| If Egoiste was such an excellent fragrance, it would still be more readily available, instead of being sold through Chanel at a premium, as you stated. That's Chanel's way of tricking you into believing this not so good niche fragrance is better that it actually is. But apparently you don't want to believe that. Also, don't assume some one isn't "sophisticated" because they don't like a particular product. I've tried and owned several high end fragrances, and although I like Chanel, Egoiste is a misstep by the company. |

| I adore this one so much I wore it myself! swoooooon......think tall, dark Eurobusinessman in a bespoke suit, smoking a fine cigar whilst seated in a big leather club chair-oh la la! Not for everyone-everyone's chemistry and perception is different. But as someone else here said, if you hate it, please send me your rejected bottles!!!! |

| Each Chanel cologne is absolutely awesome!!! Don't even compare and say Platinum is better. They are not the same. I own all Chanel and each one is the best!!!! |

| To "Chris Cologne" regarding your comments on this fragrance.....NO, Egoiste was not discontinued at all. It is still sold at a premium price because it is by Chanel. This fragrance is still of great appeal to the foreign market which has the "sophistication" to appreciate it. Used in moderation it is very pleasing to the olfactory sense. Of course, everyone has their own taste, too. |
