas doesn't love YOU, Jasmine!

  • VIOLET12/14/2002

Pure perfume is discontinued. They produce only EDT and EDP. I have EDT. I haven't tried the older version, but quite satisfied with this one. BTW they say France leaves Madame and Femme for itself and they won't be sold anywhere but in France. Has anyone else heard about that?

  • ELIZABETH11/16/2002

The pure perfume is very hard to find but has an incredible floral, woody fragrance. Unfortunately most people only get the edt and edp and they ARE HORRIBLE!

  • JASMINE10/17/2002

Sorry but this is the grandmother of all old lady scents. Smells like hair spray or cheap deodorant. Very aldehydic and clogs your lungs.

  • MICHAEL HECHT03/21/2002

My russian girl friend takes Madame Rochas and I adore her for doing this. Michael

  • AIMEE12/19/2001

1st try: Somewhat similar to Mystere, except fresher with no animalic smells. It wore off to a very clean, fresh smell. 2nd time: Soft, powdery lotion; rose; hairspray; apple.

  • SERENLEAH04/08/2001

This is a trully unforgettable and classic fragrance. It is sultry and sensuous, alluring and hypnotic. A true floriental, with lingering undertones of sandalwood and incense-like notes. Madame Rochas is a long-lasting fragrance that leaves a lasting impression.
