| oo I like it! It's in between the super potent & hard to wear Narcisse Noir, and the oh so sweet vavoom ones like Boucheron. I like both of those, but not for everyday wear. Opening clear orangey sandalwood, heart is yummy complex but so smooth chypre, comfy.. not overly sweet or girly, base is a little softer. Not too overpowering sillage. All the notes get to play in this beautiful blend, and I like how the orangey smell keeps peeking out. What does Jonquil smell like?! Love the bottle, and the price. |

| Catalyst by Halston for Women.
Year Introduced: 1993.
Scent Type: Floral.
Top Notes: Jonquil, tuberose, otto of rose, jasmine absolute, galbanum.
Heart Notes: Black currant bud, lily of the valley, violet, chamomile, herbs.
Base Notes: Vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, musk.
"Catalyst is a fragrant floral creation from the house of the late fashion designer Halston. The potent feminine scent is said to have been created for the woman who has the "ability to cause a reaction, in whatever world she claims as her own."
The full-bodied floral bouquet is blended with fragrant woods for a warm, lingering aura. The essence of jonquil is used as the basis of the fragrance, a rare choice because its essence is difficult to distill.
Catalyst is presented in fluid glass flacons, similar in line to a flowing Halston evening gown. "©

| WOW - headnotes smell amazing!!! Clean, green, floral, fruity?, sharp and breathtaking. Uncomplicated but complex. Strong and long-lasting American-style-fragrance! After 10 minutes the dry-down smells more subtle, creamy, cosy and warm. Beautiful feminine fragrance - I'm happy to have this rare bottle in my collection. A hard-to-find in Germany. Only via internet. I can recommend Catalyst. It not so mature/classic/serious like Halston classic (chypre), more uplifting and youthful. Yes, I like both. Enjoy.

| Found this in my sisters collection and tried it. Boy was i surprised to find myself liking it very much. Don't like the other halston scents but this one is definitely very unique and smells very sophisticated!! oldie but goodie. |
